Hello February!

Well Its been a good start to the New Year.. Didn't end up doing much for New Years..I had a cough then, and I STILL HAVE A STUPID COUGH. I dont know what else to do about it.. seems a lot of folks have it, including my Doctor who has had his since Dec 22... I've taken Codeine, steroids, antibioics, Delsym, Mucinex, and I even tried drinking a bottle of Tennessee Whiskey..lol.. It didn't work either, but figured I would quit coughing, or either pass out...Lol. BUT.. so far, none of those things have worked and I am still coughing.. So annoying..

Payslee got a new Valentine Dress, and a new Easter Dress...The Easter dress is above, and I'll get some pics of the Vaentine Dress this week when we go on our visits.. She's been doing great at Therapy Visits, and Sawyer is actually doing really good too now! He likes to just sit with the little ladies and let them pet him. He's so soft that they all love doing that. So I'm very proud f both of them..Rally is 14 now..he's had such an interesting life with me. I got him in College..he moved with me to Corpus Christi, back to Weatherford, To OKC.. He's seen a lot in his life! He' still going strong too.. He can't hardly hear anymore, and his eyes aren't what they used to be..but he loves playing with Sawyer and running around still, so thats all I can ask for!

MJ & I are planning a trip to Colorado at the end of this month. We are going to a place called Monument..We are going to take the dog babes and stay in a cool cabin. Its a 10 hour drive (I hate driving) but hopefully it will be fun once we get there.. MJ loves Colorado, and I think the dogs will like bouncing around in the moutains. We leave on March 1 and are going to stay about 3 days.. It will be funtimes!

Work is going great. I am still amazed by the awesome things Chesapeake offer me. And very grateful for the opportunities they give us. I had my meeting with Aubrey, and I can tell you, he's just as cool and dynamic in person as he is on paper, and on TV.. Very cool guy. Also very cool that he still meets with every single new employee in his company, and he has over 12,000.. So you can see that would be time consuming, so I'm glad he's still willing to do it.

MJ and I are going to an awesome Church class called "Prep For Marriage".. its so good..and so something EVERYONE who is even thinking about getting married should go to. Dr. Kim Kimberling teaches it, and we've met some awesome new couples in it, and learned some great things. its 8 weeks long and we are in week 5 and just love it. All is good in Sheperd town!! Oh, and PS, I love Pinterest! If you aren't following me, you can here..

Christmas and Vegas!

Mom & I at Mandalay Bay--Las Vegas

Got in late last on Wednesday night. Southwest flights.. blargh. The one on the way out there was nice because it was a straight shot to Vegas. But then on the way home, they made us change planes in Phoenix (flight was delayed).. So we were supposed to leave at 7:55..didn't end up leaving till 8:45..That got us into Oklahoma at 11:30.. so long day. We left Vegas at 4:45 (their time)..another time change in Phoenix, then again in Oklahoma so I was all jacked up by the time I got home..Also had twin screaming toddlers, and a new-born baby hollering all the way home. LUCKY ME! I have been battling horrible allergies and I think because of that its weakened my immune system so I went to the Dr. Yesterday and she gave me a steroid shot...but then last night I guess I OD'd on allergy meds.. Had the steroid, the Aleve D, a Zyrtec D, and an Ibuprofin.. then realized, that I COULD NOT SLEEP AT ALL! Too much pseduoephederine I suppose, so I was up till 4am.. Ridiculous. Not doing that again.

Had a great time in Vegas..Stayed 3 days, 2 nights and that was plenty.. Got in around 1 (vegas time) on Monday..went to a show at BB Kings to hear some blues music.. and had some drinks at Fleur.. We stayed at Mandalay Bay since thats where the Michael Jackson show was playing. Then got up on Tuesday and went to the mile of shop to do some shopping.. got myself some sequined pink Uggs, and you the glitter red ring... I had seen the Red/Gold/Silver sparkle uggs, but not the Pink, and I loved them.. Then went to the Michael Jackson show.. it was awesome..good music, good acrobatics. They had these guys wearing light up suits that were great..plus I just loved the Cirque shows.. such talented people, and the music was awesome.. I just love Michael Jackson music, so it was a great show to watch..plus it was the last night of it in Vegas, so everyone was there. So the Vegas trip with mom was Awesome!

WE also had a good Christmas..Jordan got his guns.. He got a Beretta Hand gun from my dad, and a scope from my mom.. he was thrilled..Got a bunch of other small stuff.. I got money from dad and mom.. So with that money I bought a new Lazy Boy.. the back had fallen off mine (it was about 12 years old) so it was time to replace. Got one today at the Lazy Boy store.. Its very comfy. Also went back to the dentist today to get a porcelain crown put on.. man, they can make those things look so real nowdays! So that is done.. Now one more crown and I'm home free!

Supposed to have a New Years outing today, but a lot of my friends are not feeling well.. Including me.. So I'm not sure what we are going to do. WE are supposed to go to Mcnallies tonight for drinks and food..but not sure any of us are going to make it.

In reflecting on this year I'm so happy to be where I am. I have an amazing job, amazing family, amazing dogs, and an amazing man.. Looking forward to more awesome things to come in 2012~!

Peanut brittle heart time

So I've realized that I love Peanut brittle..I had forgotten how much till recently.. My grandma Leona used to make it for me at Christmas, and I guess I always have that memory which makes me love it even more.. There is an amazing Chef here at Chesapeake that made it for me yesterday and its so good.. I just love it. I've sort-of been sharing it.. lol.

MJ gave us quite a scare last week.. He woke up in the night with his heart racing and we couldnt get it to go back down.. A normal heart rate beats at 60-100 beats.. his was racing to the point that he could feel it in his throat, and was short of breath, so we decided to head over to Mercy to get him looked at.. Well when they hooked him up to the machine his heart was beating at 180..not good.. so they gave him some meds, and it went down to about 130, but they couldn't get it to go much lower than that so they admitted him to the Heart Hospital where he was given two options 1) take more meds and see if that works to bring it down or 2) Shock his heart.. The shocking thing sounds crazy, but its not as bad as you think it is.. They knock you out, and do a small shock to regulate your heart beats..kinda "shock" it back into beating correctly.. So he opted to do that because he wanted to go home (t was Bedlam the next day) lol.. So they came in, shocked him, and it worked immediately!

The problem he has is called Atrial fibrillation (AF or A-fib) is the most common cardiac arrhythmia (abnormal heart rhythm). It is a common cause of irregular heart beat, identified clinically by taking a pulse. Chaotic electrical activity in the two upper chambers (atria) of the heart result in the muscle fibrillating (i.e., quivering), instead of achieving coordinated contraction.. It can be caused by a number of things, so they didn't really give him a to-do, not -to-do list, but he goes back tot he doctor tomorrow. They did put him on some heart meds, and a blood thinner, and tomorrow we will see if he needs to stay on those or not. They did stress the importance of aspirin..so for those of you who may have clots, asprin is literally a life saver, so remember that. My grandpa Shep died of a stroke, and I can tell you that is something you don't want to go through, or watch someone you love go through.

MJ is good now though. Has to lay off the caffeine, so thats been tough, but drinking 6 pops a day is NOT good for anyone, so thats probably for the best. We are very excited about Christmas! I've gotten people some amazing gifts, so I'm excited to give them to them! Plus MJ is getting some awesome stuf.. I know what it is, and he is going to be so excited!! I'm also excited about my presents.. of course..

The babes and I have been visiting.. Sawyer went last week with Payslee & I, and he was such a sweet guy! He's really getting better at being a therapy dog. Meanwhile Miss P's Christmas dress came in, and its adorable! Can't wait for you all to see it! I'm going to take pics of her in it this week, so I'll post them soon!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Well this year has just flown by! I can't believe we are already at Thanksgiving time..but I always love this time of year..I loved it even more when I drove to work this morning and the ChesaCampus was all lit up with those amazing lights..Man, they really go all out! So my hair is dark now..I must change it too much because I really can't tell the difference..but people tell me its very different..I like it though, and it was by MJ's request..

Being that it is Thanksgiving I thought I'd go over my Thankful list: ( In No Particular Order)

1) I'm Thankful to have an amazing family.. Especially around this holiday time I am thankful that I had a mom and dad who took me to church and allowed me to learn the true meaning of Christmas. I feel so sad for those kids who never get to go to church because their parents are too lazy to take them, or too crazy to take them. They miss out on the cool stories about Noah, Adam, Zaccheus, and more.. They also miss out on learning that even if they are around bad stuff, bad people and bad situations that there is always someone looking out for them, willing to help, and willing to listen..And to know they always have a friend in Jesus.

2) I'm thankful for a great boyfriend.. This has been an interesting year for MJ and I to say the least.. but we made it through it. He's my best friend, and even though most of the time I think I have him scratching his head about the things I do and say, he does love me..He's a patient man, and a sweet man, and to be with me, you have to have both of those qualities. Plus Payslee & Sawyer are crazy about him!

3) I'm thankful for a great job. I never thought I would enjoy anything after the radio business..and truth be told, I still miss it every single day, and every single time someone asks me about it. But I have realized that working for good people who actually want you to succeed at your job, and encourage you to do so is Amazing.. Not only that, but pay you well, reward you, and support you! Its been crazy, because in radio that is NON-existent. I've never had a boss that wanted me to go to training, or told me I do a good job..so this has really been a blessing.

4) I'm thankful to have an Amazing relationship with the Lord, and an awesome Church home. Crossings has been such a blessing to me throughout the years..Especially during some of my darkest days when I lost my job. I was surrounded by so many smart people who offered guidance and wisdom about the path I was on..and what I should be doing.. I look back now and realize that the Lord always has a hand in what we are doing..whether you acknowledge that or not..He's always in charge. At the time I lost my job, I lost a big part of who I was and felt like I didn't even know what I was supposed to be doing anymore.. Terry Feix said to me, "KC Did you ever think that God probably already knew you were great at radio, so now he's prepping you for something else?".. wow..Never even considered that, but Now I'm so excited about it! I've met an awesome guy at Chesapeake named Robin Wood, and I can tell that he is also going to be very important to me, and he's already a blessing..I have so many people around me that say they dont' go to church because they don't believe in "organized religion" or "I'm smarter than most pastors"..and the one that is the worst to me is "Your God is an angry God, and I don't believe in him..he lets bad things happen to good people".. those are the folks I pray for every night because I know they are hurting, and lost.. it took me a LONG time to find Crossings, but man, it was worth the hunt!

5) I'm thankful for my sweet dogs. Payslee, Sawyer, and Rally make me laugh every day, and they are so loving and cute.. I love the fact that they are so sweet and make everyone else laugh too. Payslee has turned into an amazing therapy dog who always seems to know just what people need..and Sawyer is so patient and gentle with everyone who loves on him.. Rally is almost 14 now and not going as strong as he used to, but he's still kicking on!

Those are my biggies..Now for some Random things I'm thankful for..

1)That Rob Kardashian didn't win dancing with the stars! I'm so sick of that whole family! I don't want to hear anything else about them!

2)My Iphone 4s.. Siri is amazing..and so is the Iphone..Man I love that invention!

3)American Horror Story.. What a great show!

4) Spray Tans.. Who knew you could look so dark without having to lay in the sun and get cancer!

5) Good Hairdressers..without Nicole at Changes my hair would not be as fabulous!

6) Popcorn..who cares about the movie..give me the popcorn!

7) 30" computer monitors.. Its like looking at a big TV at work!

8) Thyroid Meds..My metabolism is -36%, and this is supposed to kick it up a notch!

9) Woofs Gone Wild--without this awesome store, I couldnt order Miss Payslee so many cute dresses!

10) New Friends..This has been a year of meeting new people and trying new things..and I'm so glad I did it!

Chesaweeeeen & Broken Thyroid

Well being that most of you know how crazy competitive I am, it will be no surprise to you that my team WON the Chesapeake Skit Contest for Halloween! Which means we walked away with a $2,000 prize! How great is that! I have been excited about Chesaween since I first got hired there because its such a big deal! They give away cars, trips, cameras, computers, TV's, vacations, etc.. So I was already on board..well then I found out you also got prizes for dressing up for Halloween, which I Always do every year.. So I was in the Hallway talking about Costume ideas and a person from my team said "You know we have never even entered the contest" and I was like "WHAT!".. so from that point on, we started planning..

We came up with a great idea called "Office Move".. it was a skit about having to change offices..For those of you who don't know, Chesapeake does about 5,000 moves per year..which means you will move from building nine to building 13, or building 5 to building 7..and so on and so fourth..so the skit was about the Computer equipment being sick of moving and not wanting to go. My costume was a "UPS Battery Backup" which is basically (for those non-IT people) like a giant surge protector that keeps you from losing all your documents and work if the power should go out..

I built my costume, and also the costume of the "Desktop PC"..and all our costumes looked amazing! You can see the front and back of mine to the left..As you can see our costumes were GIANT and we fit inside them..We also had a giant phone, giant keyboard, two monitiors (shown above) and a mouse..It was a great skit and my team did awesome, so we were thrilled that we won!

So the Halloween party was awesome..I didn't win a car or trip, but was happy with my portion of the $2,000 prize for sure! Plus there were some amazing costumes, Gene Simmons from KISS, The Swiffer Wet jet girl, Whole Foods, Zombies, smurfs, etc.. Payslee & Sawyer looked so cute in their Bee Costumes..Sawyer was a little apprehensive at first, but then realized he was really cute and started hamming it up. We've been visiting a couple that has been married for 65 years and met during WW II. So cool to hear their love story of writing love letters and building their own house..Very neat people.

On another high note, at Chesapeake they do something each year called a "Health Check" encouraging good health with blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, etc checks.. And if you pass it, you get a $300 bonus at the end of the year, and money off your insurance premium..So I went and had mine done last week and I passed! So that is awesome..it also showed the problem with my thyroid..Apparently a normal working thyroid operates at a 1-3 range (I dont really know what any of that means) but mine is operating at 6..which means its really not working at all! Well this was really good news because my metabolism was a -36% and I have been working out for 3 months and not really seen any weight loss or results..so now we know why! So I have some thyroid meds that I started taking today, and I'm really excited to see if that helps with the weight loss..

MJ has a new hobby now.. Hunting wild pigs. Lol. He has been going with his friend who has land near Ada, and the wild hogs are tearing up his land..So far they have shot....NONE...but he's going to try it again tonight. Being that he is a 'city boy'..he has not had the pleasure of hunting like most of my family has done all my life..so now he's getting excited about Deer Season, Turkey hunting, and anything else! This is the first time he's ever been able to shoot his assault rifle, so he's been having a good time..and his next hunting trip will be to the farm to shoot a Turkey for Thanksgiving!

They are tiling my bathroom this weekend..and its such a pain..3 day event.. and I cant leave my house.. blargh. Already sick of that.. Also sick of anything pertaining to the Kardashians, because that whole family is full of media whores.. and I was sad to hear about Andy Rooney.. My mom always loved him, and turned me onto his 60 minutes bit a few years ago..I loved him too, but so cool that he got paid to give his honest opinion for so many years.

Who has negative Metabolism??

So I've been working out fiercely for 2 months..and when I say fiercely, for me, I mean 5 days a week for an hour.. I get there at 6am, and workout till 7, 5 days a week, which I think is pretty good.. I do 30-45 minutes of cardio, and then I either go lift weights, or do some sort of strengthening exercises..

So I'm going along and a month in, NO weight loss, Not feeling any differnt..I got nuthin.. I of course find this very irritating.. So I decide to ask one of the trainer what the heck is going on, because why would you work out every day if you are seeing ZERO benefits from it?? So he puts me on a circuit training program along with my cardio, but also suggests I get a test done for my resting metabolic rate.. so I signed up. Well you go into this room and lay flat for 15 minutes while you are breathing into a tube..your nose is pinched, so you can only breathe into that tube.. So I sit there, and after 15 minutes she comes back and goes over my printout.. and I find out my Resting Metabolic rate is NEGATIVE 36%!!! What the hell is that about! So basically to put that into perspective.. If I worked out, and hour a day, like I have been, I could still only consume 1000 calories if I ever wanted to lose weight! Heck you could do HCG eat 700 calories and NOT work out and lose weight! So as you see, this was quite defeating to me..

But all is not lost.. My benefits kick in on November 1st..which means I can take me results to the Dr. on campus and he can tell me what is up with that... It is something that has to be fixed with medication..probably thyroid, or something.. So not much longer.. In the meanwhile I continue to work out every day like I have been.. Because I get to listen to Kidd Kraddick in the morning, and that motivates me.. I had forgotten what it was like to listen to a good morning show, so I was glad to find them again. I listen to them on my I heart Radio app on my phone..which is an awesome app by the way.. You can listen to radio stations all over town and its so clear! Its a fun show and it makes the workout go by fast, so that has been enjoyable..

As you know, Halloween is upon us.. My costume this year is amazing, but its only going to be funny to IT people, and people who work at Chesapeake.. I can't talk about it yet, because we are going to enter the Costume Contest skit..I could win some awesome stuff like a CNG Car, Ipads, Cameras, Vacations, TV's, etc.. Its like the most amazing Halloween party and I'm so freakin excited to be going to it!! So I'll post pics of the costume after we win! boom! The Pic of me above is when I was Marie Antoinette.. One of my fav costumes.

Pays and Saw's costumes came in and theya re so cute.. Payslee is a bee fairy and Sawyer is a bumble bee.. I'll post pics of them in a bit.. I was going to do it this weekend when we went to the farm..but they rolled in dead carcass and smelled like it, so I had to give them baths! They had a great time being dogs though!! We've got some awesome club-calves at the farm and they are by the house..so Pays & Saw went to visit them..until the calves looked at them..then they would run off scared! It always makes me laugh..

MJ & I before Grant & Jenny's Wedding

So today I heard that women who drink 4 cups a coffee a day are less likely to be depressed...This is bad for me because I could never drink 4 cups of coffee a day or I would pee NON STOP.. however, I'm a pretty jolly gal, so I feel like I'll be okay with my 2 cups..MJ got me a Keurig for my birthday, so I've been enjoying the deliciousness of Chai Tea every morning, and found that I can mix it with a Vanilla Roast, and you get a perfect cup of Coffee!

I don't think I have mentioned to you that I changed offices at work. At first I was kinda sad because I had this amazing office in Building 5..and I was moving to the Old Funeral Home building, which I heard was Haunted..Once I got over there I setup my office in the front portion of the building because there were no other empty offices. Well the first day I moved over there I could was supposed to turn off the alarm..They had told me to spell a word and thats how you would turn it off, which would have been awesome, except there were no letters on the alarm panel! So it was blaring off and I had to call security..That was day 1. Day 2 I plugged in my small coffee pot (this was Pre-Keurig) and it blew up the outlet. Like sparks and such..and wiped out all the power to one wall of the building, which everyone just loved me for! The Battery backups were beeping till noon because of my little coffee pot! That was day 2. Day 3 I had come back from the gym (around 7:00am) and no one was in the building, since I get there early and others come in a bit later..Well..I'm thinking that since no one is in there I'll just go ahead and put on my work clothes at my desk (remember I'm in my gym clothes) so I do, and just as I'm buttoning my pants I realize: THE CAMERAS CAN SEE ME CHANGING!! WHAT! Yes, that happened. All day I kept expecting to get an email saying "Dear Miss Sheperd, please refrain from taking your clothes off at your desk, thanks, Security".. Thankfully that didn't happen. At all Chesadoors there is a security camera and why I forgot that, I'll never know..but its been a funny story. And so typical of me. I also realized after that day that I needed to move myself into the former kitchen, and set that up as my office, since I could not be trusted to not change my clothes in front of the camera!

So we went to my brother Grant's wedding last weekend. I sang "When you say Nothing at All" and it was really pretty. They had purple as their colors and so at the reception they had purple cotton candy, and some awesome center pieces on the table. Here's a picture of he and Jenny. Their wedding was beautiful, and afterward they went onto the Dominican Republic for their honeymoon. My amazing purchase for the weekend? Well that was when Dad, MJ, and I went to "Uncle Sams Guns & Ammo" in Lawton and I found my amazing Pepper spray gun! What! I know! And it came in hot pink, and shoots over 25 feet! Yup. So now when I walk and rollerblade with the dogs, I'll be packing..Pepper spray that is.. So keep that in mind in case you are ever thinking about coming after me.. Boom!

I think I'm going to be pretty lame this year for Halloween..I dont know anyone who is having a party, so the only costume I'll have is the one for the giant Chesa-Halloween party..Its going to be pretty good, but I'm not sure if I wore it out in public anyone else would "get it".. so we'll have to see.. This year I was lame on my birthday, and now I'm going to be lame on Halloween? Pretty sad..I'll have to kick it up a notch next year.

The dogs are great! Payslee is going to be a bumblebee fairy for Halloween & Sawyer is going to be a Bumblebee.. I know you can already see the cuteness forming..When their costumes come in, I'll post them (of course) and post pics.. Hope you all are enjoying the awesome fall weather! I went to Bath & Body works and got the best smelling fall candle known to man, which is called "Leaves".. (clever right?)..Yeah, but it is the best ever. Go get it.. Love ya, bye..

Well what a week I have had..I'm not going to go into all the details, but its pretty much been an emotional roller-coaster. Some of these situations I look at and think 'How did I end up here?' or "How did this all happen?" But I have to remember that through trials comes grace, and I have been giving lots of Grace lately. I can honestly say that this week has proven to me that God can in fact, get you through just about anything..Its ironic too, because at the first of last week everything was all roses and cotton candy..How quickly things can change..But I do think its on the upswing, or at least I hope it is, so hopefully things will calm down a bit..

Well the other day Lauren & My mom were at my house and Lauren made the crazy mistake of parking on the side of the road by my crazy neighbors house.. She came out and glared at her for awhile..then we all get into mom's car, and she races out..sits on the bench by her door, sticks her hand down the front of her pants and starts scratching her crotch.. Lauren and Mom thought this was the funniest thing they had ever seen, however, they don't have to live by her!! She looked so scary that day that I thought she actually had a mask on!! Then she ran out by the road, shot us the bird, and watched us drive off. .How is she still in her house???? She is certifiably INSANE! I wish I had had my camera, because I totally would have taken a picture of it.. I know how you all love to ready the stories of my crazy neighbor, and on this day she DID NOT disappoint.. seems like she is crazier when Lauren was around, because the last time she was over, the woman charged me in a giant Turban and had her grand kids come after me..I think she is evil. MJ is even scared of her because he says she gives him the heebie jeebies.. lol.

I went to the farm last weekend..the weather turned and it was nice to be home..I always love to go out there and just spend time back in nature. The dog babes of course LOVE IT because they get to go around with the cow Dogs thinking they are 'working'.. or at least Sawyer does..Miss Pays is like "huh uh, Cows are giant and weird" so she leaves them alone..A herd of them were following her the other day and she got scared and ran back to the house. I think the cows are like "What is that? A bunny? A Rat? A dog?..we're not sure".. So they are always intrigued by her..

I'm going to an awesome church class right now called "Hard Questions".. Last night we talked about Why bad things happen to good people and the knowledge was pretty awesome.. So you want to know the answers? Alright..well assumption #1 is that There actually are good people in the world and they deserve good things to happen to them.. Who are we to know who's good and bad? Thats not biblical..Assumption #2 was that we should be able to judge..Are we really in that position? We can't judge because our fears and insecurities get in the way..so we don't have that ability.Thats also not biblical. God's Goal for us is for us to look and act like Jesus. He wants to shape us, but God is not interested in events, he's interested in who we become as the result. This is something that hit very close to home for me this week. "Consider it pure joy, my brothers whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may become mature and complete, not lacking in anything."~James 1:2-4.. So wait a minute..we are supposed to be thankful for trials and hardships!!?? Yup..we are.. Why? Because it shapes our character..The Lord is willing to trade a few hardships for the end result/bigger picture, which is way better than anything we could come up with.

