Running with the Packs never been so good..

Sorry, that was a former Saying we used at Coyote Country 97.3 back in the Weatherford days..They always cracked me up.. Here's some more:

"Hootin & Howlin with all your friends..Coyote Country 97.3"

"Prowling in your radio, and playing more of your Fresh country hits back to back..Coyote Country 97.3"..

I used to LOVE saying those! They remind me of the first time I was ever on the radio and we had to say them verbatim..because when you are 'starting out' on the radio you aren't really allowed to just spew whatever you want out of your mouth..Thats what we call "Verbal Diarrhea".. lol.. Okay, enough with the trip down memory lane.. Oh wait..One more! Did I ever tell you about the time that I had to walk around with a Cork in my mouth and enunciate every word to try and get rid of this Okie twang? Yeah that really happened..However, it didn't get rid of it totally, then I moved to Texas for 2 years, and now I'm all "Texahoma" sounding.. Oh well, such is life..

Anyway, Yesterday was sweet Payslee's Birthday.. We had Party #1 for her. (We are having the 2nd party at the farm this weekend with her other dog friends.) I got her some Yogurt bones, Pupcakes, Chewies, Peanut butter drops, and some other little treats.. Of course Sawyer wanted them too so Payslee shared..However, Rally wouldn't really eat any because he is more of a Meat eater..but he still had fun. Pays was wearing her birthday dress and dancing around all jolly..As you can see in the pics, she and Sawey are happy little folks.

Tonight I'm going to my church class at Crossings..We only have 2 classes left! But I did find out that the bionic teacher will be teaching again, so I'm happy about that. I will take his class again.

Happy Birthday Payslee!

Today is my Sweet Girl's Birthday. Little Payslee was born today! I look back on the last year and all the fun and joy she has brought me and I smile.. I know that a lot of people don't understand that to me she is more than "Just a dog".. One of our listeners sent this to me and I loved it..

Just a Dog

From time to time, people tell me, "lighten up, it's just a dog," or, "that's a lot of money for just a dog." They don't understand the distance traveled, the time spent, or the costs involved for "just a dog."

Some of my proudest moments have come about with "just a dog." Many hours have passed and my only company was "just a dog," but I did not once feel slighted.

Some of my saddest moments have been brought about by "just a dog," and in those days of darkness, the gentle touch of "just a dog" gave me comfort and reason to overcome the day.

If you, too, think it's "just a dog," then you will probably understand phases like "just a friend," "just a sunrise," or "just a promise." "Just a dog" brings into my life the very essence of friendship, trust, and pure unbridled joy. "Just a dog" brings out the compassion and patience that make me a better person.

Because of "just a dog" I will rise early, take long walks and look longingly to the future. So for me and folks like me, it's not "just a dog" but an embodiment of all the hopes and dreams of the future, the fond memories of the past, and the pure joy of the moment.

"Just a dog" brings out what's good in me and diverts my thoughts away from myself and the worries of the day.

I hope that someday they can understand that it's not "just a dog" but the thing that gives me humanity and keeps me from being "just a human."

So the next time you hear the phrase "just a dog." just smile, because they "just don't understand."

Happy Birthday Payslee!

What a fabulous weekend I had!

WEll I had an amazing weekend! Friday night was the "Big Show" meaning Boyz II Men at the State Fair.. I didn't think "Swine Flu Amy" was going to get to go, but she made it, and Lauren came along as well.. Brandon came along with Brady (his son) to take him on some rides at the fair, since he wasn't a big fan of the Boyz.. There were a TON of people at the show..More than I had ever seen at a show before.. We were standing on our chairs to see the stage because of all the folks..but the guys sounded AWESOME as usual.. Nate, Shawn, and Wanya sang all the hits, and some Motown too.. They can still dance and sing just like they could 20 years ago, and they have a new album coming out later in the year, so I'm excited about that.. You know, there are some bands and artists that you just never get sick of hearing!! Great time.. Thanks to Scott Munz and all the staff at the fair for making it such a fun event this year!

