Its Christmas time Pretty baby..

Well we had a great Christmas. We aren't even all the way done with it yet.. but so far its been awesome.

MJ and I were both most of the Week of Christmas. I worked on Monday, but that was it. We had a great Holiday Luncheon at Loves and it was a lot of fun. I work for a great company.

On Sunday Mom came up to get the girls for a little 1 on 1 Grandparent time.. She took them to Canute and MJ and I finished up some last minute shopping on Monday and Tuesday. We also went to see "Exodus".. which was NOT great. It wasn't even as good as NOAH, and Noah wasn't that great either.. But In Exodus.. he doesn't even part the red sea.. and the burning bush doesn't talk to him, instead a weird little boy does.. Not cool. The Story of Moses is so amazing with all the CGI and Special effect they have nowdays they could have hit an home run.. but they didn't.. Lame. But.. the popcorn was good, so there's that!

I had flower delivery at Church on Tuesday, so I went and did that, and then we went to the First Crossings Christmas Eve Service (I think they had 8 total).. It was so good. We took Brandon with us and he and I cried through some of it, lol.. I'm just so proud of my church, and I love to share it with people.. The choir did "O Holy Night" and it was just great. Makes me so happy to go to a church with a real, live orchestra playing insuruments, and an amazing choir. Love it.

Wednesday Morning we went to Mom's and got the girls and headed to Sentinel to see my dad and all the cousins. We had a great time. The kids are 2 & Under.. Mine are the youngest at 19 Months.. Joe turned 2 in October, (My sister Lexi's boy) and Ava turned 2 in September (My Brother Grant's girl).. so its a madhouse of toddlers crying, laughing, running, falling, flailing, screaming and chasing each other! Its pretty hilarious to watch. They are all to the age now where they know each other and play with each other. There are going to be some pretty interesting brawls that happen in the next few years to say the least!

They had a great time opening their presents.. Although Londyn didn't care much about it.. Joe's "present" face was the best.. every time he would open something it was like it was the greatest gift that had ever been given! I just wanted to keep giving him stuff! Ava loved her Fur Real Kitten that we got her.. but so did Crosslee and she kept stealing it every time Ava sat her down.. lol..She would take it and run off.. It was funny. The whole situation with Toddlers 2 & under is funny because they have no concept of empathy, sharing, hurting one another or civilization in general! They are self-absorbed little emotional people walking around being crazy! But its so great..

You will go from one minute of happiness, to someone crying, to someone yelling, to someone giggling.. its pretty great. I was never close to any of my cousins, so I'm pretty excited for my girls to grow up loving their cousins and playing together.

Cross has started doing a "CHEESE" face when you point your camera at her. Its one of my favorite things.. because it makes me laugh..  Londyn has also started doing a Cheese Face, except hers looks more like an Angry Goat face..

Her Cheese face was when Gigi gave them Push Pops before Supper to celebrate the fact that they were 19 months old.. and it was Christmas time.. so as you can see, she was very excited about this.. Who wouldn't be excited about push pops for supper right??

They had a great Time at Christmas Day at Gigi & Papa's.. Santa came.. although LL wasn't that concerned with this.. Cross got up pretty early and was excited about her Basketball goal. She grabbed the ball, walked over and started shooting it into the goal.. She made like 3 in a row and I look over at mom and we are like "How does she know how to do that?".. but she did!

Mom also got them a King & Queen Puppet.. Cross was freaked out by them at first.. she would look at them and say "NOO".. but once they started singing songs to her she warmed up a little.. by the last day we were there she was feeding the Queen part of her sausage.. thats how you know Cross loves you.. if she shares her sausage.. lol

Londyn got up a little bit later on Christmas day.. she was most excited about a geometric Stacker we got them. She liked to take all of them off and then put them back on. They both loved that gift. They also both loved the Piano.. they strum on it daily.

They also got lots of coloring books, and art Easel, and these awesome horses.. Sadly, they are not big enough to ride the horses yet, but Cross still loved them.. We will wrap them back up and save them for their birthday. You have to weigh enough to press down on them to make them go.. they can reach the pedals..but can't make them go just yet, so we ended up pushing Cross around on hers, or letting her walk him.. she still loved it. When they are big enough they will LOVE those horses! You steer/drive their heads so it will be so much fun!

