Happy Birthday.. I'm old..

You know, when people used to say to me, "Man you don't look your age" my response would always be, "That's because I don't have any kids".. lol.. Well I guess that's over now isn't it, since My over achieving self chooses to have two kids at a time! But.. I did have a good birthday. It was uneventful.. but who are we kidding.. when I get to go out to eat that is now and 'event' because we are hoping/praying the girls don't start hollering, or rebelling..

Lately they have been pretty great though.. I'm realizing that as I talk to other people, I have REALLY good babies.. But, there are still two of them, so there's that.. They are actually pretty easy most of the time. They are to the age when they can be entertained by themselves for quite a bit.. If you put them in their bumbo seats with their play trays, they will play with toys for a good 45 minutes by themselves.. They have also started to notice each other, which is super cute.. they look at each other and smile as if to say, "Well hey! I know you..".. then they watch each other play with toys.. Or rather, Crosslee plays with Toys and Londyn likes to watch her play with them, lol..

Lapoppins has been taking them all around.. This week they went to the library for Mother Goose reading time.. Then they had a play date with some other twins.. then they went to Gymboree and did a baby class.. I know what you are saying.. "KC, they are 4 months old, what are they learning?".. Well hell, who knows, but I think its good that they are out, and socializing, and working on their sensory exercises.. They do little dances and exercises, and I think that's good for them too.. and Oh yeah, How amazing is my nanny that she will actually be willing to TAKE them?? LOVE HER. THE BEST. Seriously.. She was so sweet this week and went and got my Nothing Bundt Cakes from the girls.. I'd offer to share them with you, but yeah, they are already gone. thanks. Yum.

So go ahead.. make fun of me.. But yeah, I was one of those fools on the internet at 2am on Friday morning ordering my new iphone.. in GOLD no less.. Boom. My phone has NO memory and its beyond annoying.. Especially since I take like 325 pictures of the girls and have 7000 songs.. So I upgraded to the big dog.. the GOLD, 64, Phone.. Sad however that it doesn't come in till October, so I'll have to wait a bit for that magic. That's actually what my present was from my mom.. LOVE that. Plus, she is coming up here today to hang out with the girls while MJ and I go buy groceries.. You laugh, but you try taking two adorable bow-headed babies into the grocery store and see how much shopping YOU get done... "OH MY GAWWWW are they TWINS!! Can I see Them!!".. Yeah, it goes on and on, so we'd rather just go alone..

From my dad, he and Joni volunteered to come up and watch the girls for MJ and I yesterday.. Can you say "Best gift ever?".. Yeah. pretty much.. SO we got to run around.. eat at Mama E's.. do some shopping and just enjoy our time while the girlies enjoyed their time with Grammy J and Pops.. Beautiful day yesterday too.. We thought about going to the fair, but man, we only go to eat, and it ends up being a REALLY expensive meal by the time you pay to get in, and grab your giant corn dog and turkey leg.. I also ran into a Cow at the mall.. Had to take a pic of that.. Of course MJ loves it when I race to take pictures with giant walking around animals in public places.. What can I say, that's what I do.. Your welcome.

So yeah, my tongue is numb. Why? Who knows. I'm weird.. The last time I got some dental work done (PS, I never have ANY dental work done without getting my mouth numb) it didn't come back from the numb-ness.. I asked Dr. Cox what this is called, being that I was calling it "Dead Tongue".. turns out its called Lingual Parethesia.. It will come back, it can just take a bit.. Its an odd feeling, and like 1% of people get it..which is pretty typical for me.. to be the ONE person who has a dead tongue. At least I'm not talking with a lisp.. yet.. Or slobbering on myself.. YET..

ON top of this, My right foot has kinda quit working.. It was very painful to walk, so I went to visit Dr. Flynn who gave me a giant shot of cortisone in my heel.. Did that hurt? Yes, Yes it did..but is my foot better? Yes, yes it is.. However, I can't go barefoot anymore, which for me is a ruiner.. Call me a hillbilly but I hate shoes..

The girls have been doing better in the nursery.. 3 weeks and not kicked out! We even went to small group on Wednesday and they did good during that time too. Have I told you how much I love our small group and church? Yeah, I know I have.. but seriously, I just love it. Now we have a great small group we are so proud to be a part of.. We hang out with people our own age that have kids and are married and we get to share our love for God.. Its pretty well the greatest thing ever. Plus we have the best Sunday School teachers ever with Laura & Terry.. Truly blessed on that aspect..Really in all aspects.. So yeah, I may start looking old now, but I have a great life, so I'll take it!

Running with the pack..

Well we have made it to 9 weeks now.. Still in survival mode with the girls, but its getting better.. We took them to get checked out last week and they have underdeveloped tummies which made their stomachs hurt, which in return made them holler and scream.. so we got them some baby Zantac, and they are partying down now.. Ok, not really, but they do appear to be feeling better.. I went back to work last Tuesday.. I missed their faces, but it was nice to be back at work.. I enjoy what I do, so It was nice to be welcomed back. I have some projects that I'm going to start on pretty soon, so I'll get that going. I love completing tasks..what can I say, I'm weird in that way.. When I was on the air, I would say "I love entertaining"..but since there is no one asking me to be funny or entertain them here, I have to just go on with completing tasks.. so thats where we are at on that deal..

The girls get their shots this week..I"m kind of a loser. I didn't even send out birth announcements, but with twins you never feel like you are caught up.. So they should be thankful I've even filled out some pages in their baby books and taken pics of them.. Speaking of pics, they are getting pretty cute. I put Crosslee in a Ralph Lauren hat the other day, and she was pretty sweet.. She still has rage moments, but she is getting better.. Sometimes you want to look at her and say "Really? Why are you so angry? You have everything you could possibly want and more, yet you spit in my face"... But like I said, she's getting better, so I guess we'll keep her! ;) This is her judgment face.. She looks like this a good portion of her life..lol..she didn't even smile at us till she was 6 weeks old!

We are going to go back to the farm this weekend, even though last time it was a disaster.. Crosslee didn't get any naps and then didn't sleep well.. so that Saturday she woke up a screamin demon, and it was NOT good for anyone.. she pretty well hollered the whole day.. but Now that we know she has to keep her schedule, have naps, and has her tummy meds, I think she will be back to her jolly self. In theory.

I was so sad to learn this weekend that Kidd Kraddick died. Since I left radio he is the only show I've really enjoyed listening too. There's just not much by way of Oklahoma radio that is that great to me, so I downloaded the I heart Radio app, and listened to his show out of Dallas. I guess he had a brain aneurysm on the golf course and died while he was on his Kids Kids golf tournament trip.. So sad.. Today the others on the show (J-si, Jenna, Kellie & Big Al) took calls to celebrate his life.. ITs weird to think how attached you get to people you don't even know..but I know some listeners were like that for me when I left the airwaves, so I'll always appreciate that.. I hope they keep the show going so I will have something to listen to each day, but I think it will be hard to go on without their ring leader, host, and namesake..

So I saw "Grown Ups 2".. Man what a turd of a movie.. It was so bad that MJ and I almost walked out.. which is really sad, b/c I love Adam Sandler and all those guys.. but it was NOT funny.. full of stupid fart jokes, a Computer generated deer that pee's on people.. Dumb characters, no plot.. etc.. It was just bad. Shame on you Sandler! I've always loved your dumb movies in the past! WE are going to try to go see Red 2 this weekend maybe, or something else.. I need me some popcorn. IN other exciting news.. Not really.. I've lost all but 3 pounds of my pregnancy weight.. which would be amazing to say, but I was losing weight BEFORE I got pregnant, so its not that amazing.. But still, lets celebrate it ok? Thanks.

