What do Men Want?..I'm not the one to ask.. haha!

I had a fun weekend. I sang at the Hinton Fair on Friday night..and all was well until my grandma (who was holding Rally) let him get away and he went and jumped on another dog..Bad Rally! But the good news is that I didn't miss a beat from the stage! Its going to take more than that to knock off my rhythm! We had a great time at the fair..Lots of fun KKNG listeners, and my mom & dad, grandma, and Ellen all came up to watch, so we had fun!

Then Saturday mom and I went to an AKC dog show in Elk City. Mom was helping out with the "Obedience" portion of the show, and while we 'thought' at the time we were good trainers, and had well behaved dogs..we realized that we are idiots!! lol.. There were dogs there doing the most amazing things! So yeah, Me and Miss Payslee, and Sawyer have a lot of work to do! They take their therapy dog test On Sept. 12, so I hope they are ready to go by then, and pass the test! Sawyer could pass on cutenss..lol.. He got his hair cut over the weekend and now he is even more handsome! My grandma Made Miss Payslee a dress and even though in this picture she looks less than enthusiastic (she was sleepy from all her farm play) she did look very cute in her dress.
We had a good day at Church yesterday and all is well. Lynn will be back on Wednesday. Today we talked about what men want, Vanilla Wafers, and dogs on the show..look for more weirdness from Bill & I tomorrow!

Friday fun in Hinton

HI Everyone.. I'm heading to Hinton today to sing at their fair. I'll take the stage at 7, and hope my voice holds up for 10 songs..I never practice, so its always iffy on if I can sing 4 songs or 14, but we'll see what happens! They will have homemade icecream and other deliciousness, so I will have fun. Plus the dog babes are all going..Maybe Payslee will sing.. Not really..

Anyway, I went to a very cool class on Wednesday at Church called "The Last Days" it was very informative and cool. The guy that is teaching it is a genius! Okay, maybe not, but he seems to be..He is bionic smart about all the religions and what their theory on the 'End of Days" might be.. We go every Wednesday at Crossings at 6:30, so I'll have more to report next week.

I've really enjoyed the rain..makes everything so pretty, and these temps are awesome for August! Lynn is off till next WED so Bill and I will be acting foolish and unreasonable on the air.. lol.. Bear with us.. I'm headed West for the rest of the weekend, you all have a fabulous weekend!

Rollerblading Magic & Randy Houser

Well Yesterday all three of the dogs and I went Rollerblading. Payslee still likes to run the whole time. I also bought some Thank you cards yesterday to send out and one of them was that kind that plays music..The Dog Babes were weirded out by this:

We talked about this on the air this morning..Its Things you Should Never Wear past the age of 40. Here's the list: You may look half your age, but if you're over 40 there are certain things you should never wear -- no matter what. That's the word from fashion guru Tim Gunn, who serves as the mentor on the hit reality series "Project Runway" that premiered on Bravo in 2004.

If you're over 40, you should never wear:

Horizontal stripes
Jackets that hit at mid-thigh
Pleated pants
Double-breasted blazers
Capri-length pants
Low-rise jeans

Well For a week Lynny will be on Vacation, so Bill & I will try not to burn the station down. We watched a little bit of Jack Ingram on the Brooklyn Bridge this morning, He DID Set the record for the most radio interviews done in 24 hours. I believe he did 215 radio interviews in 24 hours! Blargh..that sounds like NO FUN. Can you imagine how many times he got asked the SAME questions! Ugh..Good on em' though for doing it..Randy Houser was on the show today. His song "Boots On" is now #3 on the charts, and it seems like only yesterday when he was in our conference room singing it:

I'll be singing at the Hinton Fair on Friday Night. I'm looking forward to the Homemade ice cream more than I am the singing! I still feel weird singing in front of people sometimes. I'm getting better about it though. Speaking of..I think I'm going into the studio tomorrow to try and record some more of my 2nd CD. I sang a bunch of the songs I'm putting on the CD at the Bradford Village assisted living center last week and they seemed to like all the songs, so hopefully thats a good sign! You all have a fabulous day!