We have one more Christmas left, with MJ's dad.. His Grandma got sick on Christmas and went into the hospital, so we haven't got to see them yet, but we probably will this weekend. I know we will all be excited to do that too!

The girls are so much fun right now. They don't play and love on each other a lot..but they are starting to. I captured a picture of them in the chair playing and their faces look so sweet. They love playing Hide & Seek now..

Cross is saying a million words.. the funniest ones are "Heyyyyy" and "byyyeeee".. she sounds Southern. She knows how to ask for things and we understand what she wants 90% of the time. Londyn says fewer words, but she is very sweet and patient, and we can usually figure out what she wants too. I think she will talk more as she gets older. She loves to play with Rocks and Hangers. We got her a Sandbox for Christmas. They also got a slide and Cross loves it. Cross loves all her new babies. She has a Fur Real Panda, Small Toady, her Fur Real Horse, and we got both of them glow worms. They both like them in their beds at night. Cross sleeps with like 5 things now.. but don't worry, JA (the owl) is still the main guy.. He is in almost every picture because he is not far from her heart..

The girls had their 18 month appointments.. They are in the 90% percentile in most things. They weight 26 & 27 lbs and are 34" tall. They are super healthy.. Still really great eaters.. in fact Cross ate Mexican Enchilada dip at Christmas.. we were like "Cross thats spicy".. but she just kept dipping her chips in there and eating it.. lol. They do a great job eating. Not picky at all, which I'm so grateful for.

My next post will probably be about having twins.. because I know several people that are pregnant with twins right now..and they honestly don't know whats about to happen.. lol..But I'll save that one for later. Hope you all had a Very Merry Christmas! I know we are super excited about the New Year and all the New Blessings it will bring! XXOO

The Sounds of Christmas

The Fabulous Bows on Crosslee's head are from Magpies Bowtique. She makes the CUTEST things!!
Last night I took Crosslee to the Crossings Christmas Special.. it was so great. I can't even tell you how great it was.. but it was GREAT. Only Cross & I went because this was the first year for it I think and we didn't know what to expect. So Londyn & MJ stayed home.. It lasted about an hour and 15 min and Cross was pretty good for an 18 month old.. She loved the singing. Especially the awesome Opera lady singing in the choir right beside us at the start.. She clapped for her. She loved the movie part too.. But she got a little bored and played with her cows for some of it..

The program was old, funny movie clips, and great Christmas songs.. Some with us singing, some with the tremendous choir and orchestra, and some with solos.. it was SO good. One of the coolest things is pulling into the Parking lot at 6:30 on a Sunday and seeing that 2000 other people just cannot WAIT to get into the doors of the church because they know something magical is about to happen.. and it did. I love my church so much!

Speaking of Church.. MJ and I have gotten brave and started taking the girls to the nursery for both Church and Sunday School.. They usually just go to one or the other.. but we know its good socialization for them to be there, and the staff loves them.. They have done great, and no texts to come get them.. so Success!

Cross got her first goose-egg over the weekend. She rolled off the couch and hit her forehead. She didn't really cry that much, but it looked AWFUL. Just awful! It was better the next day.. But the worse part was that it happened right before we were planning on leaving to go to MJ's work party.. But Thankfully Leslie (nanny) was watching the girls that night, and Cross wasn't sad when we left.

We were supposed to go to our Sunday School party on Friday night and MJ's dad was going to watch the goats.. but Cross had a bad diaper rash and LL was teething, so we stayed home. Cross only wanted me to hang out with her, and LL wanted her daddy.. We were sad to miss that, but it was for the best.

We are super excited for Christmas this year. We have almost completed our shopping and are trying to figure out a schedule of when we get to see everyone. With 4 sets of grandparents it always gets interesting. But the nice thing is that we have so many people who want to see the girls, be with them, and hang out with them..Of course they are pretty hilarious and entertaining, so I can't imagine anyone NOT wanting to hang out with them.. but I suppose there will always be some of those people too.

The weather has been ridiculous lately.. Yesterday we have hail and a tornado warning. The fog has been so thick in the mornings, and then its 60 in the day.. No clue. One of my friends had a friend post to his wall "Do you guys live in Hell?" Referring to the ridiculousness of the Oklahoma weather.

In other news MJ & I's jobs are going really well. We had great performance reviews and that was really nice. We both work for really great companies and are certainly blessed by that.