This is a hard concept, especially for those who go through tragedy..But in the events of tragedies we really don't see the alternatives, or the blessings..because there are things worse than dying..and if We know what God knows and could see it through to the end, we would have to make some really tough choices, and I don't think we are capable of always doing that, so God is gracious for NOT showing us the whole picture all the time, and NOT telling us why.. We'd probably gripe about the answer anyway! You also have to remember that life is not always all about you.. Maybe sometimes your hardships (or mine this week) were actually there to help others..So we always have to remember that he is working things out for the enternal Good..He loves us, and God is big enough to take something really crappy and make it work out for good..So if you are going through the trenches this week.hopefully that will help.. I've had a pretty great week..Many prayers have been answered.There are some things that I've been struggling with for the past month and in this past week I have prayed about it, and felt so much better about it. Isn't it funny how God always knows just what you need? For example..I worry. I worry about stupid assinine things that are usually completely out of control..but I still do it. So Sunday I walk into Crossings, and guess what the sermon is about? "The Weeds of Worry".. My church does that to me all the time..well actually, its not my Church, its My God that works amazing things in my church..Anyway, here's the jest of it.. 3 Things that Jesus says about Worry:

1) Worry puts your focus on The wrong things..when you could be thankful for all the right things.

2)Worry Underestimates your Value..You end up forgetting how important you are to God.

3) Worry has no benefits. Worrying doesn't help, and stress & worry take time off your life.

So..now that we know all that, how are we supposed to deal with it? Well "Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes"~Matthew 6;34.

You always have to remember that God knows what you need every day, every week, every year.. God knows whats on the other side, so sit back and let God work. Watch what happens you get out of his way and let HIM work it out, because HIS plan is always going to be WAY cooler that YOUR plan. So when you pray to him, pray for God to bless his plan FOR you.. instead of just asking him to bless what YOU want. Cast your anxieties on him because he cares for you.. but don't just go to him when you need something. Talk to him like your father..like your friend, and not just someone there to bail you out. No one likes someone that only calls you when they need something. Its obnoxious.

This past week has been really rough for a friend of mine. Her favorite dog died, and its just been heartbreaking. I've been there when my Pandora died. My heart hurt for her and I thought it would never heal..I also thought I'd never love another dog more than Pandora, but I do. Miss Pays brings so much joy and happiness to my life, so I know eventually her heart will heal, but there's just no words to make her feel better right now. So I ask you all to keep her in your thoughts and prayers too. Sometimes when we struggle just knowing someone is out there thinking about us and praying for us makes us not feel so alone. Remember when you think your life really sucks, there is always someone out there who has it worse, or who's heart is breaking. We can't fix everyone, but we can be good to them in whatever little way we can..and sometimes that is just prayer.

So MJ and I are going to the Elk City Rodeo this weekend.. Pretty sure he's going to laugh at me, lol. Cowboy up! Speaking of Cowboys.. Go Pokes! Hope we start off with a great season!!!

The Help and The Change Up

Well I saw Two pretty great Movies.. completely opposites, but great. Last night Jordan & I had a double date with a new couple and we had a blast! We are trying to make new friends that we can go on double dates with since neither of us have any friends that are 'couples'.. I met this fun girl at Work, so we all decided to meet up at the Warren in Moore and watch "The Change up".. for those of you who haven't seen the previews, its about two guys (Jason Bateman & Ryan Reynolds) who end up wishing for each others lives, and it happens..One has a family, one is a single guy..Not a real original story, but the two actors made it hilarious..It was pretty crude, and lots of nudity, so not one for the kiddo's, but its FUNNY. We all loved it. Got to the Warren exactly on time, and danged if the thing wasn't FULL, so we all ended up on the 4th row from the front..but for those of you who have never been to the Warren, its really not bad to sit on the front Row even..Good Movie, Good Theatre, great popcorn!

Then today I went and watched "The Help".. I had read the book this week..started on Sunday and had read over 8000 pages of the book by Friday! Great Book! I wanted the movie to be as good, and it was! They had to take some stuff from the book out, but yeah, I would think so with an 8000 page book! But its a GREAT movie, so if you have time to see it, see it..

Tomorrow Payslee has been asked to appear in a video.. Yup, its official. She's a Celebridog! haha! Not really..well kinda..My Therapy Dog organization "New Leash on Life" is shooting a video over our therapy dogs and what we do, and who we visit..and Payslee was asked to be one of the Stars! She will be showing what she does when we go to visit the residents in the hospitals, assisted living, and nursing home facilities. The pics above are from her visits..I always like to Pose she and Sawyer before they go inside because they are all dolled up and looking cute! As you can tell they both still smile Huge when the camera is out..just like their mama! I'm so proud of them.

Everything is going well in my life..so thankful for my family, dogs, and amazing boyfriend..And man, was I thankful for the rain! We needed it so bad, and they even got some in Canute, so hopefully it will grow a little grass for the cows..its been an awful year for the farmers..Always make sure you include them in your prayers..Remember without the farmers you have no meat, and you have no veggies..speaking of.. I still have not been able to pick a dang good Watermelon this season! Jordan even brought me one from a guy on the side of the road who told him how to pick them..but nope..still not done.. blargh.. I do love me some Watermelon!

So I was one of the fools that went to Tim Mcgraw when it was 110 outside! At first it wasn't to shabby because I had amazing VIP tickets so I went up on the VIP deck and sat underneath a mister with the shade trees..But if you moved, or did anything at all, it became SO HOT. They even pushed the show back to start at 8 because it was so miserable..the heat has really been a pain this year for sure..Luke Bryan & Eden's Edge opened up and they both did a good job..That Luke Bryan has a good mouth on him with Pretty teeth! We (I took my friend Lauren) took our Pic with Tim, and I thought he was waaaay to skinny. Maybe he is losing weight for a movie role or something..because he was too thin..Needs some more pancakes or something..But a good show.

Everything at work is going really well. I haven't moved into my new position yet, still doing the Cleanup stuff for Windows 7, but I love my co-workers and my boss..Plus I get to all these classes during my lunch hour called "Lunch & Learns".. Last week I took one over the Chesapeake Stock, and another one over Insurance for your house and Car..They were very cool..As most of you know I'm obsessed with school and love it, so its like being at school all over again! So I sign up for anything and everything I'd like to learn about.

MJ is doing great..And he and I are doing great. We went to see "Planet of the Apes" today..but I cried the first 30 minutes because they are mean to the Monkeys, and I just can't stand that..but it was still a good movie, and as you know, the apes get their revenge, lol.. We watched "Captain America" last week and it was freakin awful..He hated it too..Then we've also seen "Friends with Benefits" which was hilarious..and Justin Timberlake was really good..and "Crazy, Stupid, Love" with Steve Carrell, and it was a really good Romantic Comedy.. Jordan went to see "Cowboys & Aliens" and said they should have left it a Western without the Aliens, lol.. We've seen a ton of movies lately, but when its 110 outside there is pretty much nothing else to do!!

I'm loving my Fiona, FJ..Its so nice to be up high! She's a pretty color, and I have enjoyed driving her so far. I put a "I love my shih'tzu" on the back of it, so if you see me driving, you'll know its me!

My teeth need to kick it up a notch..

So Dr. Jim Cox should be given a medal for putting up with my teeth..seriously..About 2 weeks ago I got a temporary crown put on and made an appointment for August to get the permanent Gold crown put on..Well wouldn't you know, as I was eating a soft hamburger, I manage to crunch into my temp crown and crack it in half..and it comes off.. Well for those of you who have never had a crown, this is the process: They grind your bad tooth down to a stub so that a new, golden crown will fit on top of it and act as your tooth..however, you still have your roots and nerves in your tooth..So you can imagine my discontent when we are getting ready to walk into the movie theatre and my wussy tooth is off! Um, I need popcorn! You all know I don't go to the movie without popcorn!

So I decide How hard could it be to just drink/eat on ONE side of my mouth? Um very. First of all if any of the cold liquid flows onto my exposed tooth its like death. The tooth is insanely sensitive so this leads me to drinking things with my head tilted..lol..What a site..Chewing was not that bad..Small bites, take it slow..it was okay. So I decided I could at least wait until Monday..so today I call and realize my Magical Dr. Cox is away on vacation in Chicago, but he emails me (because he's awesome) and tells me to call a guy who is filling in for him..so I do, and they agree to see me.. In my mind I'm thinking I'm going to tell him that I'll just put Wax on top of the crown until Dr. Cox gets back...Dr. Tommy Mayhue has a different idea, lol.. He informs me that if I do that I run the risk of getting a bad infection, the crown going on wrong, the crazy sensitivity.. the list goes on and on..so He convinces me to get the new Temp crown made, and I do..he & His staff listen to me cry about it for a bit, and do an amazing job..So seriously, thank you so much to Terri and everyone at Dr. Mayhue's office in Blanchard for saving me.. And for anyone who thinks I just do those commericals for fun, Dr. Cox emailed me ON HIS VACATION to help..Now Thats a good dentist! So if you don't believe me by now, I can't help ya..lol..

It was also awesome that Terri and Megan used to listen to me on the air, so we got to relive a few radio memories. Terri is a superfan, and I love those the most! lol.. She was so sweet to say that she missed me..and I was quick to let her know that I miss radio everyday..but I'm loving Fiona FJ, and loving my new job..My life is on the up and up, (as if I wasn't blessed enough before) and I'm so thankful for all the good folks that I come into contact with each day.

Well I finally got to get my FJ Cruiser! I had my heart set on Yellow, but everyone kept telling me the resale was horrible, and that everyone hated them..I of course disagreed..But I am also one of the few people that got a bright orange Truck..so there ya go..So anyway, I got a FJ Cruiser in light blue..I named her Fiona FJ..She sets up so much higher than my car..but man, My car was a good one! I had a Pontiac GJ and she had 3 bald tires and 112,000 miles! She still drove like a charm though! I will miss her, but I do love Fiona..The reason I wanted the FJ was because you can seriously wash it out with a hose..For those of you who know me, you know this is a very important asset..With hauling the dogs around I need to be able to wash something down! lol..So I'm very excited..I'm also excited to have XM radio..In the past I would have felt bad for 'cheating' on my profession..however since my profession has cheated on me in the past year, I'll be partaking in XM Radio!

So I had my first Orientation day at Chesapeake and it was awesome! They went over all the Chesaperks with us, and there are some great ones! I'm so happy to be working for a good company! I also got to meet some new friends and now I get to have some new lunch buddies!

Moms dog store (http://www.woofsgonewild.com/) is doing great! We've been thrilled with the sales and progress of the store, and its still so much fun ordering stuff for dogs! Speakin of.. Being that its been 100+ degrees lately, its been really hard to exercise the dogs babes..so I've been getting up at 5:30 and rollerblading the dogs..I thought they would be excited..but Sawyer has been dragging..lol. I guess he likes to get up early and PLAY..but not get up early and EXERCISE.. I can't say that I blame him. Exercise Sucks. But its been good for me too..because we either blade, or walk a mile..so thats gotta be good right? Plus I'm going to start going to the Chesafitness center next week, and its got racketball, basketball, and dance dance revolution..so I'm in!

Somehow for the past 2 weeks I have ended watching "Toddlers and Tiara's"..Why? I have no idea..yet I'm compelled to watch..That hair! That makeup! on a 3 year old! for some reason its awful, yet hilariously awesome to me..Jordan has been watching it too and always looks at me when the little girl is throwing a fit and says "Thats how our kid will be because of you!".. lol.. We'll see..

It Finally happened!

Well On Tuesday I got the word that I'm a real, live, Chesaperson! I accepted the position as a Client Technology Associate! I'm very excited to be working for an amazing company, and a company that offers so many perks to their employees! So I go to Orientation tomorrow and have my official "start" day..Very excited, and very happy that so many people sent me so many kind words, thoughts, prayers, and tried to help..

Its been a long year out of radio..and a hard one at that. I've struggled with feeling like I made wrong career choices, wrong people choices, wrong money choices, and it really just left me feeling like a loser, and a failure. I mean when you go to college, get a degree, get a Masters degree, you think that you are doing all the 'right' things..You go to work, you work hard, you get along with everyone, you do what you are asked..and you think you are doing all the 'right' things..Yet still some things just don't work out. And after you get out of the 'moment' you realize that it was supposed to happen that way..but it still usually causes you some hurt, and heartbreak.

Its been a blessing to find some of my listeners on facebook and even some fans I have at Chesapeake..They will say "I sure miss listening hearing you on the radio" and I always say "Not nearly as much as I miss being on the radio!"..And even though I'm not on the radio now, I do think that maybe later, in some capacity, I will be back on the radio..maybe a Chesaradio station, or an internet station..or something.. I have too many weird things, people, and events in my life to NOT have an avenue to share that with people..So I think it will happen again someday..But right now I'm just excited to have a good, stable job working for a really awesome guy with a really awesome team..It will be amazing to work for someone who not only appreciates my efforts and talents, but actually rewards them, and I look forward to the challenge!

Keepin it in Perspective

Today Jordan & I went and met with one of our favorite pastors at Crossings, and we just had a GREAT talk. I tell you being around people who are so spiritual and so trusting with God is just inspiring to me. Jordan has just started going to church with me the past few months and I wanted him to feel comfortable talking to the pastor, and I wanted to as well..Crossings is a HUGE Church so you have to be willing to make it small enough to fit your needs and thats what we have been doing..First we joined a Sunday school class which we just love. Its so informative and taught in a way that lets you understand the scripture..Its not Preaching, its teaching and we love it..Our next step is going to be finding other folks our age that share our beliefs and values. We want to have a church family, so we're on a mission! lol.

One of the most inspiring and insightful things we talked about was how important it is to just love people. I am not the most compassionate person (unless you are a dog or an elderly person, then I'm a sap) so I have a hard time 'feeling' what other people feel..Lately I've found myself really irritated with people..I have a hard time relating to them, understanding their story, understanding why they act the way they do, etc..But at the end of the day, its not my job to understand them..its my job as a Christian to show them grace and pray for them. I may not be able to love them (right now) beacuse they irritate the pee out of me..but I can always continue to pray for them..Because if you were going through something, don't you think it would make you feel better if you knew 30 extra people were praying for you? I know it would me..so from now on instead of telling someone OFF..I'm going to turn some praying for them ON..This will be very hard for me, so you all pray for me too!

We also talked about God's plan..I am an idiot when it comes to this. When I was on the air I woke up every day and Thanked God because I was going to a job I loved..that fulfilled me..that inspired me..that made me laugh..I thought I was doing EXACTLY what I was supposed to be doing and I was doing it well..I was wrong. I was living "KC's Plan"..not "God's plan for KC'.. While talking to the pastor he said, "God already knew you were really good at that..now its time he teaches you to be good at something else".. And I'm thinking, "What? Why would God want me to be good at Computers?"..But its because I can't see the big picture, and I highly doubt its about Computers..Its about shaping my character..Shaving a little off the prideful side..adding a little to the service side..Scraping off a little of the attitude side..Adding a little extra to the Grace side..See the difference? If you went to work everyday and acted like God was your boss wouldn't you do a better job? Would you want to impress him and make him proud? YES. Completely new perspective for me..And I'm excited, and I'm inspired, and I love it!

How foolish sometimes we are to think we have all the answers..Or to think God is not big enough to 'fix' things for us..I've got so much to learn, but I'm so thankful to have Jordan going through the journey with me, and to have a church that fulfills my spirit and my mind..I've also joined the "In Touch" ministry which will allow me to visit more elderly people..Very excited about that too!

Well after much turmoil, and inner struggle, I have finished the website! Woofs Gone Wild is now up and active! Its not very fancy, and certainly not what I want it to end up being, but the good thing is that for those who can't make the trip to Elk City, and you want to shop at Mom's store..Now you can. So Check it out when you have time..It was a pain in the butt to create, so at least go see it so I can feel better..lol. The treats at the top are some new treats we got in, and Yes, Payslee & Sawyer have their own! Payslee has chicken treats, and Saw is steak. The other two dogs are mom's, Junior and Bear, and they have Cheeseburger & Steak Jerky..So now you can actually get treats with Payslee's face on them! I know..Ridiculous...lol..but cute!

Speaking of Elk City, we went back there this weekend. FETCH, a dog rescue in Elk City was having a fund-raiser where you could have your dogs pictures taken.. Now, in my mind, this sounded like a great idea..I mean you've all seen the pictures of Payslee.. smiling, and posing..One would think this would be an easy task right? And Sawyer with his sweet grin and happy face.. Well we get there and they just act awful! Just like a kid right! They were racing all around, and when I tried to pose them, Payslee's face looked like "I wish I was anywhere but here".. The only thing that made me feel any better is the fact that mom's dogs, (Bear & Junior) also acted terrible! lol.. I think we did end up getting some pretty good shots, but we had to wait for them to settle down a little bit.. When we get them back I'll post them.

We had a good weekend at the farm. We took MJ to Quartz Mountain for the first time..He had never been so we had supper at the Lodge. Delicious Steak with Horseradish sauce and grilled squash. It was really good and the scenery was awesome. The Lake is waaay down though, which makes me sad..It did make me feel better that we got some rain at the farm that night. Then last night Steve and MJ fired up the smoker and smoked Ribs while Mom and I made Baked beans and fried taters..Weight watcher friendly? NO..Delicious? YUP! And hey, you gotta splurge when you are at the farm right!
I took a pic of Miss Payslee at her "Doggie Drinker".. now for those of you who have not seen one of these you are going to say "KC, are ya kiddin"...but I actually found out about them from some of my Shih-tzu Friends, and they are pretty incredible. If you have a dog that has a beard, or face hair, then you know when they dip their face into the bowl to get a drink that it gets all over their face, and all over your floor..Well if you have the Doggie Drinker, then you have no worries! It basically like a giant hampster bottle for little Dogs. They come in 3 sizes, Regular, Tiny (For the small fry's, like Yorkies, Weenies who have tiny legs, chihuahua's, etc) and the Corner version which fits into corners..Payslee & Sawyer love theirs. If you have a bowl of water out, or their Doggie Drinker, they go for the drinker every time. The water is fresher, so I think thats why they like it. Its available at the store..its washable too. The way you get your babe to drink from it is by putting peanut butter on the spout..thats usually all it takes to get them hooked! They just love it! I'll try to get a video of it this week..

Not much going on for me this week...We haven't been going to Taco Tuesday much this week, but we're going to try to go back this week. We (Jordan & I) are going to talk with Terry this week..He's our Sunday school teacher, and one of our favorite guys..We've got some stuff we've been thinking about lately, so I'll keep you posted on his answers..Have a great week!

Well we had a Great Grand Opening at Woofs Gone Wild..We saw a ton of folks, and even more dogs! I think we had a pretty good day..I can't really tell what we sold, and what we didn't..but we had a lot of fun! Now I'm in the process of sitting up the website and I had forgotten what a huge pain in the butt it is!! So many little details and pics and descriptions..blah blah blah.. So I'll be working on that..its about to be done though, and I hope that folks who can't visit the store will be able to visit us online to buy delicious goods for their babes.

Speaking of Babes..Payslee & I are going to be taking an Advanced Therapy dog class starting next week. I'm pretty excited about it because we both love taking classes, and she is so smart! We will be learning some new tricks, and some more advanced therapy stuff..It should be fun..Notice I didn't say anything about Sawyer, lol.. I love that boy because he is so sweet..but he is a free spirit and will not be tamed! He likes doing what he wants to do..So I just let him. He's such a pretty sweet guy! Payslee did a great job selling stuff for us at the Grand Opening..She had on her Pink/Brown Zebra dress and it was adorable..She did a great job greeting everyone and entertaining them for awhile. I think we will be selling treats pretty soon that Have Payslee's pic on them, and also Sawyer and Mom's dogs, Junior & Bear..they will be cute..

In the meanwhile I've been extremely busy at work..I haven't been doing much of anything else other than work, or dog-store stuff..Not too glamorous. I still fit in Therapy visits once a week..but all work and no play makes KC a dull gal.. booo.

Woofs Gone Wild Grand Opening

The dog jog on Memorial day was Awesome! We had a ton of runners, and even More dogs! We all had a blast! Well I'm headed West today to go Help Mom get the store ready. We are going to open up tomrorow morning at 10am inside the Attic Door in Elk City. I'm so excited for her...and for me of course! lol.. I've had the best time ordering stuff that I think people will want for their dog babes. I may be an idiot about a lot of things..but dog's is not one of them! Each day I look at my dogs, and they are completely fulfilled. I think in my mind that is what a happy parent would feel like when they see their kiddos.. My dogs are happy, they are at their ideal body size, they are well fed, and they live a life most dogs would dream about..and it shows on their faces every single day.. That makes me happy, and makes me proud.

People think I'm too 'hard-core' about dogs..One of my friends is always antagonizing me because I think he is a horrible dog owner. Well I'm sorry..but he is! He hates messes..he hates hair..and he hates things that mess up his yard..Hmm... So how would a dog be able to fit into that life? It wouldnt.. and if it did (Like the first dog he got and later took to the animal shelter) it would end up having an unhappy life. I'm very tender about 2 things. 1) Animals, and 2) the elderly. I think if you are going to get a dog, you better be willing to put in the time to be a good dog parent.. Its just like a kid..You will have them for about 16 years, and if you do not intend on being good to them, feeding them the proper things, exercising them, or providing for them, then NO. You don't need to have a dog. Would you throw your kid in the backyard and tell him to entertain himself for weeks at a time? No. Would you feed your kid crappy food that made them sick all the time? No. Would you encourage your kid to get pregnant, or impregnante everything that walks? No. Same with dogs..Exercise them, train them, feed them right, and spay/neuter them. For me its pretty simple, but apparently I'm a "Crazy Dog Owner".. But I believe if you are going to do something, Do it right.. oh well..so be it, and add it to the list of weirdnesses that I have!!

We've been getting some cool stuff in all week, and I'm super excited to see what is our best seller..I think we've really got some cute stuff! Plus we'll be featuring something new that my dogs LOVE called "The Doggie Drinker".. Its basically a giant water bottle for dogs..but if you have a dog that has a beard, like a Shih-tzu, yorkie, Pom, etc..You know that when they put their face in the water-bowl it makes their face all wet and yucky, and drips all over your floor..Well this little gem fixes all that! Payslee and Sawyer love theirs, and it really does help out..They would rather drink out of their doggie drinker than a bowl of water..It keeps the water cleaner, and prevents the wet beard. We'll be selling these in the store as well.

We also got some very cute fabric collars, and they come with this giant flower that slides on..So cute for bigger dogs, and small dogs! And of course, we had to have some "Bling" Collars..so we'll have plenty of those as well. Miss Payslee hasn't decided which dress she will be wearing for the Grand Opening, but I know she will be a doll! Can't wait to see the plan come together!

We had a great time at the farm..We had the best Ribs EVER! They were so good! The Volleyball game got a little obnoxious, but I suppose thats to be expected with the crowd I hang out with.. Bill & Leslie got to come out and it was good to hang out with Bill for awhile..We definately miss laughing with each other every day so it was nice to have that back..He was on my volleyball team, and for a guy with a jacked up body, he did pretty well! lol.. We had fun.. The dog babes had a blast..but as you can tell, Sawyer played his little heart out, and was pretty sleepy by the time we got back home. He just LOVES being a farm dog!

All weekend long I helped Mom get ready to open the dog store..Spent hours doing inventory, pricing things, and making sure she had everything she needs..If you want to see the store, look over to the right..I put a "Like" button that shows the facebook account for "Woofs Gone Wild".. We don't have a regular site, other than Facebook just yet..But we'll be posting stuff under Twitter too, and here..Here's just a few things that we are going to have.. I'm so excited!

We have the cutest harnesses, treats, beds, cuddle cups, collars, toys, and some amazing things! It will be great. The Grand Opening is June 4th in Elk City, inside the Attic Door on Main Street, so if you have time, come on by..We'll be doing some specials, and some give-aways.. It will be great!