Funny Nurses Singing

These very talented singers are all Certified Registered Nurse >> Anesthetists>> (CRNA) in Minnesota and they can really sing. This is hilarious! They have a website too: www.Laryngospasms.com

Well yesterday I had every intention of going to the gym..Yeah, I didn't make it. Dang. However, I was 'vacation planning' so that kinda counts as exercise right? No, Probably not..But anyway, I finally convinced my parents to go to the Balloon Festival in Albaqerque New Mexico in October. Its a giant festival of hot air balloons. You can ride in them, and they have a 'glow' at night in which you see all the balloons come alive and go up into the air. I'm excited. IT goes on for 2 weeks, but we are going to go the last weekend, Oct 8 thru the 11th. It will be a short trip, but very fun.

So a lovely lady named Deb, who makes all of Payslee's doggie dress/harnesses (Deb's Doggie Dresses) decided to paint a pretty picture of my Sawyer...Look at what a great job she did!

She does them for other people too, so if you want a painting of your pooch just click on the link above and you'll see where you can get your own. She does a great job!

Today Jack Ingram was on the show. He's trying to break a guiness world record for doing the most radio interviews in 24 hours..We'll find out tomorrow if he did!

A nice relaxing weekend..with thoughts of Otto..

So the most awkward thing happened on Friday morning.. For those of you who didn't hear me bragging about this..But James Otto let me have his cell number..Well I was too excited about that, because on my way home from the show, he texted me again to say how much he loved his magical bracelet that I gave him. See how cute he is posing with it! Then he wore it on stage, and told everyone he loved it, so that makes me jolly..

WEll anyway, back to my point.. So I have his phone number.. So on Friday I go to get gas and when I go to Pay I throw my cell phone into my car.. Well I guess my phone is also in love with James Otto because my PHONE DIALED HIM!! So when I got back into the car it had been connected for over a Minute!! AHHHHHHHHHHH! I didn't even check to see if he was actually ON the phone, because I was scared, so I just hung up! What a tool I am! So I'm going to have to be careful with that little gem!

I did have so much fun though at the newface Showcase.. Thanks to everyone who has been sending emails and calls about the show..We hope to do another one sometime, with not as many bands though..But still it was awesome! Let me just say that they Eli Young Band is HOT, and so is Justin Moore! Look for upcoming webisodes with both of those guys..

David Nail also did a great job, and I loved Caitlyn & Will.. truthfully, everyone did a helluva a job! And the crowd was great too, so thanks to everyone who came out.
Saturday I went to Dog Therapy Class..but this time I sent Sawyer..He did so good! He and Payslee both go for their certification on September 12. I think they will both pass. Or at least I hope they will!! Someone painted a picture of Sawyer.. I'll post it tomorrow.. Have a great day!

What a Night!

Wow! Wow! Wow! Thats all I have to say about last night..We had a BLAST at the Newface Showcase! I interviewed Joe Nichols for a KKNG Webisode, and I could not get him to be serious!

So sorry I'm so late in updatig this, but I just now recovered! lol.. I only got two hours of sleep, and so I had to catch up..I interviewed several of the artists, so look for those in upcoming KKNG Webisodes..

So as you all know (and heard from the stage) My delicious Otto and I had a great time. I asked him to sing "Turn the Page" and he did..and it as magical. Pretty much everything he did was magical! I got a lot of one-on-one time with him, and we had some great conversations..

My mom, Amy, Brandon, Lauren, Angie, Terri, and Ellen all came to the show and they had an absolute FANTASTIC time! Ellen became best friends with Will from Caitlyn and Will, and Mom loved Justin Moore.

I have more magical moments to post..but this will get you started..

Today is Newface Showcase Day!

Hello James Otto.. I will see you in a moment..

Today is a busy busy day.. First off, I'm going to sing at Bradford Village. Its a nursing home, and I'm hoping my voice holds up. I don't sing a lot these days, and so I get to where I can sing about 4 songs and then my voice craps out.. I'm going to try to sing 8 songs today there, and hope for the best. I haven't decided if I'm going to take Miss Payslee or not. I'm sure they would love her there..I'll have to see what she has on her social calendar! It will be good practice since tomorrow I'm supposed to go back into the studio and record a couple of more tracks for the CD. I'm thinking that might not work out though, because after singing today at the nursing home, and then screaming all night for James Otto at the newface showcase, my voice will probably be boot. I shall hope for the best.

