Zoo Fun, and playing Catch-up

Sorry..I'm behind here.. I'll try to catch everybody up..

Ok, so after the girls had their big birthday party we thought it would be fun to take them on their first Zoo visit.. It was a perfect day, cloudy and overcast..So not too terribly Hot.. which is good because MJ hates the heat.. So it was really nice.. They liked the Birds the best.. especially the Peacocks, because they were loud and came right up to them.

They also enjoyed petting the goats, and the little donkey's.. And looking at the Giraffe's.. We stayed about 3 hours, and they were sleepy, so we went home after that..but it was a great first visit! Can't wait to go back again!

(Cross saying "Here" and "Thank you" in her Play-land)

We have been busy the past few weeks. Gigi & Papa kept the girls 2 weekends ago for the WHOLE weekend.. Jordan & I had a TON of stuff to do.. mainly cleaning, and its pretty much impossible to clean with two mobile toddlers.. Cross is full on walking everywhere now, and LL is a fast crawler! So the whole weekend we cleaned and got everything done..

We built the girls an outside play land.. I wanted them to have some place to go outside during the day, that was shaded, with a pool and fun stuff.. Stuff they could do with Leslie.. so We built them a big outside area. Its 16x12.. We put a crab pool, a ball pit, their playhouse, their kitchen, some birthday toys, their water table, and a couple of chairs in there.. Then last weekend I also built them a sensory board and hung it up on the wall.. I made it out of random things.. It was cheap.. I had the leftover turquoise glitter paint from their nursery.. So I used that. I had the leftover L & C from their birthday party, so I glued that on.. Then we got samples from Home depot of different types of carpet, and textures.. Got them some locks and gadgets and glued those on.. They don't care that much about it yet..but I think they will in the next few months..

The girls had a big time at Gigi and Papa's.. Steve had a retired show heifer out there named Lulu and the girls loved her.. They also met their new Donkey, Kris.. Cross also found a turtle.. she tried to Kiss him, but we told her that was not a good idea..

They are at SUCH a fun age.. Cross is talking and babbling constantly.. LL loves seeing things and saying "OOOO!" She gets so excited she growls.. They are so full of joy, and everything is a new adventure..its so much fun.

It does make it a little harder to corral them.. We went & Met GT & Nana at Cafe 501 the other night for dinner, and after the girls eat.. all they want to do is crawl around and be wild.. Cross wanted to follow the waiter all over the place and help him take orders.. So we have about a 30 minute window to eat now, lol.. But they love going out.. They say "Hi" to everyone they see, and they love people to talk to them.. Complete strangers come up to us wherever we are at to tell us how pretty they are, and play with them..

At Sams last week I was watching LL in the basket, and she started to smile really big.. Well I looked behind me and a woman and a man were doing Peek-A-Boo with her.. in the store.. making fools of themselves.. Which I truly appreciated.. lol

When we take them to church, they love to sit by the elevators and wait for people to walk by so they can visit with them.. They give big cheesy smiles to suck people in, and then entertain them by saying "Hi" and smiling non stop.. And they are pretty cute..

This weekend we are going to the farm to have their 1 year pictures taken.. I'm excited. They are so photogenic that I think it will be fun. We are going to do it early in the morning, and also try to take a few pictures with them..

The girls had their 1 year checkup on the 13th. They did really good.. LL weighs 22lbs, Cross is 24, and they are both 30" long. They each got 3 shots, and that hurt their feelings, but they got over it pretty quickly..

(My mom got these ponies when I was pregnant.. now they can finally ride them!)

They made it a year before they ever even went to the dr for anything other than a checkup.. but last week when I got home from work, LL had thrown up her lunch, and she kept getting sick.. Apparently they caught a virus.. Which made me sick, because I had forgotten to Oil them! Up until that point, I had been oiling them with essential oils every day.. (I use On Guard from Doterra, and Thieves from Young living).. So I feel like if I had been oiling them we could have avoided it.. thankfully it was short lived. LL was better by the time she went to bed, but Cross woke up at 11:30 with it, and was sick most of the night. I brought her to bed with us, and she got better around 4am, woke up jolly and good at 6am.. Then I got it the next day.. then Jordan the next day.. blargh.. It was short-lived, but it sucked.. We are now oiling religiously to avoid those types of things in the future.. I know sickness builds their immune systems, but it sucks! Just glad they are ok now.. it just had to work its way out of their system.