So I just had to pause from writing this blog to go to the cellar..Its a severe Weather day today in Oklahoma and its just wild..We are now out of the cellar, and everyone is okay, but I believe Piedmont got Hit, and now Noble is in its path..Scary stuff..Always is when its storm season in Oklahoma..Hope everyone is okay.

Well I was so glad John Rich won celebrity apprentice..I got to hang out with that guy last year and he's just awesome..he's fun, smart, and talented, and I always want the country star to win! Plus St. Jude is a great charity, so I'm very happy for him..He's a good guy. I do kinda hope that he and Big Kenny get back together..they were better as Big & Rich, than as solo Artists..Kinda like Brooks & Dunn..Have you all heard his new song? Bleed Red? Yeah, its not that great..He needs to go back to Kix, and be Brooks & Dunn again..

Still no word on my new job..Hopefully it will be something soon. I'd really like to get my 'life plan' back on track..being a planner, I like having a plan, and when the whole radio thing fell apart, that pretty much RUINED my plan. I honestly thought I was meant to be on the radio my whole life..I loved it, I was good at it, and I worked hard at it..so this whole thing has been bizarre to me..I mean, how could I have got it so wrong?? Maybe I didn't.. Maybe I just am not seeing 'the big picture' right now..So every day I pray for God to let me know what I'm supposed to be doing..because I obviously don't know!!! lol..

Hey, the Dog Jog is coming up on Memorial day..We are going to be having a jog, and a contest for 'best trick' 'best dressed' and much more.. Well I'm having a big farm party this weekend..Should be funtimes. Sitting around with my friends and family, having beverages, cooking out, eating smores, and playing Volleyball.. Should be a nice relaxing time. Thats the cool thing about the farm.. you don't HAVE to be doing something for it to be fun..You can just hang out, enjoy nature, and chill out.. so I'm excited to be doing that.

Well we haven't really looked at houses much anymore..No point in doing so really until I get a permanent job somewhere, because I can't really plan how much we can afford finacially until I'm not a contractor anymore...So I guess we'll just keep waiting on that. I have been busy with "Woofs Gone Wild" though.. Keeping track of everything that we have and everything we need..We are getting closer and closer to the grand opening on June 4th.. I'm excited!

We just got back from taking the babes to run in their field..There are some Kildee birds there that have built a nest, and they really hate it when Payslee & Sawyer get to close, so they swoop down and pretend their wing is hurt..Sawyer falls for it every time and goes over to see about them, then they fly off, lol.. Payslee just tries to chase them away..they are very funny to me.

Well I Have been having an amazing time for the past few weeks..For awhile Mom & I have takled about opening a dog store, and now it seems that time has come! Its actually just mom that is opening it in Elk City, and its not really a store, more like a Booth in the Attic door, but its a start! I've been having a blast helping her pick what to feature and buy, and of course Payslee & Sawyer have given their imput too.. In fact Payslee just insisted that she sell some dresses from her favorite seamstress, doggiedudsbydeb, so now all the other Celebridogs will be able to steal Payslee's fashions! lol.. Deb's latest creation is featured above..and its turned Miss Pays into a "Sweet" cupcake! So cute! And yes, she smiles..all the time..but why wouldn't she? She pretty much has the best life ever.. So we are planning on having the Grand Opening of "Woofs Gone Wild" on June 4, in Elk City, Oklahoma..Hope to see you all there! We will feature toys, all natural dog treats, fashions, chews, and all kinds of adorable doggie stuff..so come out and visit if you are in Western Oklahoma!

For Mothers Day I had the perfect Idea for mom, but it took awhile to figure out. While shopping at TLC she saw a little green tree that she really wanted, but when she asked about it, they were out of it..so I decided to track it down and get her one..So I had to call TLC, like an idiot, ask them to go out to one of their flowerbeds and try to find a green tree..Well after a few guesses, we found the "Little Green Smoke Tree" so I got her one for Mothers day..She was excited, and so was I.. I was also excited to find out that Jordan had got me a doggie-mom card and signed Payslee, Sawyer, and Rally's name to it..then he gave me some OSU jewels..How freakin cute is that!

We went to see "Fast 5" two weeks ago..and it was awesome..Lots of delish eye candy with Paul Walker, Vin Diesel, and The Rock.. plus cool cars, and lots of action..then Friday we went to see "Thor"..once again good eye candy with the Thor guy, and Anthony Hopkins was good as his dad.. It was a good movie too.. This weekend my parents are coming up and we are going to go see "Priest".. it looks good and scary..

I was so glad Star Jones got booted off Celebrity apprentice..I can't stand her..Never have been able to, and she irritates me. I thought it was Crap that Nene pussed out, because if she had stuck around she would have seen Star go home! Dumb..Also still cheering for Kirstie Alley & Ralph Macchio on Dancing with the Stars. .And I LOVE "The Voice".. Blake Shelton cracks me up, and I think the premise of the show is really good. Also been enjoying watching and cheering for the Thunder..I hope they win!

Things are looking positive on the job front..so I'm excited about that. I cannot complain. I have a blessed life, awesome dogs, awesome family, and an awesome guy in my life! I've decided to sign up once again to volunteer for hospice, so Payslee & I will do that. We are also going to pick up a new visit on Tuesdays at Bradford Village..And don't forget, coming up Memorial day is the Dog Jog.. Its something my Therapy Dog Organization puts on every year.. You get to walk/jog with your dogs for a great cause, and I'll be emceeing the "Best Trick" contest with some amazing prizes..so if your dog knows a good trick, come on out! Well let me start off by saying..it was a pretty great week..Mom came up on Saturday and we went to Easter service at Crossings..Man! It was so awesome! The music there is so good with a live orchestra that it immediately brings me to tears when they start in..I just love it. The sermon was really good too, and I'll talk about it on my other blog GOD & DOG when I get time to write it. But it was just awesome.. Before Church mom and I had time to pick up a few flowers..Mom loves planting, and is getting the pool area ready, and I had to plant some pots..Then we happened upon the buy one get one 1/2 off sale at Metro Shoe Warehouse! Yes..New Dansko's for both of us!! So cute!

Today I took Payslee & Sawyer on one of my favorite therapy visits. I swear people, if you are feeling sorry for yourself, or in a rut, get out an volunteer..These people are so inspiring! I had sat down with a few ladies that Pays had made friends with and they wanted to talk with me about American Idol..so we got to talking about music, and country singers, and the fact that I used to be on the radio..they asked me if I was still doing it anymore, and I said No, and if I was sad about it, and I said yes..and this sweet lady put her hand on my arms and said "You know what though, God always works it out for the best, and something better will come along for you".. So awesome! And yes, I do believe that..

I'm also not going to lie and tell you I don't feel kinda good about the fact that their ratings came out this week and they got beat..lol.. I know, I know, thats not very nice of me, but when I left there all of the management told my good listeners that asked "KC & Bill got fired because of their low ratings"..well when we left we had a 4.6, KKNG now has a 1.5, and Jake FM has a 3.9..both of which are lower than 4.6. So yes, something better is coming along, and yes, I'm glad to be around such amazing, inspiring people who brighten my day while my shih-tzu brightens theirs! Payslee also enjoyed a ride from a little lady who pushed her around for a bit..and hung out with her giant great dane friend, Achilles.

This is going to be a good weekend. MJ was gone last weekend visiting his grandma, so tomorrow we are going on a triple date with friends to go watch "FAST FIVE" which is basically "The fast and the furious part 5" but what it means to me is Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, & Vin Diesel are in the same movie, and I'm not mad about that..they are both magically delicious!! Who cares if the movie is good or not right! Oh, and speaking of movies..DO NOT go watch "Water for Elephants".. I thought it was going to be a love story, and it was..sort-of..but they were really mean to an Elephant named Rosie, and it made me cry..I can't watch people be mean to animals..so if you can't either, SKIP that movie..

I'm still watching "Celebrity Apprentice"..I can't wait for NeNe to go off on Star Jones next week..I can't stand Star.. and I also watched "The Voice" This week.. Loved Blake Shelton on it, and so far, I think the show is WAY better than American Idol this year..I'm bored with Idol.. Have a great weekend!!

Payslee working the Run way..

Well it was an interesting week. I needed to record some spots and had to go back to Tyler media to do it..Not my first choice, but it actually went better than I thought it would. I didn't have to see any of the people who kicked me out, so that was a blessing. It mainly just brought up some sad feelings of me remembering happy times I had there and sad because I wasn't on the radio anymore. I have to keep reminding myself..bigger and better things..bigger and better things..But its a conscious effort everyday that I really have to keep doing, or how quickly I call fall right back into the sadness that I had right after I lost my job.

One really fun thing that I did this week was with Payslee. Susan from Paws around Town asked Payslee to model a dress for a Fashion show in North Park Mall. Of course we both agreed, and it was so cute! At first she was scared, but then she started working the runway! She wore a very cute "Paisley" Easter dress, and we had a great time. She's such a good girl. It was the only nice day we had over the weekend..with the stupid Wind blowing 50 mph thats pretty much a ruiner for doing anything outside.

This weekend my mom is coming up to go to Easter Service with me at Crossings Church. I'm actually going to the Saturday service because there are so many people that go on Easter Sunday and we are having 9 services at Crossings, one being Saturday evening at 6:00. I'm excited because the choir is always so amazing there and thats what made me fall in love with the church to begin with, so I just know it will be great.

Jordan & I also went to look at our 'dream house' over the weekend. We've basically found the neighborhood we want to live in, but we are stuck between two builders..We love them both, and their houses! One is Joe Roberts Construction, and the other is Dodson Homes..both houses are amazing and I'll love either one..but Jordan is partial to one that has a "man Cave" upstairs..lol.. I'm not sure we really need that, but he's already talking about theatre seating, and video gaming..lol..typical man. We have plenty of time to figure out which one we want. Mom is going to look at them with me this weekend and give her opinion..they are all just awesome, so I'm excited for her to see them.. Bigger and better things! Sometimes you just have to remember to "Let go, and Let God"..

When one door closes..

Well Hi..First off, I want to say thank you to the people that read this blog. Last night I performed at the Rodeo Opry in Cowtown and I heard from so many people about how they read my blog, and thats how they knew I was on the show. That made me so happy, because sometimes when I'm writing these things, I really have no idea whether anyone reads them or not. I heard from several people who used to listen to me on the air and truly appreciate them saying how much they missed me, and appreciated even more them saying I was truly good at my job. My response is always the same, and I think it will always be the same: "You don't miss me as much as I miss being on the air." Even though I have gone on to do something else, I will always miss being on the radio.

The Opry was a great time. I sang "Sweet Dreams" "If you've got Leavin on your mind' and "Your Cheatin' Heart"..all Patsy Cline tunes, and the crowd (and my mama of course) seemed to enjoy it. Jordan came along, and even though he hatest country music, he had a good time. I liked seeing his sweet face in the audience too.. I think that mom bought a CD of the show, so if she did, I'll try to upload some audio from it. There were a lot of great performers on the show last night, including one of my former students from my Radio class that I taught at Southwestern, who did a GREAT job, Steven Jeffrey..So good to see him, and so glad to see that he chose a profession OTHER than radio! See..that class does work! lol. Owen Pickard also hosted and did a great job..Thank you to everyone who came out, it was a really good time!

I think the hardest thing to come to terms with is that people (and myself) thought I was actually really good at my job. I thought that too, and I still think that..But how many other people who are good at their jobs and go there every single day doing a good job, still get let go from their position? A LOT. I've talked to so many people this past year that have lost their jobs, by no fault of their own. Either the company was down-sizing, the company closed, or the company just couldn't afford to pay them anymore. Its a sad time for our country right now, because if you were brought up the way I was, people like Us don't lose their jobs. People like Us always do their best, work hard, do more than their fair share, act like team players and do what needs to be done for the good of the company. Yet a lot of people like "US" are out of work. I think I was a good radio talent, but thats not the only thing I did for the company. I knew that there would always be a need for other things, like websites, social media networks, photoshopping, video editing, etc..so I taught MYSELF how to do all that so I would be that more valuable to the company I worked for..But in the end that didnt' help me keep my job.

So I guess what I'm saying to you, is if you are good at your job, but you still lost it..don't give up. This past year has been such a learning time for me..Because of all the things I taught myself to do, I've realized now that I need to teach myself more. Chesapeake is an amazing place to learn new things. If the saying goes "Once you stop learning your brain will die" then let me tell you, My brain is pretty much busting at the seams! I learn something new everyday, and it makes me happy to know that there are OTHER things in life that I can do well..

Will I always want to be on the radio? Yes. I think its like other jobs in the entertainment field..Singers, Musicians, Comedians, etc..We all love the spotlight, and we love attention, so when that is taken away from its, its very hard to just fall into a regular job..But there are so many other blessings that have come out of NOT being on the radio..I get to spend more time with my friends and family, Jordan & I have grown stronger in our relationship, I have more opportunities to meet new friends and people, etc.. You just have to be willing to find the silver lining. There's no point in dwelling on the negative..And while I've forgiven those people who have wronged me, I certainly have not forgotten, and have realized that they were never really my friends to begin with, and certainly not the kind of people I should spend my whole life around..so what a blessing to find that out and be able to move on to bigger and better people!

So if you have had a similar situation this year..whether it be through your job, or maybe a relationship..try to find the positive. Did you really want to be around those toxic people in your life? No..Did you really want to be taken advantage of, and not appreciated? No. Remember that you get what you ask for, and 6 months before I got let go at KKNG I had been praying "Lord, if this is not what I'm supposed to be doing, send me in another direction"..then when it happened I was like "Really Lord? REALLY!!"..but thats the way it works. We don't always see what the best thing for us is when we are in the moment..but he does. He's got a bigger plan and I'm sure its a much better plan..so my job now is to be patient and let it all play out to his will..Ask and ye shall recieve!!

Rodeo Opry is Coming up.. Reality BS

I'm planning on doing a Patsy Cline Medley, but I haven't talked to the Opry folks yet, so I'm hoping that is okay!! If So I'm going to do 1) Leaving On Your Mind, 2)She's got You 3) Sweet Dreams 4) Your Cheatin Heart.. Now won't that just be delicious! Mom is coming up so it should be fun..Jordan is going too, although I'm pretty sure he will be suffering through the whole event..How is it that I always end up with people who despise country music? I don't know.. But he doesn't like any of it, and doesn't even know who Patsy Cline is!! haha! So yes, if you are wondering what Jordan looks like..just look for the guy suffering in the front row!

We went to see "Lincoln Lawyer" this weekend..I was so excited to see my Delicious Trace Adkins in his movie role! He did a great job too..as he played a tough biker, which really isn't too far of a stretch for him.. Matthew Mconaughhey was not hard to look at either..Nor was Josh Lucas or Ryan Phillipee..but besides all the eye candy, it was actually a really good movie.. I'd like to see "Limitless" with Matthew as well..Thats probably on tap for next weekend.. Friday night we rented Russel Crowe's movie "The Next 3 Days".. it was okay, but a bit far-fetched, and went on forever.. But it was okay for a rental..

Last night watched "Celebrity Apprentice".. It was good. I wasn't that sad that Nikki Taylor went home..She's sweet and all, but wasn't a big time player to me. I was excited that the men won the challenge, and kinda hoping that John Rich would take out Jose Canseco because he was making fun of people who listen to Country music.. John Rich defended us, and told him to shut it.. There was a time when I liked Jose, but that time has now come and gone. He seems like an ass, and acts like an ass.. I've always liked John Rich, and he's fun to watch.. So is Crazy Gary Busey, although lately Charlie Sheen is making Gary Busey look sain!!

Also on Idol I was cheering for Lauren, but she keeps picking sucky songs and now I'm forgetting her.. Pia is good, but a little too Carrie Underwoodish for me..I mean we already have Carrie, so do we need Pia? Not sure.. Its like the Scottie Guy..I like him, but I like Josh Turner better, so so far I don't really need either of those two..I'm cheering for Casey.. 1) because his name is Casey, and 2) he seems a bit insane, which I like.. So there ya go..

So as most of you know I've been working part time at Paws around Town, the awesome little dog store in NorthPark Mall..However, I"m about to start taking a therapy dog class with Payslee on Saturdays and I won't be able to work there on Saturday's anymore.. So do you know of anyone, or maybe yourself that would like to pick up a little extra cash by working there on Saturdays? There are two pregnant girls there working now, and they are about to pop, so they are going to need some help! lol.. If you have never been to it, go to their website www.pawsaroundtown.com. Celebrity Apprentice is Fantastic

So I have been waiting awhile for the debut of Celebrity Apprentice, hoping it did not disappoint me.. Well alas, It did not. Who doesn't love Crazy Gary Busey as the "Pepperoni Prophet"?? Ridiculous.. I also enjoyed Jose' Canseco wanting to kick the crap out of Richard Hatch. I remember Richard Hatch from watching the VERY first Survivor..back when Survivor was actually still entertaining.. He was a snake then, and he's a snake now..but does that make for good tv? YES..Plus he's been in prison for 4 years, so now he's probably really hateful and crazy..I cannot stand Star Jones.. I despise her so much that a few years ago I actually took the time to write a letter to ABC stating why I wish they would take her off the air.. They did..But I don't think it was because of my letter.. dang. That is only one of two letters that I have written in protest of someone..Guess who the other one was? Omarosa from the first Celebrity Apprentice.. I didn't like her either.. But this season looks really good.. Dionne Warwick and Latoya Jackson can compare Psychic Friends, Nene and Star Jones can fight it out..John Rich and Lil' Jon have already become best friends, and Nikki Taylor appear to cook a mean Pizza.. I think its going to be quite entertaining.. I'm also watching Jet & Cord McCoy again on the Amazing Race..I went to college with Jet. We had an English Sci-Fi class together and I remember he would show up to class with his eyes black, or his arm in a sling from being thrown off a bull..He is a funny, nice guy, so I hope they win it this time around. Then there's Idol.. I was cheering for that Clint guy, but he got the boot. So Now I've directed my attention to the girls, and I'm cheering for that Lauren girl..I think she's cute and fun times. Everyone automatically thinks I'll cheer for the Country guy..Scotty. But I'm not..why? Because he's not original.. He sings just like Josh Turner, so until he shows me something a little more magical, I'm going to cheer for someone else.. Jordan & I played tennis last week..it was fun times..Why? Because I won.. As most of you know I'm insane about being competitive..We are thinking we'll try to play doubles soon, so for right now we are both working on not serving puffishly..Doesn't look like the Weather is going to cooperate this week, but we'll see.. The Dogs are good..Payslee got a new easter Dress from doggiedudsbydeb..Its the picture up above, and yes, she's smiling again..People seem shocked that my dogs smile all the time, but geez..Have you seen my dogs? They live the lives of Kings! You'd be smiling too!

The Wind..Blows..

What can I say..it does. I get out of the car this morning and it whips so hard that I dang near lose my balance and fall down as the car door slams up against me.. The wind is just annoying to me.. In fact, all of Oklahoma weather is annoying to me.. First its snowing..then its sunny and 70, then its snowing again..then its raining, and then freezing, and then 80.. I wish it would make up its mind!

I had a productive weekend this weekend..I managed to get a laddar and change all the lights in my house! Even the ones in the 30 foot ceilings!

Well I found out that I'm going to be singing at the Rodeo Opry on March 28th. I'm going to do a Patsy Cline Medly, so if you would like to join me you can go to www.ohfo.org. From what I understand you can already buy tickets to the 28th show, so its should be a good time. I know my mama is excited to hear me sing again!

I've cut back my hours at Paws around Town.. AS much as I love working there, I also LOVE my weekends. Its really the only time I have to get things done around the house, and also spend time with the dog babes. Since its an 8 hour day at the store on Saturdays, I can't take Miss Payslee, and I missed hanging out with them on the weekends.

The Job at Chesapeake is going well, and I'm hoping to be a permanent employee there soon. In the meanwhile I'm still helping people upgrade to Windows 7 on their computers, so if you have any questions about that, feel free to ask me, lol. .Saturday night Jordan & I went with a group of friends to the Loony Bin..The comedian was hilarious.. We had a great time except for all the smoking. I can't stand my hair smelling like smoke, so I had to wash it the second I got home. Then yesterday we went around and looked at houses. We both like the same types of houses, so it shouldn't be too hard to choose one.. We just have to wait to see what is going to happen with my job situation before we actually get serious about buying one. Thats a big responsibility..

I watched the Oscars yesterday but the whole time I kept finding myself saying "Who cares".. I had watched "Black Swan" and it was good, and "The Social Network" and "Inception" .but I didn't see "The Kings Speech" or any of the others.. Plus it seems like its just a big moment of butt-kissing the actors and actresses of the films..Not that exciting to me.. However, I am enjoying American Idol this season..A Lot. .I think Steven Tyler makes it entertaining, and they really seem to have some amazing talent this year..

We went on two visits last week and she was so sweet to the residents. She's a good girl. I'm glad she can make others smile as much as she makes me smile! I'm still enjoying my Sunday School class. We are now covering the book of Job..and I'm telling you..If you think you have trials, and suffering..just read Job..It will put your whole life into perspective..

Valentine Cline

Well I had a great Valentines Day.. Jordan and I actually went out on Friday night to Boulevard Steakhouse..It was REALLY good.. REALLY expensive, but thankfully we had bought a Groupon that took $40 off our bill, so that was helpful. I had Tenderloin tips with Mushroom sauce and garlic mashed potatoes..He had a Fillet with Button Burgandy Mushrooms..It was delish. Saturday We rented all the X-Men movies and watched them. I usually don't enjoy Sci-fi movies, but I do like all the X-men movies..Hank is my favorite.. Because he is weird and puffish blue. Then on Sunday we went to watch "Just go with It" with Adam Sandler & Jennifer Aniston..It was a great movie! I love Adam Sandler.. More on V-day in a moment..

Saturday Brandon invited me to go see "Always, Patsy Cline" at the Lyric Plaza Theatre.. I wasn't sure what to expect, because not many people can sing like Miss Patsy Cline! So my expectations were pretty low.. But man, when the actress leaned into Walkin After Midnight we were hooked! She sounded so much like her that I thought she was lip syncing! She looked like her too, and ended up singing like 13 Patsy songs throughout the show! The actress that played her best friend, Louise, was an Oklahoma Native, and she was hilarious and awesome too! It was a REALLY good show. We were so glad that we went..In fact its inspired me to do a Patsy Cline Medley when I performa at the Rodeo Opry on March 26th. So on Valentines day Monday, I gave Jordan all his stuff..I got him a bunch of Ford Raptor crap.. Like a hoodie, T-shirt, matchbox car, and an OSU tag..Oh, and a head massage..how great is that! He came over and didn't have anything in his hands..so I was like "What! Where is my Valentine, and I was crying around to Sawyer and Payslee that I didn't get a Valentine.. Well little did I know that he had snuck into my Bathroom and put a giant vase of flowers (pictured above) in my Bathtub! He knows how much I love to take a bath, and that I would find them there..So of course I had to eat Crow and apologize..lol.. I also got a Silver "I love you" Ring from Tiffany's.. He's pretty much the best..

Last night we finally (because of 2 weeks of snow) got to finish the "Muslims & Christianity".. It has been SO interesting. Jordan has been going with me to it, and we both really enjoyed it. We'll start another class next week over the book of Romans. I'm also loving my Sunday school class too..I wish I could sing in Church, but I don't want to join the choir..I would, but they practice on Wednesdays, which would take me out of my class, and you have to sing in both services, which would take me out of my Sunday school class.. Snowklahoma!

Wow! Is this weather bizarre or what! It always cracks me up when people see snow and say "Yeah, Al Gore, this is really Global Warming!"..because if they did any research at all, they would realize that drastic highs and lows and giant snowstorms across the whole US IS a part of Global Warming..But whatever, thats a rant for another day..