What else? Well we tried to take the girls to church again yesterday.. We did it..but Cross ended up having to sit outside the whole time b/c she just cannot be quiet.. Maybe she will be able too someday, but until then, its off to the nursery. Since they get their shots this week, they should be able to go to the nursery soon! I have missed the music at Crossings so much, I'll be excited to be back in action!! Speaking of that.. We are also going to try to pick up our therapy dog visits again soon.. Brandon or maybe Chantry or Lauren can come help out on Thursdays so Payslee and I can go visit. Miss P is ready to go!

I finally went and got my hair done! Geez.. I had to apologize to Nicole because I'm not sure I had even brushed it in 6 weeks! lol.. By the way, it looks fab..and if you need a hairdresser, call Nicole at Changes Hair Salon..She is fabulous, and in turn makes ME look fabulous!! Oh, speaking of fabulous.. I'm also going back to the dentist soon.. I know you people are saying, "How can she still need work done after a root canal, 6 crowns, & 22 fillings?".. Well I can.. Thank Goodness I have a great Dentist with Dr. Jim Cox.. I'm going to try to talk him into giving me root canals in all my teeth.. He won't, because he's a great dentist, but Man, I get so sick of my teeth being sensitive.. And I'm going to be honest, I enjoyed the root canal.. He's THAT good..Its my own fault.. I keep eating flavor ice & sunflower seeds.. Shhh.. don't tell him..  XXOO..K

Some twins cause pair annoy-ya~Uh thank ya!!

Well I hope everyone had a great 4th of July.. We did.. We decided to head West to visit all the grandparents out there and absorb their help with the girls most of all!

Packing wasn't as horrible as we thought it would be.. Mom had a bunch of stuff at her house, so we didn't have to bring much.. We went out on Wednesday evening. The girls started out good in the car, and then about Pendelton's (Foss) decided they had had enough and being to squawl.. Londyn calmed down, but Crosslee is persistent and managed to cry until we got to my mom's house.. Thankfully Gramma Robs was able to soothe her and she got excited about farm visiting!

We had a great time! Steve cooked steaks for us on one night, Ribs another, brisket, chicken.. I mean seriously, we were fed well! Mom & Steve volunteered to keep the girls on Friday night and sent MJ & I to a motel room for a full nights rest.. So we said Yes!

We of course had to go to Simon's catch and had delicious catfish, and then to bed! Of course I can't sleep the whole night because I have to get up and pump (lame) but not having to wake up every 2 hours was heavenly! We truly enjoyed our night.. until we got back home.. The girls were not very cooperative for Mom, and neither were Sawyer & Payslee (WHAT!).. Apparently Sawyer barks and cries when I'm not with him and acted like a tool bag for my mom..So she got zero sleep, and that made us feel bad.. So probably not doing that again for awhile, but the thought behind it was amazing, and I love love love my mom for agreeing to try to help.

The girls did have a blast at the farm.. Crosslee loves outside time. You can take her outside and she instantly relaxes. She loves watching the trees and leaves blow. She loves the loud music that Papa Steve plays on his boombox, lol.. She loves the sounds outside, and Im' pretty sure she's already a farm girl at heart.. Both the girls loved Hot tub time! The Temp of the hot tub was perfect and they would have stayed in there all night! Here are some pics.. As you can see, they are enjoying their time..

We also got them dolled up for the 4th of July, and took them to Sentinel to see the other set of Grandparents.. We met Grant, Lexi, dad & Joni at the Sentinel Park and all the grand kids were decked out in their 4th of July gear.. We got a pic but as you can see, not all were Cooperative.. Sadly for Joni & Kirb, I'm thinking this is going to be their life! Can you imagine Christmas this year!! Lexi (My sister) has a little boy, Joe, who is 8 months.. My brother Grant's daughter, Ava, is 9 months, and then we have my twins (6 weeks).. so its going to be a blast.. I love Joe..He is hilarious. He is the happiest, most joyful baby! Its unreal.. Of course my sister is also happy, laid back, and joy filled, so I suppose this makes sense.. We joke that Londyn & Joe will be friends, while Ava & Crosslee try to dominate and take over the world!! We all had a great time. Ava was all dolled up in her bows and necklaces.. cute cute!!

Well, being that I'm home by myself some now, I've had to find ways to quiet hungry, crying babies.. So far I've put up boppies, and bottle props.. It helps, and it works.. I think as a mom of twins you just have to do what works, whether its PC or not.. I'm sure the birth police would come after me, but such is life.. Since I took this pic, my mom got us something called a "Table for Two" that has two seats, side by side, and I can prop the girls up in that.. even has bottle holders! Nice!! In the sunglasses pic up top, they are chillin' in their table for two..

So we had a great time at the farm..and realized that traveling with them can be done.. However, it does take awhile..but its worth it to let the grands' spend time with the girls.. Papa Steve is already talking about getting them mini cows that they can show.. Of course I am super excited about this.. because hey, who doesn't want a mini cow??!? Plus, I want my girls to be farm girls.. My best memories are farm memories when I'm showing cattle, or shooting baskets in my barn, Or doing my 'gymnastics' from a hanging carcass bar in the barn (A bar hung from the top of the barn used to bleed deer after the are shot..Hey, sorry, I didn't know at the time this is what it was.. I just thought it was a sweet bar for me to swing and flip from..who knew..lol)

I loved riding 4 wheelers, or jumping on hay bales.. Building a fort with my dad, climbing tree's with my brother Grant, and of course I LOVE animals.. So I'm super excited to share the farm with my girls.. There's no app, or video game that can come close to farm living!

Plus, can I just say how blessed I am and the girls are, to have 4 sets of grandparents?!? I mean its awesome! 4 sets of folks to watch them for us when we need some time, and 4 sets to love them up! Such a blessing.. I can honestly say I'm so glad my parents are divorced.. I know that sounds bizarre, but I'm so grateful that both my mom and dad found people who they love, and I have my halfs, and step brothers and sister.. I love my step-parents so much, and I'm just so grateful that my girls will have so many people that will love them and spoil them!! I know divorce is not the greatest thing, but I think you have to find the positives, and my life has certainly been tons of positives because of it with even more people to love me, and for me to love. Plus my parents are happy!

So.. about the girls.. Well Crosslee is a bit devilish.. About 5:00 in the afternoon, if she has not had several good naps, she turns into a beast.. Now I know what you are saying by looking at her sweet face on the left there.. "What? How can that be true?".. Well it is.. She can scream louder than any baby I've heard.. And don't think you can wear her out..you can't.. She's stubborn and impatient already.. MJ blames me.. but I don't think that is ALL me.. lol.. Thankfully when she gets naps, she's good, and a happy girl.. She loves Music, loves me to sing to her, and loves being outside. When they took her outside at the farm, she instantly quit crying and just took it all in..

Londyn is very easy going and laid back.. UNLESS you don't give her food in time.. Then she will act like you have starved and punished her and she will wail until she gets her food! She does not like to go to sleep..she would rather watch the wall, or the ceiling and just hang out.. She doesn't fuss.. just has no use for sleeping.. (We shall hope that changes as she gets older, lol).. She is getting so big! Has graduated from the newborn clothes, to the 0-3 now.. We go back to get their shots on the 31, and I'll be anxious to see how big they are! Both of them are pretty good at night.. They still get up every 2-3 hours, but thats expected because they have little tummies that don't stay full very long.. but they are pretty good at getting up, eating, then going back to bed.. Its rough..but doable..

So Mom bought the girls these fantastic hats.. Because what  week old doesn't need a hat?? Right? As you can see, Cross was very serious about her hat.. She told me she was ready to greet the Royal baby for Tea.. Londyn told me she didn't care for the Royals, nor did she care for the hat..

So I go back to work on the 23rd.. I'm nervous about going back.. but so thankful to have found a great nanny to stay with the girls.. Miss Donna has been coming by this week and helping out and she and I will get a schedule in place by the time I go back.. It will be hard to leave them, but I am happy knowing I'm leaving them with someone who truly cares about their well being and happiness.. I'm blessed in that regard too.. Life is good in twinland!

