Sleep? I'll sleep when I'm dead... Not really.. I'm tired.

Well here we are.. 5 weeks into the twinliness.. Girls are doing good. We are *trying* to put the on a schedule.. haha.. I know you are laughing, but seriously, everything I've read, and everyone (twin mom's) I have talked to said its important to get them on a schedule..

So we've been going with the "E.A.S.Y" schedule.. Easy= Eat, Activity, Sleep, then Your Time. So far,its ok.. I'm not going to lie.. its hard.. Especially when I'm by myself and they both wake up screaming at the same time, the 'activity' portion gets a little sketchy, lol.. Plus, who wants to wake a sleeping baby? Yeah, we do.. why? because we want to sleep at night.. so after about an hour and a half we wake them up for eating and activity time.. They are still waking up every 2 hours at night, but hopeful that as they put on more weight, and get older, they will go for longer stretches. Radio prepared me for little sleep, but this is a whole new level of 'little'..
Each night Jordan & I have a designated baby.. Crosslee is usually my baby.. she wakes up every 2 hours like clockwork.. But, she's pretty good about going back to bed.. but by the time I get up with her, feed her, put her back to bed, & Pump, its an hour.. so I'm up and hour..sleep 2, then get up again.. I'm hopeful this will get better. If not, I'll learn to love Espresso I suppose. Everyone keeps telling us tha 6 weeks is a 'magical' time when they can sleep longer, and all that.. I'm not getting my hopes up.. I will say at this point, having ONE baby seems pretty doable..If you ever had twins, then had one you would be like "WHAT! This is amazing!"..
Last week My dad and Joni came up and kept the girls for a whole day so MJ & I could go run around.. IT. WAS. AMAZING. Lol.. We went and got Pedicures, a massage, and went to the mall to shop a bit.. We so enjoyed our day! Well I did.. MJ said the massage folks beat him too hard and he was sore.. He apparently does not enjoy the 'deep tissue' massage, lol.. The girls had a great time with Pops Kirb, and Mama J, because that night Londyn slept for 5 hours! We may have to pay them to come back and do whatever they did again.. lol.. Then they came back on Thursday morning for a few hours and we took the dog babes to their field and let them run free.. So we enjoyed that time. Thankfully we have so many people around us that are willing to help out with the girls and give us some free moments. My mom and Jordan's mom have been coming by as well and giving us 'movie' breaks.. We watched "World War Z" last week with Brad Pitt & the Zombies, and it was GREAT! Loved it.. Then Saturday we watched "The Heat" with Melissa McCarthy & Sandra Bullock..and it was HILARIOUS. Loved the creative cursing, lol.. Reminds me of me' ol' radio days..

We got all our Newborn Pics back.. and Ali J, did an amazing job.. Just look at our angels.. yes, they "LOOK" that way.. but there are times when Crosslee acts a bit devilish.. She can rage with the best of them. Londyn is more reserved, but she can get going too.. Papa Steve was apprehensive about holding them, but look how cool this picture is! Both the girls and he will cherish that little moment..

We are heading out West for the 4th of July. Mom wants to introduce the girls to all her friends. No fireworks, but I'm sure it will be exciting figuring out how to 'travel' with the girls, and the dogs. So pardon our drooping eyes in the picture below.. We are pretty tired..but we are hanging in there, and making it happen, and the girls are doing really good..

Who knew THAT? Not me..

Sorry I've been a bit absent.. I have learned more about pregnant lady bodies in the past week than I've heard about in my whole life..

I had an appointment with Dr. Mirabile (my perinatal dr) last week
and we were all excited to see the girls.. Mom came up to go with us because she had not seen them in awhile.. Dr. Mirabile was out of town, so I saw his Colleague, Dr. Smith, who was awesome.. We are just kicking it, having a great ultrasound and good news.. Babies are big for 26 weeks.. Baby A was 2.6 lbs, baby B was 2.8 lbs.. Looked great! Then BOOM She honky Slaps us right in the face!!! Well.. not literally.. but almost with terrible news!! It was all going so Well!