The girls are pretty entertaining now. Crosslee has these 2 cows that she plays with and the other day when we were out eating she laid one on its side and said "he's seepin".. She had never said that before.. Then yesterday when we were at the Christmas program I asked her to "shhh..and be quieter" and put my hand up to my mouth.. and sure enough she did the same thing. It was hilarious. She says something new everyday. JA (her owl) is still her favorite thing, but she also loves "TEE" which is the giant green toad that Jordan's dad got her.. Yesterday she thought Tee wanted to go outside and pulled him through the dog door. I had to inform her he did not want to go outside. Poor JA looks like a sad, mangled washcloth.. We got her 2 more to replace him.. but she won't love them as much I'm sure. My hope is that she can carry one of them around and maybe get him kinda harried looking and then she will like them both.. We'll see what happens. Its been a lot of fun shopping for them this year. I know its going to be super fun to watch them open presents and be excited.

So they still don't care that much about each other.. I don't know when that will happen. They know who each other is.. but thats where it ends. As far as playing, or having some sort of magical twin talk.. no. They don't have that. Its funny because when they were little we would always hear "Are they identical?" and now we hear "Are they related".. they don't look anything alike.. but thats ok. We love it. And we love that we both have mini-me's.. It truly could not have turned out any more perfect..

Yesterday at Sunday School we sat with a group of folks and one couple had a newborn and one couple was 8 months pregnant.. They asked Jordan & I to write a book, lol. I think once people have ONE newborn they become pretty impressed with the fact that we were able to live through having TWO. Even though we had a ton of help with My parents and Jordan's dad, it was still SO MUCH WORK. Like nothing I say can every prepare people for what it takes to live through having two infants, lol..

When I look back on the past 10 years of my life its been incredible to see how many "God" moments I have had.. Like how many times I had planned something, and how many times he un-did my plan and went with his own.. and how much greater things turned out. We could have never expected all the trials we would have to go through.. but the payoff has been so great. We have amazing lives, amazing family and friends, amazing dogs, and two healthy, beautiful babies who are truly full of joy, and a joy to be around. Its a Wonderful time of the year!

I'm Mad at Garth & Oprah..

Well 2 big things happened in my life this week.. 1) I saw the latest December issue of the Oprah Magazine.. and of course it featured one of my favorite things.. HER favorite things! Now listen.. I've kinda been upset with Oprah since she left TV. I enjoyed that TV show. I looked FORWARD to it each day.. then she flies off and buys her own network and I still have a hard time finding that dang channel on Cable! But.. I've caught a few episodes of "Where are they Now" and "Oprahs's Life Class" and its made me forgive her.. BUT.. then she puts out Her favorite things, which makes me angry with her all over again!! .... Why? BECAUSE I CAN'T AFFORD 90% OF HER FAVORITE THINGS!.. Oprah needs to put out an edition of "My Cheapest Favorite things" and then it would be more realistic for me! I mean who can afford $700 GOLD Dr. Dre Beats? Come On Oprah.. Come on.. Here's the list if you want to see.. Oprah's Favorite Things 2014.
I like to look at these things to get gift ideas.. but so far there is no one that is worth THAT much money on my Christmas list! lol.. Not that I wouldn't love to get them those things, I would.. but with twins, childcare, and a house payement.. just probably not happening. However, I mean these are some of the coolest things ever, but right now, my face is not worth $93 face cream.. dangit Oprah.. bring it down a notch, bring it down..Even a PEN.. a writing utensil.. is $36. I would feel terrible if I bought a $36 Pen and then Cross threw it out the window, or I lost it..  I can tell she's trying to throw us a bone with the Nate Berkus Plates from Target.. But how many of us really need little tiny plates that don't match any of our other dishes?? Then she will put stuff on there that I really want.. Like Comfy stuff, which for me at this point in my life MATTERS.. I want some delicious, soft PJ's, or Tee Shirts.. or fluffy house shoes.. But can I have those? Hell no. The PJ's are $155, The House shoes are $120  and the T-shirts are $214 for 3.. Or how about some yummy smelling Candles? $240 set.  I obviously need richer friends.. lol. Nail Polish is $144.. Oprah, I'm probably just going to go to CVS and get it for $5.. If I ever do get rich and famous, the first thing I'm going to do for Christmas is buy things for my peeps off Oprah's Favorite things! But anyway.. There's the list, so enjoy, wishful thinking right?!?!