We haven't been back to church and I miss it so much.. but the girls get their shots on the 31st, and then we will be less worried about taking them out. I'm ready to be able to go back to worship, and Sunday school!

How the girls FINALLY got their names

So Most of you who have followed this blog know that MJ and I have had a SERIOUS problem coming up with names for the girls..  I had my list of names, he had his.. I hated his, he hated mine, and we were seriously worried that we were not going to come up with anything.. Ironically we didn't until the birth certificate lady kept on us every day and every hour on the last day to come up with something. Yes, they WILL let you leave without naming them, but then you don't have all the documents you need..

So here's what we did.. On day one we decided to call them certain names. I believe on Day 1 it was Piper & Scout.. didn't work. MJ said that baby B was too pretty to be called Scout.. I agreed.. Day 2 it was Reese and Rowan.. But that didn't stick either.. However on Day 2, I came up with Crosslee.. It came to me from our Church, Crossings.. Because that place has been such a HUGE blessing to us. I gave MJ options to see what he liked better.. Crossland, Crosslee, or Crosslynn. He liked Crosslee the best, so we started calling her that on Day 2, and it stuck..

On Day 3 still nothing for baby B.. We went back to our lists.. The lists had like 40 names on it by now, both his and mine.. We came back across London.. We already had their middle names, Crosslee Shelton (Shelton is Jordan's grandpa's name) and ___________ Lucille..We had Lucille already because she is named after my grandma Leona Sheperd. I lost her in 1999 to Pancreatic cancer, and I still miss her so much every day. She was a big important factor in my life, and I know she will always be smiling at the girls from heaven.

We both had always thought double L's would be cute. So we decided we wanted a different spelling, and went with Londyn Lucille.. Everyone we told the name loved it, and it fit her because it is pretty, and she is pretty.. So that is how we FINALLY arrived at the names.. Man it took forever, and I was honestly thinking it wasn't going to happen for awhile..

So this next week will be a test.. A test I have not studied for, and I'm quite sure I'm not prepared for.. My mom will go home and MJ and I will be sitting here with our babies for the first time by ourselves. We are going to try and see a movie and get Mama E's before she goes back as our "Last Supper"..

Speaking of Supper.. Have  I told you how much I love our Sunday School Class?? They have been bringing us supper for the last 2 weeks so we haven't had to cook.. We are so proud to have them around us, and even more excited to bring up our girls in an amazing church with an amazing church family.. This whole journey has truly been a God thing.. so when I'm in doubt these next few weeks because I haven't gotten any sleep and I'm wondering what I have done, Im' just going to try to be Still for a moment and know that he is God..and he will get us all through this.. because seriously, I can promise you its going to take all of us.. lol..

Well, its a little late to go back now..

Does anyone else find it odd that it requires more proof and documentation to adopt a dog from an animal shelter than it does to have a baby? I mean you have to be more qualified to adopt a homeless dog than to have a hospital just hand over a baby to you.. In my case, they are handing me TWO..You would think they would have me take home one on a 'trial run' to see how I do, and If I pass, then they send me home with the second one! Anyway.. you can see I'm not feeling 'qualified' at the moment.. lol..

The Above passage is taken from my "Jesus Calling" book by Sarah Young. This book is so amazing. It gives you what you need on a daily basis. I decided to look ahead and see what the book said for the day the girls would be born..and Man, it was so dead on. Isn't it funny how God always knows just what you need? So cool.

So here we are. Tomorrow is the big day. We are both scared.. Right now mainly scared that I'm going to do okay, and that they are going to do ok when they get here.. Mainly fear of the unknown. But I know that God will take care of me, and giving MJ and I twin girls was obviously HIS idea, so he's got this. "Be still and know that I am God".. Its going to be hard, and always has been hard for me to be still. I haven't been still all my life.. Heck I'm about to POP and its STILL hard for me to be Still! But I'm going to try, because I know these babies have a lot of lessons to teach me. Did you know that because I am having fraternal, spontaneous, twins, we are 12% more likely to have them again. So guess what? We aren't having any more! Can you imagine.. I get pregnant again, and its twins AGAIN.. and its GIRLS! MJ would die..

I think we have everything ready... except for names. I did find out today we have 30 days. So we CAN leave the hospital without names. I hope we don't get to that point, but thankfully IF WE DO, my brother Grant, the Lawyer, can help us change them if we do leave with them being named "A" and "B"..

With all the tornado stuff that happened this week, its just so sad.. I've been praying for all those families, and those who lost all their loved ones and homes. So cool though to see Oklahomans join forces and help one another. Because of all this, MJ and I will probably be getting a storm shelter.. The weather in OK lately seems to be getting worse each year. I can count on one hand how many times we needed to go to the cellar, or even saw Hail when I was growing up in Canute.. Now we have golf ball hail every year.. and it gets more frequent each year.. Obviously weather is getting more dangerous, so we need to have a storm shelter.. I think we will get the kind that goes in the back yard, because those garage ones make me claustrophobic.

I almost got into a fight the other day at my favorite place.. Cafe 7.. A woman actually tried to steal a table from me.. Seriously? She acted like it was HER table even though she sat down way after me, and when I went to push it together (for my guests I was expecting) she said "You're not trying to take my table are you?".. I didn't want to have to play the "Are you seeing me giant pregnant and miserable card" but I was going to.. I said "Well I was holding this table because I obviously don't fit in a booth anymore".. So she kinda rethinks her rude ness and asks her friend to find another table.. I tell you, you should always be nice to pregnant people.. You never know when they are carrying giant twin girls and their sad bodies are about to give up. I've told people that I have actually felt BETTER these last 2 weeks.. and I think its because my body has just given up. Lol.. I'd give up too if I was it..

M & I appreciate all the sweet comments, prayers, and thoughts from you guys. We are very blessed to have so many cool people around us.. I go in at 7am on Saturday, surgery is at 9.. Should be updating and posting on Facebook for those who want to know how its going. We are all very excited, and scared, but know this will be a life changing experience that will bless us, and enrich our lives. I cannot tell you how excited we are to have our church home and family around us. We truly go to the best church ever. The things they have done for the tornado victims is just mind blowing, and the fact they are making time to come pray with us on Saturday before I go in is just awesome. I love all my Crossings family, and we are so excited to raise our girls there!! What blessings are in store for us! Thank you all for coming along on the journey! I'll report back soon!

HI Cry Baby..

I made it to full term (for twins) 36 Weeks!! So with me having ONE week left of being pregnant.. I can tell you that I've been pretty emotional all day.. For those of you who have not had the pleasure of 'pregnancy hormones' get ready.. it sucks.. and its ridiculous. This is foreign to me, because I'm NOT one of 'those' people.. In fact, I've truly hated the pregnancy Hormones because I'm not a high feeler, so when I would hear women go on and on about pregnancy Glow (which twin moms don't seem to have by the way, lol) the creation of life, the joys of kicks and all that fluff, I did NOT understand it.
I often have thought that MJ would have loved me to be "more feeling".. However, I am pretty sure that he will now tell you that he is so ready for me to be back to my non-feeling self.. lol..Being that at any given time he can walk in and I will be crying so hard and laughing at the same time that I'm sure I must seem like a crazy person.

Things just seem to make me emotional.. Here's some examples of things that have led me into sobbing hysterically, then laughing because  know how ridiculous I am.. I really hate it..

