Pat Green rain filled fun! & Pictures..

To see the rest of them: http://www.youtube.com/user/kcshep1515

If you took a picture with Pat Green. You can find them HERE.

Look how cute this is!!

The Pat Green show was awesome yesterday! He did a little question and answer session, sang some songs, signed some autographs, and took some pictures. He was a really nice, normal guy! We had about 50 people there to watch, and had a good lunch. It was, however, impossible to stay cute with the rain pouring down and me having to walk across the street from parking..so such is life.. Thanks to everyone who joined us, we all had a great time. I enjoyed all the nice folks sitting at my table..Lynn kept telling them lies, but it was quite entertaining!! lol..

After I got home I made plans to meet Lauren at Buddah Tao for a little Pre-church Sushi.. It was delish..Then we went to our "Networking" Class at Crossings..

Other than that yesterday the only thing I did yesterday was let the dogs outside to play..Well imagine my surprise when I let them back in and they were COVERED in Dirt and filth..Now remember, I just took them to the groomers last SATURDAY..and this is how they reward me? They look awful! Payslee came in with a Red Beard! So Now I'm calling her Payslee Red Beard! And Sawyer decided to play and frolic in the left-over plant water and came in soaking wet with mud all over him!! ARGGGH! I'd give them a bath..but what good would that do? Its just going to rain more today!! Naughty biscuit babies!! Look at their happy faces though!

HAHAHA! Mama! Look at us!!

20 Gifts under $20

Mothers day is just around the corner, and if you are looking for some great gifts for mom that won't break the bank..check out These Juicy little items! Some great ideas there for Mom. I've got a good one too...but since my mom reads this blog, I would be foolish to post it here!

Tonight is my 'Networking' class at church. Its about discovering your God given talents.. I'm hoping that 'radio' is one of my talents, or I'm in the wrong business! I spoke to a woman yesterday who has http://www.traineddogs.org/ and teaches dogs to work with special needs people. She is going to take the 3 Cairn terriers that were left in the country, abandoned, when their people moved away. They are so cute too! I can't believe people would do that to little helpless dogs. All the local farmers and my mom have been stopping by to feed them. Saturday mom and I went over there and dropped 'Advantix' down their back to help them with the fleas, and ticks.. Now the lovely Barbara is going to take them and rehabilitate them. They will be so happy to find someone to love them again. People who abandon dogs irritate me..and of course people who are mean to animals in general.

Today is Pat Green day. I still haven't heard if my Delicious Randy Houser is coming along.. Details, and pics tomorrow!

Randy Houser time..

So one of my favorite guys, Randy Houser..May or may NOT be here tomorrow, but either way I'm excited. He's actually opening for Pat Green in Stillwater at the Testicle Festival. However, Pat Green is doing a special show for some of our KING listeners tomorrow, and Randy MAY..or MAY NOT show up to that..I'm hoping that he does. If you have not had the chance to hear the Randy Houser CD, you should go get it..ITs fabulous!! And so is he..and he giggles, and that makes me very happy..So love him, listen to him, lick him.. Okay, so maybe not the latter, because that might be creepy..but you know..

Yesterday it was raining on me pretty hard by the time I got home from work around 2pm, then it turned cold. I can't sleep with the windows open because I'm scared killers will come in. But I kept the back door open and let the dog-babes play outside so it was a nice cool night. We went and walked, but it was chilly! Today mom is coming up with one of her friends, so I think we'll go have lunch.

Hail of a Monday..

Well I had a very intresting weekend to say the least. Friday I took the babies to the vet in Weatherford. They had to get a bordatella shot, and Pays had a weird sore on her head..Turns out the sore was nothing more than a scab where her top-knot goes, so its all good. They didn't even cry from their shots. They were big people.. Sawyer now weighs 10lbs, and Payslee is at 6.3.

The babes also went to the groomers over the weekend. I had no idea Sawyer was so colorful under all that hair! I'm still letting their face-hair grow out, so thats why his face looks giant..but look at my pretty boy! Payslee got a new orange dress...she likes to show off.