Okay, the 2nd person I'm mad at is Garth Brooks.. I spent 14 years, or however long its been waiting for Garth to make his comeback.. Sure he's thrown us a bone with the "Scarecrow" album, and done a few shows in Vegas.. Ok. fine.. but we were all waiting for the Big comeback.. Well we got a special glimpse when he did Good Morning America and Sang "Mom".. it was so good.. he cried, they cried, I cried.. it was awesome and sweet.. and exactly what we expect from Garth. True feelings and emotion when he sings, connecting with his audience.. it was awesome.. So When Tuesday Hit (the day of the "Man against the Machine" release) I was ready.. I was going to go download the whole album.. Listen at work.. review on my way home.. I. Was. Ready. ... But then I remembered.. Wait.. Garth Hates Itunes, Pandora, Spotify, and anything like it.. So where in the heck do I even GO to GET his new music??..

Google to the rescue.. I google and realize that Garth has started his OWN music streaming service called Ghost Tunes.  You can go there, sign up for free, and download his new stuff.. BUT.. its not very easy to understand. Like if you buy it and download it, where does it go? Not to your Itunes apparently.. So Far the only way I have found to play the songs and listen is to go to the website and do it that way. It tells me I can download it, but I have no idea where it download.. The beauty of Itunes is the ease of it.. You click 'buy' and then its in your Itunes. Simple. This is NOT simple, and it really provides NO directions.. Plus the website, ATT, and apparently my Iphone are all janky and it only plays half the time I press play.. So its NOT ideal. Sure as a former radio person, I get the point of "Preserving the music" where people can't steal it, and artists get paid.. but you have to make the process easy or people won't mess with it. Thats why People are not buying CD's anymore.. so much easier to just click 'buy' and listen online and be done with it.. So while I understand what he is TRYING to do.. He's irritating the people who love him the most by not being able to easily get to his music.

Now I will say this, Ghost Tunes makes it where if you buy it once, its yours.. Unlike Itunes, you can burn it to a disc (if you ever figure out where to download it) as many times as you want and on as many devices as you want, and the money paid actually goes to the artists.. so those are both good things.. So many once he works the kinks out if it, it will be ok.. but right now its a pain. Taylor Swift has decided to do the same.. so we'll see how this all shakes out.

In other news with the twins, all is good. We had a great Halloween. We took the girls to Northpark Mall for Trick or Treating, then to Laura & Terry's House.. They had a great time. Cross was dressed up as her owl JO, and LL was a sweet Pink Monster. They didn't really get the concept of Trick or Treating.. but they did enjoy their first sucker! We had a great time! After Halloween on that Saturday Gigi & Papa came up and we took the girls to the Parkhurst Pumpkin Patch.. They had fun petting the goats and roaming around. This is a great time of year! Here's some pics..
Don't get so excited for Trick or Treating Girls! Calm down!!
Still not that excited.. but also not upset about being in puffed Costumes.
Man, she was a really cute Owl. She liked wearing this and patting her puffy belly!
 Handful of Monster and Owl!

Daddies Pink Monster!
 Sweet Church pics
 Following our favorite guy.. daddy!

I was Marie Antoinette for work party.. Cross enjoyed this..

Fall is All Up on Us!

We have had A Great couple of weeks enjoying all the fall activities going on around us. We have visited Pumpkinville at the Myriad's Botanical Gardens.. It was a lot of fun, but it was 89 the Saturday we were out there.. which is ridiculous for Late October! Only $3 to get in there.. But the girls like walking around, picking up gourds and climbing on stuff. They are at the stage now where just being free, running around, and climbing on and off things is like the best day ever.

We Also went to TG farms in Newcastle. Its a BIG place, and its pretty pricey ($10 per person, even if you are a newborn) But its worth it.. a TON of stuff for kids to do. The girls went into the petting Zoo and hung out with the Goats. Cross would laugh when the goats jumped up on top of their shed. She thought that was hilarious. LL didn't like the goats as much. She liked going up and down the hay slide. They put a cattle ramp up to a slide where the girls could climb up the ramp and then slide down the slide. They LOVE all slides at this stage. Its hilarious.. they will go up and down it 324 times and not get tired!