Thats about it.. I think you are caught up.. I know, I know.. I'm still not podcasting.. but I will.. Oh, and if you want any baby stuff, I put a ton of the girls cute stuff up on FB.. You can look at it here..  I've got to get rid of stuff, so I can get new stuff of course!! MJ & I are doing really good in our jobs.. We love our church familly so much, and have been really enjoying that part of our lives.. We count our blessings every day for all the wonderful people around us and our precious family!

Our Ladybugs are ONE!

Well My girls are officially a YEAR old.. We made it! I know for MJ and I sometimes we didn’t think that would be possible.. and I’m sure the girls thought the same thing a few times, but they are doing so great. They are healthy, happy, and the jolliest little souls! They are good eaters, full of curiosity, and sweet!

The Party was amazing. We had it at MJ’s dad’s house in Norman and we went ALL OUT. It was over the top,(Even for me).. I know.. I know.. But it turned out perfect. I had read too many pinterest posting though and went a little crazy with those..but they all turned out great! Here’s some pics of all the décor..

The girls took a nice nap before the party so they were super excited and ready to play when they got there.. I went over early to decorate and then MJ brought them over.. When they got there all of their people were waiting for them.. So excited and happy to see them. I cannot tell you what a blessing it was to see all of the girls favorite people in one setting just celebrating them! They were so happy to look around the room and see everyone cheering for them! It meant a lot to Jordan and I to see everyone there too.. We are very blessed with an awesome set of family and friends. We could not have made it through this year without them, and our amazing church family.

Several people have already asked me about all the stuff and where its from, so I’m going
to try to provide a list with some links and information..

The Invitations were from Etsy, a shop called Rachelle's Printables, and they required me to assemble them.. but they were really cute, and worth it..When you opened them, you had to open the ladybug wings.. Super Cute. Thats why I had to have 'brads' which apparently are not that popular now, because it took me 2 stores to find them!  I also ordered custom stamps with the girls pictures on it from Picture It Postage for the invitations, LOVED those!

The Smash cakes were made by Nicolette’sRaspberries & Cream. and they were GOOD. It was all whipped cream on the top and yummy cake in the middle. I will say that I’m not sure black icing was the BEST idea.. As you can see, Crosslee loved it, and smeared it all over her face. After trying to get it off for about 15 minutes, we accepted that she was going to look like her teeth were rotting out and that she had a ‘bruised’ face.. lol.. I took a bite of it, and I looked like I had rotten teeth too.. it was great. But it tasted delicious!

The cookies were made by 1 Smart Cookie.. Good grief, if you have not had their cookies you are missing Out. They are soo good.. Most people look at how pretty they are and think they are not going to taste good, but they taste amazing! They did a great job with them.. so delicious. I was obsessed with these cookies while I was pregnant..so its only fitting that I have them at the first birthday party!

The cupcakes were made by two different places. The Ladybug Cupcakes were made by Green Goodies on Classen Curve. They were confetti cupcakes and so cute. The Fancy Cupcakes were from Fancy Cakes inNorman and they tasted SO good.. I loved that the icing was cream cheese icing and not just schmowy non-taste-good icing.. All the cupcakes were delightfully Yummy!

Their Poofy Birthday Dresses came from a shop on Etsy.. She did a custom order for me and made 1 red and 1 black to change it up a little bit. We LOVED them. These were over the top, even for me, but they were so cute on. LL didn’t know what to do with hers.. Cross powered through hers walking, but she was confused at first..
I ordered the headbands separate, also from boutiques on Etsy and we loved them. LL's was from HERE, And Cross's was from HERE..

They had 3 wardrobe changes at the party.. fabulous I know.. They started off in their big ladybug dresses.. then we changed them into their custom made bibs (also from Etsy) and  leg warmers. Then their 3rd outfit, which was also from Etsy, was custom made 1st ladybug shirtswith their names on it, complete with matching sequin tutu’s.. These were so cute. I also ordered ladybug necklaces to go with them. The lady that made their necklaces did a great job.. we loved them.