1) Faith Hill's "A Baby Changes Everything"
2) Christian The Lion I probably would have cried on this one too.. there is something about animals and elderly people that just lead me to sob.
3) 4 Year old Singing on Ellen.. This one made me cry because I can totally see this being one of my daughters.. Which made me happy, but also scared, so I started to cry..
4) Budweiser Horse-- In fairness, I probably would have cried about this before.. Animal commercials just kill me..
5) A walrus getting a birthday cake.. (geez, I dont even have an excuse for this one)

So as you can see, some of these things are just ridiculous.. I think I'm mostly scared of the unknown. I've never done ANYTHING without knowing I was going to excel at it.. Thats just the way I am.. I don't play sports that I can't win at.. I don't take classes I can't make good grades in.. I don't do radio unless its really good radio.. Well I know nothing about parenting..other that to dogs.. And while I do have amazing, smart, well behaved dogs.. I have to think that babies will be a little different.. lol.. People keep telling me that I'm going to be amazing at it.. And I do appreciate that.. But how do THEY know that? I don't.. I know that I don't do anything half-ass, so I will be doing it to the best of my ability, thats for sure! So I guess thats the best I can hope for..

The Good news is I married a man who WILL without a doubt be amazing.. Thank the Lord for that. MJ is sweet.. and he loves taking care of people. Both excellent parenting qualities. He will be so patient and caring with the girls (Unless they smash cheetos in his car, and then its questionable) and I know he will like teaching them things. He is a very high feeler, so he operates on how people feel and react.. He likes everyone to be happy all the time.. I am more intuitive and I have just been reading a million books hoping the knowledge seaps into my brain and becomes helpful.. I don't care what other people think..
Hopefully together that will be a magical parental combo!

Remember a few weeks ago when I told you the story about me planting flowers in the front yard like a tool and my belly was showing because I couldn't pull my shirt down with my muddy hands? Well.. I had hoped that no one really SAW me that day.. Apparently I was wrong.. 3 of our neighbors have now come up to Jordan and said "Is your wife pregnant?".. Lol.. Yeah, obviously they saw me out in the yard on all 4's trying to get up.. So I believe the neighborhood is aware.. Good thing is our neighborhood is awesome and they have already offered to help, and have even given us swings and such, so I guess my belly showing spectacle was not all bad.

I've also decided I should have ordered a shirt that said "Its twins, so don't judge me".. or "2 weeks left".. People keep looking at me like I should not be walking around in the world.. Its like they fear a baby is about to drop out of me at any time..There are also many 'pity' looks.. I've heard "Wow"..a LOT lately..

For our last weekend of freedom MJ and I have just enjoyed some time at the house, and then we went to the movies. I saw "Mud" with Matthew Mcoughnahay (however you spell that) and it was really good.. Kind of a coming of age movie. MJ watched the new Star Trek movie.. he said it was good too.. Then we went to eat at our new favorite place in the world.. Mama E's.. Have you been here yet? Its soul food place, and mm mm it makes us so happy!! Yesterday we had catfish with mac and cheese, collard greens, cornbread, homemade potato salad, and of course.. Cool aid.. Its so good. It was featured on "Diners, drive-ins, and Dives".. and we love it. Great people too. Speaking of food.. does anyone else find humor in the Braums commercal where the guy says "Wacka Mole-EE".. because it makes me laugh.

So.. by this time next week.. Hopefully the girls, MJ and I will be happily settled in our little recovery room.. Hopefully we will be enjoying their sweet, healthy faces, and hopefully we will be able to tell them apart so we don't look like fools..We would appreciate your prayers. I know this has been in God's hands the whole time, so I don't worry too much about that.

Stll no names peeps.. I'm starting to wonder if its going to happen.. We are going to try not to leave the hospital without them having names.. but they may have "A" and "B" on their birth certificates.. Isn't it funny how everyone has an opinion on what you should name your kids? We take this very seriously and we just want them to know that we didn't just name them Hooley Booley because we want their names to be special and unique just for them.. We already know they are special, so we want them to have a special name that goes with them..

Getting Closer...and Closer...

Well here we are.. 35 weeks.. wowza. Everyone keeps looking at me with Pity face.. then they realize they are looking at me with Pity and quickly turn the pity face into a smile.. I don't mind either one, it makes me laugh actually.. I probably look like like I need Pity.. I actually feel ok.. I don't feel great, but I think considering, I'm doing ok. My main issue is my back, and just feeling too heavy to get around or walk for very long..I mean geesh, these are big babies!

The good news is that I can still get in and out of the bathtub..I. Love. BATHS. The end.. I mean if I could not take a bath it would be so much worse.. My twin friend told me that I probably wouldn't be able to get out of there without rolling onto all 4's and hoist myself.. Thankfully this is NOT the case so far.. Although I will admit that the bathtub makes a giant sucking sound when I do get out.. I have been putting Epsom salts with Lavender in my baths and its my favorite time.. I have a feeling I will be missing it soon.. lol..

MJ & I have setup an email for the girls.. We have been emailing them throughout the pregnancy about what they are doing, and how I am doing.. I think it will be cool to look back on their lives and read this to them. We will make a scrapbook out of it eventually. I realized on Sunday that this will be my last "sane" Mothers Day.. Its safe to say that MJ & I are not sure if we are more scared of them staying in the womb, or actually coming out!

I'm still feeling very blessed though.. I don't have high blood pressure, and hopefully I won't get it.. Dr. Goff has taken great care of me.. I don't have acid reflux, heartburn, and I don't have much swelling.. A lot of the other pregnant people I know (though they are only having ONE mind you) are already having so many issues that are not cool.. I really think (even though this is a pain) taking my 25 vitamins a day has helped me a TON..but all of that starts with great Doctors, which I have had from the get-go.. Very happy about that.. I am all about knowledge.. Reading as much as you can and being prepared.. so that is what I've been doing.. I hate being unprepared.. I know I will be with a lot of things, but at least I have read up on the subjects!

I think this weekend MJ and I will try to have a nice date together.. being that a week from Saturday we will be in the hospital having babies! Does this seems insane to anyone else but me! Wowza..

Wow.. You look really Pregnant".. Yeah, well thats what happens

Well hello everyone.. I'm now 34 weeks (as of tomorrow) which means I've made it to the home stretch.. They say babies born within this time are usually healthy and good to go, so what a blessing! Babies are BIG.. Especially Baby B.. at this time a normal singleton baby should weigh about 4 3/4 pounds.. My babes are 4.15, and 5.8 pounds! Which is great.. means their lungs, brains, and hearts are all bigger, and they will do much better when they come out..

We had another ultrasound on Monday.. Of course Baby A is facing my back and refuses to turn around.. We saw Baby B but her eyes were open, and she looked kinda odd, but we did see her perfectly formed ears! The Ultrasound tech kept poking on her with the wand, and she did NOT like that.. she always pokes back. She's feisty.. A doesn't like it when I sit down wit my legs up, or when I wear a pregnancy belt.. she will constantly kick it.. She has had the hiccups lately which results on a constant thump.. thump.. thump.. on my lower belly.

I go see Dr. Goff tomorrow and we will be scheduling my C Section then.. Will probably be around May 27th. For those of you wondering, hell yes I'm having a C section.. why women would want to have anything else, I do not know.. Especially with twins.. Push two giant babies out? No thank you..thats just silly to me. Plus its not as healthy for the babies.. chances are you could push one out, and then the other one could be in distress and they would have to do a C section anyway.. So whats the point? With a C section I don't mess up my hair, makeup, etc.. and their heads look great with no stress to their little baby bodies.. Sounds like the best solution to me!

These women that are insane about giving birth naturally blow my mind.. I mean they honestly feel CHEATED by not getting to push watermelons out of peanut size openings.. What the hell? Cheated is losing your job when you did everything to keep it.. Cheated is having your paycheck furloughed because the government can't get their crap together.. Having a C section is NOT being cheated.. Think about the health of your babies, and yourself.. its insane. Yet I keep running into more and more of them that tell me how "cheated' I'm going to feel for having a C-section.. Yeah yeah.. You have fun with that.. I'll be just fine.