On Saturday I had a 'Shih-tzu Playdate' with some friends from my Shih-tzu chat room friends. I know it sounds bizarre to say that I have met people on the internet and met up with them, but we had been emailing each other back and fourth and knew it would be fun to have a playdate.. They were on their way to Balloonfest in New Mexico so they stopped in OKC to visit. They are from Kansas City and have a giant RV (Which Lynny would have loved) and two Shih-tzu's named Josie and Maddy..
I wasn't sure if Miss Snobby Payslee would play, but she did!
They all had the best time running, biting, barking and playing with each other! We let them play for awhile inside, and then we (John, Cathy & I) went to eat lunch at Toby Keiths.. They wanted to see the 'Best of OKC' so I had to give them that delicious Friend Balogna sandwich! So good.. and we got to set outside on the patio where it was absolutely GORGEOUS!
After lunch we took them to a giant field where they could run wild off-leash..They ran and ran.. and then Naughty Sawyer took them to his favorite place, The River.. Of course they got all muddy, wet, and awful looking.. Sawyer more than the others.. He looked like an awful tzu! But they were so happy, jolly, and TIRED at the end of the day. I was so glad they had such a great time together, and I loved John and Cathy too! I made some new friends, and so did Payslee & Sawyer.. That night we went to eat Sushi at Musashi's..mmm mmm so good!
Here is a picture of dirty, awful Sawyer.. Look how gross he is! But we had a great weekend! Sunday I pretty much did NOTHING. We had played all day on Saturday, so we were just wanting to stay home and hang out..so we played outside, and thats pretty much it..but Now I'm feeling much better about my Stranger Danger! And see.. I can meet Random people on the internet and have a great time! I just really didn't feel like people who had two cute tzu's were going to stab me and take my dogs.. lol..

Dang Ol' Swine Flu..

Well apparently everyone is getting the Swine flu now.. Hiss....Boo! One of my friends has it, a co-workers kid has it.. so Yeah, I've been exposed to it for sure.. but I'm hoping that Its going to leave me alone.. We took Bill's swine statues and placed them around the studio and came up with some nice Swine Studio Pics.. Here Some Facts about the Swine from the CDC:

Update – Swine Flu/H1N1 Influenza A

There is no cause for alarm, but we should remain cautious, informed and be responsible for how we conduct ourselves. While we should certainly go about our daily lives, there are several very simple steps we can take to make sure we are limiting our exposure and that of our co-workers.

What are the signs and symptoms of swine flu (in humans)?

Swine flu symptoms are similar to the symptoms of regular seasonal flu and include fever greater than 100 degrees, coughing, sore throat, body aches, headaches, respiratory congestion, chills and fatigue. There are some reports of diarrhea and vomiting associated with swine flu. In the past, severe illness (pneumonia and respiratory failure) and deaths have been reported with swine flu infection in humans. Like seasonal flu, swine flu may cause a worsening of underlying chronic medical conditions.

What should I do if I develop flu like symptoms?

First and foremost, the CDC is recommending that you not come to work. If you exhibit these symptoms outside of work, please do not come to work until you have spoken with your doctor. If you experience these symptoms at work, please inform your manager and leave work.

What can I do to protect myself from getting sick?

The vaccine to help protect against swine flu is currently not available for Gill Studios to offer to its employees. There are everyday actions that can help prevent the spread of germs that cause respiratory illnesses like influenza. Take these steps to protect your health and the health of others:

• Wash your hands often and thoroughly with soap and warm water, especially after you cough or sneeze. Alcohol-based hand cleaners are also effective.

• Cough or sneeze into your elbow or a tissue. Properly dispose of used tissues. Do not reuse tissues.

• Stay healthy by eating a balanced diet, drinking plenty of water and getting adequate rest and exercise.

• Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. Germs spread this way.

• Try to avoid close contact with sick people.

• If you get sick with influenza, the CDC recommends that you stay home from work and limit contact with others to keep from infecting them.

• You might also consider getting vaccinated for the "seasonal influenza".