Anyway, Chesapeake actually closed the campus on Tuesday & Wednesday, which apparently NEVER happens, so that tells you just how serious this snow and ice was in Oklahoma City! I was afraid to leave my garage because I knew my G6 would not "ramp" back in.. Jordan didn't want to leave his vehicle out either, so we did manage to move some things around, and fit that Giant Ford F150 Raptor into my garage! Yay! So we stayed in for 2 days while I made Potato soup, King Ranch Chicken, and fried potatoes.. I can't say that I didn't enjoy it.. I think Oklahoma City ended up with 12 inches of Snow..However, the dog babes were confused and bored. There was a 3 ft drift outside my back door, so if they wanted to pee, they had to cross over the drift and they were like "Mama, what do we do?".. so I grabbed a shovel and built them a tunnel..that made them much happier...but still bored. Finally yesterday after being shut in for 3 days and keeping themselves entertained with bully sticks and chews, I was able to take them to their field.. They ran and played and dove in and out of snow for 30 minutes! They were so happy! (See pic left) What great exercise for both them and me! I was glad they were able to use up some of that energy.. people, its important that your dogs get exercise..They need it, we need it, so yeah, do it...Payslee is NOT a dog that can go without it. She may only be 6 pounds, but she is 6 pounds of annoying when she doesn't get exercise! So this morning I took them back to the field again. AFTER..........

I realized that the damn garage door was broken.. Now to some this might not be a big deal. To me it means I'm going to be robbed blind if I don't figure out how to get that garage door back down! Thankfully my landlord answered the call and sent someone over to fix it..Apparently the wheels had come off the track, (which is incorrect and causes it to NOT work) and he put them back on, shot some WD-40 in it, and away we went! So thankful for garage door repair guys on a Saturday!

I'm still working at Paws Around Town on some Satursdays, although I've cut back quite a bit, because I worked 7 days a week since November and realized I needed a little time off..but I still love going there, and so does Miss Pays.. We also made some Valentines Day Cards to give out on our Therapy visits this week..The residents love to have little keep-sakes to hang on their walls after we leave, so I think they will like them.. They are pictured Below..They turned out really cute.. Speaking of Valentines day, I think I'm getting TIRES for V-day.. yeah, not that romantic, but dangit, I really need two new tires on my car..blargh though..Who wants freakin tires for Valentines day!! Damn.

The Michael Jackson Experience

WEll Hi.. So I've been playing "The Michael Jackson Experience" on my Wii.. It was one of my favorite Christmas presents this year..The premise of the game is that you listen to Michael Jackson songs, and then you dance like he dances...This is humorous to me, because who can really dance like Michael Jackson? NO ONE..And certainly not THIS White girl! However, I still love it because I love his music, and by the end of 4 songs I've had one Helluva a workout!! Even when I put it on "Easy" and dance like the backup dancers I stll am huffing and puffing by the end..Part of that is because I'm out of shape (boo) but the other is because Michael Jackson is a pretty bionic dancer.. So if you like Michael Jackson, get the game...its pretty fantastic..I play the game in the confines of my house..Playing it in front of others would probably provide hours of entertainment while they made fun of me..So I'm not quite ready for that yet. But I would love to watch others play it, and then make fun of them!

We had a couple of good therapy visits this week. Payslee & I went to the Alzheimer unit on Wednesday and she made a lot of people smile there..and then on Thursday I took Sawyer & Miss Pays to The Fountains at Canterbury. They had a great time! I think Sawyer is getting a little bit better at therapy stuff. He likes people, but he's not sure quite what to do with them. Sawyer has always been a sweetie pie puff face, but it takes him awhile to truly LOVE people. He's always friendly, but he doesn't want to always keep hanging out with the people. Payslee will sit on the residents laps for a long time as long as she can see me, and she will let them pet and love her. She's very tolerant. Yesterday she was wearing a Pink Tutu with a glitter crown on it..It was a big hit. I'm so thankful to have them..they are such a blessing to me and to others.

For those of you who have asked me about the "Pet Communicator", she will be back at Paws around Town on February 5th. If you'd like to book a session with her for your dog babe, call the store, and they will take your information..I know she books up fast, so the sooner the better..Its pretty fun. My suggestion is that you take in questions that you want to ask your dog, because I didn't really take any and just kinda flew by the seat of my pants..but she will ask them specific questions if you have them.

So this weekend Jordan and I are celebrated our year anniversary..Can you believe that! It doesn't seem like its been that long, and I think thats because its been such a fun, easy relationship..which is how they all should be. It only took me 15 years to figure that out! haha! We went to Deep Fork where I had a delicious Walnut Crusted Tilapia, and he had steak Diane. He also got me a coach wallet to match my bag..which I really needed since my old wallet was falling apart and quite ugly. My parents got back from Denver and our Bull, Renegade won Grand Champion! How great is that! Now he will just go back to the farm and be a "Stud".. Happy life for him.

The "Christians & Muslims" class at Crossings is just fascinating..Jordan went with me this week and he liked it to. Terry is such a great teacher that he really explains it well, and you learn so much. Stuff I would have never knew before..Its on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 if you ever want to join me..

New year..New times..New opportunities

Well folks, I'm going to be honest. 2010 was NOT the best year for me..After I found my love, Jordan, it pretty much went to crap after that..In March my former radio station blind-sided me with a pink slip..no explanation, No reasoning..No nothing.. I understand business..and I understand a crappy economy..what I don't understand is people pretending to be my friend, and then stabbing me in the back..or people asking me to look out for their family, and then stabbing me in the back..or when I constantly ask "Can I help with anything?" "Is everything going okay with the station?" "Is there anything I can do?" people lying straight to my face, knowing all along they were going to give me my walking papers a few weeks later.

My parents have always taught me that if you work hard, do your best, do MORE than your share, and treat people with respect, that you will not only KEEP your job, but stand a good chance of being promoted..Sadly, that is NOT the case with the radio business, and its not the case with a lot of jobs with the way the economy is these days, which is a shame..because really good people with amazing talents are out of work, or working in jobs that do not challenge them creatively..thats really sad.. BUT.. The good news in all this is that now I have an opportunity to find something else that I love to do, and try to continue to help people through my therapy dog work..

Its been what I call a "Learning year"..I've had a chance to work on my relationships..My relationships with family and friends, my relationship with Jordan, and more importantly my relationship with God. I've been forced to look at myself and think about what I've been doing with my life up till now, and I've also realized that I need to work on my Walk with God, and the way I handle myself, and the people around me..Its been rough, but its been good..and I've also been able to look at the "Trials" in my life, and realize that through those struggles, God is big enough to turn them into "Victories".. So with that said, I'm thankful for this crappy 2010 year..why? Well here ya go, here's my list of trials this year:

1) I'm thankful for getting let Go at KKNG. it brought me new friends, amazing opportunities, funtimes, and taught me that there is more to life than just a career..

2) I'm thankful for a former Boss I had in College: Even though I disagree with the type of person he is, it was his radio station that taught me how to do good radio.

3) I'm thankful for Ex-Boyfriends.. I've dated some good guys, and some real losers, and I'm thankful for both. The crappy ones showed me what I DON'T want in relationships, and the good ones showed me how to be a better girlfriend in my present relationship.

4) I'm thankful for the opportunity at new jobs because I am learning what I like doing, Vs. What I don't like doing, and I can take those steps to change it.

5) I'm thankful for Negative, Pessimistic People because they show me how I don't want to be perceived, or act to others.

I know God has a plan for me.. The irony is that before I always asked the Lord to bless "MY" plan.. Now I'm just asking him to bless the plan he has for me.. I would be foolish to think that anything I could come up with would be half as good as the amazing things that he has planned..When my grandma Leona died I was so sad, and one afternoon I layed down to take a nap..I had a dream that she called me from heaven and said "KC, You have no idea the amazing things he has planned for you" and right when she started to tell me what they were, the Lord reached over and slapped her hand and said "Shh!".. lol.. That dream will stay with me forever, because I know she was right.. So right now I've just got to be patient, and let him work through me. I have an amazing family, an amazing boyfriend, awesome friends, and the sweetest, cutest dogs I could ever ask for..So while this year has been crappy, I still feel so very blessed and thankful each day. Bring it on 2011!!

The story of MJ

Well I successfully stayed up to midnight last night.. Shocker. I was really surprised. MJ, Lauren, Brandon, and I all went to McNellies pub and had some drinks and watched OSU get beat by Gonzaga..Then we decided to go Cosmic bowling..The place we went was less than fancy, but hey..balls are balls..and bowling is bowling..lol.. So with that going on we managed to stay up till midnight! I was happy to bring in the new year with good friends, and my love..

2010 Was an odd year for me.. We had that bizarre snow-storm throughout Christmas..but I was on vacation at the farm, so I enjoyed being warm with my family.. I brought in the New Year with friends, and a date..It was an odd date that went NO WHERE, and that was the end of that.. but I wasn't discouraged because for some reason I just felt that this was the year that I was going to meet the man that was brave enough to put up with me.. So for those of you who don't know the story of MJ, here ya go..

MJ stands for Magical Jordan..His name is Jordan.. He was a friend of a friend, that being Brandon & Amy, who I had gotten very close to although I had never met MJ at that point..In Early January I was having a "Wii" party with my new Wii that Santa had brought me..AT that time I was dating a Cop that I had met, and he had come over for our 2nd date. I really wasn't that into him, but I had not been dating for a year, so I was trying to be optimistic..The dogs didn't try to bite him, so I didn't think he could be all that bad.. Well as the night went on, Brandon & Amy inform me that they have invited MJ over, but he has stranger danger and hates talking to new people.. Little did I know that they had invited him over to meet ME, and not told HIM that I was on a date with another guy! Great right?

So when he gets there, I run outside to 'save' him from my crazy neighbor who has been hollering at people parking in the street all night.. I run outside and say hello and invite him in..but remember I don't think he is there to meet me, I think he's just there to see Brandon & Amy.. So he comes inside and we all start to play wii.. I begin to lose at Wii, so I begin to cuss in a big way..As you know I'm very competitive, and I hate losing.. So I'm slurring some pretty good cuss words together.. Oh, and did I mention all the wine? Yeah..lots of wine.. Anyway.. So throughout the night Amy & Brandon are texting Jordan and I saying "What do you think" "Do you like him" "Go make your move"..etc, and I"m thinking "I'm on a date with another guy!".. but I have realized at this point that whether I end up dating Jordan or not, I do NOT want to be dating the Cop.. However, The Cop has decided that we SHOULD be dating, and I should not be talking to anyone else at my party and begins to act like a D-bag..

So by the end of the night the Cop is mad, Jordan is confused, I'm confused, and Amy & Brandon are claiming 'innocent'.. :) Well after all that mess, Amy & Brandon ask us if we want to go on a double date that weekend..so we agree.. We ended up talking on the phone a few nights, and it was great..We had a lot in common.

Not to be sappy, but our first date was awesome, and I loved him from that moment on.. We went to the Mont in Norman and had 'swirls'..and I'm not sure if it was the swirls, or his pretty blue eyes, but it was a done deal for me.. lol.. He was such a gentleman, and so sweet..and Miss Payslee loved him too.. I think it took him like a week before he liked me as much, but we have been inseparable since that time..On the 23rd we will have been together for a year! And I still love the guy...and thankfully he loves me back! So yeah, while the job front pretty much sucked ass in 2010, I'll still be thankful that I found my Magical Jordan! This has been the easiest, most effortless relationship, and now I know that "God does bless the broken road, that leads you straight to your love!".. Thanks Rascal Flatts.. Okay..thats enough sap for now..I'm even making myself ill.. Happy New Year!

Tron was horrible..Christmas is good!

So here is my Christmas tree this year. MJ said he wanted to do an OSU tree, and I'm thinking he means a "small" one.. Um no..he comes over with a giant 7th tall black tree! We put the orange bulbs on it, but it needed a little more sparkle, so I grabbed some glitter twigs and jazzed it up..we liked the end result.

We also went to see "Tron" on Friday night.. Now pardon me, but I didn't see the one in the 80's, so I didn't know what to expect, but it didn't look like my kind of movie from the previews..and boy was I right! I just hated it! I had a hard time even sitting through it! MJ loved it, but I wanted to scratch it off the screen! Blargh.. Next time I will be watching "Black Swan" instead..

I had my christmas party on Saturday, and we all had a great time playing A new Wii game called "Just Dance".. Watching my friends try to dance was flipping hilarious! We had some great food too..I'm only working till Thursday this week, then we will have Christmas with MJ's mom on Christmas eve, then my family on Christmas day.. I'm so blessed this year! Well Hello Christmas Magic!

So I've been working at "Paws around Town" and yesterday Payslee & I just had a blast.. Lots of fun customers, and she's quite a sales person because she stands at the edge of the doors till people see her..then when they try to pet her, she races inside, so they have to come IN the store to shop if they want to pet her! Its funny..and she's such a good greeter! We are having a lot of fun there.. Plus when Miss Pays gets home, she is just BEAT.. (see side pic)..

Last week I went to an awesome Christmas party and won a gift certificate to the Movies, and an Ulta Gift Certificate..AWESOME! I'm going to try to finish up my Christmas shopping this week, and start making plans for my Christmas Party on Saturday.. I've been working quite a bit, but things are slow this week at one of my jobs, so hopefully I'll catch up and get ready for some party festivus!

I believe that Santa is going to bring me some new Landrollers..I'm pretty pumped about that, seeing that the last wheels I bought threw me into the pavement! Plus the babes are ready to rollerblade again. I'm also getting a new bike..It belonged to my dear friend Dick Johnson that I did morning with in Weatherford..I loved loved him, and sang at his funeral 2 years ago..I can't believe he's been gone that long, and I still miss him..But..I LOVE his sweet wife Ellen, and when she told me she wanted to sell his bike, I knew it was meant to be mine! I'm going to see if I can get one of those wagon things that the babes can ride in while I bike along.. Oh what a sight! lol

Christmastime's a Coming..

well I had my hair done again.. This time I added blonde to the red.. It's pretty delicious. Nicole at "Changes hair salon" in Edmond is who does my hair, and she does a great job! Mj likes it, even though he thinks I would look good with brown hair, I politely declined.. Lol

Well I'm working my fingers to the bone.. I work at Chesapeake all day, then tonight I'll go to work at "Paws around Town" till 8pm, since we are staying open late on Thursdays or the holidays.. The irony of all this working is that I still have no money! How does that happen! It's the time of the year when I do need to be buying presents.. I have bought a few things, but I have more that I need to get. Hopefully that will happen next week.

Last night I took Payslee to the new alzheimer unit called "Cyprus springs".. She was sweet to all the residents and we had a good visit. We go there every two weeks. I've been missing our regular thursday visits because of working late, but will start back up again in January. Payslee has a new Christmas dress thanks to Deb.. She has the cutest things at www.doggiedudsbydeb.com. She does such a great job..so between Miss Deb, and working at the dog shop, Miss Pays has all kinds of cute Christmas clothes!

Did you all watch the repeat of Wynonna Judd yesterday on Oprah? I watched it for the 2nd time and I've decided I need a life coach.. How cool would it be to have a life coach! Soeone that just reminds you how fantastic you are..offers great advice..listens to you cry about your issues and offers encouragement.. Tells you you are pretty..etc.. Yeah, I'm on board. I'm going to try to find one when I make enough money to hire one.. Lol. Better yet, I'll ask Santa for one!

Legs of the Living

You know, back when I was in High school I used to love my legs. I loved them because they were strong, and they would help me push post players out of the lane.. or they would help me push people over the half-court line when the ref wasn't watching (Yes, I played 6 on 6..shut it)..They helped me stand my ground when someone was pushing me around the lane..Now I just want to shave them off..Seriously. Isn't it so funny that the things you used to love about yourself when you were younger, now torment you? I hate my thighs..I'm sure this is not a new revelation for a woman to say, but I do..I don't mind having a little junk in my trunk..but I hate having TREE Trunk legs.. Why am I blogging about this? Who knows.. lets move on..

I've started my 2nd job at Paws around Town. Payslee & I went to work on Sunday and Pays was quite the little sales person..She would stand by the door and people would see her, and try to come pet her, then she would race into the store so they would HAVE to come in and look around! How funny is that! We will go to work again tomorrow, then again on Saturday & Sunday..I'll be working 7 days a week through December, but I'll be able to do some Christmas shopping at the store!

We had a great Thanksgiving.. It was just a few of us, but delish food, and always nice to be with my family.. MJ didn't get to join us, because we decided to come back on Friday to do some shopping..We went to Penny's, but it was a madhouse, so settled on the Market, where mom got some awesome stuff, and I picked up a few gifts.. Saturday we all went to Stillwater to tailgate with my brother, Randy..He set up 4 tents, and cooked all kinds of goodness.. Calf fries, noodles, stew, Frito-pies..and of course drinks! He had the TV setup in the tent so we could watch stuff.. It was fun..didn't like the result OF THE game, but I'm very proud of my OSU Cowboys!

I downloaded that song "Brand new Key".. Its the song off that HP Baby commercial where the baby is traveling down the road in the walker and the lady is singing "I've got a brand new pair of rollerskates, you've got a brand new key..".. I love it. It makes me happy when I hear it..

GO POKES!!

Went to Church yesterday and the sermon was called "Thankful People Have Perspective" and Pastor Marty went onto say that they have Perspective, because they Count their blessings.. I can honestly say, I count my blessings every single day. Not a day goes by that I don't give thanks for the life I live. Even though right now, its not exactly where I want it to be, I'm still very thankful. We make a choice everyday where we put our perspective. We can start off grouchy because some fool is druving too slow in tge fast lane, or we can choose to be thankful because we actually have a car that takes us where we need to go. Its our choice. Marty summed all his 'Blessings' into 3 categories because it basically fell under one of these three Umbrellas...the first one was:

GRACE: Where would we be without the Grace of God? G R A C E=Gods riches at Christ's Expense.. Which is a great way to sum up Grace. Being that God has offered Grace to us, it's our purpose as Christians to offer Grace to others..and with recent radio events in my life, offering grace to others who have wronged me, is VERY difficult. I have realized that I do forgive, but I do not forget, and I think that's ok.

The 2nd one was Purpose: We all have to know that there is a reason we exist. God has a purpose for us. Sometimes we don't realize our true purpose until we discover our spiritual gifts. Spiritual gifts bring new purpose & perspective. God can use our gifts in our struggles & our weaknesses.. This is very true, because I think sometimes it takes a heartbreak, or the loss of something that makes us get a new perspective about how God may be trying to work in our life. He starts out with a whisper, but sometimes we are so self absorbed tat it takes a yell! Lol! So when you pray are you making a to-do list for God, or asking him that he bless YOUR path? Because that's what I have been doing! We need to pray for his will to be done, not ours..even though he loves us enough to bless our will, we are probably going to miss out on all the amazing things that HE might have had planned with his will..
The 3rd thing was Peace: in the Lord we are all given peace. We can weather any storm, and he always gets us through it, and walks beside it. Ironically enough, we usually never see it at the time, but can look back and think: "thanks for helping Lord"..

As we get to Thanksgiving remember to count your blessings, and even in your frustration with family, friends, idiots, morons, Late people, obnoxious folks, negative people, and even smack talking OU fans..remember to never be lacking in compassion.. You never know for sure what burdens people have going on right now..so don't add to it, but try to help through it. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I'm getting emotional in Old Age

I have realized that as I am getting older, I am becoming less of a hard-ass, and more tender. How do you know this? Well because I never would have written a blog 5 years ago admitting that I was tender for one!

Growing up I was always the serious one..When I showed cattle my eyebrows were always down, always stern, and I had one thing in mind: WINNING. It was the same exact way in basketball. I have always been consumed with being first, being #1, being the best.. And as I've gone through this latest journey of being let go at KKNG, I realize that there's really no point in living your life that way. I did everything I could possibly do to make that station better..I went out of my way to do more than my fair share of work..I worked on things that no one else would do..I worked at events that no one else wanted to be with..I let work CONSUME me, and in the end it didn't really matter because I can't (and neither can you) change bad decisions.

I have been CONSUMED with radio for 13 years. I never had productive relationships, because the job always came first. I dropped everything when my bosses asked me to, and ran to the job. I put up with more crap than anyone should ever tolerate, because I was consumed with being the best..But what I've realized out of all of this, is that even when you ARE the best..Something around you is usually suffering..Your friendships..your relationships with your family..Your dogs..your body..lol, etc.. Something always has to give, and for me, it was always everything else BUT radio.

Now that I've had time to reflect on the past events I've realized how much "LOVE" and "JOY" I was missing. MJ coming into my life at just the right time..A church that has brought so much happiness into my life..a Family that I love to spend time with..And Dogs that make me smile every single time I look at them..And what am I missing? Nothing..The reason I loved radio is because it was all about me..now my life has shifted and God has tapped me on the shoulder and said, "How bout making it all about me, and my plan for a change?" and as I've accepted this challenge, I've grown more tender.

I can't watch anyone sing in the Crossings Church choir without tears welling up in my eyes. I am a person who is touched by music. All kinds..all tempos. I LOVE Music..I'm PROUD of music. I also love watching OTHER people LOVE music..When I look around my church and the choir is singing so beautifully that the congregation simply can't sit still..or they must stand up to give a standing ovation..that touches ME. When someone sings a song that truly moves them to emotion..that moves ME. When one of my favorite artists wins an award..I start crying for them, because I'm proud, and I know how hard they've worked..When I read a story about a sweet dog getting adopted, I cry, because of how awesome the person is for adopting the dog, and for how awesome that dog is going to make that person feel. When life is not focused all on me, I have a chance to look around and see what God is doing..And its really cool stuff. I can't even Watch Oprah pay off someone's house without crying because I'm thinking that Oprah is awesome for not just being a rich old bag..She shares..she loves..she gives back.. THAT is awesome.

So this week I challenge you to look for things that unite you with people..not separate you.. CMA Music Awards Chatter

Well I watched the CMA's last night, and If I'm being honest, I could have seriously done without Kid Rock. He sang an awful song, and the whole thing was awful..He, however was the worst.. I do love watching Reba, what I don't love is when she picks a Beyonce song to sing! She has that great song called "On the Radio" and I was so hoping she would Sass it up.. but then she comes out with that Beyonce song..NOT good.

I also didn't enjoy Miranda Lamberts outfits..It looked like she was seriously wearing Gunpowder & Lead! I'm glad she won though..and I'm glad Blake won. I also enjoyed Taylor Swift NOT doing the hair-flip,stomping, songs..I enjoyed her being more subdued and serious..Plus I liked that song. I thought Kenny Chesney sounded a bit off, and Alan was a little rusty, but I did enjoy King George getting emotional during "Breath you Take".. I'll still never understand why Hillary of Lady A wore a hip hugging dress, when she has a big butt, and big hips.. Someone should have told her..She's such a pretty girl, and that dress was just AWFUL!

Don't care about Gwynth Patrow's country music Debut..Don't care about Sheryl Crow.. I did enjoy seeing Kelly Clarkson sing with Jason Aldean, and I did enjoy Sugarland's fun, upbeat "Stuck like Glue".. Cute. That Jennifer Nettles just MAKES you like her!

About 2 weeks ago mom found these two sweetfaces roaming in the Tree row, abandoned, and hungry..She took them in, and has been working with them..they are sweet, smart, labs, and have a great disposition..They would be excellent family dogs, so if you, or someone you know has room in your home for them, email me at kcsheperd@aol.com

Now moving on.. Today I went to Sunday School at Crossings and Terry had a great message today.. He was talking about how we are usually always asking God to bless OUR plan.. and what WE want.. Now God will do this, because he loves us.. but did you ever stop to think about what plan HE had in mind? God's plan is always bigger, better, and more abundant that anything we could have planned.. So sometimes its just best to say "Lord..Its all in your hands. I have no idea what you have planned for me, but I know its cooler, and more awesome than anything I could have come up with on my own, so have at it!".. But in our efforts to always have control of every situation, its hard to give it up to him, and let him take the reins. I'm doing that right now..and there are many days when I feel like I've been left hanging.. but I'm so excited about HIS plan.. For the last 13 years its been all about MY plan..what I Want..what I think is best.. and I've realized, that I'm not always the best decision maker.. Now I'm going to leave it up to the Master and let him do amazing things with me, and through me.

