Well I ended up getting to watch all the CMA's last night. I was supposed to go to church, but Lauren & I went to eat half-price Sushi at Buddah Tao, and for some reason it took them an HOUR to make, so we missed it..So I went on home to watch the awards. Here's a few of my personal "Highlights" in no order..
1) Zac Brown Band
2) Lady A
3) Sugarland
4) Daughtry & Vince Gill
5) Miranda Lambert
I thought Brad & Carrie did a great job hosting, and over all I thought the show was really good. Some of the performances were a little 'off'..but such is life with a LIVE show. This morning we took a lot of calls from People that said the awards show wasn't "Country" last night, but I personally believe there is a place for everyone in Country music. I mean back when Ronnie Milsap, John Denver, and Conway Twitty were on the top 40 charts crossing over into Country people said that they were not "Country".. and When Willie wore his hair too long, or Waylon acted like an outlaw they weren't "Country"..So I think thats the beauty of "Country" music..It transforms, it migrates, and it changes..and the beauty is that ITS ALL GOOD! Why worry about who's too this, or too that, and just like the good music? Because there is a ton of great music out there to listen to, and the one thing I've always loved about Country music is how loyal the fans are, and how they embrace their memebers and stand behind them..So thats my soapbox for the day! Hope you enjoyed the awards show!
Who wants to hear about God, Babies and dogs & Cows? Well... You've come to the right place! All pictures on this site are mine. Unauthorized use, or copying of pictures is strictly prohibited.

CMA's on Tonight & Happy Veterans Day
Happy Veterans Day to those Serving, and those who have Served before. I lost one of my favorite soldiers last year, Dick Johnson. He was a fighting Seabee in World War II, and my former Co-host..I miss him everyday. So thank you very much to all our Veterans.

So tonight the CMA awards are on..I won't get to watch the first hour till later, because I'm going to Church with Lauren. We are taking another great class at Crossings about putting the bible's words into your everyday life..And Its a really good class. It starts at 6:30, so I won't be home till around 8:00. I'll DVR the first hour though and watch it back. I know that Taylor Swift is opening the show, and there will also be performances by Jamey Johnson with Kid Rock, Vince Gill with Chris Daughtry, and Brooks & Dunn in one of their last performances together with ZZ Top. Should be a good show. As far as my picks go:
Entertainer of the year--Kenny Chesney
Female Vocalist--Carrie Underwood
New Artist--Darrius Rucker
Male Vocalist--Kenny Chesney
Song of the year--In Color
Album of the Year--Taylor Swift, Fearless
Single of the Year--Chicken Fried--Zac Brown Band
There are a few others, but those are the Majors. I'll be anxious to see how everyone 'sounds'.. You can always tell the great vocalists from the ones who need a little 'audio help'. I haven't heard what Sugarland is going to perform yet, but Jennifer Nettles always knocks it out of the park..When she sang "Stay" a few years ago, I couldn't tear my eyes away!!
Too bad that ONCE AGAIN Gary Allan & Trace Adkins got shut out..What a pile of crap. That always irritates me.. Well have fun watching the show, lets compare tomorrow and discuss!

Blue Suede Shoes for you.
Well hello.. Hope everyone had a good weekend..Mine was boring. I mean I had 'bits' of excitement, but overall..BORING. I did go and see the Movie "The Fourth Kind".. ITs about Alien Abudictions that 'supposedly' really happened in Nome, Alaska..but I think the PR company just made it all up, because we've never really heard anything about it before now.. but it was still pretty freaky. It was much better than Paranormal Activity! Its worth your money if you like Scary movies.
Other than that I just 'hung out'.. I took the dogs rollerblading, and to their field, and took my Halloween stuff down.. I didn't put up my Christmas stuff yet, but its on my to-do list..Lynn is thinking about switching to the LED lights this year, and I might too.. They are so bright! I did find the time to make this though:..see too much time on my hands.. lol..

Are you KC Sheperd? Who wants to Know?