They also have pig races, a haybale maze, corn maze, a duck pond, and a TON of places to pose for Fall pictures.
Cross loved the mini pumpkins. She took two of them and carried them around with her as she was walking. For some reason the pumpkins made her laugh with joy.
Londyn really just liked walking around. She would go over a little bridge and liked to hear the sound of her shoes on top of it. Everything is a new sound and a new adventure. She liked going out on the deck and looking at the ducks in the duck pond. She also liked climbing on the haybales and sliding.

We are going to go to another Pumpkin Patch this weekend with Mom & Steve. They are coming up to Trick or treat with the girls, so we are going to go to Parkhurst Pumpkin Patch in Arcadia. Everyone says its so much fun. I think Cross will want to ride a Pony there.. And LL will enjoy the Fort. She loves squeezing her little body into places. We always look up and she is hiding behind a chair or something funny like that.
Everyone thinks Cross looks like me in this picture.. Well obviously, because she has huge, giant, sunglasses on.. lol. But you can tell she is obviously a fan of herself, and hey, I can't blame her for that. She is the happiest girl! After the Pumpkin Patch we went and met GT & Nana for awhile. The girls went upstairs in the Theatre Room and watched a GIANT version of Peppa Pig, so they thought that was fun! Then we all went to dinner. We chose Cracker Barrel and Cross fell in love with a giant Toad there.. I tried to put it back and she started to Cry, so GT got it for her, lol
She carried him all around that night.. and brings him to the living room to play each morning.

As you can see, she's still carrying that Owl.(JO).. yup, she loves loves him. We went to the farm a few weeks ago and forgot him and turned around and drove back to get him. Its THAT bad. If you put her in her bed without him she makes the saddest little cry.. Pretty much the same cry I would make if you put me to bed without my blanket.. lol.. So I can't judge her, because she gets it from me. She also has a freakish love for weird things. I have an old Wooden Indian Man that my dad gave me. I keep him on the porch of whatever house I live in because I swear he is a protector.. MJ is creeped out by him and insisted he live outside, because he was INSIDE the house.. I introduced Cross to him one day and she loved him.. Everyday now when she see's him outside, she goes up and gives him a hug, and pets him.
See, its weird.. but she loves him. She also has befriended a Gargoyle named "Hans" in my bedroom. She goes to him and pets him everyday.. MJ just says "Man, she's so weird like you" Lol.. So I can't say much..

We have been spending a LOT of time at the Church Playground these days. Its SO perfect for Toddlers. First, its gated, so they can't escape, and second they have a "little' playground that is perfect for Toddlers.. Its not too high off the ground and its hard for them to fall off of it. My girls LOVE it.. They climb and slide and run and crawl. We try to go there a couple of times a week.. after church and then before Small group on Wednesdays. They LOVE their time there.. We went last night and I was shocked at how they don't get tired! Cross just kept going and going up and down and down the slide and running.. Endless amounts of energy!
Last weekend we went to Cousin Joe's 2nd birthday in Weatherford at my Sister Lexi's house. The girls had a great time because we just let them run free in the backyard. They loved going up and down his slide..and there was a trampoline, so they loved that.. Then Lexi served Fajitas, so of course they were IN on that! They love Mexican food! It was all fun and games till Cousin Joe drew on Crosslee's face with a purple marker, lol.. You can tell by her face that she is shocked that this has just happened!

We all had a great time. The girls got to see everyone and eat some birthday cake. They also loved coloring with giant crayons so we had to get them some of those when we got back. Life is so much fun for us right now. Each day is a new adventure with the girls, and if you have seen their pics, or been around them much, you know that they are just endless barrels of energy and SO much fun right now. Cross is saying all kinds of things now.. She is a little Parrot. LL is starting to stay more each day. Cross has learned how to jump. She doesn't get very far off the ground, but in her mind she is jumping to the sky! They are climbing into chairs now and sitting in 'big' seats.. They still love the farm and playing. They could stay outside all day. Leslie (The nanny) has finally just succumb to the fact that they want to stay outside ALL the time. So we just let them go out there and play. They like their backyard, and Banks and Payslee are good babysitters!

They both still love walking in the Cow Pasture.. and the Cows like them too. Its truly such a blessing to have so many fantastic places they can visit and enjoy. They have so many people that love them, and so many places to visit! They have a great life, and so do we.. So blessed!