Then on Saturday mom had a "White Trash Party Pageant" event for us to go to at the Elk City Civic center. The Dress was bizarre..Some people were dressed as hillbillies, some as white trash, some as queens, some as rednecks..I dressed up as a white-trash gang member. It was pretty bizarre...I had an ugly t-shirt on with 3 tear-drops on my eyes, tattoos, and my shirt read "Talk ____ Get hit" on the back! hahahaa! The sad thing, is that I actually stole that idea from an ACTUAL t-shirt that I saw in a bar in Canute.. lol..So we went to that..It was also the "Mrs. Red Dirt Pageant" which was a spoof pageant..Very funny stuff. Here's our group shot..

Then on my way home from that I ran into Severe Weather..and by severe I mean GIANT hail coming at me..I seriously thought it was going to come through my windshield! I got home to find the electricity off, and the dog-babies wondering what was going on! The ground was covered, so I took the babes outside to the bathroom and they started eating the hail! I guess they wanted an icy snack! Look at this hail!

My little dogs don't get scared during storms. I think its a shih-tzu thing..they are always just so happy and relaxed that not much bothers them. However, Rally is a big baby. He has to go into the closet, or you have to squeeze him by you or he will cry and get scared. However, He is not NEARLY as big a baby as my mom's dog Junior. When I got home Saturday evening the dogs were by themselves, and Junior had went a little nutzy. He threw all the stuff out of the closet in the laundry room and wedged himself in there! Look at that big baby!
So as you can see, I had a fun-filled weekend! This Wednesday we'll be hanging out with Pat Green. Keep listening to win your VIP ticket.. Have a great week!

Friday with Hank Williams Jr.

So this morning we interviewed Bocephus..Wow..He's a little out there, but it was a fun interview. He' s something else.. lol..

I went to my new church on Wednesday night. I signed up for another class that starts on next WED, so I'm excited about that. I won't be in church there this Sunday though, because the dog-babes and I are headed West to the farm. Mom has us going to some event on Saturday where we have to dress like White Trash..That should be entertaining! I have no idea what I'm going to be wearingn to that, but it will be fun.

Payslee has a weird sore on her head. I have no idea where she got it..She & Sawyer go to the vet today anyway to get their second Bordatella shot today anyway so I'll have Dr. Hoffman look at it today when they go. I also noticed that Rally's eyes seem to be a little cloudy. He is 10 years old, so that might be possible. It doesn't stop him from seeing or anything..just a sign of old age. I took all three of them to visit Miss Dorothy this week, my hospice lady I visit. Her birthday was Saturday and she enjoyed seeing them. Payslee just loves her. On May 2 I'm going to take RAlly to get AKC Therapy certified. I hope he can pass the test, but I think he can. We'll find out soon enough. Speaking of pets..these babies need adopted from PETS & PEOPLE. I just love the first one, so if you can find her a home I would really appreciate it!

Hey, Bucky Covington?

I was laughing at Sawyer yesterday because he gets his feelings hurt when Payslee doesn't share with him..then he looks over at me like, "Hey..she's not sharing".. lol.. Dogs just crack me up!

So Yesterday after taking the dogs to their magical field to run by the house, I came back home and began to get some hot dogs ready for the grill when my phone rang...I noticed the number had a Nashville area code..

Me-- "Hello"..

"KC?".."YES"..

"This is Bucky Covington"..

ME-- "What the hell are you doing calling me?"

Bucky--"hahaha Well I just wanted to see what you were up to"

ME--"OH--(After feeling kinda bad for asking him what the hell he was doing calling me) Well its good to hear from you"..So we go on and talk for a few minutes about his new song "I Want my Life Back" and about his stint on American Idol. And how it was rough for Country singers on that show because you are being judged by a Pop Judge, a guy from Brittain, and an R&B Guitar player! So that was funny..We chit-chatted a bit more about how you can't always please everyone (especially in Nashville, and in radio) and then we said our good-byes..How funny is that!