Tonight is going to be a fun night.. I've been waiting for it forever. I'm excited to see Justin Moore, David Nail, and Joe Nichols..but you all know where my heart lies...YES, its with MDO..My Delicious Otto! I don't know if he is bringing Shannon Lawson with him or not, but I hope he is..Shannon's great too. I'm going to be doing some "Webisodes" with several of the bands, so look for those, coming soon on the KKNG website. I'm going to try to chat with James, Joe, Justin (all J's..lol) and the Eli Young Band.

The show could very sound like dirtface tomorrow..I'm thinking we will be out till after 11 tonight, then I have to drive back to the Northside, so get ready for that..lol. Mom, Lauren, Amy, Brandon, and Shelly are all coming to the show, so it should be funtimes.

So I went to eat Indian Food Tuesday....Uh Yeah..That didn't really work out. I think we (lauren & I) went about it all wrong..When we got there we were the only ones there, (we were eating pretty early) and we just went to the buffet and got random stuff..That was a mistake..We no likey..I felt bad because the manager came over and told us that usually when people are new to Indian food they give them the skinny on whats what, and
what they might eat..Well that didn't happen, so we had to leave.. So sorry..I'll try it again though.
Okay, well gotta run and get ready for the magical show. I'm presenting Joe Nichols with the "Artichoke" award for
having the only song in country music that says the
word "Artichoke".. See you all at the show!

Fun Weekend with movies & Dogs.. and Blaine Larson

Sawyer is acting dead here..

Well on Friday Blaine Larson stopped by the studio to sing his new single "IT Did"..Here ya go:

He looks like he is 16 years old! But he's actually 23..

I had a great weekend. ON Friday night Lauren & I went to see 'District 9'..and I can honestly say it was one of the weirdest movies I've ever seen! It was just bizarre..I can't decide if it was bizarre in a good way, or a bad way, but it was worth seeing just because you will have never seen anything like it!

Then on Saturday I went to the 'Taste of OKC' and sampled some delicious foods..I tried Indian food for the first time, and it was VERY good. I really liked it. I think I shall have it again today. It was from Gopuram Taste of India at 4559 NW 23rd street. I think I had Tandoori Chicken, although I can't recall for sure..it was good either way!

After that Joel wanted us to go see where he worked at America's Pub. Its in bricktown. I hate parking in bricktown, and I hate even MORE trying to get TO bricktown when they are working on the broadway extension! We couldn't find an exit to get off on! However, Once we got there we had a good time..but I'll be honest, I do NOT understand the attire of people in clubs nowdays. I saw several scantily clad women wearing prom dresses.. IN A BAR. It was bizarre..they would bend over and "Woopsie' out would fall their buttocks.. Or lean over and "Woopsie" there goes their boobies! Is that whats popular now? Have I missed the boat on this magical fashion trend?? WHAT is HAPPENING! Speaking of Fashion Don't..I snapped a pic of this gentleman at the movies:

Have a great day!

Happy Friday..I'm going to see District 9

Sawyer was being cute yesterday..
Tonight Lauren & I are going to see "District 9"..Jimmy Carter said it has 100% good reviews, which is a little scary..Usually if everyone LOVES it, I just kinda like it.. We'll see what happens.
We are also going to eat at this place called "Cafe 7" where everything is $7 no matter what..they have sandwiches, pizza, salads and pasta..Sounds delish! Its over on May by Quail Springs mall..I'll let you know how it goes.
Today Blaine Larson is stopping by the Studio. He's the guy that sang "How Do you Get that Lonely" and "The Best Man" a few years back. He's got a new song called "It Did" that I think is awesome! I'm excited to see him, even though he looks like he is 10 years old.. lol
Tomorrow I am singing the National Anthem at the Barrel Racing finals at the State Fair Grounds. I hate singing the National Anthem, because if you start off in the wrong key by the time you get to the end.. WOOPSIE..IT could end badly, so I'm nervous about that.. Speaking of Singing..I went back to see Larry at Singers Choice Karaoke in Crossroads mall yesterday to start working on some new songs for my next CD. I got 3 of them recorded, but I think I can only use two. Note to self: When recording a cd, its best to get NEW backup music, as opposed to the 1987 CASSETTE music!! So yeah, I'll have to get some new versions.
Saturday night I'm going to the "Taste of OKC" at the Cowboy hall of fame. I think it should be fun with tasty morsals and drinks! Have a great weekend!