In other news this weather is dumb. I'm sick of it.. Brandon came over and helped MJ clean up the flower beds, and we plant all this lovely stuff and now we are going to have temps in the 20's? Get it together Winter.. its not your time.. Move on. I decided it would be cool to plan some of the flowers myself.. IT was sexy I tell you.. I'm out in the yard with garden gloves on, and on my hands and knees planting them.. except, Oopsie, I can't get back up.. awesome. So I roll over on all four's and hoist myself, only to find that my tank top has now ridden up leaving my giant twin belly exposed to the world and my neighbors who are probably looking out their windows and pointing and laughing wondering what the hell is wrong with me to begin with.. Well I can't pull my tank top down because my hands have mud all over them from the flower bed. Sweet.. So I try to hurry and wash them off, pull down my shirt, and put away the shovel.. Whoever told you pregnancy is bliss has obviously not tried to plant flowers at 33 weeks pregnant.. Welcome to my life. I paid dearly for it the next day with awful back pain, and my crotch dying. so Lesson learned on that deal.

Baby A is also laying on some nerve or something because after sitting awhile my leg just dies.. It doesn't go to sleep it just won't move anymore.. It happened the other day in a restaurant. When we got up to leave, my leg wouldn't work and I almost fell down trying to get out of the chair.. Then I began limping around like a tool until it started to work again.. It bizarre.. An adventure everyday I tell ya! I also may or may not have ridden the electronic hover round at Homeland the other day.. and I also may have loved it.. Don't judge me.

You know what the other cool thing is? People at work saying the most ridiculous things to me.. Keep in mind, I'm in IT, so I work with a bunch of men.. This is what I have heard so far this week "OMG. How are you still able to walk" "OMG you look SOO PREGNANT" "WOW, your Belly is really protruding!" "You look like you could pop at any second" "I kinda want to touch your belly, but its scary" "Are you due like Now?"... Yes.. welcome to the world of considerate men.. lol.. Thankfully this is all humorous to me. I'm aware of how pregnant I look.. I walk around with it everyday and sigh a little when I walk past a mirror.. However, we are nearing the finish line, so I'm very blessed and happy to keep carrying them until they are cooked all the way through. God is good!!

Its official.. its a take-over..

Jenn, Me, and Cammy, two of my oldest friends!
Well.. Here we are.. 31 weeks.. All I can say is Wow.. Each week when I think my body cannot take anymore, it does. I'm pretty proud of it.. but I can honestly say I am not one of those women that is ever going to say "Man, I just loved being pregnant.. it was so blissful".. its not. Maybe it is if you are only having One, but I can tell you that these girls pretty well just do what they want.. They tap dance on my bladder, they dance around on my lungs, they punch me in the abdomen.. I mean, they have made my body a dance palace.. I'm so happy, and thankful they are healthy and happy, and I'm going to carry them for as long as I possibly can.. but don't look for a lovely 'glow' coming off my face, or me looking very pleasant as I try to hoist myself in and out of my car.. Oh, and speaking of hoisting.. I've installed a belt on my headboard so that I can use it as a pulley system to get out of bad.. Its just sad I tell ya.. lol..

We had the baby shower in Elk City with Mom's friends.. It was very cute and fun, and the girls got some really cute stuff! I also enjoyed the delicious punch and cake.. Mom and I were so thankful for all the amazing things! I mean look at this basket full of goodies!! Full of awesome stuff, and another basket full of hand-sewn blankets, burp rags, and more! It was just Great!

They also got really cute 'ruffle butt's'.. all such cute stuff.. And of course plenty of bows, and glitter outfits.. My high school Coach, Mike Maddox, and his wife Sandy got them their first pair of Nike's! They are so cute! We are beyond excited about putting them in this stuff!

I went back to the Dr. on Friday.. No big changes with me.. Cervix has shortened more, but I think part of that is because there is a baby kicking it.. I mean, doesn't that make sense? You can actually SEE a foot when they show the ultrasound of my Cervix! They still think I could carry them to 37 weeks, so hopefully that will happen. Baby B took some great pics.. You can see her there showing off how limber she is by putting her foot on her forehead.. lol.. Baby A would not pose again.. She sits very low, and Baby B is very high, so we are able to see baby B easier.. She is pretty cute I must admit. I love her pouty lips, and cute nose! Right now is the time in which they are putting on fat, and her cheeks already look chubbish, which I am so excited about! Those Ultrasounds are amazing.. You can actually SEE and count 5 toes!

I can honestly say, I love all my doctors, and they are taking very good care of me.. At this point the babies are BIG. Above average.. I think at this point, most singleton babies weigh around 3lbs.. My babies are well over 4.. In fact, baby B is 4.9! They will continue to put on 1/2 lb of weight over the next few weeks.. which yes, means I could be looking at 6-7lb babies by the time I deliver! HOLY CRAP.. I feel like I can barely walk now.. I can't even imagine what it would be like walking around with 12lbs of baby! I am super glad they are bigger though, even though it kills my body, because I know they are growing and jolly in there, and for every day I keep them inside, its 4 days they won't have to be in the NICU..

I feel sad for MJ these days.. I seriously can do VERY little at this point.. If I stand, or sit too long, something on my body starts hurting.. this means I can't walk the dog babes, I can't vacuum,  I can't bend over really.. so that entails a lot of stuff.. He's been a trooper taking care of me, the house, the skin babes, and the dog babes.. As you can see, they like to lay on him frequently and get in his face.. We all appreciate him very much! I think this pregnancy is just about as hard as him as it is on me.. But not all the way, because he is not getting kicked in the crotch all day, so there's that.. There's a reason Men don't have babies..

I have had plenty of time for TV.. so thats been fun.. Still supporting my Trace Adkins on Celebrity Apprentice, and Blake Shelton on the Voice.. Those two make for good TV! We've also enjoyed some new shows.. Bates Motel is creepy and good, and MJ has started watching "The Following".. Lots of pretty good TV on right now..

I do sometimes feel bad about bringing up two little girls in this world.. with the Bombs that happened in Boston yesterday, and the school shootings a few months ago, Its just sad. The acts are heartbreaking, but even more heartbreaking is the people who do them.. I mean where does this hatred and sick desire to hurt people come from?  Its just sad. What drives people to get to that point? I suppose they are just lost.. I don't know.. but I can only hope and pray each night that eventually they will be able to find Peace with God and figure it out. Until then, it will be sad to watch. Thoughts and Prayers go out to the families in Boston.

Twinnies at Twinny8 Weeks! (See what I did there) lol..Clever.

Well here they are! We went and saw them last Friday and they looked great on the Ultrasound.. Baby B is up top.. she was being photogenic.. Baby A is on the bottom. she hid her face most of the time, and then at one point said "Talk to the hand".. and said no to the paparazzi, lol.. Jordan was like "yay Baby A, you show them!! lol.. They are pretty big, A is 2.13 lbs, and B is 2.14 lbs.. Everything on them looked great..

Nothing has really changed with me.. nothing worse, nothing better, so I'll take that. As long as the girls are doing good and growing, I'm happy with that.. I'm having one of my showers on Saturday. It should be fun to see everyone and eat some Lemon bars! Never in my life have I cared more about sweets than now.. I long for cakes, cookies, and pies.. and of course hot fudge sundae's from Braums.. I mean who doesn't?

Have you guys been watching "The Bible" on the History channel? Its so good! MJ & I have enjoyed it so much.. Love it because they stay pretty true to the bible, and I also love it because so many people are watching it. I'm super excited about Easter Service at Crossings.. This will be my 5th year in going there and the first time I visited there it was Easter and I thought.. Man, this is the church for me! The music was just tremendous! Mom is coming up for the Shower on Saturday and will stay and go to church on Sunday.. Brandon is bringing his kiddos along too, so it will be a fun day. I love sharing my church with other people.