Last night I went to my church class "The Last Days" at Crossings.. It did not disappoint! It was soo good again. I'm going to be sad when its over, which is next week. I'm hoping that same teacher will teach another class. He is bionic, so I'm going to try to take whatever classes he teaches. I also went and had Sushi with Lauren & Shelly.. I got Shelly to go to class with me, but Lauren skipped out again.. Amy didn't get to go either because she's at home with the Swine flu.. She may not make it to Boyz II Men! Mom's now backed out of Boyz II Men too, seems as if someone out in Western OK is having a 'cooler' party than me! Boot..

Well tomorrow we'll be at the Braums in Moore, I-24 & 12th street.. So if you want a 93 cent Sausage biscuit, come on by.. See ya there!

Way Back Wednesday.. Not really.

Why is it that I am not motivated to finish my remodeling projects? I'm supposed to be finishing my bedroom, yet I cannot.. I get to doing something else, and then forget what I'm supposed to be doing..then Dancing with the Stars comes on..then I'm tired.. But seriously, my mom is coming up Friday so I have to get it done..

Speaking of Dancing with the Stars.. How bout Kellie Osbourne! I was proud of her too..and it made me so happy to see her parents, Ozzy & Sharon crying and loving her in the audience.. IT was too cute! I wasn't impressed with anyone else really..I kinda think the guys are better so far. Maybe the ladies will kick it up a notch later or something because they were NOT that impressive last night.

So we found out yesterday that some folks in our office have had contact with people who have the "SWINE" flu.. So now Lynn, Bill & I have convinced ourselves that we totally have the Swine Flu.. Even though we have zero symptoms..I have an overactive imagination, so thats not helpful. From what I understand though, if adults get it..while it does suck..its not as critical as if children get it. I called my mom and told her about it and she said, "Well if you get it you are coming home" and I said, "Why?" and she said, "Because at the farm we have the oink-ment!".. Gotta love my mom!

So my dear Friend Amanda went to the Dog boutique, Paws around Town, and got me (or Shall I say Miss Payslee) two little dresses.. They were aDOGable.. but They didn't fit her, so yesterday we took them back and got these tasty little numbers.. The first one is a cute little 'Cherry' Dress.. It has glitter cherries on the back.. As you can tell from her smiling face, she is very jolly about her new purchase..

The 2nd dress is a classy Denim number with a Cross shirt, and Denim Mini Skirt.. This one was also very Cute, and Miss Payslee also liked this one..although she did say that the Cherries was her favorite..
So there you go! You can be the judge of what is the cutest..She is quite a little model.
Yesterday we went rollerblading in the nice cool weather.. I also plugged in my Candle Thingy that burns the "Scentsy" candle pod dealies.. I apologize for not knowin the names of these things, but I think you get my point.. Anyway, this particular scent was Cranberries and Sandalwood..MM MM..It smelled up my house so fast! It was yummy! I love the Scentsy stuff..
This Friday is the Boyz II Men show at the State fair, and I think Mom is going to come up and watch the show with me.. She has never seen Boyz II Men live, and I think I've seen them 6 times.. lol.. I do love them! Thankie to Scott for giving us VIP tickets so Now I can see Nate, Shawn, and Wanya up close and personal! Bill brought up a good point the other day which is that they are not really "Boys" anymore.. I get that.. But they will always be Boyz II Men to me!!

Happy Birthday To us!

I had a great birthday weekend! I went home on Friday and mom and I got things ready for the big birthday party on Saturday..I could not have asked for better weather! It was so pretty on Saturday..We got up early to help Steve move farm Machinery first off, and then spent the rest of the day getting ready for party-time fun.
The farm is just beautiful this time of year, and mom does a great job land-scaping, so everying is blooming and green.. Its fabulous, and very relaxing..Everyone loves coming out there to relax.
We set up the Volleyball net, but we didn't have the lights set up, so we only played one game, but we did have a great time just talking and hanging out. Steve made ribs again, and we had some delicious Hotlinks and Polish Sausage from Cusack meats! Yummy!

The dogs had a great time too.. AT my party there were 8 total, as Shelly brought her dog too, and they all had a funtime playing. I had some delicious cake, and got some awesome gifts from my friends. Ellen Johnson gave me a Microphone that my friend, Dick Johnson had used, and that meant so much to me..I was so happy to be surrounded by awesome family and friends. Thanks to everyone for a great birthday and all the wishes!