Tomorrow is Miss Dorothy's funeral. For those of you who don't know, she was the hospice lady that I visited on a weekly basis. She was 87 years old, and a spitfire.. When you sign up to Volunteer for hospice they tell you that the patient usually has 6 months or less, but I had Miss Dorothy for 2 years! I feel truly blessed to have known her, and been her friend. Tomorrow I will sing "Drinking from My Saucer" to celebrate her life at her service. What a neat, inspiring lady.. She didn't even enter the work force until she was 60 years old, and worked till she could not work anymore because the Cancer hurt her bones. She used to tell me she was "almost perfect" and now I know she truly is...

Lately I've been thinking a lot (Since someone has been sending me rude, hateful emails) that its really awful when people get to a point in their lives in which they don't care about hurting someone's feelings, or care about someone's feelings.. Like those who constantly act hateful to waitors and waitresses.. sending food back..barking complaints.. griping about the service. .I don't like to wait either, but these people are doing their jobs, so why try to be rude and make them feel bad about themselves? Or Road-ragers.. Unless you plan on seriously getting out of your car and fighting someone, don't act like you are a badass behind the wheel..We all have places to go, so lets all just try to be respectful when we are driving. .We all make mistakes, and driving mishaps..so lets just be nice about it. My point is this.. Instead of taking time out of our life to try to make someone feel bad..why not smile, or offer kind words to make someone feel good? Who knows what kind of day that person might be having, in which your kind words might lighten their load.. to quote my favorite band the Oak Ridge Boys

Halloween Poppycock Festivus

Well I managed to pull off the "Princess Poppycock" costume this year.. It took forever! That white makeup is a beast..and after about 2 hours it starts cracking, and then you look like the Joker! I had all my friends over for a big party, and they had some pretty good costumes too.. We had Mario & Luigi, bad slumberparties, Cops, and all kinds of good stuff.

MJ dressed up as Luigi..Miss Paylsee was unsure of his weird puffish hands.. The picture of her to the left is at a therapy visit last week..We went to Sterling House and they enjoyed her Ballerina outfit..plus they had such a cute setup outside that I just had to pose her!

As you can see from the group pic, we all had a great time at the party.. MJ and I went to another Halloween party on Sunday..but I didn't do Poppycock makeup..I did more of a "Raggedy Ann" outfit..now that I have Red Hair, it wasn't that big of a stretch..There was a guy there dressed as Bret Michaels, and it was hilarious..

Well today is election day..I tried to vote by Absentee, but I didn't apply on time, so I'll be waiting in line today I suppose..I have to go vote though..last time I voted it took me 3 hours when we were voting for President..

Going to Eat Sushi tonight.. MMM! Usually its Taco Tuesday, but I'm thinking something different for tonight.. Speaking of Food, MJ & I drove to Medicine park on Friday to meet my brother..He just proposed to his girlfriend, so the whole family met up to eat and celebrate at The Old Plantation..
It was great food, and everyone was very excited for Grant & Jenny..He also picked out an awesome ring!

Halloween is coming up!

I love Halloween.. So I had to do this pic.. As you'll notice, my hair is now RED! Yes! MJ wanted to see what I looked like with Dark hair..He wanted brown, I wanted NOT brown..so we compromised with Red. Its a dark Red, and its pretty great. Nicole at Changes Hair Salon and she does such an awesome job.. I love this look for Fall, and I knew I could pull off being a red head!!

I'm having a Halloween party this weekend and I'm dressing up as "Princess Poppycock" from America's got Talent..I'm thinking its going to take me forever to get my makeup on.. I have a giant, white, Wig that I'm going to use for my hair..and a fun hat that mom is mailing to me.. My friends have some pretty good ideas too, so I'll take lots of pics..I've invited quite a diverse crowd, and it could get quite entertaining..

Tonight we are going on a Therapy Visit. Payslee will be wearing her Ballerina outfit.. We go on visits every Thursday, and today we are going to Canterbury to visit those folks. We always enjoy our visit there. I went to visit Miss Dorothy, My Hospice friend, on Tuesday..She is not doing very good right now, so keep her in your prayers.

I've lost 4 pounds this week. I started up the HCG diet again..I know I can do it, and its what works for me..Yes, eating a low amount of calories sucks, but losing weight sucks period, so I guess its all a wash! The dog babes and I have been walking every night and we both enjoy that. Hope you all have a great rest of the week!

Well this year I had a hard time deciding on the Dog Babes costumes.. Sawyer finally decided that he wanted to be a Dinosaur..so here he is.. DINOSAW! I swear..I hear people that say "Oooo poor dog"..but look at these babies faces, they love the attention! They are the happiest dog babes ever, and that makes me feel good.

Payslee's outfit came pretty natural this year..She is always wearing frilly, puffy stuff with lots of bling and sequins..So I had my favorite dress maker, Doggie Duds by Deb, who makes all Payslee's cutest outfits whip up a Ballerina Costume complete with matching bow.. I was NOT disappointed, as always, it was ADORABLE!

People think I'm full of crap when I say my dogs smile..but look at them.. Am I lying! They are adorable, and such a joy to me. We went to a therapy visit on Thursday to Sterling House in Edmond..Payslee wore her Pumpkin Oufit, and they charmed everyone.. Even Saw gave a few hugs. He's getting so much better at being a Therapy dog. I'm so proud of them.

The Job is going okay.. I'm still not sure I'm cutout for computer IT..Why? Because I feel like an idiot most of the time when folks are talking to me! I sure know a lot more than when I started.. Do I miss being on the radio? YES. I watched a Movie over the weekend called "RED" and it was about retired CIA people...and basically their life was similar to mine..When you do something you love, that you live for, that you look forward to going to everyday..its VERY hard to give that up.. And its very hard to just quit longing for that feeling..Thats my struggle right now.. MJ thinks I'm insane most days because he's never loved something like I love being on the radio. Most people don't.. Most people just have to go to a job that pays the bills, or that they got a degree in, or that they ended up with.. I get that..But man, I will say that I honestly hope that at some point in everyone's life, they get to go to a job that makes them SMILE and LAUGH every single day..thats what Radio was for me.. and I haven't given up on finding that same love yet.. Right now God is using me in different areas, and in different ways.. Stretching my boundaries, and taking me out of my comfort zone.. But I know in the end, he has a HUGE plan for me.. Something way better than anything I could have planned..So I need to be patient and wait for it to get here..

I'm having a Halloween party next weekend.. Pre-Halloween if you will, because a lot of my friends are already doing other things..I'm very excited. I'm dressing up as Poppycock from America's Got Talent.. pic's to follow..although it will be hard to top the Doggie Pics!! I watched "RED" and I give it 4 stars.. It stands for "Retired, Extremely, Dangerous" and has some great actors in it.. Bruce Willis, Helen Mirram, Morgan Freeman, and more.. Its very action filled, and good.. We also watched "You Again" with Jamie Lee Curtis..Its an awesome girl movie, so take your girlfriends when you have time.. I'm still not sure who I'm cheering for on Dancing with the Stars this year.. I will say its NOT Jennifer Grey.. I don't like her nose job, lol.. I know thats awful, but I don't.. I miss "Baby".. I love Grey's this season..so good, and so is Private Practice..

Happy Birthday Miss Payslee!

Today is Miss Payslee's 2nd birthday.. Wow! It's been a fast two years. Seems like just yesterday when I was so heartbroken over losing my first shih-tzu, Pandora to pancreatitis.

Pandora was the first dog who taught me how to be a good dog mom. She was so ornery and just really had a mind of her own. There were several times when I would come home, and she would have eaten a bowl of candy..One time in particular I came home to find her sucking on a sucker with the stick hanging out of her mouth! She didn’t like to stay home alone, so she would push out my window screens on nice days, let herself out, and go across to my neighbors house. She would then let herself in through their doggie door, jump up on their couch, and watch TV with them until I got home. Many days I would come home to see the PSO guy, shirtless, cigar in his mouth, carrying Pandora under his right arm to bring her back home. He got used to her just going over there because she did it so frequently! Another time when I was letting her run off-leash, she ran into a pen full of Longhorns..My heart seriously quit beating when she walked right up to one of them and sat down in front of it, as if to say “Hello giant Friend, I’m a shih-Tzu!”.. Thankfully the Longhorn just bent his head down, sniffed her, and then walked away. At that point I raced in to get her..she seriously had NO FEAR. What a great dog.. My heart was so broken when she died that I didn’t think I would ever want another Tzu..But low and behold, when I went to schedule my hospice volunteering the coordinator had just had a new batch of puppies. A littler of two. One black and white, and One Red and white.. She asked me if I wanted to see them, and at first I said, No way.. But then she said “I know your heart is breaking for Pandora, but puppies make everyone smile”.. So I went back there, and that’s when I fell in love with Miss Payslee..

I knew I didn’t want the black and white one, since Pan was black and white..So I made up my mind that day, that a month later, I’d be taking home Miss Pays.. Except that wasn’t her name to start out with. At first I was calling her Harper. I would go visit her every week and take pics of her..She got to where she would dance around when she heard my voice..and the day I took her home, she didn’t even cry for her mom or sister. However, I knew at that point, that she was NOT a Harper..She was already turning into a little devil, and acting like a wild bird…So I decided on Payslee May. I thought Rally would be excited to have another girl in the house..WRONG. Rally couldn’t stand her..and of course all she wanted to do was bite at him, chase him, and act foolish.. There were times I thought “This ain’t gonna work”.. But thankfully Miss Pays was smart, and figured out her boundaries quick.

I started training her the day I brought her home. We put on a harness, and learned to walk on a leash. She weighed 1.2 pounds at that point. Such a tiny girl. But you couldn’t tell by her personality..She was feisty, and hilarious to me. If you tried to put her in a crate while driving she would wail, and cry like you had shot her. I told myself that she was going to be crated at night…You know how long that lasted? Not even one night..She wanted to sleep right by me in bed, and since I’m a light sleeper, I let her..She was potty-trained by 12 weeks..and I was so impressed with how smart she was, and eager to please..She completed her puppy class right on time, and she was therapy certified before even turning a year old..What a good girl!

Her favorite things? Running with Sawyer as fast as she can.. Cream cheese frosting, riding in her car-seat by me in the car, visiting her grandma Robbie at the farm, and pestering MJ because he won’t pay attention to her. She has brought me so much joy. Every day I try to do something that I know will make her life happier, because I know she does that for me, and all the people she visits.. Happy Birthday Miss Payslee, you are my sweet biscuit girl!

Great Birthday & New Ideas!

Well we had a great time on my birthday.. Who knew that giant white Van would be so much fun, but it was! We started things off at Dan O'Briens and had some dinner.. then we decided to try out "Murphy's Dueling Piano's" in Bricktown and it was SO fun! Leslie (Bill's wife) arranged for the piano guys to play me a song, to which they had the guys in the audience get down on one knee and sing "You've lost that loving feeling" to me.. Then Bill played the drums with the Piano too.. Its a very fun place to go!

I've attached some pics from the night.. the first one is Me & MJ..The next is Me, Shelly and Lauren..Then the last one is Me & Bill.. Good times.

Last week we all went to the State Fair twice last week..I tried some fried Mashed Bacon Potatoes.. and some Maccarroni & Cheese..then our second trip I had a Corndog. MJ had a giant corndog, and then I had a Strawberries newport..MM MM..Delish!

Last weekend MJ & I went to see "Takers".. it was okay..The weekend before we saw "Devil" and "The Town".. They were both excellent.. Devil is CREEPY and will make you scared of elevators for awhile.. The Town is about Bank Robbers and is action packed..Both good, go see em'..

Today while driving down the road I saw a man begging for money.. I guess he wasn't getting enough so he decided to upll up his shirt and show his abs.. (Like the Situation on Jersey shore does) and someone actually gave him money for it! What! What a strange world..lol..

Birthday Weekend & Dog Show

Well this is my Birthday weekend.. My friends and I are renting a 12 passenger Van and having MJ drive us around town for funtimes.. We haven't really decided what all we are going to do, but with my crew, I know it will be fun. This is the first birthday in 13 years where I haven't given awan presents on the air! Its so freakin weird not being on the radio anymore..I find myself thinking of funny stories to tell, then remember I'm not on the air! Blargh..

Last week MJ and I went to the farm..We saw two baby calves born, and MJ got to see Steve's giant tractor since he was sewing wheat. The dog babes of course ran around like Farm dogs, and I kept calling for Sawyer but couldn't find him.. Well I found him. Trapped in a patch of Stickers, with his face saying "I'm not moving mama".. so I go over and get him, and Mom, & I spend 20 minutes getting stickers out of his fur while MJ holds him..He's such a farm dog, lol..

We went and had a steak at Portobello's, and then met my dad, Kirby, for lunch at the Italian place in Elk City..Good food.. Plus, they were having a dog show in Elk City! So Mom, MJ, & I went and watched for awhile..MJ Is wanting a German Shepherd (To offset the fact that I have 3 shih-tzu's, which are the foofiest, girliest dogs ever)..I'm trying to talk him into an Italian Spinone instead..lol.. I like Big dogs too, I just fell in love with Shih-tzu's, and now I'll always have one..Speaking of, the show shih-tzu's were so cute with their big top knots, and cuteness.. Speaking of Cuteness.. I took Payslee on a therapy visit Thursday in her OSU Cheerleader outfit..Its so freaking cute. Doggiedudsbydeb made it for her.. Adorable! Shes such a good little therapy dog! Always smiling and loving people.

I've been taking an amazing class at Crossings.. Actually several. I've started going to Sunday school at 10:45, after I go to the regular Service at 9:30. The Sunday School class is called "Perspectives" and its taught by one of my favorite pastors, Terry Feix.. So good.. Then he is also teaching a class called "Angels & Demons" that I went to and it was AWESOME! There is nothing better than learning from someone who is so intelligent and knowledgeable about the bible! I just loved it..I start a new one that he is teaching on Wednesday night at 6:30 called "Worrying"..and its going to be excellent too, and right now, I really need the lesson of How NOT to worry..because I seem to be doing a lot of it. Last night MJ & I went to the Melting Pot for the first time.. I had heard my friends talk about it, but I had never been. It was SOOO GOOD! We started off with a 3 cheese Wisconsin trio and dipped Bread and apples into it.. MM MM! Then we had Ceasar Salads..then they bring out the meat and you cook it at your table..and there are like 10 dipping sauces! (MJ LOVES dipping sauces).. It was great, and then the best is the dessert! We chose the "turtle Chocolate" with nuts, caramel and milk Chocolate..they melt it all up and then you dip delicious strawberries, cheesecake, marshmellows, bananas, rice crispy treats, and more all into the melty chocolate..Ahhh! It was soo good! Its a bit pricey though, so keep that in mind..but for special occasions, its awesome! MJ also surprised me with another Brighton Bracelets! Its so pretty.. I'm going to put them all on and then take pictures..

Do you ever wonder what you are supposed to be doing in your life? I'm there.. For 13 years, while I was on the radio I thought I was doing what I was supposed to be doing.. Then in March that all changed and I was forced into thinking "What ELSE am I supposed to be doing?".. Well on Sunday the pracher was preaching about how you have to TRUST God. He had the best analogy too. He put a chair on the stage and said "We all want to trust God, but most of the time we will just lean on him while we keep one foot on the floor, or we long to stand on our own two feet because we are control freaks. So many times we should just trust the lord completely (then he climbed completely onto the chair & sat down) and not stand on our own, but trust the lord to take care of us." Which makes so much sense. I like to feel like I'm in control of what I'm doing, and so many times I should just turn it over to God and trust that he will take care of it.

The Sunday school teacher also spoke about how sometimes we end up at the last place we think we should be..But that the whole time we are doing things that might be out of our comfort zone, we are learning new skills that will help us somewhere else down the road. Good to know, because I can honestly say I have no idea what I am doing in my life right now and just have to trust that it is helping me grow & teaching me skills I will need later.

There's are a lot of new opportunities coming into play for me. I'm going to try to think about what I'm supposed to be doing, and how I can make a difference. I'm excited about this weekend! For my moms birthday I got her tickets to the OSU opener against Washington Saturday. So we (along with MJ) will all head to Stilly.. My brother is tailgating so it should be fun times.

Tonight is a therapy visit in Edmond. Miss Pays is all ready! We had a great visit last week at Brighton gardens. Those folks are a hoot! We had a blast! I took Sawyer too & he was a good boy. We had 8 therapy dogs there in all shapes & sizes! So fun!

Surehopewe get some rain soon..last night I watched the CMA music fest on tv. Mom& I went to that a few years ago & had a blast.. The show was great last night,except for Kid Rock.. Why they allowed him of all people to sing 2 songs, I don't know.. Loved Blake & Trace, Alan, Justin Moore, Martina & others.. And loved Jamey Johnson, Dierks Bentley, and Miranda lambert singing "Bad Angel"..so many good country singers out right now. I miss being a part of it..

Watched "The last Exorcism" last weekend.. It's scary! But it is entertaining if you like scary movies..also watched "The Switch" and I really liked it. It's a chick flick, but a fun one! Have a great weekend!!

Well Hi.. Just got back from a therapy visit with Miss Payslee.. She had a fun time, and it is always a good visit at Canterbury..She wore an adorable little dress from http://www.doggiedudsbydeb.com/ Deb does such a great job with dog clothes, and Pays is of course a doll!

Well Bill & Leslie's wedding reception was on Saturday..MJ, Lauren, Shelly, Brandon & I all went and had a great time..I sang "Love me Tender" but of course I made it into a funny parody..I think they enjoyed it. I miss seeing Bill everyday so It was good to catch up.. Haven't really talked to Lynn much. I've called him a few times, and sent him some emails, but never really hear anything back, so I just left it..I think we are all a little 'weird' around each other now because we went from spending every day together to never seeing each other anymore..I miss them both, and I miss laughing at their stupid sayings everyday..

In the meanwhile, my parents got back from Alaska..They lost their luggage, but it got shipped to them on Tuesday. Mom was glad to be home. MJ is moving into his new house next week..I'm so excited for him. Its been something he has wanted for a long, long time and I know he will feel so happy having a place of his own..He bought some really cute stuff at Mathis brothers for his new place.

I had to take my car to Cummings in Weatherford to get a few things fixed..it has 99,000 miles on it, so it needed some work...I'm Rockin a PT Cruiser till then. Hey, I found a cool site that if you are like me and HATE being on hold, this website will actually wait on hold for you, and then CALL you back when they answer!! I know right! Awesome! Well good grief! I was reminded today that I have not written a blog in August..I can honestly say that I have officially become a “Real Job” having person..meaning that I go in for 8 hours and by the time I get home I’m uninspired to do anything else! My radio hours were always so bizarre doing the morning show that I usually was home early in the afternoons and had time to take a nap and just wake up and do whatever I wanted..but Now that I’m working ‘normal’ hours it makes doing my random “KC” things a bit harder..

This is going to be a fun weekend. Saturday is Bill & Leslie’s wedding reception. They have asked me to give a toast, and sing a song..I hope we are all still friends after I do that! Haha! Bill knows that I can’t just ‘sing’ a song.. Of course I had to make it into a Parody song! So I have taken Elvis’s version of “Love Me Tender” and made it my own..We’ll see what happens. Not sure if you all know it or not, but I would rather sing in front of 10,000 strangers as opposed to singing to 10 people I actually know.. So I’m thinking I might need some liquid courage for that..Which Leslie assured me we would have plenty of! So I’ll let you know how it goes..

My parents are in Alaska this week..Mom said its 60 degrees there. I told her I was jealous because all we have is triple digits here and no rain. How obnoxious. They are having a great time..they went zip lining, and watched the jumping Salmon, and have enjoyed the Wildlife part of everything. I feel so sorry for the guys that are painting and roofing my house. That would be miserable in this heat! They don’t start the roofing project till this weekend, but the painting is almost done. Blargh.. Yesterday I took Payslee to a therapy visit at Sterling House in Edmond. She wore a fabulous little denim overall dress with a heart on it. I’m having her seamstress Deb (doggiedudsbydeb.com) make another outfit for her with Pink Gingham..I saw it yesterday and just loved it! Yes, I’m starting to get quite ashamed of Payslee’s closet..She’s such a Fashionista!! Lol..

MJ was gone for a week to an IT conference in DC..I was glad to have him back. He leaves again in a week, then when he gets back he is moving into a new apartment! I’m very excited for him! Probably not excited enough to HELP him move..lol.. Just kidding..I’ll help, but good grief, why move in the middle of 103 degree summers! Blargh! The job is going well..Still learning stuff and trying to be helpful. I’m not sure what the plan for me will be. I’ve got a few things that are swirling around in my head.. I miss radio.. I think I should be helping the elderly..I think I should work with dogs.. who knows.. But I do know that God has a plan, and from what I’ve found so far his definition of “soon” and mine are quite different!! Lol.. So I must be patient!

I saw the latest Radio ratings.. Didn’t appear to be a good one for KKNG or JAKE. I’m not going to say anything mean, but sometimes it is nice to feel like they did make a wrong decision in letting us go. I’m thankful for it though because I know bigger things are just around the corner, but it is fun to gloat just a little bit.. I Hope you all have a great

I tell you, this new job has really been an eye opening experience. I went from being one of the smartest computer people, to now being one of the dumbest.. lol.. I miss all the listeners, and all the aspects of radio. I've been talking to some folks about possibly doing it part time on the weekends just so I'm not totally OUT of the business. Its hard to completely change professions after 13 years, and its hard to realize that a profession you once loved is slowly dying.. But I'm so blessed to have been given this opportunity at Chesapeake, and I can't wait to see what happens with it. For the past two weeks at Crossings Marty has preached about the Serenity Prayer, and I really have to be mindful of that these days.. I start over thinking stuff, and getting nervous, and second-guessing myself, and I just have to say:

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.

I have a hard time with the "ONE DAY AT A TIME".. and have to remember that its always "One day at a time sweet Jesus" and hum the song in my head a few times. I must quit worrying about things and people that I can't change, and just appreciate each day God has given me with my friends, family, dogs, and blessings.

Speaking of dogs.. One of my fellow therapy dog friends has a business called "Edmond Critter Sitter" and she comes to your house and lets your dogs out during the day, or plays with them, or takes them to their grooming appt, or whatever.. I thought it might be nice to have her come over to my house once or twice a week and let my babes out..Especially on the days that I have to work late, or can't come home at lunch..She comes to Oklahoma City too, so look her up if you might need services like that..She'll also stay in your house with your dog babes if you don't want to board them... I know right! Awesome!

popcorn day at AMC.. booya! Mom & Steve came up this weekend too, and we ate Sushi at a new place on May called "Saii".. it was delish..Then on Saturday we all got up early and went to the Farmers Market at OSU/OKC.. WE found all sorts of fresh goodness.. berries, fruit, okra, beans, corn, candles..etc.. If you haven't been to that on a Saturday morning, check it out..its delish and so awesome to shop local!

So I think the reaction to my getting a job in IT at Chesapeake has been kinda funny.. I agree that IT work is a long way from being an on air personality, but what most people don't know is that I studied Computer Science in College..In fact, I'm only 3 hours away from having a Minor in Computer Science..so listen, its not THAT far of a stretch! lol..

The job is going well..I learn some new computer lingo every day..and I learn something new everyday..which means my brain is constantly working, and I'm thinking that will keep me young and spry.. lol..NOt sure, but yeah, I'm thinking that.. People want to know what I do there, but honestly, if I told you it probably wouldn't make a lot of sense..I know it sure wouldn't have to me a month ago, but I like what I do, and I think I'm doing a pretty good job..