The Nursery is DONE! Yes, DONE! Brandon came over and put together the changing table for us, and that was the last thing.. here's some pics..
I love my big puffed chairs.. I had to get two big arms so I could rock them both.. Love my bedding, and I love all the glitter on the walls!! Everything turned out so cute. We do have a wooden sign that we are waiting on to come in.. It looks like this..
So once that gets in, and hung, we will be good to go. I have another Dr. Appointment tomorrow wtih Goff. I don't think we will know much more than we do now, other than check their heartbeats and make sure all is well with them. He usually doesn't Ultrasound me there..

I saw where Lincoln comes out on DVD tomorrow.. I never did get to see it, so we will probably try to watch that.. I'm also pretty excited about the new GI JOE movie.. Because I love GI JOE? Hell no.. because I love THE ROCK! And then you throw in a little Channing Tatum? I ain't mad atcha.. So since we are off work on Friday, I may see if MJ can be talked into taking me.. See the cool thing about GI Joe, is it looks like a 'guys' movie.. so guys will want to go to it, and girls will want to stare at the Rock and Channing Tatum.. Its a Win/Win..

I had to go back in for a 2nd sleep study.. I hated it. I mean really.. What good can come of trying to sleep study a pregnant woman? I wake up every 3 hours to Pee..(Baby A's feet are on my bladder) I roll over constantly because I run out of air (Baby B has her feet near my lungs). I keep rolling because my legs go to sleep from being on my side. SO I'll be shocked if they got ANY information out of that little ditty.. Supposedly I don't have sleep Apnea, I have sleep Hypothia. What's that? Who the hell knows.. its something like I don't breathe deep enough.. I went in for the sleep study because I yell out in the night like a weirdo. I go to sleep really fast, and then I'll be all "AHHHHHH!" and scare the crap out of MJ and the dogs.. Its weird, I know.. I have no idea why. They said (from the 1st study) it was because I went into REM sleep so quickly and started dreaming.. So I doubt they can fix out my random yelling.. we'll see. They put a Cpap machine on me and  felt like I was suffocating, so who know.. I'll report back.

Still no names folks.. probably not happening until they come out.. I can tell you one thing, if they are anything like me or their dad, they will be hard headed.. thus the reason for no names. The Sweet dog babes are good.. although Rally is looking more and more like he came from Pet Cemetery.. I know, its awful to say, but he's 14, and he roams around like a random person living in our house.. He still seems happy, and gets around Ok, so we just try to keep him happy. Pays & Saw went to the groomer and are so cute!

Keep us in your prayers, we want to keep baking the babies till 36 weeks.. I feel 'ok'.. I think I feel as good as can be expected at this point.. being pregnant with twins.. being giant.. peeing all the time.. and being kicked in the crotch.. That is all for now!

Sugar & Spice & Everything else I want to eat..

So here we are.. almost 26 weeks now.. which means I'm roughly 10 weeks away from my goal! Twins are full term at 36 weeks, so I want to make it at least that far, so thats what we are shooting for.. I'm hoping to do this without having to go on bed rest, and still feeling ok.

I am feeling ok... I mean, its not great.. It starts off great in the morning after I've rested all night, but then I slowly go down hill.. And bending.. Oh geez. I would rather set the things I drop ON FIRE than  bend down and pick them up.. and wouldn't you know, when you really hate dropping things you only DROP MORE.. Its so annoying! Like Ice for example.. Every night I take a glass of Ice water with me to bed.. EVERY STUPID NIGHT the ice falls out of the ice maker and onto the floor. I swear it is taunting me.. Or my makeup.. Every day something like my mascara, a makeup brush, or a bobby pin falls on the damn floor and I have to bend down to pick it up.  And no, my feet don't really help me, because lately putting on socks is also a nightmare.. My legs and feet don't want to reach up..They are all "NO.. NO, I Can't do it! I Just don't have the POWER!"..  Being pregnant makes you really appreciate your bending abilities.. lol

Other than that though, I feel pretty good.. I haven't had (yet) any of the other things that some pregnant women have.. Haven't had heartburn which is good.. Really just feeling uncomfortable and having a hard time getting around is the only thing I have going on..So I feel blessed about that.

So my puffy glider rocker came in from Stork Vision.. ITs pretty great.. It has two giant arms, for my two big babies! We also got the Changing table/dresser in as well..but MJ has not put that together yet.. I can't say I blame him, it looks like a nightmare. WE've made a deal that I won't put stuff together anymore.. Why you ask? Because I don't read the directions, and then end up hot-gluing wood, or wiring things shut.. Yeah, its not good. I'll take some more pics once we get everything up and done.. I also painted a cute little shelf lime green.. It looks good, but we may not have anymore room!

We got back to Dr. Mirabile to see the skin babes on Monday. We will see how the excess fluid around them is doing..I still feel them kicking and moving around in there.. This morning they are on two opposite sides with their own space.. Sometimes they stay close to each other, but they were spread out today. I know this because I have one of those heart-rate monitor thingies at home, and I listen to their heartbeats.

The dog babes are doing good... Payslee enjoyed a lovely roast bone last night, and Sawyer was gnawing on a lovely deer antler.. I got them a CD called "Baby Sounds for Pets" and Pays is freaked out by it.. Sawyer could care less. It plays sounds of babies crying and cooing to get them used to the sound..But I think Miss P would rather see where the sounds are coming from, because right now she just stares at the CD player like its coming after her.. We took them to Canute this weekend and I left Saw out for like 20 minutes.. I go look at him, and he's a mud dog.. He's completely covered with a giant smile on his face.. He loves farm time. I've been taking them off leash to run at their field and I love watching him.. He is so free! So is Miss Pays.. Its my favorite thing to do with them! I love letting dogs be dogs.. which includes running, sniffing, playing, and just being free. MJ has been walking them each day, and they love that too.. I can't walk that far anymore, but he's been doing a great job with them. They love going with him too.. They are so sweet.. all of them!

MJ & I are thinking of snapping a few maternity pics.. but who knows. I seem to be unable to get inspired to get dolled up to do this, and this take pictures of my giant body.. But we'll see what happens.

So tonight I'm going in for a sleep study at the sleep clinic place.. I do not really have sleep apnea, but since being pregnant I can't really breathe at night.. I also have weird sleep habits.. Like I holler out in the night. MJ thinks this is odd, and disturbing, so he thought I should have it checked out as well.. Like for example..I'll drift off to sleep and then all the sudden I'll just scream "AHHHH!".. and it scares MJ, and the dog babes.. lol.. I have no idea why I do it.. I start dreaming immediately when I go so sleep, so I guess I'm always being active in my dreams. .Speaking of dreams.. People say your dreams get weirder when you are pregnant...but mine have always been weird. A few weeks ago I dreamed that I was at a place that was giving away free rides on giant multi-colored Ostriches and Llamas.. So I went for a ride on the Ostrich, and then when I got off I looked over and Saw Jesus walking down the road.. so I start screaming "Jesus!! Lord!! Jesus!" trying to get his attention.. He looks over and gives me a head nod, and keeps walking.. lol.. How great is that! No clue what that could possibly mean.. but I think anytime you dream about The Lord, its a good day!

Here's what's Awesome..

So here we are.. 22 weeks pregnant. I can now sortof feel the babies now, but hell, I've never been pregnant before, so I'm not really sure what I can feel.. Jordan felt one of them kick a little bit the other day, but so far they are not beating me up, so that is nice.. I realize that they are going to have a really cool bond, and I'm excited about that.. These two little guys in this video make me laugh!!

About 2 weeks ago I had to go to labor and delivery.. I thought I was leaking amniotic fluid (don't google..it never results in  good news).. so I call my Dr, and he's actually in training that day so they send me to the Triage unit at Mercy.. Those folks are awesome over there, but I really didn't think anything was wrong.. Sure enough, I was right, and I was just peeing myself.. Go ahead.. Laugh.. Get it out.. I  know.. The jokes on me.. I have had overactive bladder since my 20's, so you can only imagine what being pregnant with twin girls does to my bladder.. They sit on it, and apparently I pee myself. Awesome. But... glad everything was good.