I'm Still on the lookout for a dryer. Its been nice, so I've just been hanging my stuff out on the fence in the backyard, but eventually I'll actually have to get a dryer..I'm looking on Craigslist..trying to avoid the Craigslist killer, but I think they caught him, so thats a bonus..Lynn is back tomorrow!

Do you have a DOGBOOK?

KC Sheperd Monday

Welcome to Monday folks! Over the weekend my stupid Dryer quit. What a pain..I dont mind getting another one, but how am I going to haul it! Blargh! So I'm going on Craigslist (how I got my last dryer) and I'm going to see if these kind people from Blanchard to deliver it. I could try to fix it myself! NOT! I have no idea how to even begin that little project!
I enjoyed my weekend. Friday night I went to eat with my parents in Bricktown at a place called "Bolero" its right above Red Pin Bowling..It was good. At the end of the meal Bob Stoops and his wife walked in..I didn't go talk to him, but I wonder if others were like, "Atta boy Bobby".. "Bobbo".. etc.. I didn't stay to find out. Then we went to Marble Slab and I had some delicious cheesecake icecream mixed with Strawberries! YUM!
I didnt do much on Saturday. I did go to the Farmer Market though, and that was funtimes. I got some fresh greenbeans, squash, and peanuts. I went home and cooked the peanuts in the oven and they were delish. I may have the squash tonight for supper with the green beans. The little dog-babes had fun playing in the mud all weekend. They are little dirt-hogs. They came in one time and their faces were covered in RED DIRT. Like they had actually been eating it! Why would they do that! I'm going to give them a bath, but I didn't want to do it until I was sure it had stopped raining, and dried up a bit. Payslee has all that white on her, so her little feet look RED too! She's getting some new dresses in this week. A pink one, and an orange one. I can't wait to take her pic in them..she's such a happy little girl!
I went to my new Church again yesterday.. Still loving it, and going back to class on Wednesday. I'm going to Crossings, but I do want to say thank you to everyone who has reached out to me and invited me to their churches too! I do appreciate it!
Woof stock is on the way.. WOOF STOCK

Whats up with the pirates?

Since when did it become Popular to be a pirate again? I seriously thought pirates were like extinct..hmm..and now they keep attacking people which just seems like something out of a movie! The news is just getting more and more bizarre lately.

So yesterday I faced my fears and went back to my new church. Crossings Community Church. There was a newcomer class last night, taught by the Pastor, so I thought it would be good for me to attend that if I truly wanted to become involved in the church..Well I did..and it was good! I was a little scared to go in there at first, but after listening to the Pastor, and meeting some of the staff, I realized that it IS the place I want to go..so I'm going to jump right in! I'm excited to have finally found a church!

My parents are coming up this weekend to hang out a bit. Mom is taking her dog Junior to some sort of Cancer prevention thing at the Chesapeake Boat house. I'm not sure what she is talking about..but anyway..Speaking of dogs, here's one of our features furry friends from http://www.petsandpeople.com/

Alice is adorable! This is one of those dogs that will keep you smiling! She bounces like Tigger - she doesn't jump ON you, just straight up! Very cute! As you can see, she also loves toys, but she especially loves them if you are there to play with her. She'll play tug with you, but if you let go, she pushes the toy back into your hand like she's saying, "Oops, you dropped it. Try again!". Good with other dogs. Crate trained. You will love this girl!

I LOVE THIS DOG! Look how cute she is!

Cammie is gorgeous, gentle, soft, calm, good with other dogs, crate trained, wonderful - there just aren't enough good adjectives to give this girl! She has a scruffy look, but her coat is silky soft. She is loving and doesn't mind at all that we humans can't seem to keep from giving her hugs and kisses! This beautiful honey brindle girl would probably fit in easily with any type of family.

