Well here we are.. Fall is almost here.. State Fair is in town, and I can practically smell My Favorite "Leaves" candle burning in my house! The girls are starting to get excited about getting "The Giant" and the "Bloody Clown" out because Halloween is just around the corner. They have decided on being a Skeleton (Londyn) and Queen Elsa (Crosslee) and yes.. I'm over Elsa.. but she's strong-minded on Being Elsa, and You are only little once.. However, I will tell you they both have about 15 Halloween costumes they could choose from at this point! Halloween is my favorite, so I'm looking forward to that too!
This year has literally flown by.. You know what they say "They Days are long, the Years are short" and I do find myself thinking that.. I mean I can't believe the girls are 4 and in Pre-K! They are doing pretty good.. Cross has really struggled with the amount of change that has been going on.. She is going to be a little girl that does not love Change.. Londyn on the other hand, loves everything all the time. She's truly fine with whatever situation you put her in.. so I'm 50/50.. Cross has had a hard time with going to school on a daily basis.. She was bored at home, but she likes to do things on her own time.. so She really liked only going to MDO a few days a week at Crossings with all her peeps, and then doing what she wanted on her 'days off'.. Well.. I mean don't we all love this? I'd rather do what I want all the time too, but.. thats not very realisitc..Especially for School.. because yeah, you have to go.. She loves her Teacher though, and once she gets there she has a blast. She's just a very complex little kid who already acts like a 4 year old Lawyer.. Lucky us.
Londyn on the other hand has been perfectly happy to go to school daily. She has met all kinds of friends and tells me all about her adventures daily. She is just happy like 90% of the time wherever she is at.. with whoever she is with. She's just a jolly soul. Some things never change.. like their faces.. lol She said she wanted to "Dance like the people on TV".. (we were watching those little kid dancers on America's got talent".. So we tried dance.. She loved it.. She loved Gymnastics.. We did Karate last week, she also loved that.. she's just pretty much happy doing whatever at any time.. I think we will go back to Karate though. We went to a place called "Christian Karate Academy" and it was so so awesome. They pray before.. set goals, teach respect, teach manners, teach self-confidence..and......Karate! It was the cutest thing ever to watch! So we will go back there next week.
We also had Neighbors night out in our Neighborhood and it was so fun! I love our neighborhood of always doing fun things for the kiddos and neighbors. We've still been swimming when we have time, and this weekend Gigi is Taking the Girls to Disney on Ice to see Queen Elsa.. they are very excited about this. State fair is a fun time!
Meanwhile I'm still buzzing along with my new radio gig. I have 4 jobs now.. but I love them all! I'm doing my regular Job as an IT Project Manager at Loves, I'm selling my Lipsense and loving that with all my girls, I do marketing for Spades Boutique, a cute little childrens online shop, and I've got my radio gig. On Hank FM 99.7. We stay plenty busy. If you haven't listened yet.. its an awesome station, and I'm on from 1-5pm on Saturdays, and 12-4 on Sundays.. so give it a listen! I'm enjoying it, and hoping to do more in the future.
Yeah My birthday is around the corner.. blah blah.. I'm old. I know.. blargh.. Anyway.. MJ has volunteered to take a few friends and I to a winery in Andarko for dinner and drinks.. that will be a good time.. Once again proving how awesome it is that I have a mini-van! So that will be fun.. Hope you guys are starting off your September with a bang! I'm blessed beyond I deserve and don't take it for granted! XoXo

Mr. Pooptastic..
Two words for you. POTTY. TRAINING.
Why do people do this? I really don't know.. I mean sorry for being negative here.. But I just don't see the point. I mean yeah, ok, we can't pee our pants forever.. But.. It sure seems, TO ME, that wearing diapers is easier.. and I know what people are saying.. "blah blah KC, you can't wear diapers as an adult.. etc".. Ok whatever. There are times when wearing a diaper on a road trip sounded REALLY good to me..Ask Jordan.. He will tell you, that he would MUCH rather me wear a diaper, than stop to pee 245 times.. Now.. Imagine doing that with ME and the GIRLS. See, that sounds awful.