We got the High-chair tutu skirts off Etsy as well (are you seeing a theme here). She also did a custom order for us, and made one red and one black, so they would each be a little different. These were so cute and we hot-glued them/tied them onto the chairs. Their custom chalkboards came from Chalking it up Chalkboards.. So cute. You fill out the info you want on them, and then they fill it out and send you a jpeg.. You then take them to like Kinko's, or wherenver and get them printed in the size you want. We did 11x14's, and then I found 1/2 off cute frames at Hobby Lobby.. Excellent! I also couldn't help but glue some bling to the oustide of them.. so they were perfect!

I did the giant #1 myself.. I found the idea on Pinterest and just took 5 pieces of foam board, glued them together, and then used spray adhesive to make the #1 full of pics.. It turned out super cute. We put it right as people walked into the house so they could see all the pics. I ordered a bunch of pics from Shutterfly with a special promo they had going on for like 1 cent.. I also used a coupon from retailmenot.. As you can tell, its freakin huge.. like 7ft tall.. Hard to fit in a car? Yes.. Did we make it happen? Well duh. ..
We also put together a ladybug tent for the kiddo's to play in.. It was pretty cute. Got it from Zulily.. I think it was like $13.. My girls are still playing in it, and love it!
The rest of the party décor came from Amazon and Oriental trading.. Ladybug plates, cups, center pieces, happy birthday banners, cupcake toppers, straws, balloons, bubbles & ladybug treat bags. I filled the treat bags with cheese popcorn from the Popcorn Pharmacy.. It was delicious! They have a million flavors, but we went with the regular cheese kind..I also ordered a custom made "Happy birthday" sign from Oriental Trading, and they did a great job with it. It came with stakes for the yard.. Very cute.

I made homemade punch, and Koolaid to drink.. and put it in the “Polka dot Punch” bottles.. Also super cute. I took the baby water bottles from Sams, and put Koolaid in them and made it into ladybug punch! I bought red plastic forks, and then added jewels to the end of them.. Bought the stick on jewels from Hobby Lobby.. As you can tell.. we went WAY over the top for this.. lol.. We will NOT be doing it again.. Not to this extent anyway..

From Hobby Lobby I got the “C & L” and put them on the table.. I also made a table topper box with ladybugs and an L & C complete with bugs and glitter.. We tied big bows on the backs of the chairs with tulle, and hung balloons throughout the place. Everyone went on and on about how great everything looked..

I also ordered their 'month by month' pictures from Walgreens.. Did a giant collage of the pics and featured it with an easel when people walked in.. I ordered it the same day, and was able to pick it up same day, so thats cool. You can also usually get really good coupons from retailmenot.com and that helps for sure! They have coupons for EVERYTHING..

So as you can see, we had a great time, and a great party. I feel like I missed it because I was racing around, taking pics, filling punch, making popcorn, etc.. but it all turned out so great, and the girls just LOVED it, along with the guests. The house was beautiful, everyone enjoyed each other, and the girls loved all their treats and goodies! Thank you so much to everyone who helped, contributed with their cute stuff, and showed up to celebrate!

Watermelon Crawl

So I had an excellent Mother's Day Weekend.. We went to the farm to visit all the Grandparents out West, and had fun. We let the girls eat Watermelon for the first time, and that was entertaining. Cross was more a fan than LL. Cross just tore into it and smashed it into her face. LL was more delicate about things, and just ate small pieces. That's the way they are about everything.. Cross like a bull in a china closet, busting through things, and LL taking one step at a time..

