We are going to the farm this weekend. I've got a remote at Bob Howard from 11-1, and then we will head that way. Mom has a new puppy who is 8 weeks old, and I'm curious as to how my puppies will act with a newer, younger baby in the house. Payslee is used to being the baby, so I hope she doesn't act ugly.

We shot our TV commerical yesterday. It appears to have turned out pretty good, so we'll see what happens. I will give you a hint, it deals with Willie Nelson & a tour bus..so let your imagination run wild!

This has been a much better week. So far I have not been attacked by my crazy neighbor, I haven't dropped my Iphone, and I haven't been pulled over by the police.. Booya! I'm excited to go to the farm and hang out by the pool, and maybe have a lovely glass of wine with my mom. I'm hoping Pays doesn't jump into the pool again.. sheesh.. Have a good weekend!

The "UP" movie was great!

Oh My gosh..the "Up" Movie was soo good! I didn't really expect it to be that good, but I got a little emotional in it! I know! Ridiculous, but it had some heart-worming moments that brought a tear to my eye..I also loved all of the talking dogs. There were a bunch of them, but Doug (Pictured on the left) wearing the "Cone of shame" was my favorite! It was such a cute movie, and we had a great crowd!! It opens on Friday, so you should go see it this weekend..

Today we are shooting a TV commerical..Who knows how thats going to turn out..most of you saw the last one, so we'll see how that goes!

I'm headed to the farm this weekend. I'm going to rescue the LAST homeless Cairn Terrier, and also visit my mom's new puppy, Izzy. She keeps telling me that Izzy is mean, and bites everyone and loves to run around.. Well I'm thinking Payslee will be just PERFECT for her to play with! But I think Pays will make her cry. Payslee is a big bully! Sawyer will probably love her, because he is such a sweet boy. I'm going to take their life jackets this time though, just in case Miss Pays decides to jump into the pool!

XMen, Wolverine, Jon&Kate fun

Well tonight I am going to see that new movie, "UP" it looks very cute, and it has a talking dog..so I'm on board! I'm also needing some popcorn, so I'm excited about it. Brandon & Amy are going to go with me with their little boy Brady.

Hey, exciting news.. I met a little girl that I liked over the weekend! As most of you know I am scared of little kids. As an only child, who didn't really grow up with siblings, I don't know what to do with little kids, but Sean Elliotts little girl, Georgia was at our picnic, and she was hysterical. She kept offering me some candy and dancing.. So I thought she was pretty awesome. Lance Miller's little girl, Presley, was also cute, but I didn't get to hang out with her..maybe next time.

Well over the weekend I went to see the movie "Wolverine"..its the latest XMEN movie, and it was sooo good! It was like a good Vs. Evil flick.. and I loved Taylor Kitsch in it. .He's the guy from Friday Night lights, and he's now officially added to my Ladder of Love..He's so hot!

I love him in Friday night Lights, but now I love him a lot more. I also watched 2344 hours of "Jon&Kate+8". I had never watched the show till now, but Kate had been on the last 3 covers of my "US Weekly", so I thought I'd better see what the fuss was all about..Well once I started watching, I never stopped. I even watched the Premiere! Ridiculous..I don't know whats going to happen with them..they seem like a train wreck to me, but they have 8 kids, so I hope they can pull it together!

Sawyer is back in action now. We will have to retreat in 2 weeks again. Mom got a new border collie Puppy. She named her Izzy. She and Payslee are the same size. This weekend I'm going to Canute to rescue a Cairn Terrier and bring it back to the "New Leash on Life" folks..so I'm going to let Payslee play with the puppy. Mom says the puppy is a biter, and kinda naughty..but I seriously doubt she will be a match for Naughty Payslee! She might want to stick to playing with Sawyer..He's much sweeter! So we'll see how that goes..

To top it all off..

Well I'll tell you.. Its been an interesting last week, and when I say interesting I mean crappy.. It all started with Dancing with the Stars. Thats who I blame. They didn't pick Gilles, which I thought was awful, so it just set the tone..Then Adam lost on Idol, so that made it worse.. Then Psychic Cyndy told me I was never going to get a date..Well it pretty much went from bad to worse after that.