I'm still taking care of my hospice lady, Miss Dorothy, and still going on visits once or twice a week when I can. Its still mostly Payslee, but Sawyer goes sometimes now too. Last weekend MJ & I went to see "Inception" the new movie with Leonardo DiCaprio, and it was good..A little long, but really thought-provoking and interesting..Go see it if you have time.. Then yesterday my friend from Orlando, Chantry came to town and we had a lovely lunch visit.. He makes handbags, and clutches and for me, he made a satched for Paddy, my Ipad..How awesome is it! (pictured left)..He knows I love weird ladies on stuff, so he went with this design, and I just love it!! His website is The House of Chabanks..check out his stuff..He's fabulous.

Last night MJ & I went to eat at Olive Garden, which I loved.. Saturday night was Shelly's birthday party and we suprised her at Musashis..Good times had by all.. Hope you all are doing well too!

Flooding In Oklahoma & therapy

Wow..this Rain has been amazing..Watching that flooding in Hobart, and all around has been crazy! In fact this whole past year of Oklahoma weather has been odd..but hey, Its Oklahoma right!

Week 2 of work was very busy.. I stay busy most days.. I asked to come in to 7-4 instead of 8-5 because I'm just an early bird. I always have been since I was little, so that has been awesome..I like it so much better! I'd come in at 6 if they would let me! I still wake up around 5 each morning..But anyway, its been good. I learn something new about everyday, and found out that I had some folks who used to listen to me that I work with now, so thats been cool too..I'm making new friends, and just trying to work hard each day. Its a great place to work.

I took the dog babes to the groomer yesterday. They go to Ms. Jo's Dog grooming off 63rd, and now they are little fluff puffish angels..However, with all this rain, they stayed pretty and white for about 10 minutes..They love running outside in the evening and I take them to this big empty field and just let them be 'free' for about 30 minutes.. I let them run and play until their tongues are dragging the ground, then we go home. I took them BOTH on a therapy visit this week to visit with my hospice lady and her husband..Sawyer did really well! the Key is Payslee..If she's around, then he's brave enough to visit. I guess he figures if she likes them, he should like them to..so it was very cute..and I was proud of those little birds! The picture of them is them sitting on the bed letting George, Dorothy's husband pet them and love them..

Now to the crap news..The other day I get into my car and realize that it smells like dead carcass.. Since I don't know of any anyone putting any dead carcass into my car, I start to investigate and find that the wretched smell is coming from the trunk..I lift up the trunk bottom (where the spare is stored) and find that there is standing, rotting water in my trunk! How did it get there!! I don't know..but it was foul. So I had to get all these towels and glob the water out of there, all while it smelling wretched & foul.. So now its in the garage 'airing' out after I sprayed bleach in it.. Stupidly, I did all this after getting a spray tan, so now my tan is all jacked up and I'm going to look like I have a weird tan-skin disease..because its all blotchy..Plus I smell like carcass..So I'm going to go take care of that now, thanks,

Week 1 Job Update..

Well I got the call on Monday afternoon that I was set to work Tuesday..so Off I went! I admit, in the beginning I was a bit scared.. On Tuesday it was a lot of setting stuff up like accounts, passwords, computers, etc.. So we did that, then on Tuesday we dove in..Bill is my Boss, and we are doing really well...I'm basically just trying to help him out in anyway I can..Right now its handling emails, checking on things, and tracking stuff down..Thankfully I'm pretty good at all those things, so Its been good.. There are still a BILLION things that I don't know, but as far as week 1 goes, I'd have to say we did pretty good.. I learned a ton of things, and expect to only learn more as I go along. The Chesapeake staff is AMAZING.. so nice, so helpful, and so resourceful..I'm very excited to be working for them! Yay!

Not sure what MJ and I are going to do for the 4th of July.. Work let out early today, and I'm off Monday, so it will be a fun holiday weekend. Yesterday I took Payslee to Copperidge Assisted living for a visit last night dressed in her Red/white/Blue..Everyone loved her of course.. She was quite a charmer letting the little people hold her, and cuddle her face..She's such a sweet girl..

I went back to the Ortho Doctor today..I had to have an MRI scheduled because there is some sort of grinding in my knee..The arthritis meds aren't really helping that much, and I'm trying to avoid being on pain meds the rest of my life..So we are going to schedule that and see whats going on..Boo.

Something kinda funny; The other day I had to go take a drug test for the Chesapeake job..Well when I walked in the guy hands me my Pee cup and says "HEY, Aren't you KC Sheperd from the radio?! Man, I just love you! What happened?" So I kinda fill him in..and he proceeds to carry on.. "Well you are just the best.. so go ahead and pee in this cup..and don't flush.. Remember that time you told that joke, wowza, that had me laughing in tears".. So I go and pee in the cup, and come back out and set it on the counter.. and the guy says, "Okay..great.. Attention Everyone!! This is a celebrity, This is KC Sheperd.. Go ahead and sign your name on your pee cup, and then go ahead and sign an autograph for me".. lol.. So I did..And Yes, thats a true story..Just goes to prove that just because I'm not on the radio that ridiculous things STILL happen to me! Have a good weekend all, Happy 4th of July!!

Shelly, Whitney & I.. out on the town the other night..

Well ladies & Gents, I believe I've secured myself a job..Not sure of the start date, but it will either be MONDAY, or the following Monday after the 4th of July. I'm going to work for Chesapeake as a Contractor, which means Its not a permanant position, but a long-term contract, and its an exceptional opportunity. I'm going to work in (Are you ready for this?) the I.T. Department! Yes, I'm going to be helping people with computers.. The Irony in all this is that when I started college my Major was Computer Science, but I fell into broadcasting and just left that behind, and moved onto English..So Now I feel like I've come full circle.

So I'm excited. I had two really great interviews last week, and I've been offered two other positions, but I really feel like working for Chesapeake I will have a lot of opportunities to learn something completely knew (although not foreign to me) and look forward to learning, and meeting new people. I've been in the radio business for so long, and while its been some of the most amazing times of my life, I'm anxious to work in a place where I think my work ethic, creativity, and loyalty will be rewarded. I'm very excited about it!

Yesterday was MJ's & I's 6 month anniversary. We went to PF Changs where they have an amazing 'dinner for 2' option with a soup, appetizer, entree, and dessert.. MM MM! I had egg drop soup, Lettuce Wraps, Almond & Cashew chicken, and Carrot Cake. It was all soo good for $20! YUM! MJ had Sweet & Sour soup, Lettuce Wraps, Kung Pao chicken, and Chocolate cake..Everything was soooo good, and we had an awesome time. He's such a great guy!

Let me just say to you.. I LOVE MY IPAD. Paddy is amazing. She does so many cool things, and I've enjoyed her so much this past week! MJ Loved her so much that he went and got himself one too! He named him St. Pat, and now Patty & St. Pat are in love too..lol..Ridiculous I know!! I took Miss Payslee to the Norman Hospital yesterday for a visit..She helped patients with their Physical therapy, and had a good time..she's such a good girl!

This weekend is going to be nice..I'm having a farm party. All my friends are coming out to the farm in Canute for some farm time fun. We will probably play volleball, have some good food, drinks, and conversations.. Its going to be good.. I knew if I would just stay positive enough, be true to myself, and hang in there things would turn around..and now they are..I do want to say again, that I truly appreciate every person who has reached out to me..whether it be to pass along a job suggestion, tell me they miss me on the air, give me words of encouragment, or just tell me Hi, I really do appreciate it.. you all are really good people.. thank you!!

Things are starting to happen!

Well YAY Folks.. Things are starting to happen for Ol' Shep! Thanks to the help of some fabulous listeners, friends, and family the job prospects are starting to roll in. I went on Two interviews last week..and two this week, and got asked back for 2 second interviews. On top of those things, I have a new offer that I think will turn into something as well..So Blessings! Blsessings! And Thank you's!! I would be doing something I have never done before, but I'm excited about new opportunities. I'll keep you posted..

Last night Payslee & I went to The Fountains at Canterbury for a therapy visit..We had the best time. She loves this little lady in the picture..She visits with her, then goes and talks to other people..then she run backs and jumps on the lady's lap..its so cute. And the lady looks forward to seeing her each time she comes in..Its always fun there.

So More exciting news.. MJ surprised me with an Apple IPAD this week! Are you kidding me!! I had been wanting one for a long time and he told me that when I got a job he would get me one as my "Motivation".. but it came in early, so he just gave it to me and said he was being "Optimistic" about me getting a job soon (which I think worked!).. So here she is.. I named her "Paddy" the Ipad, and I LOVE HER!

She does amazing things..She even makes phone calls with an App called "Whisle".. And she is so pretty!! I've been playing Words with Friends, Facebooking, Tweeting, and more on her..She makes the screen giant, and I just love her..Mom gets to see her this weekend because we are going to the farm to visit..She's excited!

On a crap note, I found out I have arthritis in my right knee..and it sucks. Its been so painful that I can't sleep at night..So I went to the Ortho on WED and got some medication, so I'm hoping that will help..so far its helping a little, and the icepack helps too.. I'm hoping it gets better. If not I have to go back in 3 weeks for an MRI, because the X-Ray showed nothing so far..blargh. I'm in my 30's and I have arthritis? Can you say..LAME!! lol.. Oh well..

Oh, and I have some more great news too..I found an excellent website that has all kinds of magical things, it's called CSNStores.com. Had a great Wii-kend!

Its a nice lazy Sunday..although I'm about to saw my knee off.. I have a feeling that when I fell on my rollerblades a few weeks ago that it caused an old injury to resurface..blargh. Now its bothering me when I sleep, and I can only lay on it certain ways..I'm going to call an Orthopedic doctor tomorrow and see if I can get it figured out.

Friday night MJ took me to dinner at a place called "Manhatten".. its over off like 178th, and very good. I had stuffed chicken, and he had tilapia..Both were delish. Then we watched "From Paris with Love" with John Travolta..It was so-so..Travolta was good, but the storyline was kinda bizarre. We were going to go see the "A-Team" but I didn't feel that great so we just came home..

Last night I had everyone over to play "Wii".. we wanted to play Guitar hero and Dance Dance Revolution..We had an excellent time! Nita came over and was quite impressed with Payslee's LONG eyelashes..She does have really long eyelashes for a shih-tzu, but I just thought that was normal.. Sawyer kept laying on the dance dance revolution matt.. I guess he wanted to dance!

I made some excellent snacks, including my favorite fruit dip in which you mix marshmellow cream with Cream cheese..Ahh! Its the BEST..And I dipped some grapes & strawberries in it..Delish.

Still looking for a job. Went on the two interviews last week and should hear something from them at the end of this week..If you all know of anything, let me know..I've had several of you email me ideas, and I SOO appreciate it.. Man, I've been getting told "NO" a lot lately.. Mom says that every "NO" I get..gets me closer to a "YES"..lets hope so! I've been applying for any and every job that I think I might be qualified to do, and I'm doing everything that all my Resume books, and job coach books tell me to do..But its not resulting in any YES votes to me, so there ya go.. Okay..Now onward & Upward.. I've been working out at this new place called "KOKO FIT CLUB"..You do 30 minutes on these bionic weightlifting trainer machines, and then 15 minutes of HARD CORE cardio. I can't say what its doing so far, b/c I've only been doing it for 2 weeks.. but I'll keep you posted.

This weekend I'm having a "WII" party at my house to play Dance Dance Revolution..Bill was going to come by but he and his band have a gig..But all my regular friends will be here.. Should be good times. Tomorrow I go back to the denist, and YES..we are almost finished taking all the silver out of my mouth! I think I have 3 left..I had to have a root canal two weeks ago, but you know what, Dr. Cox is so awesome that it wasn't even painful! Booya!!

I'm VERY excited about the new Iphone..even though I can't have one for awhile..It does look amazing..MJ says when I get a job he will reward my efforts with one of those magical IPADS..How great is that guy! We watched "Splice" last weekend and it was so awful I'm not going to even go into why..but its bad..stay away..Hoping the Celtics beat the Lakers because I just don't like Kobe..Sorry Laker fans..

James Otto Concert in OKC!

Well as many of you know, I love James Otto.. and last night he did a show at the Diamond Ballroom in OKC. Thankfully I still have some friends in High places who was kind enough to give me and 3 of my friends tickets to the show! So we put on our high heels and headed out to the Diamond Ballroom to see MDO (My delicious Otto)! We went to the Meet & Greet and Whitney had never met MDO, so she was excited to see him.. Notice in the picture on the left that yes, he is still wearing the bracelet I gave him last year at the Newface Showcase! Booya!

Anyway, he started the show with a brand new song called "Are you with Me" and its awesome. He did a few new songs and he has a new CD coming out in September..So excited for that..He also did some awesome covers of Bob Seger tunes, and even an awesome cover of "Help me Make it through the Night"! So good.. The whole show was excellent!

After the show my friends and I all went and hung out on the bus for awhile. His band and tour manager are very cool so it was funtimes to just hang out and talk shop. James Otto has been one of a few artists who has been keeping in touch with me, even after I lost my job at KKNG. We talk through Twitter, and he's just an awesome guy on the inside and out..and yes, he's very delicious..I didn't get home till after 2am! At least I didn't have to get up early right!

We all had a fabulous time and it was so good to see JO again..Plus Whitney has now jumped on board as an Ottomaniac!!!! Always fun to be with Good friends, listening to good music!

Brooks & Dunn at the BOK Center!

Well We had an excellent weekend at the farm! I got quite a surprise last week when one of my former Record Reps offered me tickets to see Brooks & Dunn & Jason Aldean Friday night at the BOK Center! So mom and I went up and Saw a GREAT show! A new 16 year old Artist named Tyler Dickerson opened up the show and did an excellent job..then Jason Aldean took the stage. I'm a huge Aldean fan and he sounded great. Lots of energy and he closed his set with Kid Rock's "Cowboy" which was awesome. We were both excited to see Brooks & Dunn and even more excited when they decided to do some of their early hits! They put on a great show..but Lordy, we got home LATE....

We went ahead and drove all the way to Canute from Tulsa because MJ was already out there hanging out with Steve..but it was nice because we had the whole weekend to do fun, farm stuff.. MJ got to drive the 4x4 tractor for the first time with the Ripper on the back, and he was stoked..He had never driven a tractor..EVER..(he's a city boy)..and he thought it was incredible..Plus this is a GIANT tractor with tons of power, so he was impressed. .Mom also had him Mow with our bionic mower..It goes very fast with a zero turn radius, so he loved mowing too! We may make a farmer out of him yet! He even has a Straw Cowboy hat now! He's so cute in it..lol.. The dogs of course had a great time too..Sawyer thinks he is a border collie and runs as fast as he can to keep up.. Rally does too, but Miss Pays is smart enough to stay with Mama and just be a girl.. Sawyer dipped himself in mud, and mom squirted him with the water hose, which he thought was great fun..Then I let him take a dip in the pool with Bear, her Aussie, that likes to swim..So they all had a great time..

UNTIL..I noticed Rally limping after he had come in from running as fast as he could with the other dogs..It didn't get better so I took him to the vet yesterday and sure enough, he tore his ACL.The Vets Suggestion was to watch it for a couple of weeks..Sometimes the dog just accepts it, and it doesn't really bother them, they just walk with a slight limp..That would be the best case scenario, and what we are hoping for. He gave me some pain meds because he said in the beginning of the injury its painful, then afterward its just kind of a nusciance, but not painful to him.. The vet has said that its not something that is a dire situation..meaning its not going to cause his health to deteriorate, or his leg to fall off, or anything awful, but I still don't want him to be in pain. It won't get any 'worse' than it already is..He didn't just slightly tear it, or injure it..he Tore it into..so it can't get any worse than it is now, and I guess that is good.

The last scenario is surgery. I'm not sure that surgery would be a good option for Rally..for one he is 12 years old, and even though he is in excellent health (He just had a geriatric exam in January, and everything looked great) the surgery would make him be basically bed ridden for 4 weeks..He can't go on walks..run outside..play, etc.. and that would just BREAK HIS HEART.. Rally is a pretty active dog and his daily walks are his favorite things..Plus the surgery doesn't always work. Sometimes the dog still doesn't like using the leg and they have to put weights on it to make the dog use it..Sometimes the ACL ruptures again.. Sometimes the dog rejects the materials they put in the leg.. So I'm just hoping and praying that Rallis continues to improve. (He did better yesterday).. He was still running around on 3 legs when we left the farm! Crazy dog!

Still job hunting, but I have some amazing people helping me, so hopefully I will find something soon!

Celebrity Apprentice, Brooks & Dunn, and LOST

Well I was glad that Bret Michaels won celebrity apprentice last night.. I mean seriously, the guy has a hemmorhage, then a stroke? Yes..he needs some good news! Plus I just like the guy. I loved the 80's hairbands, and Poison was one of my fav's of all time, so I was cheering for him all along..and I'm just glad he's going to be okay. Holly did a great job too, but she didn't sing "Unskinny Bob" or "Every Rose has its Thorn".. so Yeah, I like Bret better!!

As for LOST..I was LOST all season! I watched seasons 1-4 very dilligently, but I've been a slacker for the last two..Is there two? See..Lost again..But I did watch it a bit, and I did like the ending. I thought it was pretty fitting and left it kinda 'up in the air' so that one could decide what they DID think happened..

Now as for the Brooks & Dunn special..WOW! I LOVED IT.. I'm going to add some of my fav's here..Of course I LOVED Rascal Flatts doing "Its Getting Better all the Time"

And I loved Jennifer Hudson doing "I Believe" and Reba doing "Indian Summer"..Reba just cracks me up because ONLY SHE could pull off singing the way she does..but I do love it.. I also loved Lady A's "If you see him"

And I thought Miss Taylor did a good job too with "Aint Nothin Bout You"..I am seriously going to miss Brooks & Dunn..they are an amazing group, and Ronnie is one of the best singers of all time.. I hope they do a replay of it so I can record it and save it forever.

Wow! I just sat through quite a hail storm! It hailed golf-ball sized hail for about 15 minutes..to the point that it flooded my backyard like snow..Thankfully I got my plants underneath the awning before it slapped them around, but the ones in the front will have some recovering to do. My neighbor said his roof is damaged. I rent, and nothing is leaking, so I feel like I'm good for now! Lots of fallen leaves, and beat up tree's, but I think everything else is okay.

Right now Payslee & Sawyer are in the backyard eating hail balls..lol.. they are weird little creatures. Rally hates the storms, so I gave him a doggie sedative called "Happy traveler" that is supposed to help with anxiety.. So far so good. He's been driving me batty during the storms, so I'm hoping this will help that.

Last night MJ & I went to "In the Raw" and had some delish Sushi.. Since MJ got sick on it about 3 months ago, he still hasn't been able to eat it..so I ate his share, and he had a noodle bowl. We were going to go see "Robin Hood" with Russel Crowe, but didn't get around to it, and instead rented "Daybreakers". It was pretty good too..about Vampires.

I had a really great feeling about getting a job last Monday..I really do feel like something is just around the corner for me. This morning when I went to church at Crossings the preachers sermon was about 'Getting out of your comfort Zone.' This really hit home for me, because Radio has been my comfort zone for the last 13 years.. I love it, and I always will..but I'm also excited about trying something new, and different..With 'normal' people who appreciate someone who is willing to work hard, get the job done, and make things happen.. So this week I'm going to work on cleaning my

room & my closet so I'll be ready when the new job comes calling!
Yesterday was my half/brother Grants Graduation. He graduated from OU law school, and they had bag-pipe players! How freakin cool is that! I didn't even know we had a bagpipe organization in Oklahoma..but I'm thinking they are a bit like Accordion players..while I find them very cool, maybe they are not saught after like say, guitarists..Whatever, I though they were awesome. Then we all went to Iron starr and had some Delish BBQ.. Here he is all excited about his graduation! Yay Grant! Hope everyone survived the storms!

Well we had a great Mothers day. I went home Sunday to be with my mom and took the dog babes..Couldn't do much outside..AGAIN..because of the Crappy Weather, but its always fun to be with my mom..

Friday night all my girls and I went out with Shelly. She has a friend that works at Coyote Ugly. I had never been and we had a blast. Lauren, Shelly, Paul, Whitney, Me, and Ashley took a picture in Bricktown before we left to go..We ate Sushi at "In the Raw" and it was awesome. I am on an Edamame kick right now and love eating it..

Payslee had a therapy visit last Thursday at Copperidge Retirment. She wore her Burberry Dress, and was just a cutie pie head. We like going there to visit those folks. They are all so friendly and happy to see us.

After I got back from the farm on Monday the storms set in.. Non stop Storm coverage, tornados, etc.. What a mess..So sad for the folks that had storm damage. But so awesome how our state comes together to help one another out. After the storms passed I decided to let the dog babes go outside and play since the sun was shining..I left them out there playing for about 20 minutes and when I went out to get Payslee this is what I was faced with:

YES. Payslee had put her FACE in a puddle! Someone should really tell her that she is NOT a lab..but a foofy, poofy shih-tzu girl! So today they both got baths..I doubt it will last, but at least they smell like cake for now!

Still looking for a job..but yesterday I got a feeling like one was just around the corner. I'm very excited about that fact. Its been nice to rest, and get caught up on my sleep..but I'm a good worker, and I like working, so I need to get back out there..

On a side note I saw the lastest Radio ratings. You all probably read them in the paper.. Looks like the Twister & KXY did exceptionally well, and the new station, which I enjoy very much, "The BREW" 94.7. Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers as I look for a job..I love you all!

I need to get on the horn updating this thing! Its hard to remind myself because I'm so busy.. NO. I'm not..Who am I kidding.. But really, it does seem like I'm staying very busy even though I don't have a job. There are two jobs that I applied for that I really want, so be sending positive thoughts my way that I get at least one of them..

I still appreciate getting emails from all of you, but I do feel like I should clarify something. JAKE-FM is still a Tyler media station..meaning, that if you email the folks at JAKE, they are still the same KKNG people..meaning they still dont want me. I say this because a couple of folks have been sweet enough to email me and say "KC, I just emailed that JAKE station telling them to hire you because you are the best!"..which I truly appreciate..BUT the same people who got rid of me, are the same people running that station, so they probably don't appreciate it..lol.. But I do thank you very much for caring enough about me to send the email. Some folks that KKNG sold to another company..It didn't..Just switched the format to JAKE..but all the same people are still in managment and still own the station..So thats why I'm telling you this.. But anyway, thank you..

I had a great weekend! Finally we didn't have wind.. I joined mom & Steve at the Farmers Market and picked up some plants for my flowerpots and planted them on the beautiful Saturday we had. Sawyer had a friend over, Max, a Mini-Aussie, so they had fun playing all weekend..Miss Payslee was ready for him to go home, lol.. She's such a diva dog!

MJ took me to see "Death at a Funeral" on Saturday afternoon..It was very funny. It has Chris Rock, Tracy Morgan, and some other folks..Good movie.. Then Sunday he wanted me to meet his mom for the first time. They invited me over to the house for a Crab boil, which was pretty delish! We all had a great time, and she's a very nice lady..Next weekend I'll go home for Mothers Day on Sunday..but on Friday I have a big girls night out planned with Shelly..which always proves to be entertaining!

Hi Everyone! I had a GREAT weekend..MJ & I went to the farm on Friday to hang out with my parents..We were hoping for a great weather weekend so we could take off the Pool Cover for mom..but of course on Saturday the Wind was blowing 50mph! We went ahead and took it off anyway, and were glad to help..MJ also brought a new 'Surround' sound system for them and spent most of the day trying to find a "Best Buy" in Western OK..it was hilarious..I was like "Um..All we have out here is radio shack".. lol.. He kept needing certain parts and made 3 special trips to Elk City! But in the end everything got hooked up, and they LOVED it! He's seriously the BEST boyfriend!