If you are interested in adopting Alice, Cammy, or any other, just call 350-PETS, or if you would like to volunteer, drop off cleaning supplies, sponsor a pet, drop off old towels or blankets.. stop by: 701 Inla Avenue in Yukon.

Taxes, and A permit to what?

So last night after a lovely dinner at Redrock, where I dined on a delcious steak with roasted mashed potatoes..I arrived home to find a warning letter on my door. You know what I think of that? BLARGH.

The OK Police department put a warning letter on my door saying that "If you don't get an alarm permit ID within 7 days and out of custody warrant will be issued for you" Really? How irritating. I mean here's the deal. Apparantly if you have an alarm system in your house that calls the police department when it goes off, then you have to pay $27/year for an 'alarm permit'..Okay, fine. But guess what? When I asked Mr. Waggoner if he had one of these so called permits he said, "Nope..never have".. Okay nice.. So out of all the houses to go to and request permits they pick mine. Awesome. I guess its nice to know they are watching over my neighborhood. Moving on..

So Today is tax day. I did my taxes back in Feb, so I'm not really worried about this. I watched Dancing with the Stars last night. My boys from Rascal Flatts were on, and sounded great. I can honestly say that I'm glad SteveO went home. I enjoyed watching him, but he just wasn't progressing. I think TY Murray will probably be next, but at least he's really trying to get better.

Tonya Roberts was on the show with us promoting a new program called 'Fiscal Fitness' its a money-tracking program that tells you exactly what you spend each month on what. It runs by voice recognition, so you speak what you spend into the phone, and then it will send you little updates on your phone telling you where all your money is going! Its free to the first 50 people, so if you would like to try it out call 877-70-WECAN. Enjoy!

Happy Easter, &Thank you Rain!

I was so glad to see the rain this weekend. After those terrible fires, and all the wheat dying I was ready to see it.. and Rain it did! Mom said they got about an inch at the farm in Canute, and even some hail yesterday. I figured how to make it rain...Wash my dogs. Everytime I was the dogs, it rains..And yup, Payslee loves to run out in the midst of it, and get her newly washed, white fur, dirt Red..Sawyer also finds it great fun to put his paws in standing water.. Nice. So now they look like dirty babes again.
I had fun on Saturday. I had some of my friends over to my house for snacks and good times. We played a bizarre game, but it ended up being funtimes. Then on Sunday I got up and went to a new Church called "Crossings". It was great! They had an amazing choir and orchestra and a wonderful Easter message. We had a special guest too at the church, Ben Utecht was there with his family. He plays for the Cinncinatti Bengals. He also did a duet with Sandi Patty who recently moved to Oklahoma back in January. They did a great job. I also liked the Church, and I'm going to try it out for awhile. Since moving to OKC I've been looking for a church home, but have not found one yet..I just kept going back to "Trinity" in Sayre with my family.
I hope everyone had a great Easter. I thought this was a pretty magical poem:
A drunk man in an Oldsmobile They said had run the light
That caused the six-car pileup On 109 that night.
When broken bodies lay about And blood was everywhere,
The sirens screamed out eulogies, For death was in the air.
A mother, trapped inside her car, Was heard above the noise;
Her plaintive plea near split the air: Oh, God, please spare my boys!
She fought to loose her pinned hands;
She struggled to get free, But mangled metal held her fast In grim captivity.
Her frightened eyes then focused On where the back seat once had been,
But all she saw was broken glass and Two children's seats crushed in.
Her twins were nowhere to be seen; She did not hear them cry,
And then she prayed they'd been thrown free, Oh, God, don't let them die!
Then firemen came and cut her loose, But when they searched the back,
They found therein no little boys, But the seat belts were intact.
They thought the woman had gone mad And was traveling alone,
But when they turned to question her, They discovered she was gone.
Policemen saw her running wild And screaming above the noise In beseeching supplication, Please help me find my boys! They're four years old and wear blue shirts;
Their jeans are blue to match. One cop spoke up,
They're in my car, And they don't have a scratch.
They said their daddy put them there And gave them each a cone,
Then told them both to wait for Mom To come and take them home.
I've searched the area high and low, But I can't find their dad.
He must have fled the scene, I guess, and that is very bad.
The mother hugged the twins and said, While wiping at a tear,
He could not flee the scene, you see, For he's been dead a year.
The cop just looked confused and asked, Now, how can that be true?
The boys said, Mommy, Daddy came And left a kiss for you.
He told us not to worry And that you would be all right,
And then he put us in this car with The pretty, flashing light.
We wanted him to stay with us, Because we miss him so,
But Mommy, he just hugged us tight And said he had to go.
He said someday we'd understand And told us not to fuss,
And he said to tell you, Mommy, He's watching over us.
The mother knew without a doubt That what they spoke was true,
For she recalled their dad's last words, I will watch over you.
The firemen's notes could not explain The twisted, mangled car,
And how the three of them escaped Without a single scar.
But on the cop's report was scribed, In print so very fine,
An angel walked the beat tonight on Highway 109.