On Friday I decided to take the advice of our fine listeners. They had suggested that the best way to handle my crazy neighbor was to 'Kill her with Kindness'..Okay..I will. So Friday evening she was outside glaring at me from her back porch..So I nicely waved to her.. Still glaring.. So then when I was about go in, I waved and said, "Have a good evening" and she screams back, "No, have a Black evening"........uh okay.. So I again say, "Have a good evening" and she screams, "BLACK BLACK BLACK BLACK!!".. hmm...well this is not working too well..So then as a last resort I say, "Okay, well I was just trying to be friendly" and she screams back, "You Shut your ___ ___ mouth talking to me".. Okay, well that didn't work! She proceeded to scream and cuss at me (even though I was INSIDE my house)for the next 15 minutes..So I'm pretty sure I'm not going to try to be nice to her anymore.

Saturday we had our softball game and picnic. I hit to the pitcher.. Why! I hate people who hit to the pitcher, because I'm usually the one pitching! Blargh..We only got beat by 6 runs, and we had some great hustle..lol. Then crappiest part, Steve Blake from Hudiburg agreed to play with us, and on like the first play of the game, he dove for the ball, caught it, and yup, broke his collarbone!! How awful!
After the softball game we all headed over to our first Lynn, Bill & KC picnic with Lance Miller. Everyone had a good time, and we had some delicious pork Sandwiches from the Pork Council. Lance Miller sounded Awesome and everyone appeared to enjoy themselves.

Around 7:00 I headed home, and when I got there, I was less than thrilled to find that Sawyer had gotten sick all over my kitchen..Nice. So I cleaned that up, and we went to the vet. Turns out he has WHIPWORMS! I don't even know what that is, but apparently you get it from digging, and it spreads from one dog to another, so all the dogs had to be treated. $150 later, we left. The good news is its easily treatable, and he will be fine..It doesn't even make him feel bad, so thats good. He just had to take this giant Pill and eat some high protein food for a few days to get him back on track. Sawyer weighed in at 10lbs, Miss Payslee is still 6.7, and Dr. Logan said they are about as big as they are going to get..

So after all that magic, we got home around 9:00 and I went to take a nice, hot bubble bath.. ahhh.. So nice. As I was getting out I grabbed my towel, where I had apparently left my new Iphone, and Yes, WHIPPED IT INTO THE FLIPPING BATHTUB!! AHHHHHHH! I tried to rescue it, but it was too late..It went under. I start flailing, and blowing on it.. but to no avail..it flickered and died. Dang. Well I don't have a house phone, so I was sitting there contemplating what to do without a phone on a Saturday evening, coming up on Sunday morning.. I researched it online and people had said to put it in a rice bag, because supposedly Rice sucks the moisture out..Several people said to blow-dry it.. And even more said to cook it in the oven on a bed of rice at a low heat.. Yup, I did all these things, and guess what? NONE of them worked..

Well I got up and went to church on Sunday morning, then headed over to the Apple store to see what I was in for.. Of course there was a ridiculous line, but they got me in in about 30 minutes.. Thankfully they had a new program where if you drowned your phone you could get a replacement for $200. (To buy a new one without a contract would be $700).. So I did that.. Yes, it sucked, but they took care of me quickly, and I walked out with my phone activated and back in action.. The Irony? Gary England was also in there getting a MAC! So we chatted about a new song I wrote for him..Ah yes..the bizareness of it all.

Yesterday I was in charge of Emceeing a Dog Jog at Wiley Post Park on the River. They had over 500 dog joggers, and it was a lot of fun. I took the babies in their stroller, but Payslee only wants to ride ON TOP of her stroller, and Sawyer rides inside..So I let her, because she loves it up there.

I wheeled them around, and they acted very nice. We gave out awards to the 'best dressed, look alike, best trick, smallest, largest,' and some other awards. We all had a good time.

So hopefully I have started this week off better..

Crap day Thursday

Well yesterday was NOT a good day for me. I was already irritated that Adam didn't win on American Idol, so that didn't start it off well..Then I got to the studio and Bill kept going on and on about it jacking with me, so that irritated me..Then Psychic Cyndy came in and was telling me that I'm never going to get a date if I don't get out more, so that was kinda sad..Then Psychic Cyndy left her glasses in the studio, so on my way to take them to her, I got pulled over by a cop!! GAWW! Thankfully, I didn't get a ticket, but blargh..