We also let them swim in their floaters. We had these little things with canopies, and we put the in there.. They didn't swim in the pool, because it was too cold, so we let them float in the hot tub.. they also enjoyed this.. On Saturday we went to see my dad in Sentinel.. The girls love going to visit him because he does ridiculous things to entertain them.. Plus they have all of Joe & Ava's (Nephew & Niece) toys leftover, so they love that.. And we fed them BBQ.. which they also loved.. So win/win..Cross learned to play the drum at dads.. she enjoyed that a great deal..and LL learned that she really loves Grammy J's sweet tea! (uh oh)

On Saturday evening we went out to eat at Prairie Fire.. The girls had Pasta, and loved it. I can't help but laugh at Papa Steve, because Cross likes to sit by him and them offer him her food.. and then also wipe it all over his arms. He takes this pretty well, lol. She's also hilarious because at both my dad's house, and at Prairie Fire she will throw food on the floor and say "Da! Da!" which means DOG! Dad doesn't have dogs, so Cross just looks down and waits for dogs to magically appear.. same at restaurants.. I have to admit, there is some awesome benefits to having dogs.. One being the do act like garbage disposals.. which is helpful. But Cross & LL assume everyone has dogs, so Cross will eat something, throw a piece down, eat something, throw a piece down.. because she is sharing with her dogs.

My Mothers day Present from MJ and the girls was a massage.. so On Sunday when we got back he went to visit his brother and I went and got a massage.. I still have this annoying cough that apparently I'm never going to get rid of.. so that was the only downside of the weekend.. I've been to the Dr. 3 times, and they have told me I have crappy allergies.. Yup. I know that. Thanks.. But I still have a cough. Blargh.. annoying..

In other news, with Mothers Day happening this weekend, I was thinking back to last year when MJ & I were thinking that that would be my last Mothers day before I had the girls.. Now we look back and we are just shocked that the girls are here..and we still have two of them! Their birthday is coming up and we were driving down the road the other day and I said "Can you believe we made it through the first 4 months?" He said.. "NOPE".. lol.. And we really can't. Now the girls are fun and do funny things every day. LL has started making this sour-patch face. Its pretty hilarious. (see below).. If you say something she does not like.. you get this face.. It cracks us up.
Cross is all over the place.. she's so funny to me, but she's also started to push the boundaries. They have both started swatting at each other, which we are trying to curb.. But Cross will knock over anything that is in her way.. including me.. including tables.. including her sister.. lol.. She's so determined, and so very smart. She catches onto things quick, and she loves to read books. She cracks us up with her joy. She is seriously the happiest girl ever. We have really been blessed in that department.. this weekend Steve said "Are they ever NOT happy?" and we said "yes, when they are tired"..but thats it..

We are also super fortunate to have so many people around us willing to help.. to give us a break, to give us a hand, to give us a pat on the back! We love all our friends and family, and church, and value all those relationships. The girls are now to the age where they remember people and that is really fun to watch too. Last week Chantry came over and Cross was doing this funny thing that she also does with Brandon, where she smiles really big at them.. .then looks away..... big smile and reaches for them... then turns away. She's a little baby flirt & it makes me laugh. They are something I thought I would never have, but now I can't imagine my life without them..

Something kinda sad.. last week I did have to put my 17 year old dog, Rally to sleep.. It was really hard because we had been through so much together. I got him when I was in college, he moved with me to  Corpus, he went to radio events with me.. He was a good, good dog, and he will be missed. But I know he is super excited to see Pandora again on Rainbow Bridge, and I know he is happy to be healthy again!

Twinsies in the Rye

What a difference 11 months makes.. Just look at my little babies in their newborn pics, and then my sassy girls now.. I still cannot believe I had twins! Who does that! lol.. Its still shocking to me every day, but I quickly remember when I go into their rooms in the morning and try to figure out how to easily carry BOTH of them to their high-chairs for breakfast! Everything is harder..

But.. one of the most awesome things is watching their relationship start to blossom.. We went to Canute last weekend and mom has 2 cribs for them in a bedroom.. We pushed their cribs together and they had the BEST time..They would both stand up and look over their crib and giggle and talk to each other. They would spend about 30 minutes/night just giggling and talking to each other before Cross finally gave up and passed out.. but it was so cute to watch.. So thats pretty cool.. because otherwise they would just be in there by themselves.. not mine, they have each other!
Watching their relationship has been funny the past few weeks. Sometimes they are so sweet to each other, and then other times they are pushing each other and poking in the face. LL has started pushing Cross in the face, and it never ends well.. Because then Cross pushes her back, or squeezes her arms, and LL does NOT like that.. Plus Cross is crazy strong.. So we have been telling them to 'be sweet' and working on things like that with them.. I'm thinking this is always going to be an issue.. lol..
So when we got back to OKC, we also pushed their cribs together and found that they still like talking to each other and giggling before they go to bed. Its funny because Cross just cannot stay up as long as LL.. so she eventually just sits down with her Owl, and gradually lays down.. Meanwhile, LL is just chatting up a storm.. lol.. I'm thinking that will be their relationship MOST of their lives.