Welcome friday!

Wow..It seems like its been a long week. I swear that these winds really suck the life out of me. They irritate me to no end! Those fires yesterday were so awful. I can't imagine not being able to go to your house because you are not sure or not if its still there! The fires did SO much damage, and now I hear that the Governor has declared a state of emergency in 31 counties. For those of you who would like to help contact the Red Cross: http://okc.redcross.org/ and you can make a donation. Its a horrible situation.

I'm not going to the farm for Easter. I went home last weekend because a couple of my friends (Who I don't get to see very much because they have a new baby) wanted to get together and hang out..So I'm going to have people over to hang out on Saturday. I'm excited about that.

The Hannah Montana Movie Premiere we did was wild and crazy! 285 squealing little girls all exited about Miley Cyrus. This one adorable little girl came up to me and said, "Do you know Hannah Montana?" and I said, "No" and she said, "Do you like her?" And I said, "Absolutley" and she goes, "High five..Your the best".. lol! How cute!

Hope you all have a great weekend. Monday morning my boys from Rascal Flatts will be on the show with us! I love them! I wrote about Cocoa Mulch being poisionous in my other blog..Here's the link: http://www.examiner.com/x-7433-Oklahoma-City-Dogs-Examiner~y2009m4d8-Got-cocoa-mulchdrop-it

Easters on its way..

Try JibJab Sendables® eCards today!

So Easter is just around the corner. I was remembering when I used to go to my grandma's to color eggs. You would put those little tablets into vinegar and color the eggs. Then you would dip them into the vinegar with that magical little copper tool.. Ahh..those were the days...Now days they have all these magical kits where you can make swirls, stencils, and paints..Blargh. I like the memories of coloring my eggs 'old school' with my grandma. Then I would always get these giant magical Easter baskets left from the Easter Bunny..I tell ya, I had a great child hood!

So yesterday I go to Wal-Mart, and why I continue to go to the self-checkout I'll never know! Those things are such a pain in the butt! EVERYTIME it will say to me, "Please put the item in the bagging area" after I've already done it..but then it refuses to accept that, so then it will say, "Please wait for assitance".. blargh. Thats the irony.. I go to the Self-checker, thinking that it will be quicker, but it never is..because the machine always screws it up. So let that be a lesson. lol..

I have to give Sawyer & Payslee a bath today. Lately Payslee has been wanting to get up and run around in the night. I really wish she would not do that..When I tell Sawyer to go to bed, he GOES TO BED..And stays in Bed..But not Pays, she wants to prowl around and get into stuff.. So anyone have any ideas on that one?? I make them walk everyday, so she should be tired, but I'm starting to believe that Payslee might seriously be the energizer bunny!!

Shibbidy do da!