Happy Friday!
I took Payslee on a Therapy Visit yesterday to the Assisted living center in Edmond. She had a good time visiting. She was wearing her Polka Dot Dress and the little ladies love that! I loved the little lady that told me my skin looked like a 20 year olds!! Woo wee! Gotta love it! I was supposed to take Sawyer, but I chickened out. .lol.. I know, I know.. but I knew he would cry to play with the other dogs, so I'm hoping to teach him a little restraint before I take him..But he will get to go, I promise.
I'm going to try to go see that movie that Jimmy Carter was talking about. Its called "The Blind Side" with Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw..He said it was really good, so I'm excited to go. Tonight I'll be at Taft High School for a broadcast with Channel 9 for the Football Game..Then tomorrow I'll be at the Quarterhorse Show from 2-4. I love seeing all those beautiful horses!
I am going to be on the Sunday Morning Gospel show with Lynn this Sunday Morning to talk about my CD. I finally finished it..Its called "KC Sheperd Gospel Greats" and its basically just my favorite Gospel Songs. I did two songs with my Dad, Kirby, and he did an awesome job. We sang "Amazing Grace" together and "Wish you Were Here" and then I put "I know Who Holds Tomorrow" on it, and thats a song I did for my Grandma Leona. It was her favorite, so that makes it special to me. Hope you all enjoy it..We have them here at the Radio station for $5 if you would like one..Have a great weekend!

Breakup Song Thursday
So this morning we were talking about songs that help you through a Breakup.. Is it wrong that I have FULL CD's with very colorful names like, "I Wish you were Dead" cd? Or How bout, "Shut your mouth you stupid idiot" cd..all full of Songs that make me feel better about the breakup. I even make them for other people when they are going through a breakup because I feel like Music heals the soul..So if you need one, hit me up, and I'll pass one along to you.. I don't really like "Woe as me" breakup songs, I'm more of a "Put this in your pipe and Smoke it" kinda gal. I need anger. lol. Here's a couple of my favorites:1) A Little Gasoline--Terri Clark
2) Good as I was to you--Lorrie Morgan
3) Shut up & Drive--Chely Wright
4) Two Pina Coladas--Garth Brooks
5) Kiss This--Aaron Tippin
6) A Little Past Little Rock--Leeann Womack
7) Friends in Low Places (The LIVE Version)--Garth Brooks
8) Never Mind Me--Big & Rich
9) She Doesn't Dance--Mark McGuinn
10) What I need to do--Kenny Chesney
11) Cold one Coming on--Montgomery Gentry
So there's a few of my favs.. We had a TON of call this morning with folks listing some GREAT songs..
I'm going to take Sawyer to a therapy visit today. I'm nervous about it because there will be other dogs there, and Sawyer has a hard time focusing on the actual people, because he jus
t wants to play with the other dogs! He gets his feelings hurt if he can't go play with the other dogs.. Its just ridiculous..but he's got to learn, so I'm going to go ahead and take him. His cuteness is over whelming, so maybe he will have fun being all puffish for people.