I held a baby! Howdy Doody!

Yeah, so how bout that! I held a real, live baby yesterday.. Exciting right! Even more exciting that he didn't cry, and neither did I! And I didn't break him, or dislocate his arms or anything, which is what I'm always worried about..
I had a lovely dinnner last night with Amy, Brandon, Kelli, Lauren..We had a good time, except for that Lauren..You gotta watch her..She's kinda ghoulish.
I had some delicious Salmon and rice, and most everyone else had the steaks..It was all magical and good.
Can you believe we are ONE WEEK away from the Newface Showcase!! I know!!! Its almost OTTO-Time! I'm excited to see Justin Moore too and David Nail. I think its going to be a great show. Mom and a few of her friends are coming up too. It should be a night full of musical magic!
So I think I'm going to go start my 'sophomore' album today at Singers Choice Karaoke. Larry does a great job recording for me, so I think I'll go over today and try to lay a few tracks down..This album is going to be all gospel. The last one I just kinda threw together because it was a present for my mom, but I've picked out some nuggets for this one!..If I get any done I'll give you a sample..

Sushi is good for me..

Look at this lovely Angus Steer.. .

Thanks to everyone who came to see me in Moore yesterday for the George Strait CD release..We had a great time. Afterwards, since it was just around the corner I decided to call in some 'gogo Sushi' to go! I had some sort of magical Sushi Roll that had 4 different types of fish in it! Soo good..soo good..I can't eat it without Ginger, I do love that Ginger..So yeah, the Sushi was amazing!

Last night I took the dog-babes out to their magical field to run, and much to my surprise, there were already dogs there! WHAT! 2 other people were there with their dogs..Do they not know that that is OUR place! We should just put a fence around all of it, and call it a dog park over there..its the perfect location and all green with tons of grass and foliage to the dogs to play in. Payslee leaps like a bunny in it because she is so tiny that the grass is bigger than she is!

Tonight I am going to Cattlemans to eat with Brandon, Amy & Lauren..Brandon & Amy are bringing two of the members of the "KC's KOOL KIDs KLUB" those being thier kids, Brady and Anderson..Anderson reminds me of a little wolf. He is always grabbing things and is like a little scavenger, and he also hits, which makes me laugh, so I will be happy to see them. I feel like Anderson and I have a bond because he was in Amy's Womb at the Oak Ridge Boys concert..so I'm pretty sure he's going to grow up to be an Oaks fan.. Here is a picture of them both..

Edy was on with us from Pets and People Look at this sweet girl who needs a forever home:

Available for Adoption:
Cindy

Female
6 Months

Spaniel Mix
Pet ID Number: C23892

How to adopt go to www.petsandpeople.com or call 350-PETS to ask about her..
All pets over 12 weeks are spayed or neutered.
We give a free spay/neuter certificate to those adopting kittens or puppies.
This sweetie came in with her part Chow mommy, Sheba, and many brothers and sisters. Sheba is the most wonderful dog, and is loved by everyone, and this puppy appears to be taking after her mommy completely! She is just adorable, and so very clean - she won't potty in her crate at all, or even in an excercise pen. She will use the papers in the room she is in, or she will potty if we take her out to play. Housebreaking should be a snap - oh, if only they were all this easy!

Everybody loves Bacon..and Keith Urban gets Punked

WEll they do..

Hope you had a great weekend..busy busy for me..I had a ton of stuff on Saturday, and it was all funtimes. I was at Advanced Wireless in Norman, then Bob Howard in Edmond, then the Rodeo Opry. I was also supposed to take Payslee to therapy dog class, but it was at noon, and we didn't make it back in time.