Before I had kids.. I was always like.. Oh woopty do. You potty train them at 18 months (Because that is when My mom said I was potty trained) and call it a day.. they will get it immediately, and be bionic potty trained machines. NO. NO. NO. This is not how it goes fellas.. ITS NOT. For example.. right now.. Crosslee is 100% potty trained on Pee. She tells us she needs to go, and goes in the pot 100% of the time. YAY Cross! See that was easy!. NO. Because she does not Poop in the pot. Like ever. So now.. I ask you.. What is worse? Spending money on diapers? Or spending money on new Underwear? The diapers are cheaper. And a lot less of a mess.. But what about Cille you ask? Yeah. Haven't even started. You know why? Because Londyn Lucille doesn't do anything unless its her idea.. So here's how that would go:
ME--Londyn do you want to pee in the potty
Londyn--NO
ME--Mommy gives treats to girls who pee in the potty
Londyn--No
Me--Mommy gives gold and silver and unicorns and ponies and magic to girls that pee in the potty
Londyn--No.
I always thought that training dogs would give me a leg up on training kids. Dogs are usually pretty easy, because they are either 1) Treat Driven, or 2) Praise Driven.. For example, Miss Payslee was SUPER easy to potty train. Because she was Praise driven AND treat driven.. She had one accident, we corrected that, praised her, gave her some liver, and boom! She was completely house-trained by 8 weeks old. Then there was Sawyer.. Sawyer grew up in a cage, so we had a lot to overcome by the time I rescued him at 12 weeks. He was not praise driven at all. So it took SO..........MUCH......Longer.. Because he just didn't care.. He was always listening and watching.. but he doesn't' do anything till he's dang good and ready to do it.. I used to try to reward him with Liver.. and he would spit it at me.. That is Londyn. She's not doing it until its on her terms.. I don't care who tells her, or how great of an idea it might be. So Londyn might be one of the Kindergarten kids you see in diapers.. I'm not sure.
So.. I've given Cross a few more weeks. If she doesn't quit pooping in her pants by then, I'm just going back to diapers. Go ahead, judge away.. but I think its more stress on both of us when she doesn't get it.. So we can re-visit it later.. Maybe by that time Lucille will be ready to try. Who knows. They both may go to Kindergarten in diapers. Yay me.
In other news.. that is less 'crappy'.. see what I did there! Hey! Zing! Ok.. We had a great 4th of July.. but MAN OH MAN it was hot. Gigi Picked up the girls on Friday, and Jordan and I went down on Sunday..They had a big weekend with Gigi & Pa.. and then we went to Dads house on the 4th of July for the Big Sentinel Extravaganza.. Ok, its prob not THAT big.. but it was a parade, food in the park, and Miss Tiny Tot, and Mr. Muscle.. Techincally, the girls were allowed to enter Miss Tiny Tot.. You can enter from 3-5.. But I didn't think they would care about it this year. I was Wrong. Cross Cared. She cried the whole time the others were on the Stage.. "When is it my turn!".. I should have known.. Here's her routine.. she is doing a little dance..
We had a great time! And the girls were really sweet most of the time.. They still like holding hands, and hugging each other, and that makes us really proud. I mean geez.. whats the point of having two at a time if they aren't going to like each other.. Am I right!

But.. they always have next year.. because this year.. Cousins, Ava & Joe won! They brought home the gold and represented! So Maybe I'll work up a magical little twin routine for next year, and we can carry on the tradition.. Here's the Fabulous Four..