Saturday all my "city" friends came down.. Brandon & Amy, Whitney, & Leslie & Bill for the "Miss Red Dirt" pageant in Elk City. Mom's friends were all there too, and we were all wearing 'funny t-shirts' so thats why she's sporting a Superman shirt..lol. Its an annual pageant emceed by Pollyester Kotton (Who used to fight with Flo McQuarter on the air) and its a bunch of locals dressed up as funny ladies doing talent contests and funny stuff. It was so much fun, and hilarious. It was good to see Polly too..here's a pic.

She was ridiculous, and hilarious..It was good to see Bill too..We both miss not being on the air everyday..We all spent so much time with each other that its weird not to be laughing at each other everyday. I applied for a job on Friday that I'm really hoping I get. Its a state job, and they actually want someone with an English Degree! Woo! So keep that in your thoughts..postive..positive about that!

Well I'm still looking for a job.. I've had a billion offers to sell insurance, but they should know that I suck at sales, so I'm doing everyone a favor by saying no! I've also been approached to do some Coordinating jobs, but they don't pay much money, so I'm going to see what happens. I'm not being picky, but I'm also trying to find something I want to do every day.. I know I will probably not ever love anything like I love being on the radio, but who knows! I've never done anything else, so I may just find something magical! I will tell you this, making up new Resume's and uploading, and applying is a huge pain..So try to avoid that if you can..juss sayin.. lol.

Payslee & I have been going on a ton of therapy visits..Yesterday we went to Bradford Village and I actually got her to jump through her hoop! Yay! So that was funtimes. She was wearing the dress in the picture above..Its very cute, and made by an Oklahoma Lady. We have another visit tonight at the Bone & Joint hospital. This will be her first visit there, so I'm anxious to see how it goes. MJ is going to tag along with us and watch Miss Pays in action..

Bill's band played at the Arts Festival today..Speaking of, I'm going to try to get down to the Arts Festival before it ends..I love eating that Spinach stuff. MJ and I may try to go down there after we do our therapy visit. Sawyer's hair is finally starting to grow back, but he's still kinda odd looking.. I still love him though! I've been trying to plant some flowers around the house, and just do odd & ends stuff while I'm not working..I'm going to be honest though, not having to wake up at 3am is doing wonders for me. I did the Jackie Warner workout video the other morning and last night I seriously couldn't move! I've gotta get on it! So thats my "JOB" for now.. Love you guys!

ACM Awards & Farm Funtimes

First things first. MJ made his first trip to Canute this weekend..I took him home for some farm fun, but the weather didn't cooperate.. We did get to see some baby calves, and build a fire in the fireplace, but the wind/rain made it hard to do many outside activities. He did love seeing the farm though, and we'll go back out there next weekend when the weather is better. Mom did find 5 puppies abandonded on the side of the road. It just breaks out heart to see that. She has to find them homes. They look to be some sort of heelers, so if you have it in your heart to give one a home email me at kcsheperd@aol.com and I'll send you pics, and give you moe info..Here's a couple of pics.. They are very sweet, and have already had a hard life..They just want someone to love them. They will make great outside dogs, and would be great on a farm somewhere..Well I'm sitting here watching the ACM's, and here's my thoughts.. First off, I'm sad because I'm not going to be able to talk about it on the air tomorrow, and that baffles me.. However, I will always love Country music, even if some folks tried to ruin it for me..
Reba is awesome..I love her quirky comments (even though they are probably all written for her).. She is funny, and looks beautiful.. On a side note, I watched her in the "Gambler" this weekend on the Western Channel, and laughed my butt off! lol.. Remember that! Okay..moving on.. Just saw Clay Walker in the audience.. I did! I had an interview today for a Volunteer Coordinating position. I would be great at that, so we'll see how it goes. I think the interview went really well, and that makes me happy. I'm hoping to have more.. I'm going to go to Express Personnel tomorrow and see if they can help me out too. Nothing as far as 'radio' careers, but hey, a career at all is good! Plus, it might be time for me to do something NOT in radio.. I love radio more than anything, but at this point in my life, it just might not be possible to stay in the industry, and I need to find a job..So thats the plan for now..

Its Taco Tuesday! Which means this afternoon I will join my friends at Iguana Grill for $1 Tacos, and Tecate, and Swirls! Then we will go to Sara Sara Cupcakes for a fabulous $2 Cupcake! Its a great day on Taco Tuesday!

So I think I may have talked MJ into getting an Iphone.. He has been with Sprint forever, but his mom, me, my mom, and all his other friends have ATT, so he could switch and then talk to us whenever he wanted (like he doesn't do that now..lol) but he could do it for free.. and my fabulout friend Whitney works at the ATT store so she could help us out. I seriously still think the Iphone is the greatest invention ever.. and Now, Yes, I want the IPAD too..ridiculous..

Loved "Dancing" last night.. I thought Pamela was good, and Kate did better.. I don't think she's going to hang in much longer thought.. the Bachelor guy did pretty good too, and the Ochocinco guy.. I really like watching it this season. Also glad to see Jet & Cord survive another day on Amazing Race.. I LOVE those guys! Such great ambassadors for rodeo, and the state of Oklahoma.

I taught my final Class at Francis Tuttle last night..I'll try and teach again sometime, but I can't do much not knowing what my 'work' schedule is going to be.. Its going to be so odd working an 8-5 job.. weird.. I've been 'early morning' for so long!

Talked to Leslie last night (Bill's Fince') and he's doing a great job with the kids right now while she plans her wedding.. A CAR ran through their house last week! RIDICULOUS! Apparently the kid was texting or something, and lost control and rammed the car right through their house.. It was awful. They got it patched up, and no one was hurt, but they've been in the process of trying to get that worked on.. Scared the crap out of the kids for sure! Thankfully no one was hurt, even though they WERE home at the time.. They will still have the Vegas Wedding in July.. so he's moving on with his life too.. We are trying to just be positive, and not worry about all the Crap going on with KKNG..Onward & Upward friends! Thanks for your kind words!

Miss Payslee at Windsor Hills Nursing Home.. They loved her there..

The first one being.. The Pedi-Egg.. Its an egg that eats/scrapes the flesh off your feet.. I know this is a bizarre thought to start off with in my blog, but I just came in from Wal-greens and saw it there and I've been thinking about it since then.. Why did they have to make it an egg? Okay..moving on..

So yesterday MJ came over to take me to dinner, and he had a surprise for me.. do you know what it was? THIS>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

A COACH BAG! I know! Can you believe it! Me neither.. lol. He picked it out all by himself too! I LOVE it. Its been so nice to have a great boyfriend during all this unemployment crap.. I tell you, God sent him to me at just the right time! Then.. (yes it gets even better) he brought over "New Moon" the Twilight saga to watch! I know.. I know.. He's the BEST! So we had a great night last night.. We also went to Iron Star for supper, and man do I love that Mac & Cheese! The Food is always delicious there..

Today I took Payslee to a Health fair at Douglas High School to teach kids about Therapy dogs, and Assistance Dogs.. She had a great time, UNTIL.. They started blowing up balloons.. Thats screetching made her scared, and she started shaking.. She calmed down after a bit, but she does NOT like that sound.. I sometimes forget that she is still just a baby.. She's only a year old, so she still has a lot of sounds/things/places to get used to still..but I'm so proud of her, and she does such good things for people.. We have several visits lined up for next week.. She got a new Yellow dress made by her very own seamstress.. Debbie at Doggiedudsbydeb..

Tonight MJ is coming over and we are going to watch "Zombieland".. with Woody Harrleson.. I have my doubts, but everyone has told me it was funny.. (By the way, I loved "New Moon).. As much as I try to dislike the Twilight stuff, I just can't help myself..I'm a girl.. lol.. Tomorrow we're going to go meet Mom & Steve for Supper in Weatherford.. I went to Sams and got them some stuff, so we'll exchange.. Still no job for me.. Filled out more applications this week.. MJ & I at the "Swan Hotel" in Orlando

Well we made it back from Florida.. Flight on the way home was good. I flew Frontier, and it was a non-stop, which was awesome..I hate layovers.. So I was happy that it was one-way, non-stop.. Yay.. I also had the seat to myself, so that was even better..It takes about an hour and a half to get home, so it wasn't too bad. I'm reading a book called "The Shack" that I have been wanting to read forever..and its SO good! It is about a man who has a horrible tragedy happen to him, so The Lord asks to meet him for a weekend at "The Shack" and he gets to meet Jesus, The holy Spirit, and God.. Its pretty amazing so far. I love it.

We had a great trip in Florida, and a Great Easter! MJ went to church with me yesterday at Crossings Community church, then we came home and had a delicious Roast that I had put in the oven.. Then we took a nap, and just acted ridiculously lazy all day! We did go look at Cars (MJ likes to do that) and Miss Payslee got to go along.. She was very excited because she has never got to ride in his Giant Truck.. So she sat on the console like a good girl, and ran along beside us while we looked at Cars. She is so freakin cute! Look at her! It was very hot, so we had to stop and get her a 'to-go' water.. She had been running along, and she still has long hair, so she was happy about that.. She looks like she is a little stuffed animal! lol..

Today I am working on Resume's.. and yes, that is plural, because nowdays when you want to apply for a job, you have to tailor your resume to that specific job..so since I am able to do a bunch of things, and have done a bunch of things in radio (promotions, editing, marketing, teaching, etc) I have to do resumes for each of those things.. Florida fun for you and me..

Well My Florida trip has been AWESOME! Just what I needed to take my mind off everything else going on in my world.. The trip down here was horrendous..(long lines, spelled my name wrong..couldn't find my bag, etc)..but once I met MJ it was all smooth sailing!

We visited Disney's Animal Kingdom, Downtown, Epcot, and Magical Kingdom..although we didn't do a TON of stuff because it was incredibly humid, and MJ had meetings during the day for his conference. So we really only had Thurs & Fri to do stuff, but we fit a lot of stuff in.. We also met up with an old college friend of mine, Chantry Banks, who is now an actor/costume designer in Florida..We had breakfast and dinner, and had an awesome time catching up on each other's lives, and just hanging out. The pic above is MJ-Chantry--& Me! More pics to follow when I get home.

For dinner we all went to "House of Blues" and it was amazing.. Heard some live music too. We also managed to fit in the "Clash of the Titans" movie in 3D Imax. MJ had been wanting to see it for awhile, and we had the time..It was pretty good. I liked the Greek Mythology in it since I'm an English Major..Epcot was having their garden festival so it smelled terrific with all the blooms & blossoms! We didn't get to go through the garden because we got there too late, but it was pretty. Still some pretty long lines to stand in though..

So I'm now at the airport, headed home.. My flight leaves in a few minutes. MJ's left earlier so he's already on his way back..I heard we got hail in OK while I was gone, so I will be anxious to see what my car looks like! lol. The dog-babes have been at Camp Bow Wow, and I've been watching them on webcam a bit while I was gone.. Miss Pays is always like, "Where's my mom".. and Sawyer is always racing around and playing.. Hello Florida and Unemployment!

Last night MJ & I went to see a bizarre movie called "Repo Men" with Jude Law & Forrest Whittaker.. It was about future times when scientists have devloped 'mechanical body parts' like hearts, lungs, eyes, etc.. and they are awesome to have..until you can't make your payments on them, and then REPO men come and repossess your body parts! See..I told you it was weird..but it was good because I had never seen a movie like that before.. MJ was kinda 'out' on it.. lol.

I leave for Florida on Wednesday..Excited to be getting away from all the 'drama'.. I'm also excited to see my old friend, Chantry..He's a working actor in Florida and I'll get to spend some time with him while MJ is in his Computer conference meetings. Chantry & I have fun no matter WHERE we are, so it will be awesome.. Plus I'm excited to go to Disneyworld with MJ. He's never been, and neither have I..I've been to Disneyland, but not world, and I've never been to Florida, so its a trip of firsts for us both, and it will be awesome.

As for whats happening on the job front? Not much.. I've been applying at different places everyday..I also really appreciate all the emails about how to get health insurance. Apparently I have to wait till my former employer sends me the Cobra options before I can find out more about that..So until they send that packet, I can't do much Cobra wise..I've looked into some other insurance options, because I will have to have something in the meanwhile until they send my Cobra stuff. What a pain.. Speakin of, I guess they are now hiring two new staffs for KKNG, and JAKE FM.. Which does hurt my feelings because they told me "budget cuts" when they let me go.. but I've learned that I can't dwell on this, or think about all the what-if's.. The point is that I'm not meant to be there, and something bigger is in store, so I'm just trying to focus on that..but its still hard not to have your feelings hurt over that crap.. Bill hasn't had much luck either, and James is applying at different places. He has his bartenders license, so he thinks he might try to get a gig doing that. Yesterday my neighbor went crazy again and had a huge fit. My other (good)neighbor was edging the yard, and the street-side yard, and she came flailing out of the house screaming "GET OUTTA MY YARD PUNK"!.. Keep in mind the day before that I was rollerblading the dogs outside (no where NEAR her house) and she screamed at me "DAMN..YOU LOOK LIKE THE DAMN CHAIN GANG!".. Yeah, so she obviously has issues.. But anyway, she was hollering so loud that my neighbor finally just called the Cops.. Well imagine our surprise when the Cop gets there and the lady cop acts WORSE than my crazy neighbor! She starts yelling at us telling us we are instigating her.. I said, "She is across the street screaming at us!" and she said "Well quit talking to her!".. I said, "I'm not talking to her..I don't do crap to her, she's obviously insane" and the Cop said "Well then quit bothering her!".. So as you can see, that went no where quickly, and I just went back in my house.. I'm probably going to start looking at different places to live anyway.. Because if you call the cops, and that only makes it WORSE, that can't be a good sign right! lol.. Whats up with KKNG & KC Sheperd?

Well I'm still getting several emails a day asking me where I'm at, and what I'm doing, and why I'm not on KKNG radio anymore.. So I'll re-hash.. About two weeks ago Bill, James Ayers & I were all called into the office and told that they would be "Making changes" and we were not going to be a part of those changes. So that was that.. So for the past two weeks Bill & I have just been trying to figure out what to do, and look for jobs. We have been told that it was because of 'budget' and the 'economy'..but then we found out that they are hiring all new jocks for JAKE Fm, and KKNG, so now we know that was not the truth..Either way, you know what? We've just got to continue to be positive, and take this opportunity to realize that there is bigger and better things coming our way! No need in dwelling on it.. Yes, it is crappy, and No, I've never been LET GO from any job in my whole life, because I firmly believe in giving 100% to every job that I do, but sometimes that doensn't matter, and you just have to move on..so I'm moving on.. I've never not had a job, so I have no idea even where to begin with the search for Out-of-Work Health insurance!

Now, onto other things.. Dancing with the stars.. How in the hell Does Pam Anderson look so dang hot all the time? Yes, I realize that she is "built" and most of her is fake..but crap, when she was dancing I was just sitting there thinking that if you could put a picture of "Sexy" on a woman, it would be her.. I'm not a fan of Shannon Daughery..I think she's a tool.. But I did like watching some of the rest of them..Not sure how long Kate is going to last on there.. She's too much of a villian.. But its a good season this year!

I'm also still watching Jet & Cord McCoy on the amazing race. I'm so proud of them and the way they are representing Oklahoma and Cowboys!! They are awesome! Also watching Idol, although I'm not that passionate about any of the contenstants so far..

Yesterday Payslee & I went to the Hospital in Norman to help the patients with their physical therapy and speech therapy.. She wore her new Easter Dress, although it looked like a Princess Party dress! lol. She stands so still while the patients use their injured hands to brush her, then she lets them pick her up and give them a hug for all their hard work..She's such a good girl. Now she's been asked to go to the Bone & Joint hospital as well.. Good Girl Payslee head! She is my biscuit!!

FINALLY.. The Sun.. After that weird blizzard thing! I went out West this weekend to spend some time at the farm with the family, and they got WAY more snow out that way. The dogs had a grooming appointment, and I'm sorry to say that I'm a bad Mommy.. Sawyer had to get his hair shaved! He lookes like an oddly shaped Lion! its pretty awful..but it will be a good cut for this summer..he will probably start looking more normal in about a month or so..right now he looks like a skinned lamb! lol..

The roads weren't too bad. I went to see my dad in Sentinel on Saturday, and it was slick..but not impassible.. It was good to see that side of the family too. My parents are so freakin awesome! They made me feel a lot better about the 'Getting the Boot' situation and not having a job now. I've applied at a few 'random' places, but did not get those jobs.. I've been having some amazing listeners send me links to jobs that they think I would be good at, which I really appreciate. The nice thing is that I can do a lot of things.. Having been in small market radio, and NO BUDGET radio I've had to learn marketing, promotions, and PR all on my own to make things happen for the stations I worked at.. So I would be an asset in any of those areas, but if the companies don't "KNOW" me, it makes it harder to convince them. But I'm sure something will come up.

I've beent told by a few listeners that called the station that they were told "KC & Bill decided not to move with the new station".. Well let me be the first to tell you that is NOT true. We didn't have that option, so please don't feel like it was our choice. It wasn't. I'm not sure "who" is telling them that, but that really bothers me.

I had a heckuva day with cars yesterday! First of all on our way to church mom had the 'child locks' set in her car and we could NOT figure out how to get the doors open! Then I went and got my oil changed and somehow when I reset my "change oil" icon, I set the car into METRIC units..which made me think I was going 130 miles per hour (because it was showing in KM instead of MPH!).. ridiculous..I tell ya..I may not be on the radio anymore, but stupid things still happen to me daily!! St. Patricks Day Payslee!Well its Thursday.. I'm still sitting here.. lol.. I'm trying to just enjoy the fact that I don't have to wake up at 3am, but I'm an over acheiever, so I'm constantly thinking about jobs, and applying different places. I've applied at a few places so far, and gotten several Radio offers out of the city, but with MJ and I in such a good place in our relationship, and the fact that he has an amazing Job, I just don't really want to move.

Interesting things have been happening though.. I do appreciate all the emails, and nice words everyone has been sending me..Its funny though because people are wanting to know "WHY" and "What were they thinking" and all of that.. and how they can express their displeasure about the recent changes at KKNG.. Well I don't have most of those answers..I don't know "Why" or "What they were thinking" but I do find it amusing that 'they' would think that no one would notice or care that their favorite radio station just got re-routed, and redone! People don't usually like change, especially if its bad change..in which people lose their jobs, and lose their radio station.. So for those of you who would like to voice your displeasure you can email:
info@kkng.com and I think that will go to the appropriate "Powers that be". Then maybe they can give you some answers. As for me, I'm good..I do appreciate all the prayers, sweet cards, letters, emails, and calls..but honestly folks..This is going to be a blessing. It doesn't feel or look that way right now, but all things happen for a reason, and the Lord will take care of me. He always has, and always will.

In the Meanwhile..exciting news.. Before KKNG let me go, I had already planned a trip with MJ to Florida for the end of this month..So I'm still going to go. We leave next Wednesday. I'm also going to get to see an old friend that I went to college with, Chantry, so I'm excited about that too!

Tonight Sawyer goes on a Therapy visit..We'll see how he does.. I missed being on the air yesterday for St. Patricks day..Bill & I doing our horrible Irish/Scottish accents was one of my favorite things.. Oh, and we'd always call Ireland and see if we could get drunk people to sing to us..That was also good times.. Now we'll just have to find New good times.. I talked to Bill on Tuesday..he's doing good, and fixing some things around his house, and painting the rooms for the kids.. I'll keep you posted on him too.. Livestock show fun, and No Job.

Well its now been a week since KKNG gave me the boot.. Doesn't that feel weird to say! I've been applying at all the places I can think of, and we'll see what happens..The fun thing is that my parents have been in town at the Youth Expo watching some cattle we raised show..so for the past 2 days I've been at the fairgrounds cattle show.. We had a heifer yesterday that won her class, and another one that won Reserve Breed Champion, so that was funtimes.. Today I'm going to go watch our little Hereford show. She's too young to win much, but she is so cute!!

Last night MJ went to the stockshow..Its quite a learning experience for him! He's never been around cows before, and really never been around anything farm-related..so two days of stepping in cow-crap, and being around 2000 pound animals has been interesting for him! We've had a funtime. Then we went with my parents to eat at Charlestons.. Mom's headlight was out, so MJ is going to help her fix that.. Have I mentioned that my parents LOVE him! lol.. Thats always good right!

Tonight I'm going back to "Taco Tuesday" with some friends..We have a lot to catch up on, and since I'm unemployed, its good to save on Taco's! So that will be funtimes.. Also today Payslee & I have a therapy Visit at Bradford village. I havent decided what Miss Payslee will wear yet, but I'm sure she will be fabulous. In the Meanwhile I'm going to start organizing my closet, and things like that. I know my "new" opportunity is just around the corner, so I've got to be ready!! Well they did the 'switch' last night on 93.3. They have apparently decided to go head to head against the Twister 101.9 by playing all new music. I've not heard any jocks on the station so far, only Kevin saying the Title and Artist of each song after it plays. Ironically enough, KKNG has tried to go head to head with the Twister the past 3 years by playing more NEW music, but the Twister has always won the ratings battle. So it will be interesting to see how this is any 'different'.. So to wrap up.. Lynn Waggoner is on KKNG, now moved to 97.3 on the Dial, and went from 100,000 watt station to a 1,000 watt station..and JACK FM is now Deleted, replaced by JAKE FM on 93.3, playing Oklahoma's NEW Country.. Bill & I still will not work at any of the stations.. lol.. dang.

The parents are bringing up some heifers that we raised to show in the OKC Youth Expo this weekend at the fairgrounds, so MJ & I are going to go watch them.. He's never been to a cattle show before, so this could be wildly exciting! lol..

Uh oh.. Seems Miss Payslee thinks MJ is "HER" Boyfriend!!

Well dinner with Bill was good..he's keeping his options open too on the job front. We are both looking at all of the ideas/jobs being suggested to us. Neither of us really WANT to get out of radio, but we may not have much choice. It seems the radio business is kinda in a slump right now, and we can't really wait for it to come back up..So I've been applying at other places. Hopefully something will come up soon. I'm not the kind of person who can just 'sit at home' and wait for things to happen..I'm more of the type that MAKES things happen, so I'm hoping this little 'fire-cation' will be short lived! lol..

I just want to say thank you to all the folks that have been emailing me and offering such kind, uplifting words. You guys are the best. I was so shocked at the changes they decided to make at KKNG, and it just really hurt my feelings. Its not that I don't think I can't find another job, but I had so many good friends there, and even though Lynn, Bill & I were a 'dysfunctional family'.. we were a family none-the-less..So I feel like I've lost part of my family. But I know when one door closes God opens a window, and he will take care of me, and take me into a new direction. I just wanted to say thank you though, because I've received so many nice comments, letters, emails, and sweet words from everyone..I want you to know that I read everyone of them, and they are all special to me, because in times like this, its nice to know that you have an awesome group of folks in your corner cheering you on!

Mom came into town yesterday and we have been running all over OKC pampering ourselves. Yesterday we got pedicures, and massages at the mall..Then we got our eyebrows "threaded"..Have you ever done that? Its BIZARRE. They somehow pluck/shape your eyebrows with a piece of string..weird, but oddly effective! Then last night it was back to Iguana grill downown for some delish Mexican food, and then MJ took Mom and I to the Sara Sara Cupcake house for cupcakes.. *By the way..MJ is awesome, and being so helpful during this crappy time.. lol..

Today was mall day and we found some awesome, cute, outfits at the mall, and we went to SEPHORA!! Yay! I just can't go to Sephora without being jolly.. so I was all smiles! Its amazing what a new lipgloss can do for you.. lol.. So its been so much fun. And it will continue. Tomorrow My dad is coming up here with some of the cattle we raised to show in the OKC Livestock show, including a cutie pie Hereford Heifer! I can't wait to see her! I've invited all the friends out to see her, and love on her.. Herefords are so sweet..so I'm pretty excited. I just got back from taking the dog-babes to their field to run and play.. Finally a nice day with sunshine!