Apparently my cervix had shortened, which is pregnancy land is bad news.. Of course I knew none of this.. I knew that you wanted it to stay long and closed, but I didn't know that it was a deal breaker at the time..

So she starts telling us about what has happened, and why its a big deal.. (Its a big deal because if your cervix shortens and dilates the babies will want to comeout).. Mine had went from a 3.5 to a 1.5, which in a months time is NOT great.. So we kinda went into panic mode.. At first I was all calm and smooth.. I'm all "So I guess I'll just go home and make an appointment?" and she's all "No, we're going to wheel you over to labor and delivery right now".. WHAT! OK.. Now I'm in Panic mode.. and so is mom.. I'm realizing that this is a BIG deal.. So they do wheel me over to L&D and they get me checked in to a lovely room, hooked up to a bunch of monitors, and we wait..

We are waiting to see if I'm having contractions.. At first I'm not.. which is awesome.. but then I have 5 back to back..which is NOT cool.. So I get a shot in the arm to stop them, and thankfully they do stop.. The irony? I don't even feel them.. I'm that cool.. not really...

So I have to stay overnight.. They call Dr. Goff and he comes to check on me.. The contractions stop and he gives me some Meds for what I like to call a "Irritated Uterus".. and do you blame it? I mean really? I'm carrying almost 6lbs of babies, and they are HEAVY.. and that only accounts for the baby pounds not all the rest of the fluid and all that jazz..so Yeah, My uterus was mad.. I don't blame her.. But anyway.. I stay in the hospital for awhile, and then since everything had quietened down, I got to go home.. I'm not on "Modified bed-rest" which means I'm not an invalid, but I'm pretty much a princess..which Is pretty great.. lol.. Not really. I'm not the kinda gal who can just sit around, so its been irritating, but our first goal is to make it to 28 weeks (thats on Friday) because thats a big milestone for the babies.. Then 30..then 37!

I had mom bring Miss Pays to the hospital because I missed my sweet girl, and was so happy to see them when I got home.. Now they keep me company while we wait till Friday. Good news is.. everything else was good.. babies look good.. blood pressure good.. babies hearts good, etc.. Just the irritable uterus, and the shrinking cervix..

Friday I go back and we re-check everything.. I'm really hoping everything will have gone back to normal. Its funny because when I got pregnant I figured I'd be one of those people who just sailed through it.. I've never been sickly, heck I can count on ONE hand how many times I've actually been SICK in my LIFE, so I thought pregnancy would be the same.. But I've quickly realized that having twins pretty much throws everything out the window. I'm so excited to see them, and what they look like.. But I'm also so scared. So many things can go wrong, and the hospital visit was a big wake up call for me.. I've GOT to slow down, and most importantly I've got to Let Go, and Let God have this. Otherwise I spend everyday worried out of my mind and wondering what is happening to my body.. I know he made these girls for MJ & I, and I know he has a plan.. I have to trust that plan for better or worse, and I do.. But please keep us all in your thoughts and prayers, because this is a very trying time for my family..

Can you imagine MJ having to wait on me? Yeah.. extra prayers for that guy! He's doing such a great job and he's so patient.. Feeling ok for now. I'll know more on Friday, and hopefully it will be good news!

In the meanwhile, I'll just be kickin' it..All of my friends and family have been amazing bringing us food and goodies. I have a great crowd of folks around me, and around the girls!!

I did get to go to dinner with all my friends at my favorite Mexican Place on Saturday (Abels) and we had a great time. I tell you, I hang out with some funny  peeps..Love em!
KC
PS.. Thought of some new names.. so far everyone still hates them.. we'll see if they stick.. Saxton & Sutton.. Still love Reese & Scout.. But MJ hates Scout..