Jordan's Grandma died on Sunday.. Sad deal, but she got to see everyone she wanted to see and died peacefully. It was his dad's mom, Geraldine, and we got to take the girls to see her last week. Cross said the Lords Prayer to her, and told her the Love & Logic Motto.. lol.. She was happy to see them, and they brightened her day, which is why we were there. Everyone got to say their goodbyes to her, which was awesome, and she wasn't in any pain, which is the best thing we could ask for. Her funeral is this weekend, so we are going to take the girls to Tulsa for a little get-away. Hopefully they will be nice and quiet during the service.. but.. They are twin 3 year olds, so who know! I'll report back.. Hope you guys had a great 4th..and I hope you aren't potty training anything anytime soon.

Hot Weather, Good Times.
Well.. its been an interesting couple of weeks..
Before the Girls birthday Party mom had taken off work and was going to watch the girls for the week while I put the finishing touch on the Michael Jackson Party.. But Steve got really sick, and we had no idea what was going on.. So we rushed him to the ER, My Dad Kirby Rushed to get the girls.. We rushed to Western OK, then Steve was Rushed to OKC.. So it was kindof a whirlwind of events.. Turns out.. after 5 days in the hospital.. He had a bleeding Ulcer.. The fixed it.. Then he had another small one.. and they Fixed that.. Then he ended up having a Scan that showed some weird mass on his Rib.. so that led to us all freaking out.. praying.. wondering if it was Cancerous.. Finding out it was not.. Praying again... Giving Thanks.. and Celebrating. And it just really gets your minds to thinking that this Life does not last forever.
4th of July is just around the Corner.. Sentinel always has a Celebration and we are going to take the girls down there to play with their cousins. They have a contest for "Miss Tiny Tot".. but I think we will wait till next year.. By then I can work up some sort of magic Twin Tag Team Tiny Totting! Plus.. right now.. All Cross wants to do is listen to Beat it.. so I'm not sure what that routine would entail.
Mom is coming to get them tomorrow and they LOVE swimming, so they will be doing that, Riding Woody, playing in the hay, and just doing their usual Farm Adventures. I'm so grateful they will have fun Farm Moments!
There have been a few moments (A FEW.. I said) when its bee really super fun to have twins. The girls really like playing together now, and watching the way they love each other and take care of each other is really cool. God knew I was only going to get pregnant ONCE, and so he really made it count.. now they will always have a built in friend..and someone to talk about their crazy parents to.. lol

Losing my mind..
Over the past few weeks I have done some ridiculous things..
As previously mentioned.. I am still getting into other people's cars. I have no idea why this keeps happening. The other day I met mom to drop off the girls in Weatherford.. She was driving her Car.. For some reason, My mind did not acknowledge this.. I got all the girls stuff out and proceeded to put it into a white Pickup.. When I opened the door I only saw ONE carseat.. so I was like "Geez Mom, you forgot the other seat?".. No dummy.. You are in the wrong damn car!.. The worst part of this? The guy who's truck I was in.. didn't say a word.. Just like he kindof assumed I was crazy and would figure it out..and I did.. meanwhile Mom is laughing hysterically. #jerk. Lol..
Then.. I signed up, as a good steward to take a meal to a couple in our class that just had a baby.. I told them I would call in Cafe 7, and the hubby could pick it up on his way home from work since they were staying at her in-laws house.. She calls me at 6:00.. "Um, KC, is it under another name?".. Um no.. its not.. BECAUSE I NEVER CALLED IT IN.. I'm dumb. What is wrong with me! So I have to race around, call it in, and thankfully, because its Cafe 7, it was ready in 7 minutes..
Oh, and lets not forget about me meeting my friend Kristen at Zoey's Cafe.. We go there for a great lunch and chat about how crazy we are lately.. having trouble telling whether we are coming or going with 2 year olds.. Delicious conversation and food.. I leave.. Satisfied mentally and physically.. Next day I'm in the drive through at City Bites grabbing a sandwich.. Hmm.. thats odd.. where's my billfold? I don't know.. Where was the last place I saw it? I'm not sure..... Where is it?? Where is it!!! ITS AT ZOEY'S KITCHEN WHERE YOU LEFT IT YESTERDAY IDIOT!!.. So thankfully, I call, they have it, they give it back to me. Thank you Zoey's Kitchen for serving delicious food and keeping my wallet safe for me..