Bill and I had an excellent time at the rodeo Opry! I took Payslee and she entertained the crowd in her gingham Pink dress and matching White Bow..She was pretty cute!! Everyone kept saying "I want to have her!"..but she's mine, and I could not ever part with my little biscuit girl! Bill played the drums for me when I sang "Just a Closer Walk With Thee" and then he went into "Wipeout" and it was awesome!! There's a VIDEO of it HERE.
I also sang "At Last" and thankfully didn't screw it up, so thats always a plus! We had a sold-out crowd, and they were a ton of fun too! Thanks to everyone who came out to see us. My friend Ellen Johnson came up, and Payslee was happy to see her..she was happy to see Pays because Payslee smelled like Cake! I have this amazing dog-spray that makes them smell like little Cakes..mm mm mm!!

Friday night I went to see Julie & Julia with Amy..It was SOOOO GOOD! You must see it..I love Meryl Streep, and she was very good as Julia Child..It was a very cute, funny movie! Then on Sunday I watched "The Perfect Getaway"..It was a very suspensful movie about a couple hiking in Hawaii with 2 killers on the loose..However, it didn't scare me..Why? Because I would never go hiking! lol!! Then last night I watched "Obsessed" on Pay per view. Thats the movie with Beyonce in it about a psycho girl trying to steal away her husband..It was pretty good too..
Sawyer was being really cute yesterday..He kept doing cute stuff, so I kept snapping his picture..Although I do need to trim his ponytail a bit..He has so much more hair than Payslee! But it looks a bit out of control right now..They both need to go to the groomer. I'm going to try to take them in the next couple of weeks. Next Saturday I'm singing the National Anthem at the fairgrounds for the Barrel Racing Finals. Hope you had a great weekend!!
Oh, and here's the video of the Taylor Swift punking Keith Urban!

Weekend full of KC Sheperd fun

I am BUSY this weekend.. If you have been saying to yourself, "Man, I dont see enough of that KC Sheperd"..well your time is near my friends!! Tomorrow I will be at the ATT Advanced Wireless store in Norman from 10-12..From 12-1 I have a "Therapy Dog Class" with Miss Payslee. From 2-4 I have a remote at Bob Howard off the Broadway extension in Edmond..Then tomorrow Night Bill & I will be hosting the Rodeo Opry in Cowtown. (Lynn is out of town). I'm going to be singing two songs: "At Last" and "Just a Closer Walk with Thee".

I also spent some time yesterday thinking about the songs for my follow-up album. I think I've got some pretty good choices. I'm going to put "I know who Holds Tomorrow' on there.. It was my grandmas favorite gospel song. I also found a neat version of "Some Kind of Wonderful" but it puts "My Savior and My Jesus" in it, so I think that will be funtimes as well. I'm also planning on putting a duet with my dad on there called "Wish You were Here" which should also be good. My dad is a great singer..but hardly ever sings WITH me, so this will be special.

I'm thinking of going to the movies tonight with Brandon & Amy (if they can get a sitter)..I want to go back to the Warren. I want to see the "Julie & Julia" with Merly Streep. It looks really cute..I would go see the movies "Orpha" or "Perfect Getaway" but I can't go by myself, beause it would scare the Pee waddlin out of me! So if They will go with me, we might see that!

Yesterday mom sent me pictures of the wild hogs that my dad, Steve, had shot..They are overtaking Western Oklahoma, and they are just gross...They ruin your fences, your land, deer, and spread disease everywhere..Well he and another guy waited for them to run out of the field they were swathing and they shot and killed 23 of them! Then they piled them on the back of a trailer and paraded them down mainstreet in Elk City!! Ahh..The Great White Hunters!! Only in Western Oklahoma does that happen..and thats why I love it! I'll refrain from posting the pics of the pig carcass..but they are GROSS!!
Come see me this weekend..You all have a good one!

Shorty Sheperds

We had a BLAST at Shorty Smalls! Thanks so much to everyone who came out and visited with me..I got to talk to so many people! I even heard some great jokes, and saw a magician! It was almost like a circus! We had a great time..and AWESOME food! And thanks to all my Ottomaniacs that showed up too..Several people tried to convince me that they love James Otto More than me..but I'm sorry..You don't..Lol.

I'm also getting excited for the State Fair..One of my favorite bands of all time, Boyz II Men are going to be there this year, and I LOVE them! So I'm ready for that.. Those Fried Twinkies at Shorty Smalls made me ready for Fair food!! MM MM!