So over the weekend at the farm, Mom gave the girls these little ponies that one of her friends had gotten for them at their baby shower.. They sing a little song and Rock..Both of the girls loved them. Cross liked putting her hands in the horses mouse while he was singing to her, and LL loved riding him.

We Also took the girls to the Canola Field. Last year at this time I was around 35 weeks pregnant and the Canola was beautiful, so MJ and I stopped on our way to church and took a pic of me in the Canola.. So this year, Mom and I put the girls in the canola.. It was hard getting them to pose because Cross just wanted to EAT the Canola.. But we got some cute pics. We also put them in the rye across the road from us, and those turned out really cute. They are really good little posers.

On Sunday we got up and took the girls to see Pops & Grammy J in Sentinel. Dad had been wanting to take them to church for awhile to show them off, so we met them there.. The girls had fun. They went back to the nursery and played with these cool wooden tables. They always act pretty great in the nursery, and I'm glad about that. LL loves playing with the other kids.. and Cross just loves exploring new toys and things.

We had a great weekend. We still have not taken them to the Zoo yet, but that is on the horizon. We get a special Zoo pass at Loves, so we will use it soon.

I have had a ridiculous allergy cough for the past 2 weeks and I'm so sick of it. I've went to the Dr. twice for it, and so far we can't get it much better.. But I think the stuff I'm taking now is working better, b/c I don't sound like a hacker today (AS BAD).

Last week I went to Hobby Lobby to get some stuff for the girls Bday party projects I'm doing.. I actually saw a grown woman take yarn and throw it at the cashier! Apparently she didn't think the line was moving quick enough, so just lost it, and threw the yarn.. At what point do you get in your life where throwing yarn is acceptable? I'm not sure.. but it made me laugh..

These are the girls chalkboards for their bday. I love them. I got the frames half off at Hobby Lobby... and the designs came from Etsy. Then I jazzed the frames up with a little bling (of course I did).. They turned out perfect. I also loved their invitations, which also came from Etsy.. They were ladybugs with wings that moved.. SO cute. I might be getting a bit ridiculous with this party.. but they only turn ONE ONCE right!!

Easter Fun For All

We had a great weekend.. It didn't start off great.. On thursday when I went home LL was running a fever and acting very sad.. So I thought I had better take her in.. So I loaded the girls up and took them down to the 1st Kids After care clinic.. Which is is pretty great by the way.. Its a clinic made up of all the Pediatricians from Northwest Pediatrics, so you always see a great pediatrician.. Well when we got there she started acting a lot better (of course) and we found out that she had her top 2 teeth coming in.. and

was probably getting a cold.. Which seems to be the norm these days.. Every kid I see has a snotty nose these days.. So.. We went home.. The awesome thing about colds is that your baby gets like 25 of them.. and there is nothing you can do for them, so there's that stick of awesome sauce.. Thankfully, Mine don't seem to be too bothered by colds..or teething.. So we just gave her some tylenol and she was good to go.

I had a fun day with them on Friday. I took the day off (Because MJ was off too) and Cross & I went to the Good Friday Service and invited our Friends, Jenn and Jude.. LL stayed at home since her teeth were still hurting and just hung out with dad.. The Good Friday service at Crossings is INCREDIBLE. Its emotional, its hard to watch, and its powerful.. But its something everyone needs to see because you need to know and feel the sacrifice that Jesus made for us.. So I was glad I went, and glad I brought a friend.