So as you can see... Pregnancy Brain lasts WAAAY past pregnancy.. Its still happening.. I leave my phone laying places, I forget Payslee is in the girls room and lock her in there.. I lose things that I literally just bought.. I go into a room only to forget what I went in there for.. I leave things in random places all the time..Its sad.. Its pathetic.. its Motherhood..and Getting old.. Both of which I am in the midst of..
So If I was supposed to bring you dinner.. or I accidentally got into your car.. Forgive me.. I'm Twinning..
In other news.. Its Halloween Week! We are going to the Crossings Fall Carnival.. It will be so much fun! Cross is going to be a Toad, and LL a Bumblebee.. Mom is coming up to go with us.. It will be fun with bounce houses, candy, games and more. We are excited. We took the girls to Storybook Forest in Arcadia on Tuesday and they LOVED it! So cute and fun.. Not a ton of fun for older kids (I'd say cutoff is probably 10) but little kids had a blast.. and the girls are now saying "Trick or Treat" and taking candy, lol..
This morning Cross & I were playing with her puppet Harold. He's a monkey, and I make him talk and play with her daily. She loves him. Well MJ was being funny and imitating me.. She looked over and said "Daddy! No! Stop it! Only Mommy is Harold!".. he said "Cross.. You aren't the boss of me, I can do what I want!"... She looked back at him and said "Daddy, I a Bowwwse!".. She is saying "Boss" Like Rhymes with "Louse".. I'm a Bouse! lol.. Its hilarious.. She's hilarious.. We are in trouble..

Happy Birthday To Me
Well today is my birthday.. and I have realized one important thing in the past year and a half since the girls were born.. If you are going to have twins, do it in your 20s! lol.. I know that sounds ridiculous..but when MJ and I decided to try for a baby, we were thinking "Oh no problem, we can certainly handle one between the two of us!".. but now we have TWO and we are starting to get worried.. lol
We have both started going to the gym, and losing weight. He's being forced into eating healthier because I'm cooking more at home for the girls and I.. After 5 weeks on Weight Watchers, I'm down 19lbs.. Not terrible.. But also pretty boring.. But I suppose doing it the right way takes longer, and since I'm committed to doing this for a year, I've only got time right??
So as another year of my life has gone by I've realized a few things..
1) I'm a dang good Mom.
Contrary to what other people THOUGHT I would be.. I'm a pretty great mom. I have never been a 'kid' person per say.. I didn't even know if I would have kids, so I think when I told my close friends I was pregnant.. with twins.. they were scared.. Like for real. I know Brandon worried about my sanity..and the girls sanity as well.. Last year on my birthday they were only about 4 months old, and still not that fun.. but this year, they are awesome, and a TON of fun. I encourage them to learn, build, stay outside, explore and be creative. At 16 months they can't really do all of that.. but every day I try to make it count. Even if its something as small as a trip to Sams, I do it because I know they are going to see someone new, or find a new treasure. They are like little sponges right now, so I love getting them out of the house to be curious. I don't spend as much time as I'd like to with them, but every second I'm with them counts, and we make it count.
I read constantly about the best parenting tips, what kids like to play with, what 'wonder week leap' they are going through, and how to best teach them. I cook.. LOTS of great stuff..and thankfully (Partially thanks to Baby Led Weaning) my girls EAT lots of great stuff. They love everything I make..with garlic, with chia seeds, with flaxseed, with spinach.. Its great, and I love how much they enjoy it.
I don't let other people bother me when they try to convince me that their child is a prodigy.. Thankfully I have a pretty good BS meter, so I just laugh it off and move on... and then point and laugh later when thinking about it. I don't worry about doing what 'everyone else is doing'.. I do what works for us, and if you ever look at my girls, you will see immediately that they are truly full of joy. Thats what for sure lets me know that MJ and I are doing a great job. The girls are full. of. joy. So blessed for that.