I've decided that I'm gradually getting annoyed with things people say to me when they find out I'm having twins.. It reminds me of this:
People are constantly saying to me
"Do Twins run in your family?".. Well not really.. I mean I think I have some 5th cousins or something that are twins..
"Are they paternal?".. Well yes, they do have a father.. That would be MJ.
"Oh, you're going on bed rest huh?".. Well now that's a negative attitude to have! I hope not! I'm trying to do everything in my power to keep that from happening, so don't remind me about it.
"Twins..What are you going to do about that?!".. Um, well nothing..You can't really give one back.
"Holy Moly, the diapers! Are you going with re-usables?".. No. I am trying to keep my sanity, so no.
"Wow, you are going to be huge"..thanks captain obvious.. I already feel that way, but thanks for making me feel worse.
"Do you have Names?" Um, no.. My husband and I are at odds on this one.

Those are just a few of my fav's.. I get many more.. but mainly people are just overly excited.. Like random people walk up to me in stores when they hear me talking to sales people and offer twin excitment.. its odd, but fun.

We went to dinner with my friend Kristen & Her hubby Mike the other night.. They have a 4 month old little boy and I was sitting there thinking "There's no way I'll be able to eat in public for like 9 months".. lol..The Baby was great! But can you imagine me waltzing in with 2 sets of everything! We'd be like a spectacle.. and that's assuming the girls weren't flailing about and acting wild! I'm pretty sure when traveling with twin girls we are going to be quite a site.

MJ & I went to our first baby class a couple of weeks ago. Its called "Preparing for Multiples".. it was really good. We took it at Baptist because that is the only place that offers it.. It was 2 weeks in a row, and really great. I had to laugh though when they showed me the "Double football hold" for breastfeeding..The other irony to me is that there are women in the world that let you PHOTOGRAPH them double football holding their twins and breastfeeding.. (I'll spare you the pics, but if you are just dying to see, you can click HERE) What the hell! Why!! I'm quickly realizing that there is just no way to be cool while breastfeeding twins.. In fact, my cool days are probably over pretty soon..However, I've led a pretty cool life for awhile now, so probably about that time.. especially if I end up driving a sweet mini van! You can't imagine the food I'm supposed to be eating.. 3500 calories/day, like 8 servings of protein, 2 of eggs, 6 of dairy, 6 fruits, 6 vegetables, etc.. and then a GALLON of water.. Well great.. Just hook me up to a catheter.. awesome.

We got the other crib in.. We'll probably put that up this weekend, and by ME, I mean MJ doing it, while I sit and chat with him and try to help, until he takes all my tools away and shoo's me out of the room.. We also ordered my rocking chair, and the twins Pink Fluffed bunny Chair.. I know, I know..they probably don't NEED a fluffed bunny chair, but I kinda feel like I need one, so in turn they need one. If they made them for adults you can bet your sweet bippy I'd be sitting on one right now to help my aching tailbone!

I go back to Dr. Mirable today for another ultrasound. They are moving around right now.. someone told me to eat skittles before I go to the appointment and they will move around..but with baby B, she is always on the move, so I don't think I need skittles.. Hopefully we'll get some good pictures this time. Last time they didn't really pose.

Should have the nursery almost finished soon.. I'll post pics when we do. We are having a lady come over and paint a tree in there and then will decorate the branches.. I have a few fun, glittery numbers to hang on the walls, so it should be pretty fabulous when I'm done. 16 weeks to go!!

I still feel like I'm getting kicked in the crotch everyday, and of course I Pee every 5 minutes.. oh, and my uterus is still exploding..but other than that, I'm powering though!! Here's a Baby Bump pic with me and Miss Pays at 21 weeks! The dog babes are still being weird and 'nesting' my stomach.. lol..They must know something is up. Payslee wants to lay on top of it, and Sawyer wants to lay right by it.. They are my sweet birds.

I build People.. I'm Pregnant blog

                                                  321074 10151362783001273 715868724 n
Well, I have officially announced that I am pregnant now, so I feel I can go ahead and give you all the details.. So I shall start at the beginning..

The first, cool thing about my pregnancy is that I actually had a dream to pee on a stick.. I know, I know.. Bizarre.. So I get up, and do it, and I see a faint line.. Well everyone says any line at all, is a line.. so ironically, that morning I was going it to get my thyroid tested, so I told them to go ahead and do a blood test for pregnancy.. Well, wouldn't you know. Pregnant! This was before I was late.. no signs.. etc.. I was literally 10 days pregnant. Thats how cool God is!

So.. After I find this out, I call my mom.. She of course thinks I'm kidding.. Why? Well, because I've never really known for sure if kids was something I wanted.. I knew I didn't want them until I had the man to go with them..So after MJ and I got married, we were not really sure about when or if we wanted to have kids..After talking about it, we decided to give it a shot, not knowing how long it would take, or if I could get pregnant at all! I mean, I'd never tried to get pregnant before, so it was an unknown land! lol.So Mom was ecstatic.. over the moon.. So now onto How to tell MJ.. As many of you know, I'm not touchy feely, and I don't have a lot of 'gushy' ideas.. So this is what I came up with.. I went and got a Card that looked like a Monster..
littlemonster for mj
And on the inside I wrote "Hope you are ready for our own little Monster!"..And Put the pregnancy stick picture inside of it.. The irony for MJ is that he had been thinking about getting a Chevy Blazer.. and Old one..He had wanted one for awhile, and had found one online..well before I gave him this card he found out the Blazer was sold, so he thought I was giving him a sympathy card because his blazer was no longer for sale.. No. No I wasn't doing that.. lol.. So I give him the card at at first he is puzzled.. (Thats what I get for trying to be clever) But after he saw the "Pregnant" sign it came to him.. I think his first reaction was "THAT DIDN'T TAKE LONG".. which he should know..because I'm an overachiever.. lol..Mom decides at this point that 1 baby isn't enough and says to me "I really think we will need more than one".. I say "Sorry Boutcha..be happy with your one".. My dad is also excited because My sister has just had a baby the week prior, and my brother's baby was born a month earlier, so he's excited they will have a new friend.

So within the first few weeks after that those lovely pregnancy symptoms started.. I can say that I'm truly grateful that I didn't puke..but I was NOT grateful for the nausea, bloat, food aversions and all that good stuff.. I realized quickly that BBQ was not my friend.. the smell killed me.. Fast forward to me being 8 weeks (Which took FOREVER because I had known I was pregnant since I was 10 days, lol) and to our first Dr. Appointment..

We go in for our first Ultrasound and I have no freakin clue what is going on.. I have no concept of pregnancy, and I don't know what to expect at these things..They tell me to keep a full bladder which is like telling me to hang the moon.. I have overactive Bladder syndrome, so telling me that is like shoving hot coals in my eye.. But I do it.. I'm so nervous though! I need to pee.. I have no idea what to expect.. I'm about to vomit from needing to pee.. gotta go gotta go gotta go right now.. I was starting to think about peeing in the seat.. They call me back.. (FINALLY)

So I go in, lay down, and they squirt that stuff on my belly which irritates me. (Still needing to Pee like a Mo'fo) Well they start moving it around (I should add, we had an ultrasound tech from OU Med clinic that was just 'practicing' until the regular tech came in) and she stops on a tiny flicker.. She says "Thats the heartbeat".. I'm going to be honest.. I couldn't tell it was anything.. I mean, yes, I saw the flicker, but everything else looked like black/grey lines and blobs.. then she moves over a little and says "Oh, there's two"..Like EVERYONE gets two! I said.. "TWO WHAT?!?!" She says "Two heartbeats"..At this point.. I still have to pee, I'm about to throw up.. and also pass out at the same time.. She says "We will look more, go ahead and go to the bathroom"..