After church we went home and let the girls open their Easter baskets from us.. We knew they would be getting baskets all weekend long, so we let them open ours.. They got Bunnetta (for LL) and Penny Chicken (For Cross).. They were Scentsy buddies so they smell delicious. So that was a fun time.. Then we strolled around the neighborhood and had a great lil family day..

On Saturday 2 of Jordan's Uncles came to town. One from TX,(Jim) and another from California,(Larry and Susi) so we went to see all of them at Jordan's dad's house. The last time I saw all of them I was a big pregnant lady, so it was nice to see everyone again with my little 10 month old babes! The girls got to meet Jordan's grandma for the first time too, so we had a big time. They had Easter baskets and ate some BBQ. We had a good time..they still were not 100%, but they had fun..and they looked super cute in their bunny dresses! Everyone enjoyed them, and they love being little hams. Cross was showing off her walking skills by pushing her walker, and LL was being her charming, sweet self..

ON Sunday mom came up and went to Church with us.. Steve is still not doing that great from his back surgery.. They said it could take 6-8 months for him to really see a difference.. well right now he's not seeing ANY difference, so we are hoping and praying that it starts to turn around pretty soon. Church was awesome though.. as Crossings Easter always is.. Uncle Brandon and his kiddo's joined us too.. It did not disappoint.. It moves my heart when I walk into a church and see 5,000 other people that are all there to worship and celebrate the Lord.. It also moves my soul when I see that many talented people in the Orchestra that are volunteering their time to come and play every Sunday. Its so awesome. I missed seeing my dad & Joni at Easter. Grant & Lexi were at his house, but we will get to go there next year and hunt eggs with Cousin Joe & Ava!

After Church we had lunch at the Delta Cafe and then the girls wanted to take a nap.. So while they were napping, MJ and I got some things done and then mom kept them while we went out to eat at Cheevers.. I had not been there, but they had chips with Blue Cheese on them as an appetizer, so of course I was down.. They were delicious. I had the Salmon and MJ had the Spare Ribs.. Both were awesome. We will go back there for sure.

Mom had to get up and go to the dentist on Monday so she stayed the night. Everybody had a great weekend.. Banks the Golden-doodle is doing great.. she is still stealing stuff, and I still need to get her into some classes soon to teach her some manners..but she is super sweet and she loves the girls. The Shih-tzu's are doing good too.. Its about the end of the road for Rally though. He's not getting around very good anymore, and his quality of life is not great.. So we may have to start thinking about that soon. But he's had an amazing life. I'm so honored to say that he has been MINE his whole 17 years of life.. Never had to be re-homed, or adopted, or slept somewhere he didn't want too.. he's been taken care of his WHOLE life by ME.. Always had the best food, the best care, and the best family. That is an accomplishment I'm really proud of.. especially since I see so many people giving up their dogs because they dont' do exactly what they want, or they have a baby, or they tear up their yard.. Rally has been mine for 17 years and I've given him an amazing life. This makes me happy.

Its weird to think that this time last year I was a month away from having the girls.. When I think back on that it seems like not very long ago.. I remember being so miserable because the girls were so big and heavy.. I could barely walk, and could only stand up for like 5 minutes at a time..Its so funny thinking about them being there, and now being out and little people.. MJ and I look at them every day and think "Can you believe we created those little people?" God is so good, and has such amazing plans.. I can't even begin to think about what his plans are for them..I'm so excited to find out, and so blessed that he has made MJ & I a part of their journey.

Are they Twins???

OMGosh..If one more person asks Jordan and I out in public "Are they Twins?" We are going to start getting clever with our answers.. These are a few of my favorite options...

  • "No, we actually just found an extra out in the parking lot and thought we'd bring her in too"
  • "Nope, I thought it'd be convenient to buy a double stroller & a second car seat so I could carry a doll too."
  • "Nope, it was 2 for 1 day at the hospital"
  • "No, they're actually triplets but we lost one at the mall"
  • "Yes, from two different fathers"
  • "No, that one is the other ones shadow"

I know they mean well..and are only trying to bring up a conversation because they want to talk to my adorable girls.. but sometimes you just almost can't help yourself..