2) I'm always going to want to be on the radio.
I have a great job. I work with great people.. I'm super grateful that I have been able to find a good career after leaving radio.. but just like a singer who always wants to sing.. I'm always going to be an entertainer who always wants to entertain. Its my passion, my love, and what I'm supposed to do in this world.. I'll get back to it in some capacity eventually. But in the meanwhile I'm super thankful for my "row" of folks I work with, and the fact that I have an amazing boss, working for a great company.
3) I'm capable of more than I thought I was.
Twins are double the blessings. Twins are double the fun. Twins are hard. Now that the girls are walking, they are walking in 2 different directions and MJ and I are always chasing them. I don't even WANT to think about the terrible 2's.. It scares me.. My girls are the best babies in the world, but there are still two of them, and being a parent is CONSTANT. I would have never thought I was capable of getting two nekkid toddlers in a bathtub, or carrying both of them when they want to be picked up.. Or getting them both dressed to the 9's for church every Sunday.. But I am. People constantly ask MJ and I? "How did you do it with two?" Well.. what was the alternative? lol.. Giving one back? Shipping one off? God never gives you more than you can handle and I'm happy and proud to see what we have accomplished in this past year.
4) I have great people around me.
First, I have an amazing husband. Men that have twins, do NOT get any breaks.. When I' was feeding one baby, he was feeding the other.. and as they have gotten older, its still constant. Londyn Lucille is a daddies girl, and there is rarely a time when he doesn't have a baby on his lap, or I'm asking him to help me with something. I think dads that have ONE baby get off a little easier because the baby is predominantly dependent on the mom for everything.. but with two babies, you gotta have 2 sets of hands. No rest for the Weary. I'm so thankful I married the right man and that God built him just for me.
MJ and I are so thankful for our family and our church. These people have babysat, brought over meals, prayed for us, and eased our minds when we thought we were for sure losing them. Having our parents around us always willing to help and our church praying for us, and strengthening our walk with the Lord has been such a blessing to us. Its also been amazing watching our parents form relationships with our kids that are going to last a lifetime. Watching their eyes get excited when one of their grandparents come over has been such a joy to both of us. There is nothing better than watching someone you Love, Love your kids. And knowing we are raising them in a community of awesome church people who love them, help us take care of them, and build them up makes us really proud as parents. We are also super thankful for Uncle Brandon and Uncle Chant who make the girls laugh every time we see them. We have some great friends too!
5) Happiness & Positivism is a Choice..
Everyday we wake up we can choose to be happy, or choose to be miserable. We can choose to focus on the negative things our spouse does that irritate us, or we can choose to focus on the positive. ITs a choice.. You teach people how to treat you, and you train your brain how to think. So if you don't want to be around negative thoughts, you shouldn't hang out with negative people that constantly drain your energy or bring you down.. Everybody has bad days, and everyone has issues.. but the way you choose to handle them is up to you. I have chosen to give my problems to the Lord, and know that we can work through them together, and good or bad, I know and trust that he is going to take care of me. Life is not all rainbows and unicorns.. But through Trials Comes Grace. I choose to be positive for my marriage, and my children. I choose to focus on the blessings of my life than everything I don't have, because my blessings are over flowing, and my troubles are pretty meaningless compared to others.

So as another year goes by I can only get excited about the possibilities of greatness. Fun with my girls, Quality time with my Husband, and spending time with those people who are near and dear to my heart. I can't beleive the Holidays are already approaching! This is going to be such a fun season!
We are headed to the farm this weekend to take the girls to the Fall Festival.. Then we will let them visit Pops and Grammy, and we are going to try to take some pics of them with twin baby calves that Papa had on the farm. We are bottle feeding them, so it will be perfect. My life is never perfect, but I could not ask for more.