I race to the bathroom.. I'm flipping out. I mean really.. I pee, then I'm nauseous, and also light-headed, so I decide to splash water on my face.. TWO? TWO? I have no idea what to think.. I never considered TWO babies. I was happy with just one! I was an only child to my mom, and loved not having to share. MJ was good with ONE.. ONE ONE ONE ONE ONE.. Now there are TWO? Holy hell.. I'm about to lose it, but I have to go back out there (there's no other door to leave, lol).. I come out of the bathroom and look at MJ.. He's obviously taking this better than me.. lol.. The tech tells me to put my butt on a pillow.. I don't remember this, and put the pillow behind my head.. My clothes are soaked, my face is flushed, and I'm acting like a wild person.. MJ calms me down, I get on the table, and the tech and MJ give me a wet towel for my face (Apparently I looked pretty insane at this point).. So she starts up the Ultrasound again.. Well sure enough..Two..Two Heartbeats.. Two babies.. Two Sacs.. TWINS it is! This is just another reminder for me that you can plan till you are blue in the face, but God is going by HIS plan, not mine.. So cool how things work out because after I found out I was having twins I had such a sense of peace, because I knew he was in control, he was building them, molding me, and his plan was going to be way cooler than mine. God is good!

Walking out of the Dr office is a blur.. MJ is in a trance.. I'm in a trance.. I call my mom, who squeals with Joy! "See! I told you I always get what I want!".. lol.. of course.. I call my dad.. He also flips out.. I tell you, its a whole new world when you say "twins".. Its like one baby..ehh.. everyone has one.. but when you say "twins" people FLIP OUT.. I mean I have random people high-five me everyday when they find out.. People saying "OMG thats amazing! I've always wanted twins!!".. I mean it seriously sends people loopy.. Its funny.. But perfect for me, because I never do anything like other people, and certainly not the Normal way.

When we go to our 2nd doctor appt we do find out that we have the safest type of twin pregnancy.. DI/Di.. which means they have their own sacs, placenta's etc.. At that point, they look fraternal because 75% of Di/Di twins are fraternal.. We would know for sure on Jan 11 when we found out the sex of the babies..but the were healthy, growing, and jolly.. I was not so jolly.. By week 10 I already felt like a bloated mess.. My Uterus felt heavy all the time and I was SOOOOO Tired.. You thought I was lame before? I can tell you pregnancy has made me MORE lame if that is even possible. I'm not lying.. I went to bed at 7 after almost falling asleep in the bathtub.. blargh.. lol. This is the 3D ultrasound..they look like alien gummy bears to me, but its cool to see them just kickin it in there..
twinniesss
At our Jan 11 appointment we found out we were having twin girls. There is still a slight chance they can be identical (If the egg split early).. So people wonder how the twin thing happens..Well in my case, my eggs were so excited they flew down the tubes 2 at a time.. and there you have it.. See, all those times I kept asking my Dr. "Are my eggs dead?".. well we all know the answer to that now! Not only are they not dead, they fly down two at a time in delight! lol.. MJ was a little bummed about having two girls..We thought it would be one of each.. But as my dad says "Girls take care of you when you get old".. so there's that.. lol.. I'm excited, mom is excited.. Bows and Glitter here we come!!

So thats where we are at.. I'm almost 19 weeks, in my 2nd trimester.. However, I've sadly realized that with twins, you don't get the 2nd trimester burst of energy that people with just ONE get.. I'm still tired, I feel like my Uterus is exploding, and I am still in bed by 8:00.. I already feel like a giant barn walking around.  Baby A is down low, and seems more peaceful and content.. Baby B is wild..flailing around in the womb..She actually waved at us at one of our Ultrasounds..They are both growing and healthy right now. We go back for another Ultrasound (being that I'm high-risk I go every month, but we get to see cool 3D images, so thats awesome) on Feb 8th. So far everything is on track! Thanks for all the well-wishes! This is going to be an entertaining Ride! One real babe for each dog babe!! :)

Well Hi 2013

Well here we are.. brand New 2013. I could lie and tell you that I stayed up till midnight partying like a Rock star..but thats what it would be.. a Lie.. lol.. I was in bed by 9. MJ came in and kissed me at Midnight, and that was pretty much all I saw of the New Year partying.. What can I say.. I've always went to bed at 9, and I'm probably going to always do it!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas... We went to several of them.. On Saturday, we went to Jordan's moms house, and I got a real-life, Popcorn maker! Like you would have at a store! I was way more exicted about this than MJ.. Then on Christmas Eve in anticipation of the snow storm, we drove to Canute.. But went to my dads in Sentinel First. My new Niece & Nephew, Ava, and Joe were there and funny.. They got an OU Chair (I know, wrong school)..but never-the-less, they loved the chair and just sat there all Jolly together. Ava is 3 months Old, and Joe is 2 months old, but already outweighs her.. lol.. I got Joe a Mustache Paci, and he seemed to enjoy it, and rocked it pretty well, lol

How great is this! lol.. They are pretty jolly sitting there.. My dad gave MJ a new Knife, and my brother gave MJ some explosives.. lol.. My family is entertaining with weapons!! We also got some Christmas Cash, which was awesome.. We are thinking about getting a freezer with it, or a storage shed.. We are already running out of room in our NEW house.. shocker.

Then we had Christmas Day with my mom.. Our stockings are always our favorite there, because they come up with the most random stuff ever to put in there.. Like magic jumping beans, air horns, hand warmers, air freshners.. lol.. It goes on and on, and it makes us laugh.. MJ got headphones for his gaming system, so he was fired up about that, and I got a boom box that plays my Ipod and the radio.. we loved all our stuff, it was awesome. I also got this scary lady statue that I put by the fireplace.. Mom knew I would love her, but MJ is creeped out by her, much like he is with creepy Indian head guy that my dad gave me.. lol.. I love them both!

My brother Randy got us this amazing 7ft tall Pistol Pete.. He lives outside our house during football season. He's awesome! Here he is chilling outside our house.. Doesn't he look amazing! He has a friend that makes them.. The Crow's Nest You can see more there..

At the farm we got a TON more snow than OKC did.. it really was a blizzard for a little bit..they probably got 3" of snow out there.. and it was blowing, so there were drifts all over the place and such. MJ and I took his truck out there with the dog babes, so we were fine to drive.. At one point at Christmas at mom's house, we had NINE dogs in the house..NINE.. All playing and having fun, lol.. Of course Miss P will only play with Sawyer, and climbs on the back of the couch 'away' from the others, because she is a diva..

We came back to OKC on WED, and went to Jordan's dad's on Thursday.. His Aunt, Uncle, and Grandma came down from Tulsa so it was nice to see all of them..I got an amazing Nikon Camera, AND a video camera there, which is awesome..and MJ got a gaming monitor for his Xbox, so his is setup with that and his headphones for gaming pleasure, lol.. We had a really great Christmas.. Very blessed and thankful for all the people we have in our lives.

I took the dog babes (all 3 of them) to the Vet on Monday to get their shots..I was there for 2 hours.. geesh.. but, I was so proud of them for being patient, good babes.. The babies are in exceptional health.. Perfect weights, great teeth, good bones.. they got an A++.. Rally, who is coming up on 15 years old, is not doing that well, but hey, he's like 95 in dog years.. he has lost some muscle mass in his hips and back legs.. and some of his sight due to cataracts.. The Winter makes it much worse on him.. Not sure how much longer we will have him, but for now he is still getting around pretty good, and still plays with Sawyer. They are all good..

I'm so sick of my hair right now.. I'm going in on the 21 to hopefully do something different with it.. Nicole at Changes Hair Salon will hook me up.. I found this pic of me taken when I was doing radio.. I still miss it every day.. Hope everyone has a great 2013!!!