Well Hello! So this morning Lynn and I got into a conversation about Kenny Chesney. He thinks that he is weird because he never kisses or hugs the women that come with him to the awards shows. I don't think its weird, because who knows if he even KNOWS those women! I was pleasantly surprised when a bunch of MEN called in to defend Kenny! Hooray! and Thank you! I do NOT think Kenny Chesney is gay. I never have, and I've talked to several people from the Nashville scene that DO NOT think he's gay..Why is it that people are always looking for a reason to dislike someone? I like his music, and I could care less about his sexual preference.. even though I don't think he's gay!

Tomorrow we are talking about going to the doctor. I went last week for an annual checkup and I always just feel weird when they are doing their examination..I mean what are you supposed to say? You are already in a compromising position, and feel weird, so do you say, "So..how bout those Cowboys?"...or what? Should you just be quiet during the exam? Be thinking about that and call in and tell us tomorrow what you think "Proper Doctor's exam Etiquette" would be..

Oh, and by the way, I got a job as a blogger.. so if you would like to read my other new blog
click: http://www.examiner.com/x-7433-Oklahoma-City-Dogs-Examiner and enjoy my magical dog articles!! The best part of waking up.. is Sheperd in your cup! No? Nothing on that?

Things that are Irritating..

So here is a couple of things that are annoying..
1) Wind
2) Wind and Cold
3) Wind and Hot
4) And Wind
5) People that move, and leave their dogs behind to fend for themselves.

I say this because I went home over the weekend and mom had been telling me about these people who had moved out of a house and just LEFT 3 Cairn Terriers there!

So we went over and took pictures of them hoping to find them a home. So if you know of anyone who could give them a good home email me at kc.s@tylermedia.com and I'll give you more information about them. There are 3 of them and they are so happy to see people when you drive up the driveway...they just race up to you like, 'Are you here to be my family?' its so sad..How people could just leave them is beyond me. Thankfully some of the local farmers, and my mom have been stopping by to feed them everyday, so they are not starving, but it still makes me sad. Their hair is all matted and has stickers in it, but I know they would be so cute with a little love and grooming.
The ACM's were good last night. I loved the Trace Adkins song, and I loved the fact that he finally won an award! Yay! I was also happy Jamey Johnson won for song of the year, and that he let my delicious James Otto on stage to accept with him for helping him write. James looked good. I thought Jamey did a good job singing too..in fact almost everyone sounded good last night. I was a little weirded out by Jennifer Nettles and her "Camera faces"..what was that about? It was like watching her on American Idol..I also didn't care for her dress. .I did think Reba did a great job, and I loved all her dresses, and Carrie looked beautiful as always. I think it would have been cool if they had invited Randy Travis to sing with her on "I told you So" though.

Other highlights for me, was of course Rascal Flatts..Even though Lynn didn't think Gary sounded good. I thought he knocked it out of the park! I think Gary has such a unique way of singing, and he really has to lean into it, so I was proud of them. So for me Top 5 Performances:

1) Trace Adkins--Till the last Shot's Fired
2) Rascal Flatts--Here Comes Goodbye
3) Kenny Chesney--We went out
4) The opening number with Brooks & Dunn
5) Jamey Johnson--In Color
I thought it was a great show this year, and I'm so thankful that Trace FINALLY won, plus he speech where he said, "I'm an idiot" made me laugh..I'm so proud of all my boys!!

At the Farm..

Well I'm at the farm this weekend. We are going to a bull sale, and then off to the Elk City farm show. Supposedly they have that magical glue up there that glues anything and everything..so I'm all about that. I love that glue!

Tonight we are meeting friends at the Elk's Lodge for drinks and dinner. It should be fun. The wind was blowing through the night so hard that you could actually hear it through the walls! What a pain. The baby dogs were kindof a pain last night too. They woke me up to go out at 11:36, 3:40, and then 7:00! They are like mini-alarm clocks I tell ya! No sleep for the weary.

Tomorrow Lynn will be doing the Sunday Morning Gospel show to honor Jay Shankle. No one can replace Shank, but we will keep the gospel show going because it is an inspiration to so many people. So listen for Lynn tomorrow from 7-11am.