So I've realized that for the past 13 years in doing morning radio I miss the sun shine coming up..So if there is a silver lining, I suppose that would be it. I also went to have drinks/dinner with some good friends on Tuesday at the Iguana grill downtown..MM MM! It was Taco Tuesday so we had these fabulous little mini-tacos.. They were delish.. Then When we went outside Whitney & I noticed that we were right next door to the 'Sara Sara Cupcake house'.. OH MY GOSH..Those cupcakes are magical! It was also $2 Tuesday there, so I got 6 magical cupcakes..Strawberry, Crimson and Creme, Coconut Creme, Carrot cake, and vanilla.. I just had the Strawberry one, and I tell ya, if anything can make you feel better about getting canned at your job..that strawberry cupcake is it! It was so good!

Tonight I'm going to go have dinner with Bill & Leslie (Bill's Finance') and see if Bill is having any luck with the job front. Since we were both so caught off guard, we didn't even have our Resume updated! I've been doing that, and I've applied at several places already. But everyone keeps asking me if I'm going to another radio station.. Well I suppose that will be up to the other stations! lol.. Right now the radio business is just in an ugly place..I hope it turns around, because after being on the radio for 13 years, I just cannot imagine not being on the air..But I may have to have to get out for awhile. I'm looking at some part-time stuff with a few people, and I'm just keeping my options open. I'm sure Bill is doing the same..but I'll give you all an update on him too. Bill & I will always be friends, and he is still planning on getting married in July.

In the meanwhile I went back to see Dr. Cox yesterday and got 3 more silver fillings replaced..so we're at least making a dent in it! My mom is coming up this weekend, and I'm excited to see her.. Today I gave Miss Payslee a bath, because we have a therapy visit tonight at Sterling House. Her OSU cheerleader outfit came in, and its just adorable! She also got another cute Easter Dress in.. Day one of the Job Search..

Well this is a whole new world to me. I've never been 'let go' from anything in my life, so I'm really kinda wondering what the heck to do! I woke up early this morning and re-did my resume, and I'm going to work on an aircheck later this afternoon. Its quite a process. I'm going back to the dentist tomorrow because I won't be able to keep my benefits forever, and need to get as much done as I can..so we'll see what we can accomplish. So thats what we're doing today folks! Its so pretty outside though, and later I'm going to go grab a drink with some of my friends! Woo hoo!

Lorrie Morgan, Pam Tillis, Birthday fun!

I had an excellent weekend! Friday night Lauren, Amy, Brandon, Bill, & Leslie went to see Lorrie Morgan & Pam Tillis at the Firelake Casino. They looked and sounded amazing. They are both SO cute! Pam Tillis got a new haircut and its just adorable on her. They sang most of their hits. My favorite was Lorrie singing "Good as I was to you" and "Something in Red".. and Pam singing "All the Good ones are Gone" and "Spilled Perfume".. They also did a tribute to their dads, and then sang "Silver Wings" together..their Encore was a little Beatles Medley..It was an excellent show..until these two ladies in front of me "Shusshed" me.. I was telling Lauren about Pam Tillis being in a car wreck and they turned around and shusshed me..Which yes, irritated me..but not as bad as when, 2 seconds later, they ANSWERED THEIR CELL PHONE AND BEGAN TALKING!! Seriously?!?! You're going to Shussh Me and then Answer your phone and talk! What a joke.. So yes, that was quite irritating..Other than that though..Great show! Saturday was Brandon's Birthday party so MJ and I went over there to surprise him. He had no idea we were coming over so he was all jolly about that..and the fact that I took him a Horsehead Cookie Cake.. I Mean who doesn't love cakes with a horsehead on them! So that was funtimes..

Yesterday MJ & I grilled some delicious Cusack Steaks outside..I decided to add some Gargonzola cheese and sautee'd mushrooms..HOLY MAGOLI it was delcious! Then we watched the Oscars. I was glad Monique won.. She played a very DARK role in "Precious" and it was well-deserved.. Also glad Sandra Bullock won..I loved "The Blind Side".. Speakin of movies..I went to see "Alice in Wonderland" in 3D IMAX and it was AMAZING! For those of you scared that its going to ruin the cartoon for you, it doesn't..It actually plays off that quite a bit, and the 3D stuff is just amazing..I LOVED Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter and The Queen of Hearts was really good too..So many colorful characters to look at..It was very good..But I think you will lose a little of the magic if you don't see it in 3D..

Payslee & Sawyer are Best friends.. awww..

So yesterday I went back to the dentist..Its quite a process I'm going through just so you know.. lol.. I found out a few months ago that there were silver fillings in my mouth that had been there since I was 6 years old..Now for some bizarre reason I was thinking that those fillings would last forever.. I was wrong. Dr. Cox took pics of my teeth and those fillings were the most nasty, gross things I had seen in awhile! They were also causing more tooth decay because they were leaking all over the place.. So we decided to give my mouth an overhaul and get new, nice fillings in my mouth.. I got to the dentist just in time before I had really done some damage..so thats the good news.. the bad news? We have 16 fillings to replace! Geesh! My mouth is crap! lol.. Thanks crappy genetics! hahahaha! Sorry mom.. Okay, so anyway.. We have now replaced 4 out of the 16. We were supposed to do 3 yesterday but one was so giant that after 2 hours of working on it we decided to call it a day.. The good news is that its not NEARLY as terrible as I thought it would be. Its a process..but its painless.. and of course I love laughing gas, so there ya go.. Its a good thing I really like Dr. Cox, because I'm going to be spending a LOT of time with him over the next few months!!

MJ & I went to the Auto show last night.. Lots of neat cars out there.. I liked a bunch of them, but I can't remember the names of most of them! I do know that I loved a Black 4-Runner, and a Mercedes! Tonight I'm going on a therapy visit to Sterling House with Miss Payslee.. I think she's going to wear her Polka Dot Dress..Yes, I'm aware that dressing up my dogs is a bit ridiculous..but I tell ya..it sure does bring a smile to the little ladies faces!

Miss Dorothy, Idol, and Dentist Fun!

So Yesterday I got the clearance to be able to drive My little Hospice lady, Miss Dorothy to visit her husband George at the Nursing home. I got Payslee all dolled up in her Orange Gingham dress and we went to pick up Dorothy..Well how cute that she was also dressed in Orange! So she and Miss Pays matched.. We had a great visit. Miss Dorothy & George have been married for 64 years this year. She is 86 and he's 89. She still gets all dolled up to go see him everytime. Its so cute. Yesterday she had on Orange from head to toe! Orange heels..Orange Purse.. Orange pants..Orange Coat..Orange Jewlery and topped it off with Orange Lipstick!! She's such a neat lady. Here's a

picture of them.. George seems to be doing well too..and he's the sweetest guy ever. His eyes light up everytime he see's her.. They are an inspiration to me!

I took Miss Payslee outside for a bit to Pose her.
Its always hard to take pics of the color of Payslee's eyes. Her eyes are gold because she is a "Liver" shih-tzu. A Liver means that her pigment is pink..Most Shih-tzu's have a black nose, and dark eyes..but Pays has gold eyes and a pink nose..with Pink Paw Pads, and Pink around her eyes as opposed to dark. Sawyer is a regular tzu with the dark eyes and nose.. Payslee had a great time visiting with the folks yesterday..she's quite a charmer! She always lets people smootch her right in the face if they want to do it!

Today I go back to the Dentist..More silver outta my mouth.. Its not a painful process, but it is time-consuming..Why? Because everyone of my teeth is filled with Silver! Dr. Cox has quite a mission on his hands with my mouth! But I think today we will take more out of the bottom and then just keep trucking along! I always take the laughing gas because I get kinda nervous. So when I get there they just start me on the laughing gas, hand me my headphones.. and away I go! lol.. I'm honestly happy that I'm getting it done. After I saw pic's of how bad my silver fillings looked I knew I needed to get them OUT of my mouth..

The Stalker..

Well if you missed the show this morning, I was talking about this idiot that won't leave me alone. Most of you know that I have a magical boyfriend "MJ"..but I haven't told you the story about how we met. Its a bizarre situation because when I first me MJ I was actually on a date with someone else. Lets call him "Dave"..

Well I had invited Dave and a bunch of my other friends over for a little WII party..Well apparently My friend Amy had other plans and invited MJ over as well thinking that we would hit it off.. Of course this irritated Dave very much and he pretty much threw a fit about the whole thing..saying that I should have thrown Amy & MJ out of my house.. I thought this was stupid because its not like I was married to this guy, or even in a relationship with him! Now I realize that it wasn't the most polite thing of Amy to actually Invite another guy to my house when I was on a date with someone else, and I told Dave that I was sorry about that..but he wouldn't listen and kept throwing a hissy. So at that point I realized that I did NOT want to see Dave anymore, so I tried to be polite and say "Listen, I'm not really interested in a relationship right now"...So then I end up going out on a date with MJ..We hit it off and we've been together since then. Well DAVE was a friend on my facebook and after he saw that I was in a relationship with MJ he kept sending me crappy Instant Messages so I deleted him off my Facebook thinking that would send him a sign that I wanted him to LEAVE ME ALONE.. Well It didn't..

Last week he sends me a list of crappy text messages that go something like this:

Him: Went ta send you a message and see where you deleted me from facebook. Whats up with that? Can't we be friends still?

ME: Um well that wasn't really working out.

HIM:Wow Whatever

ME: Exactly.

HIM: Intriguing if you ask me..but its whatever.

ME:You were being a butt about MJ. YOu had crappy, smart elic comments. So I didn't need you reading my status updates or making rude comments. Simple as that.

HIM: Shouldn't be deceitful and day you are not ready for a relationship, but thats neither here nor there. Thought you were adult enough to be friends. But I guess not.

ME: I didn't want to be rude by saying I just didn't want to date YOU..but I guess I should have, since thats what I meant.

HIM: Yea cause you liked and thats not only wrong but its rude. But thats your choice and in the past. As far as smartelic comments, being lied to will do that.

ME: Well Now I"m going to be rude again and tell you to lose my number and please leave me alone.

HIM: Good luck and grow up. Glad your friends control who you hang out with.

ME: ME TOO! Because they obviously have immaculate taste! I'm the happiest I've ever been and completely in love with MJ! So thank you Amy!

HIM: Good for you. Guess Bi***y people like you and her find people to put up with your arrogance!

So at that point I just quit texting. Its apparent that he wants to have the last word and it just being an idiot, so I leave it at that.. But I got a bunch of great advice today from the listeners today! Thank you all for that..Here's a few suggestions

*IGNORE HIM---> Yes! Very good advice and I'm going to do this.

*Hit him with a Skillet---> Umm..Not sure that would help, and might get me arrested..but good idea none the less.. lol.

*BLOCK him from your phone---> Another excellent one..Looking into this as well

*LET ME WHIP HIS BUTT----Love the fact that my listeners will come to my defense!

*Give him the # to a good therapist----> YES! He obviously needs some help if he is this obessed with me after ONE date.

So as you can see..once again the KKNG listeners have come through for me in my love life! I appreciate you all! Hopefully this will get him to leave me alone!!

The Olympics are over and Blake Shelton!

Did you hear Blake Shelton on the air with us this morning? He's funny and awesome..and for some reason I told him he had a good Head on him? WHY WOULD I DO THAT???? I'm an idiot..so So far I've told the Mountain Man from the Oak Ridge Boys that he looked "Very Mountainish" and now I've told Blake Shelton he has a good HEAD on him! I had a good weekend..Didn't do much on Friday. Went to the sales at KOHL's and took the dog babes Rollerblading. Then Saturday MJ took me to a place in Norman called "Victoria's" to eat some delicious Italian Food. It was awesome! I had me some spinach Tortellini and it was excellent. Then we went home and watched some of this series we had recorded called "World War II in HD" on the History channel. There is a former soldier on there from Oklahoma that played for Coach Iba in Stillwater..and its just facinating to listen to. VERY good series!

Yesterday MJ and I went to an Open house in Yukon..Not to buy a house..but just to kinda look. I've been throwing away money in Rent up here for 3 years now, so it might be a more practical choice for me to buy a house. Speaking of..I got all the leather furniture polished and good to go. Got it rearranged the way I wanted it.. Spent last night on the new couch watching Jet & Cord McCoy on the Amazing Race..They are cracking me up. Jet & I had a class together at Swosu, so I'm enjoying cheering our Oklahoma boys on and hoping they take home more prizes!

Payslee's little Pink dress from Last Year..

Well its the last weekend of the Olympics. I've actually been watching quite a bit of it..but I'm also glad its almost over. I can't watch endless hours of Hockey on TV..I love hockey LIVE and in person, but not as fun to watch on TV. I've also liked watching the ski-jump events, and the skating stuff..But I'm also looking forward to some new shows coming back on TV.

Last night was crazy..Mom came up in a furniture truck to shop at "Lynn Waggoners House of Used Furniture".. She actually HAD a Furniture truck! So We loaded up Lynn's garage full of stuff..and then his storage room too! Mom had brought me a couch and chair, and it was HUGE so MJ ended up having to take off the dang door to get it in the house..Our arms are sore today from moving! We were going to go to Canute this weekend, but MJ ended up having to go to Tulsa tomorrow to help his mom, so we'll go next weekend for sure. While he's in Tulsa I think I will go to the Movies and watch "From Paris with Love" which is the new John Travolta movie..mmm mmm Popcorn!

In the meanwhile I'm SICK of Winter.. It seems like its never ending this year! You all have a good weekend..I'll post furniture pics after I get it all set up!

So have you been watching the Olympics? I watch it when nothing else is on..like during the day mostly.. Last night I watched "American Idol" and I think some of the girls are pretty good this year..Tonight I'll watch the guys..

MJ has been sick for two days..We went to eat Sushi on Sunday night after watching "Shutter Island" and he decided he would order a sushi roll called "Lucifer's Folly"...Well apparently that is exactly what it was because he has been sick with stomach type stuff for two days..He is finally better today after feasting on Popcicles..lol..

Tomorrow our friend Joel is going to do some stand-up at the Speak Easy on Western..My friends and I are going to go..should be goodtimes..Last night I went and had Strawberry Margaritas with my Friend Whitney..They were delish..However, I was delivered some bad news yesterday..James Otto is having a baby with his wife! Blargh..What a ruiner..The only way I'll ever forgive him for this is if he names the child KC..Then I could love him again..but not until then.. I mean we all know how babies are made and I really don't want to think of MDO that way.. So I'm pretty irritated about it.. I'm also irritated because yesterday when I went to my gym I found out that it had 'merged' with another gym..Well suddenly all the Normal, slightly over weight people that I USED to work out with were replaced with Studly, muscled up, body builder model people.. How the hell did that happen? It made me feel selfconscious when I could only lift 10 pound weights on the arm machines! I felt like they were laughing at my sad, pathetic attempt at working out!! Dang it.. Oh well.. Maybe I'll work out to the point that my arms are bionic..then I will use my arms to show them specific gestures.. lol.. Have a good one folks!

Excellent Weekend fun

I had an amazing weekend folks..Friday night I went out and had drinks with my friend Whitney..Then we went to see "The Wolfman".. I cannot say that the movie was very good..It was just a bit ridiculous to me..but we had a good time hanging out. Saturday she had to go to Dallas so I volunteered to keep her Mini Aussie, Max..She brought him over and Sawyer instantly hugged him right in the face..Thankfully Max liked this..lol. .It was too cute. Miss Payslee was OUT for awhile.. She just sat up on her perch like "Don't talk to me".. but she came around later and began to play..Rally liked him too..Max had a good visit..Here they all are relaxing on my bed..He was a very good boy..they all were!

Saturday was the "BIG DAY".. Mom had been wanting to meet MJ so we scheduled a trip to Weatherford..I actually went up early with Bill & Leslie to look at engagement rings for Leslie..(Bill is getting married July 11).. We ended up finding a very pretty ring, and Leslie loved it..Then afterward we went to another friends house who served us up some delicious Chocolate Martinis! MM MM! Then it was off to the T-bone to meet Mom & Steve..

They ended up loving MJ..Which I knew they would..and Steve's comment about him was the funniest thing at all..After we left mom texted me and said, "Steve really liked MJ..He said He wasn't a smartass or a dumbass".. lol.. So there ya go! He liked them too..Of course I knew he would because my family is pretty much the bomb.. lol.. I think we may go back out there this weekend to meet the 'other' parts of my family..Kirby & Joni.. I have the weekend off for the first time in awhile so I think it would be a good time to go out there and visit..Plus the dog babes need to go visit their mobile groomer out there..This rain is making them look homeless! But this is a cute picture of Miss Payslee pretending to be a Pillow..

Chaka Weekend fun..

This is a Picture of Miss Payslee and her friends at Bradford Village.. Just so you know, she will have a St. Patricks Day dress too.. I tried it on her yesterday..I bought it last year but Miss Pays has not really grown much since she was 6 months old..so it still fit perfectly! She will be a little leprechaun!

So Last night I was at the Riverwind doing a broadcast. They have some really good shows coming up.. Josh Turner, Diamond Rio, Mel Tillis, Joe Nichols, Queen.. and more.. Then I found out that Lorrie Morgan & Pam Tillis will be in concert at the Firelake Casino. I'm a huge Lorrie Morgan fan, So that will be an awesome show..Very excited about that one.

Tonight I'm going to go hang out with my friends..I think we may try to go see "Shutter Island" with Leonardo Dicaprio..It looks REALLY good..Either that or "The Wolfman" with Anthony Hopkins..I Freakin Love going to the Movies! Last night I watched the new Grey's Anatomy.. Loved it.. Been watching Idol too, and plan on wathing the Amazing Race on Saturday because Cord & Jet McCoy are on there..and I went to school with Jet at Southwestern. We had a Sci-Fi class together..so of course I have to cheer for them! Sawyer missed his therapy visit last night because I was at the Riverwind..Poor little man may never get to go on a visit again..lol..

Saturday I'm going with Bill's girlfriend Leslie to Weatherford.. She wants to go look at Engagement rings at Kelley's in Weatherford. YES! Bill is getting married..They think it will be in July sometime in Vegas..so I'm going to go look at rings with her and then have some delish Chocolate Martini's while playing a little Dance Dance Revolution! Should be funtimes.. After that MJ is coming to Weatherford with Brandon & Amy and we are all going to meet my parents for Dinner.. Wish MJ luck as this will be his first encounter with my parents..However, they are pretty fabulous so I think it will be good..

Dental, tire, wheel rim Fun!

So yesterday I decided to roll the dice and drive on my sad doughnut tire to see my dentist, Dr. Cox in Newcastle..If I didn't go I would have had to drive all the way North to get the tire..then all the way back South to the dentist..Thankfully I made it..We were able to do two tooth build-ups yesterday. We were going to try to take out 3 silver fillings..but only got to two, because the two teeth we were working on were so bad. So we built them up with giant white fillings..took out all the silver and decay and then they will eventually get crowns put on them. They already feel better though, because that silver was leaking and causing my back teeth to be INSANELY sensitive! So they already feel better this morning..Excellent..

After the dentist I headed back North to get my tire changed..Only to find out that my rim had a crack in it..Well they won't put a new tire on a broken Rim..So I had to chase down a new rim somehow..Thankfully we found one at Bob Howard, and MJ was sweet enough to drive me back and fourth to get the new tire and the new rim..He's magical. I finally got the new tire and rim put back on my car about 5:45 then went to teach my class at 6:00..However I can proudly say that I am DONE worrying about car type issues..That will be in MJ's Control.. Apparently its not in your best interest to buy tires from an oil change place, and I probably got hosed..so I'm washing my hands of car-care needs at this juncture! Hooray for me!

Today is another busy day..Payslee & I have a therapy Visit at Bradford Village. I was supposed to sing, but I doubt I will make it through too many songs because My Jaw is sore from keeping it open yesterday..I may sing a couple of songs though and then Let Miss Payslee entertain the residents with her cuteness!

Flat tire..deflates my Valentines day..

Well I had a fun weekend..Friday night Lynn & I went to the 'Affair of the Heart' to introduce new MCA Recording Artist "Mallory Hope"..She was doing a special show for the vendors and a few of our KING Listeners. She did a great job, and they had some magical desserts like Chocolate Molten Lava cake..carrot Cake..lemon drops..etc.. It was all delish.

Then Saturday I had an Awesome Valentines Day with MJ. He had reservations at Mahagony, but it was going to be late, and I was uninspired to go..so instead he brought over Sushi from Kangs. MM MM! It was delish..Here's a picture of one of my Valentines..

Yesterday, however was not a GREAT day.. I went out to my car to get something for church to find that I had yet ANOTHER flat tire..So I called Triple A and they got there in about 20 minutes which was awesome. They put on my sad little doughnut spare. I thought I would be able to go over to the tire shop and get the new tire put on, but they were not Open..so this morning I had to drive all the way North going 50 mph on the sad doughnut tire. Thankfully not many people on the roadway at 4 am..but there will be when I head back NORTH to get the tire replaced. The other sucky thing is that my tires are odd shaped, So they always have to order the tire..so I'm hoping they can get it today..I'm already tired of driving on the doughnut. I'm not meant to drive 50 mph..Juss saying.. Plus for some reason my tires are "High performance" tires..which means they are $200 a piece..Blargh. Happy Valentines Day to me! MJ also had to spend the whole day in Tulsa trying to help get his grandmothers house sold..so I didn't get to see him yesterday..The good news? I did make it to church and Pastor Marty had an excellent message..He always does such a good job with his sermons.

The Dog babes and I finally got some rollerblading in this weekend..Nice on Friday & Saturday..or nice enough to rollerblade..which makes Miss Payslee happy.. and When Payslee is sleepy..KC is happy!

Valentine Magic

Happy Valentines Weekend! Yesterday Payslee & I went to visit the residents at Sterling House on Sante Fe..She was wearing her Valentine dress from http://www.doggiedudsbydeb.com/ and of course a matching bow. She was feeling pretty sassy and kept letting me pose her all over while we waited on the folks to finish dinner..Then we handed out little Valentines with Payslee's face on them to the residents..They were very cute. Last night Payslee went with her friend, Fudge, the Chocolate Lab who is quite a bit bigger than she is! They had a good time.

It Didn't snow much on the North Side yesterday..Happy about that..I'm pretty much TIRED of Winter at this point..Not even really motivated to watch the WINTER Olympics! It will be nice when it dries up a bit and Sawyer can no longer put his face in the mudholes in the back yard..

Well today begins the Valentines Weekend.. I think MJ and I are going to watch "Wolfman" tonight..I've wanted to see if for awhile..but I'm thinking the Movie Theatres are going to be slam packed this weekend. Not really sure what our other Valentine plans are at this point..but I think Mom is coming up Sunday or Monday to pick up her furniture from "Lynn Waggoners House of Bargains".. lol..I'm getting a new leather chair too..So glad that Lynn got married so I can have his magical hand-me-downs! For those of you sending Roses for V-day!

Hospital Visits & Fun

Yesterday Miss Payslee had a visit with her friend, Mollie the Golden Doodle at the Hospital in Norman. We take them there to help the patients with their physical therapy. It was so sweet when this lady was holding Payslee and said to me, "I've been here for 3 weeks and this has been my best day".. Aww! How Sweet is that..and Miss Pays just loves it too! She was smiling the WHOLE time yesterday. I had her in her cute Heart dress with matching Pink Bow..and everyone keep oooing and awwwing over her.. She did all her tricks including her "Oprah" trick..where I get the camera out and say "Smile like Oprah" and she opens her mouth and smiles (like she is doing in the picture).. She is such a good girl. I also took her by to see her Breeder..She had not seen Miss Pays in awhile, and she took a million pics of her..

So James Otto has a new song!! Its called "Groovy Little Sumer Song" and you can hear it on ITUNES. Its freakin awesome, and I'm quite certain you will like it.. He's supposed to release a new cd a little bit later this year..Very excited about that! Also excited about Lady Antabellum and Tim McGraw scheduling a concert at the Zoo Amp..Its coming up on June 13th I believe..Should be goodtimes..