We have been reading a book in our Small Group called "Changes that Heal" by Dr. Henry Cloud. Last night MJ and I taught the class, and it was really fun. Its a really good book about setting boundaries around toxic people. Its been an eye opening experience to read, but very helpful. MJ is also a part of a Mens Bible study that meets early on Wednesdays and he has really been enjoying that as well. WE just love our church!

I know I'm partial because they are mine.. but man, My girls are beautiful! Londyn looks like a living doll, and Crosslee's spirit matches her joyful face! So Thankful they are healthy and happy babies.. Now 17 months old!

Don't Stop till you Get enough..

Fall weather is so great. You wait all summer for it, and then finally it arrives.. and then you take out all your summer stuff, throw it out into a box, and get all your fall/winter stuff out.. Only for it to climb back into the 90's.. and you to have nothing to wear. Welcome to Oklahoma..

But the somewhat cooler weather has been nice. We had a fun weekend last weekend. We took the girls to the park, because they are finally big enough to enjoy it.. and not eat rocks.. so thats always a plus. They love going up and down the slide, and swinging.. And they just love being free to walk around in open fields and grass.. I do the same thing for my dogs. We take them to a big field and let them walk around and be dogs.. and they love it. Kids are the same way.. no fences.. Just freedom. I think even at this young age they know what that is and love it. I know they love it at the farm.

Saturday our neighborhood had a block party. We all went to the end of the street where they had a bounce house, hot dogs, hamburgers, and snow cones. Then one of the guys in our neighborhood is a firefighter and brought his firetruck out to give the kids rides on. This was the girls first encounter with a bounce house. We put them in there and Crosslee was a beast! She LOVED it.. She did not care that big kids were in there bouncing, she just raced around and flopped with the best of them. LL sat on the side for awhile then wanted out because the action was a little scary for her, but she liked watching sister in there. And LL loved walking around and visiting with everyone at the block party. We love our neighborhood.. Just a nice place with nice people. We all had a good time.

On Sunday we went to my nieces birthday Party. Ava had her 2nd birthday party, complete with a frozen theme, and the girls had a blast. They had it in the back yard with a bubble blower, trampoline, play  houses, and the best party favors. The girls loved going up and down the slide and eating chocolate covered pretzels. It was a little hot, but everyone had a great time.

This next weekend is going to be fun too. We are going to Mj's dad's house to drop off the girls to play with them, and MJ and I are going to go to the balcony at the Warren and enjoy a date! They got me that for my birthday, so it will be a fun little outing. Plus there are 2 good movies out now, Denzel has a new one called "The Equalizer" and Ben Affleck is in a new one called "Gone Girl" which looks great too. We will see one of those two.. and have amazing popcorn which is what life is all about..

So FINALLY Fall TV is back on.. I still am one of the few that Watches Grey's Anatomy and it started back this week.. and Nashville.. They were both good. I'm still (sadly don't judge me) watching Teen Mom 2.. which is a show to watch if you want to feel like a better mom. I think that is why reality shows are so great.. they make us feel normal. Like "Hey, At least I didn't get pregnant at 15 and have the dad leave me, or get throw in jail".. "Or Oh look I had a bad day, but I didn't embezzle 10 million and lie on my taxes" See its all perspective.. lol

The girls have their Halloween Costumes, and they are amazing. Cross is going to be her creepy Owl that she carries around all the time. I found a costume that looks just like her J.O (judgment owl) and its so perfect! I tried it on her the other day and its GREAT! She liked wearing it too.. Londyn Lucille is going to be a Pink Monster. Hers is also super cute and puffed. She is like a soft little pink creature walking around. Super cute. We are going to Trick or Treat at Northpark this year again.. It should be fun, and then Crossings is doing a Fall Festival so we'll take the girls there to Trick or Treat and play. Plus they will have bounce houses, so Cross will be super excited.

Everything else is trucking along.. MJ starts his new gig in Reservoir on Monday. He's excited. Every day is a new adventure with the girls. We got them some 'SAND' from Brookestone and they love it. its the weirdest stuff ever, but so cool. its like Magnetic sand.. Great gift idea by the way if you have a youngster in your life.. we enjoy ours. Life is good!