Well I finally got home, and sat down in my chair ready to relax...when I hear some wrestling in the blinds..I think, "Hmm, it must be a large fly, or a large june bug".. Nope, about 2 seconds later a BIRD flew out of the blinds, and onto my fireplace wall! I'm of course freaked out..I mean it was a snake in the studio last week and now a bird in my house! So I figure that if I open my door maybe it will fly out.. it does not.. So I go down the street and ask some Random worker guy to come help me. He agrees..Here is the video, but I warn you that I start cussing when It Swoops me..so **WARNING..LANGUAGE**


So I'm hoping today presents a better day..Lance Miller will be live in studio, so that makes me happy..and the New James Otto song "Since you Brought it Up" makes me very happy, so I'll revisit that.

On Wednesday I took the dogs to Lowes to buy flowers. I didn't realize that you could take them until one of our listeners, Virgina, told me she was taking her shih-tzu Mattie into there..so I thought I'd give it a try. My dogs did great, but what made me laugh was this young guy who brought his two beagles into the store. They were riding in the buggy, but I guess they were a little too excited to see other 'dog friends' and one of them jumped out! His dad came over and scolded him, but he just kept jumping out.. I was cracking up, because for ONCE it wasn't my dogs being naughty!

Hope everyone is coming out to the Picnic tomorrow in Fairmoore Park. Softball at 2, Picnic at 3 with Lance Miller..so come on! I'll be at the Dog jog on Monday doing the Emcee duties. It starts at 8, at Wiley Post Park, so bring out the dogs and we'll see you there!

Helicopter Ride and Lunch

Well what a day yesterday! We started off the morning with Bill heading out to fly Patti Petty, our winner, to work at Sysco Systems in Norman. Normally it takes her an hour and a half to get to work..with the helicopter, 37 minutes! How cool is that!






























After they dropped her off at work, we finished the show, and then got ready for lunch. It was our first "King Country Lunch Bunch". Our winner was Naoma Skull from the Oklahoma Army National Guard Environmental Office. They had a great bunch!















We all had a delicious lunch at JR's BBQ in Norman, and enjoyed talking and chatting with each other. They were a very fun group. I had fun showing them pic's on my bionic Iphone. I seriously can't stop loving my Iphone.

After lunch I went to visit my hospice friend, Dorothy who was celebrating her 63rd wedding anniversary with her husband George. How awesome is that! She loves ice cream, so I took her a Strawberry & Cream Ice Cream cake from Marble Slab and some giant "6 3" balloons to celebrate. We had a good time, and she was all dolled up to go see George in the nursing home later that evening.. Miss Dorothy is 86 years old..How cute is she!

After visiting Miss Dorothy I had to head over to Wiley Post to the Interstate Helicopter service to meet Pete the Pilot. He was awesome, and did a fabulous job. He was a great guy, and a lotta fun. We took off, and were in Norman in No time to pick up Patty at Sysco, where she works.. Here's some video..Press the 'PLAY' button..

All the Sysco gang was excited to see us as we landed. We grabbed Miss Patty and her friend Debbie and took off for Cashion to take Patty back home. The scenery right now is beautiful because of all the rain we have had. It was a fun trip. Hit PLAY again to see the ride home..

When we got to Patty's house she decided to let her husband, and son Will ride back to Wiley Post with us so that Will could ride in the helicopter too, and he had a blast! So what a day!!

Then I come home and watch Dancing with the Stars and see that Shawn Johnson won! WHAT! NOOOO! Gilles was supposed to win, so I'm irritated about that.. Adam better win tonight on Idol or I'm taking my toys and going home!!

BBQ Recipes for you..

These are from the book "300 Big & Bold Barbecue & Grilling Recipes"and I just picked a couple that sounded tasty..So here they are:

Grilled Guacamole

4 Ripe Avocados, halved & pitted
2 Jalapeno peppers (seeded and finely diced)
1 small red onion (diced)
1/4 cup fresh, chopped Cilantro
The Juice of One lime (to taste)

Prepare hot fire in the grill, and grill avocados, cut side down for 2 to 3 minutes, or until you have good grill marks, then peel and cut into chunks. In a bowl mash them together with the other ingredients and serve immediately!

Maple Ginger Butterflied Pork Chops

For the sauce:
1 clove garlic (minced)
1 tbs minced Ginger root
Half cup pure maple syrup
2tbs Cider Vinegar
4 boneless butterflied Pork chops

Hot fire in grill, and then combine all the ingredients for the chops. Grill the pork 2 min per side, then baste with the sauce, and then grill again till chops are done. Serve remaining sauce on the side. Don't Over grill..