Twitter me if you like: http://twitter.com/kcsheperd Randy Houser and I have been chatting on Twitter, but I haven't told him yet that I want to have his children..That would probably be a little too forward right?? lol!!!

Back to the vet...yet again..

WEll I had to go back to the vet yesterday because Payslee was making these bizarre sounds (see video below). I couldn't tell if she was reverse sneezing, snorting, or had a collapsed trachea! I was kinda flipping out, so I just decided to go ahead and take her in..Look at my sad little biscuit..

Well it wasn't a collapsed trachea (whew)! It turned out that she was having allergies due to the weather, and she was snorting..Kinda like trying to clear her throat, and making that sound. She got an allergy shot, and an antihistimine, and she was already better by yesterday evening. Mom says I can't have children, because I will spend all my time at the doctor's office! But all is well now..

So mom got a Nintendo WII for her birthday and she started playing it last night..Not sure she really loves it. I think she's scared of it! I'm going to get one for my birthday in September, and then we can trade games, and have all kinds of magical WII fun!

Tonight I'm going to be at Shorty Smalls at the Corner of Reno & Meridian. We'll have the new Face Showcase tickets for the first 93 people, 75 cent draws, and RIBS! So come on out!

Monday, August 3, 2009

Mmm Mmm MM Toasty!

I went to target yesterday and spent $160 on healthy food..I will tell you, its way more expensive to try and be skinny, than fat!

Okay..moving on.. I had a great weekend. Mom's surprise birthday party was on Friday. The girls at her bank had setup a trip to bring her to OKC to the Warren to watch "Funny People" in the upstairs theatre.. I arrived early to help another girl, Rene' order the food so that everything would be in place when they got there.. The food was delcious, and Mom was very excited to see us all.. But.. But.. The movie.. The Movie was entertaining. I actually thought it was funny, but there were several of the women who thought they needed to take a shower after watching it! It had some of the crudest sexually explicit jokes ever, and the cussing was never-ending! I dont know what was funnier, the movie, or watching some folks try to count how many cuss words they heard!! lol.. The whole thing was just a bit ridiculous.. but it kept making me laugh. Its like watching an "R" rated movie with your parents for the first time.. lol.. The movie should have been rated like RR.. Keep that in mind if you are planning on seeing it.

Afterwards the girls blind-folded mom and took her to the Renassciance where my dad was waiting for her with flowers & Chocolates. She was so surprised! It was great.. So my parents ended up spending the weekend up here. On Saturday we went BACK to the Warren and saw "The Ugly Truth" it was rated "R"..but not as "R" as Funny People! It was a cute, romantic comedy.. and I love the Warren Theatre..

After that we had supper at the Paseo Grill.. WOWZA! That was some of the best food I've ever had in my life! Mom had an amazing Pear/Spinach salad with glazed Wal-Nuts..They also brought us out some fried green beans, which were delish..For our entree' I had the fillet, with Mushrooms lightly sautéed in butter with fresh Garlic and Shallots topped with a Filet of Beef Tenderloin and finished with Beurre Marchand de Vin, and grilled grean beans..OOOO..SO GOOD! Mom had the Vegetarian Platter:Orzo & Pine Nut Pilaf, Sautéed Spinach, Tomatoes with Balsamic Vinegar & Bleu Cheese, Fresh Cucumber Salad and Glazed Carrots. Steve had the Surf & Turf: 6 oz. Filet of Beef Tenderloin topped with one Diver Sea Scallop and Jumbo Lump Crabmeat, finished with Saffron infused Beurre Blanc. Served with Mashed Potatoes and Glazed Carrots. (I took the descriptions off their menu..thank you). But man! It was soo good.. Then after you are finished they bring you these little dessert cups with mixed fruit, and whipped cream..They even leave a pair of reading glasses on the table so (folks that need them) can read the menu! I'm giving the Paseo Grill.. 5 STARS!~

I didn't do much yesterday, other than spend all my money at target..and this morning I woke up to Rally laying dang near ON my head, because he was scared of the storms..Now I'm trying to watch them on webcam, and realize that in his terror, Rally knocked down the petgates to the kitchen, and I cant see Payslee so Now I'm paranoid that she is racing about the house, or hurt.. Gaw.. I'm waaay to paranoid!