My Milkshake brings all the boys to the yard
So Today I have to go and get bloodwork done. Its a yearly thing, and they told me I have to fast 6-8 hours before..So I got up at 3:30 this morning and made myself a plate of Sausage and Eggs (thinking protein would keep me full for a longer amount of time)..but the downer to doing that, is that now I smell like Sausage and Eggs! Blargh! Its like when you go into a really good place that serves Onion Burgers.. And man, you love that burger, while you are there...but then you leave and the rest of the day you smell like Onion burger!! Dang. The other dilemma is that I do NOT do well when People take blood from my body.. Even small amounts. The last time I had a blood test, the woman wanted to take two small vials of blood..Okay..sounds great.. NOPE. She quit after one, because my face had turned white and I was about to pass out! My blood likes to stay IN my body. I'm "That guy" that is forbidden to give blood at Blood drives because everytime I try It never works out..and then
end up having to elevate my feet, put icepacks on the back of my neck, and try to keep me from passing out, or throwing up! So they kindly asked me NOT to come back to give blood.. lol.. Oh well.. AT least I tried!Went walking yesterday with the dogs..It was a beautiful day. Today I think we'll rollerblade at Lake Hefner.. This morning we talked about How Sandwiches can cure what Ails you..Here's the Article:
*The Right Sandwich Can Solve All Your Problems!
Sandwiches aren't just for lunch anymore. In fact, a new study says a variety of the tasty concoctions are the cure for what ails you. "You can target particular problems with the right combination of ingredients," says Detroit dietician Marcia Grapley. "Whether you want to cut calories or stop a migraine, your choice of sandwich fixings can help achieve your goal while pleasing your taste buds." "But there is one rule you must follow -- no white bread. It's high in sugar and doesn't have the amount of fiber you find in other breads such as wheat, rye or pumpernickel."
**Grapley suggests tuna salad on rye with low-fat mayo and lettuce and tomato can decrease the frequency and intensity of migraine headaches. "Insomnia is not a problem most of us would think could be helped by a sandwich, but we'd be wrong," says Grapley. "In fact, a slice turkey and cream cheese is guaranteed to help you get the shut-eye you crave."
**If you suffer from a lack of energy and worry about bone density, pump up the volume with a roast beef and Swiss cheese on rye with mustard. The meat is high in protein while the cheese is filled with calcium -- a one, two punch that's hard to beat.
You can rev up your love life with a surefire combination of honey, figs, ricotta cheese and orange slices on wheat bread.
**Watching your weight and cholesterol levels? Slap together a tasty broiled veggie burger topped with salsa. "One of my favorite combinations for people who want to up their potassium intake is an avocado and roast chicken sandwich," says Grapley. "Chicken is also chocked full of niacin, which boosts your metabolism.
**Researchers discovered another winning sandwich is sliced apple and peanut butter. Down one of these before you work out. You can even eat your way out of a hangover by eating a toasted chocolate and banana sandwich.

Halloween fun for you and me..& Recipes

Well we had a fun weekend! Friday was a busy busy day.. We were broadcasting at Braums and guess who stopped by.. JIMMY RAY! For those of you who listen to the show, you know that Jimmy is a very entertaining listener! He's usually drunk by about 4:30am..So we were looking forward to meeting him! He looked EXACTLY like we had pictured, and acted the same way! He smelled like Whiskey and old Cigarettes, and was freakin Hilarious.. We did a Webisode with him.. But I want to warn you, it does inlcude cursing, so there's your disclaimer.. Here's a picture of him..
So that was definately entertaining..We had a good crowd, so hopefully everyone had a good time at the Mytown Tour! Then
after we got back to the station I had to race over to the TV shop, and pick up the new bulb to my TV. Of course I had to call 2 different people about how to put it back in..but thankfully I made that happen..then I had to call Graves Satellite and have them walk me through about how to hook the Direct TV up..and thankfully they were able to do that..so my tv is back in action! Okay..Here's the Jimmy Ray Mohawk Video.. lol
So I went home, put back on my "Master Shake" Costume.. and headed to Toby Keith's for the Easton Corbin show. We were having a Costume Contest, and the Winner was excellent! She was dressed up as our President, handing out fake $100 bills, and driving a "Cash For Clunker! How
great is that! So she won a trip to Branson! Easton was great too.. we just love him, and he did a great job entertaining the crowd.
So we had a great time doing that.. Lynn was dressed up as Nacho Libre, Bill was the guy from Halloween, and I was "Master Shake" from adult Swim. But that wasn't my only costume! After we finished up with Tobys, I had a remote At Bob Howard and we had a great time there too..with lots of Ghouls and Goblins!

Saturday I got up and went to watch the "Michael Jackson This is It" movie.. It was really good, and really. It made me sad because he was such an amazing
artist and dancer.. Then I took the Dogs Trick or TReating at the Dog Boutique and Sawyer got his feelings hurt by a mean Maltese who acted ugly to him..He sat and cried and cried! lol..He's such a softy.. lol.

So after that I went home to get my costume together. I was going as "Helga" the Viking Opera Singer.. It all ended up working out pretty good.. When I got to the party Brandon was dressed up as a Playboy Bunny, Amy was Hugh Hefner, and Lauren was..........KC SHEPERD! What! She was carrying around two stuffed dogs saying "Look at my sweet Biscuits".. lol.. It was pretty funny though..She had this horrific wig on with pink streaks on it.. It ended up being pretty funny. I'll try to post some more stuff tomorrow.. Hope you all had a great Halloween!