Now lets talk about the obnoxious things people say to us when they find out they ARE in fact twins;

  • "Wow, you've got your hands full" --NO! You think?!?!
  • "Better you than me"---Now this one is just rude..
  • "Man they are cute, but I don't want one"--Oh I'm sorry.. did I forget to take the 'for sale' sign off one?"... I mean really.. who says THAT.
  • "How do you tell them apart?"--Well they look nothing alike to us, so its not very hard.
  • "Do they have their own language?"---Well since they aren't talking.. I don't know. Maybe??
  • "Which is the good one?"--Ok, rude. No one would ever ask someone with a singleton if they are 'good' or 'bad'.. so why ask twins? Which is the good one? The one not crying!!!
  • "Double Trouble"--This is unfair..No child should be labeled as Trouble!!!
  • "Are they Identical, fraternal, Paternal?"--Um, they are frantrnal.. Maternal yes, they have a mom, I'm her... Paternal, yes, they have a father..thats MJ..

Ok, so onto the next.. We had a great weekend last weekend. The girls had their 3rd lesson at Aquatots. They are getting better at putting their face under water and blowing bubbles.. Cross also is getting really good at gripping the side of the wall, and LL is doing great on her kicking! They like splashing the most, and seeing the other babies in the water. Cross was swimming by a little girl named Elle, and Elle reach over and held her hand. It was pretty cute.

After Swimming we went home and let the girls take a nap, and then when we woke up we took them to the park to play. LL liked wearing her sunglasses. They loved playing on the quilt.. They aren't sure about grass yet, so they were happy to just play on the quilt and have some snacks. I bought some frozen blueberries, since the others seem to be out of season now, and gave them to them.. GOOD GRIEF..they love blueberries so much! I also made them salmon patties, and spinach balls.. They loved all of that.. So far they love everything.. They also love swinging at the park.

I also found these amazing products from BOON.. They are bowls.. WITH SUCTIONS! What! So this stops the girls from throwing them over the edge, or playing the drums with them, and teaches them to eat from a bowl. We are at that stage now, where we are trying to teach them to eat with bowls, plates, and utensils..

This morning we tried eating Yogurt out of them.. Not a total success.. yet.. lol.. but they do love eating their berries out of it.. We haven't tried the plates yet, but I'm thinking they would also be awesome to take to restaurants.. So after the Park we picked up the Dog babes from the Groomer and took them to play in their field. The dogs had been at the groomer for awhile, so they were excited to run free, play, and be dogs.. They loved it. And they were all so puffed and cute. The girls strolled around watching them play.

On Sunday we had a fun time too.. We got up and went to church, and then to Home Depot.. the girls like shopping.. partly because people talk to them all the time, and they like that.. We bought some stuff for our lawn stuff.. Our lawn looks terrible.. the front has weeds, and the back has stuffed animal, dog toy carcasses laying all over where Banks has torn up everything.. I took her rollerblading for the first time the other day (me on skates, not her) and she was scared at first, but then liked it because she got to run.. Then we took the girls to the Mall to pickup MJ's new video game "Tital Fall".. well guess who was there.. THE EASTER BUNNY!! Cross went crazy for the Easter Bunny.. It was like her best day ever. It was like one of her stuffed animals came alive and met her at the Mall! She immediately went to him, giggling, and petting him.. lol.. LL loved him too, but she wasn't quite as crazy as Cross was! It was hilarious!

So we had a great weekend.. This is their last lesson at Aquatots.. They are going to take a couple of weeks off, and then we will start up again..

This is a video of how much the girls love their daddy.. especially when he is doing Kung Fu to them..

Crosslee will be walking in like 2 weeks. She is now standing by herself, and pushing her walker around. She's close! Are we ready for this!!! Probably not.. lol..

Also, if you guys haven't made your Easter Plans I'd like to invite you to Crossings. We have all sorts of options for services for you to go to, and they are ALL AWESOME. I first visited Crossings 6 years ago on an Easter Sunday and I've been there ever since.. because it was THAT good. Now I'm just so excited to call it my Church Home and go there.. Don't be intimidated by the size.. Once you get in, you will be glad you got there!!

People say the darndest things..