Jay Shankle passed away

Well I'm sad to say that our Sunday Morning Gospel show guy, Jay Shankle passed away Wednesday night. He had open heart surgery about a year ago, and we had hoped that would take care of the majority of his problems, but he checked himself into the hospital on Wednesday night and his heart was just too tired. He was 66 years old. I didn't get to visit with Jay much over the years, but I always enjoyed listening to his gospel show on Sunday. He was so knowledgeable about the artists, and his show was so heartfelt. He always made me smile with his "Shankisms"..I always knew if I couldn't remember who sang a certain gospel song that I could ask Shank, and he would know the answer!
He will be missed by not only us at King Country, but by everyone that ever heard him on the air. A memorial Service will be held Friday, April 17th at 2pm at Vondel L. Smith & Son located at 6934 S Western in Oklahoma City, and the family has requested that in lieu of flowers, a donation to the American Heart Association would be appreciated.

Jay was inducted into the Southern Legends Hall of Fame! Jay Shankle's radio career began in 1963 at KDSX in Sherman-Denison, Texas. From there he made stops in Wichita (KNIN '65-'68 & KFDI '72-'76) and in Oklahoma City at KTOK from 1968-1972 and KEBC from 1976-1984. It was at that time that he coined the phrase "Shank In Your Tank" as Oklahoma City rode home with him from 3-7.

Jay developed an early love and appreciation of Gospel music by singing in church and attending all day outdoor gospel singings. Jay also has a deep passion for finding hard to get records. In fact, Jay says he would rather find a "long-lost" song that eat or sleep. Those passions make him the perfect host for "The Sunday Morning Gospel Show".

Jay is survived by his two children...Amanda, 21 and Jayson, 18...both students at OU. Jay's favorite saying is "It's better to have loved a short girl, and lost, than never to have loved a tall!"
We'll miss you Shank..

Happy Thursday

Well Hello!
So yesterday I went to the Doctor's office and as I was sitting there being examined I was thinking to myself "What is the Proper conversation etiquette when talking to the Doctor" because usually they are asking you to do weird things while they examine you..Take Deep breaths, lay on your back with your arm over your head, open up and say ahhhh.. So I mean during those times are you supposed to have a conversation with them, or just sit there and do as your told?
I always feel weird, so I make nervous conversation.."So How are your kids?" "Man the allergies are sure bad this year".. "How bout that snow we got!" Its pretty awful, but at least it takes my mind off what is actually happening..
I also got a little irritated when I went to fill my prescriptions..Who in the hell can pay for those?? I got a script for Claratin, Rhinocort, and one other, and it was $276.00!! With Insurance!! What! That is ridiculous!! I can't imagine how awful it would be if I was one of those people who had a monthly prescription and it had to be filled..like Athsma or heart medication..Its just ridiculous what people have to pay! But I did get the rhinocort nasal spray so hopefully it will stop my allergies for a bit.
Thanks again to everyone who has been emailing me about the April Fools day joke. Apparently we fooled a lot of people! But its always nice to be missed and loved, so thank you!

April Fools

I know! We're Sorry! We're Sorry! Yes, we were April Fooling this morning. No, we didn't get suspended (as of yet anyway), and Becca and the "Beav" are actually two of our sales people that work here. I'm pretty proud of them because they had never done any radio before, and agreed to come in and help us with our prank. They had to sit in here for 3 hours listening to people say mean things to them and tell them to go back to Lubbock!! The only sad thing for us was that.....a few people actually liked them!! Woopsie!

So Anyway, the April Fools day joke is over, and everything will be back to normal tomorrow. Or should I say as normal as we get! We sure do appreciate all the calls we got from our listeners that love us! Even though it was an evil joke, its sure nice to be loved and missed sometimes! So thanks to everyone who called in and defended us against and loved on us. We truly appreciate it!