Well Hi 2013

Well here we are.. brand New 2013. I could lie and tell you that I stayed up till midnight partying like a Rock star..but thats what it would be.. a Lie.. lol.. I was in bed by 9. MJ came in and kissed me at Midnight, and that was pretty much all I saw of the New Year partying.. What can I say.. I've always went to bed at 9, and I'm probably going to always do it!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas... We went to several of them.. On Saturday, we went to Jordan's moms house, and I got a real-life, Popcorn maker! Like you would have at a store! I was way more exicted about this than MJ.. Then on Christmas Eve in anticipation of the snow storm, we drove to Canute.. But went to my dads in Sentinel First. My new Niece & Nephew, Ava, and Joe were there and funny.. They got an OU Chair (I know, wrong school)..but never-the-less, they loved the chair and just sat there all Jolly together. Ava is 3 months Old, and Joe is 2 months old, but already outweighs her.. lol.. I got Joe a Mustache Paci, and he seemed to enjoy it, and rocked it pretty well, lol

How great is this! lol.. They are pretty jolly sitting there.. My dad gave MJ a new Knife, and my brother gave MJ some explosives.. lol.. My family is entertaining with weapons!! We also got some Christmas Cash, which was awesome.. We are thinking about getting a freezer with it, or a storage shed.. We are already running out of room in our NEW house.. shocker.

Then we had Christmas Day with my mom.. Our stockings are always our favorite there, because they come up with the most random stuff ever to put in there.. Like magic jumping beans, air horns, hand warmers, air freshners.. lol.. It goes on and on, and it makes us laugh.. MJ got headphones for his gaming system, so he was fired up about that, and I got a boom box that plays my Ipod and the radio.. we loved all our stuff, it was awesome. I also got this scary lady statue that I put by the fireplace.. Mom knew I would love her, but MJ is creeped out by her, much like he is with creepy Indian head guy that my dad gave me.. lol.. I love them both!

My brother Randy got us this amazing 7ft tall Pistol Pete.. He lives outside our house during football season. He's awesome! Here he is chilling outside our house.. Doesn't he look amazing! He has a friend that makes them.. The Crow's Nest You can see more there..

At the farm we got a TON more snow than OKC did.. it really was a blizzard for a little bit..they probably got 3" of snow out there.. and it was blowing, so there were drifts all over the place and such. MJ and I took his truck out there with the dog babes, so we were fine to drive.. At one point at Christmas at mom's house, we had NINE dogs in the house..NINE.. All playing and having fun, lol.. Of course Miss P will only play with Sawyer, and climbs on the back of the couch 'away' from the others, because she is a diva..

We came back to OKC on WED, and went to Jordan's dad's on Thursday.. His Aunt, Uncle, and Grandma came down from Tulsa so it was nice to see all of them..I got an amazing Nikon Camera, AND a video camera there, which is awesome..and MJ got a gaming monitor for his Xbox, so his is setup with that and his headphones for gaming pleasure, lol.. We had a really great Christmas.. Very blessed and thankful for all the people we have in our lives.

I took the dog babes (all 3 of them) to the Vet on Monday to get their shots..I was there for 2 hours.. geesh.. but, I was so proud of them for being patient, good babes.. The babies are in exceptional health.. Perfect weights, great teeth, good bones.. they got an A++.. Rally, who is coming up on 15 years old, is not doing that well, but hey, he's like 95 in dog years.. he has lost some muscle mass in his hips and back legs.. and some of his sight due to cataracts.. The Winter makes it much worse on him.. Not sure how much longer we will have him, but for now he is still getting around pretty good, and still plays with Sawyer. They are all good..

I'm so sick of my hair right now.. I'm going in on the 21 to hopefully do something different with it.. Nicole at Changes Hair Salon will hook me up.. I found this pic of me taken when I was doing radio.. I still miss it every day.. Hope everyone has a great 2013!!!