Well we had a pretty great weekend..On Thursday Steve checked into the Spine Hospital to have his back surgery. It went really well, but of course was painful and awful for a few days..He got to go home on Sunday, and things are going well so far. He feels MUCH better than he did BEFORE the surgery so that is an answered prayer. SO..On Friday Mom took us to PF Changs. The girls were BIG fans of Noodles, and Chicken at PF's.. Of course, who are we kidding.. the girls are big fans of ALL food. I'm so proud of that. They have tried almost everything they could get their hands on! They had Kiwi, blackberries, and brisket last week! They just love food!! I'm so glad.. because I've seen picky kids, and I don't want any of those, lol.. Our lives are packed full enough without having to take specific foods everywhere we go!

On Saturday the girls had their 2nd Lesson of Aquatots. They really do not care for having their face dunked in water.. The 1st time they didn't mind it, but this time they didn't like it.. and they don't love the Swim Instructor.. But they love splashing and sailing around in the water. They are learning to Kick, hold onto the sides, and to get up on a raft. Its basically for muscle memory, but they do have fun. We have 2 more lessons with that.

After Aquatots We took the girls to visit Jordan's dad and Stepmom, Rhonda,  in Norman (GT &Nana). They kept the girls for us so MJ and I could go watch "Noah". I had a lot of people tell me not to waste my money.. that it was Non Christian, All Hollywood, not true to the bible story, etc.. BUT.. I liked it.. Yes, it was a bit ridiculous. (There are Rock people in it) but it was good.. And I think if even one person watches the movie and is curious about the story of Noah in the bible, and reads it, that is one more person that is asking about Jesus. Plus, I think Noah DID probably need some help.. Was it Rock People? I don't know.. but if you are building an Arc and you and your family are the ONLY ones that get to get on it.. I'm guessing there are going to be ANGRY mobs trying to storm the Boat! So maybe it was Rock People, Maybe the Lord Smited them, Maybe Dinosaurs ate them.. Who knows.. But I found the movie entertaining, and good. We had not been to the movie in a long time..and the Popcorn with Real Butter at the Warren is Legit. MM MM MM.. How I love Popcorn.

So in other weird things that happen to KC news...The Other day Crosslee & I went to Walmart to grab some groceries (LL was napping) and in the parking lot I look up and an elderly woman is pulling down the lid to the trunk.. Well she misses, and falls DIRECTLY back on her head on the pavement.. Didn't catch herself..Didn't break her fall with her arms.. falls DIRECTLY into pavement backwards. I was like a Lady on fire.. I jump OUT of my almost still moving vehicle, threw it into park, (in the parking lot row) and go to save her. Well I get there, and as I'm helping her up she says "I've got a tough head" and gets up, gets into her car and drives off!! Tough old Bird that one!! I was so glad she was ok..I thought for sure she would have broken her head or something..It looked so awful. I can still see it playing out in slow-mo in my mind now..Speaking of Elderly People.. I got my car back finally.. Its all good as new.

But then Bob Moore Kia did the dumbest thing. They call me and claim that another customer wants to buy my car because they are looking for my Exact car and it is easier for them to buy the car back from me, than to find one at an auction..and if I sell them back my car, they will give me a new car to replace it.. So MJ goes down there, and sure enough, this ends up being a dumb scam.. as a way for them to try to talk us into a NEW car for more money, and more car payments.. then they wouldn't give Jordan his keys!! Idiots.. This is truly unfortunate, because the reason we bought my car there is because they were no-haggle, no pressure.. and now they pull this crap. Disapproving Bob Moore, disappointing.

We are busy planning the girls first birthday party. We are super excited about it, and so excited that we have so many good people around them, who love them unconditionally and just want to squeeze them all the time! When you see other people who love your kids, it just puts a smile on your face! And if they love my dogs, even better!! Having children has made me realize more than ever how important it is to set good examples and start traditions that are going to last a lifetime, and we are so thankful for our church family and the folks that help us do that. We have also learned that it takes a village to raise these girls, and we are so thankful for the people who have chosen to be a part of their lives!! All of you folks that post on FB and keep up with our lives, we always appreciate you, even if we don't see you all the time!
